Nora wanted to help this young shifter. She couldn’t invite him to visit Texas and meet that group of shifters without asking the brothers how they felt about it, but they could offer him some guidance. And they could try to be mentors to him.

Niall spoke up. “We don’t have answers right now, but we can try to find people who do. You weren’t part of the clan that I was born into.”

“There are clans? How many of us are there?” The awe was evident in his voice.

“These days, I’m not sure. I come from an old clan in Western Ireland. But we had a tragic event years ago when you were just a kid, and most of us were wiped out. I’ve heard there are shifters scattered all over Europe. Have you been back to Portugal to look?”

“No. At first, I didn’t have the money. Then I didn’t have the time off work. Now it’s been so long that I have just given up.”

“If you’d like to visit Portugal, we’d be happy to go with you,” Nora said.

At last, Davi smiled. “I would like that.”

Eventually, they made it back to Santorini. It was a relief to see the pristine white walls of the luxury hotel again. “I’m really glad we met Davi, but that was freaking insane,” Nora said.

“I agree. I’m just glad to have you alone again.”

Nora was glad too. Now she was going to really focus on Niall and on making the best Christmas for the two of them while they were in Greece. “Now that you have me alone, what are you going to do with me?”

  “I’m sure you can guess.”

“What if I can’t guess?” she asked.

“Then I’ll just have to show you.”

He gathered her hair up and kissed the nape of her neck. Inch by inch, he unzipped her dress and kissed down her spine, then peeled the dress from her skin. “I’ll never get enough of this view.”

She turned her head to look at him over her shoulder. “The Aegean Sea?”

He laughed against her skin. “You’re feeling sassy tonight, aren’t you?”

  “So what if I am?”

  “I like it,” he said.

“There’s more where that came from.” She shivered as her dress hit the floor, and then her bra and her panties. She spun to face him. “Now your turn.”

She slowly unbuttoned his shirt, one button at a time. She pushed the fabric off his shoulders, taking a moment to savor his strong biceps. She ran her hands over the slope of his shoulders and over his hard pectorals.

He sucked in a quick breath. “If you keep that up, it’s all going to be over soon.”

She ran her palms over his flat abs and then around to his back. “Then I suggest you learn to control yourself.”

“Now why did I think I liked this sassy side of you?”

She pressed her hands to the front of his jeans, feeling over the hard bulge of his erection. “Because it turned you on.”

He rocked his hips, pressing his throbbing cock into her warm hand. “You’re not wrong about that,” he said.

“I’m not wrong about much.” She really was, just like anyone else, but at that moment, she was enjoying pretending with him.

She unbuttoned his pants and pushed them down over his hips. She grabbed his boxers and pushed them down, revealing his rock hard cock.

Niall groaned. “That’s how right you were.”

She put her hands around his erection held on. He lifted her into the air and wrapped her legs around his waist. He pushed one hand between her legs. She was happy to realize that she was wet for him. He penetrated her core with one finger. Searing heat flowed through her entire body, lighting her up from the inside out.

He kissed her neck and added a second finger. “I love how ready you are for me,” he said.

  “Always,” she panted.

He thrust his fingers in and out of her, coating his fingers in her slick. He rubbed over her g-spot, massaging until she was ready to scream.

“I’m close,” she breathed. “I want you inside me.”

Still holding onto her, he knelt next to his bag, pulled out a condom, and rolled it on with one hand. He held onto her hips and lifted her so that her pussy was directly over his erection. He took it in hand and guided it between her folds. She was slick and ready, and his cock slipped right into her tight pussy.

She welcomed him into her body with a contented sigh.

He stood up straight, holding her easily with one arm until his cock was fully inside her body. Then he began to rock his hips back-and-forth. From that position, his cock hit her sweet spot each time he thrust.

She leaned her head back, exposing her neck to him. He grabbed her shoulders and pulled her in close, biting and licking all over her neck. Shuddering with desire, she put her hands on his shoulders and squeezed, screaming, “Niall!” She used her hands to leverage herself up and down, meeting his thrusts and moving her body up and down on his cock.

“Your cock feels so good,” she yelled. She really hoped these pristine white walls were well-insulated.

“Do you like it when I fill you up?” he growled.

“Yes, I love it when you fill me up.”

“Good,” he said in a low voice. Then he kissed her, still thrusting into her. “I love you,’’ he said.

His words sent another rush of heat between her legs. “I love you too. And I love your cock as well,” she said.

He leaned his forehead against hers. “I don’t know what’s gotten into you. But I like it.”

She giggled. She had never considered using graphic language before. She always heard that some people talk dirty in bed. She couldn’t imagine that appealing to her, but she liked the feeling of telling Niall how good she felt and how much she liked his body. It might not be considered bedroom talk by some people, but to her, it worked.

As she slid up and down on his cock, her pussy grew even wetter, and his cock grew even harder. She arched her back, which pressed her breasts into his face. He closed his mouth over her breasts. He licked her nipple, which sent a bolt of electricity directly to her pussy. Her pussy contracted. She was already so close, and he hadn’t even touched her clit. He continued to lick and suck at her breast while she bounced up and down on his cock. This was a position she had not imagined, but she liked it. She liked his strength, and she liked being in his arms.

She lifted her head back up and, this time, rested it against his neck, inhaling his strong masculine scent. He always smelled like evergreen trees to her. He brought his mouth up to her and kissed her.

“My fiancée,” he said to her.

“Yes,” she said. “You are going to be my husband.”

“And you’re going to be my wife.”

He carried her to the bed and laid her down. Carefully, he rolled her to her stomach and crawled on top of her. He ran his hand all over her bottom and her back as he slid his cock back in between her legs. He slid into her pussy with one strong thrust, and he put his hand between her legs. He pinched her clit gently. She shoved her hips back into his, desperate for his cock.

  “Oh,” she cried out.

  “Feel good?” he asked.

“So good. The angle is different.”

“There are so many things we can try.”

  “I look forward to it.

“We have years and years to try all the things we might want to do.”

Nora had been so sheltered. She had no idea what was out there. She made a note to remember to buy some books on the topic. She liked research, and there was no reason why she couldn’t spend time researching their lovemaking, just like she did other topics.

As he pinched her clit, he mouthed at the sensitive skin on her neck and pinched her nipples too. The sensations coalesced into the perfect storm of pleasure until, finally, she crashed and went flying over the edge. Her climax hit her hard, and her pussy tightened, pulsing as she came on his hard cock.

“I can feel you coming,” he said.

  “Come with me,” she shouted.

He did. He let go, and his hard co
ck throbbed, releasing into her body. He didn’t let go of her, holding her tight as they both came down from a shattering orgasm.

“I could stay here forever,” he whispered into her ear as she dozed off in his arms.

Nora was worn out from their trip to Greece and their ebullient celebration of Christmas in Santorini, but as soon as she was home in their cottage in Galway, she didn’t get a break for the new year.

The female portion of the clan was due to arrive. She would be thrilled to see them, but she could have used an extra day or two of sleep. She showered and brushed her teeth, then crawled right back under the covers.

Niall took pity on her and brought her breakfast in bed. He wore only jeans and no shirt, and she licked her lips. They would have a lifetime together, and she would never get tired of staring at his sculpted muscles. He was insanely sexy, but he spoiled her too. He had cooked a traditional Irish breakfast of bacon, fried eggs, toast, and fried tomato.

She tugged on his arm. “Thank you. And you’re going to have to help me eat all this food.”

He moved the tray to the dresser and tackled her, grabbing her around the waist and pulling her close. He kissed her eyelids, her nose, her cheeks, and then, finally, her mouth. She rolled over, lying on top of him while he skimmed his hands up and down her bare back.

“Are you sure you have to go?” He gave her bottom a good squeeze. “You could let them pick your dress out.”

“They probably wouldn’t mind, but I do want to see them.” She rolled to her side and stared at him, skimming her hand over his chest. If she didn’t get up soon, she’d be too turned on to leave. She laid her hand flat on his rock-hard abs. “You sure you don’t want to join us today?”

“Shopping for a wedding dress? I don’t think I’m allowed to see it before the wedding, am I?”

“I don’t know. Is that a custom?” she asked.

“I’ve heard that’s a big deal to humans. Or maybe it’s that the groom is not supposed to see the bride on the wedding day.”

“I’m sure I will find out soon.” With great reluctance, she dragged herself from the bed, giving him one last lingering look. “Let’s go in the kitchen and eat your delicious food so that I won’t be tempted to have my way with you.”

He wrapped his arms around her. “You can have your way with me anytime you want.”

“Mmm. I do want. Maybe after shopping today.”

He only laughed. He knew as well as she did that he wouldn’t be seeing too much of her until the Texas dragons left. Minutes later, multiple voices were outside their door, all saying her name.

“I’ll let them in,” Niall said.

“Put on a shirt first!” These might be Nora’s new family members, for all intents and purposes, and they had their own handsome males to look at, but she still didn’t want any female seeing her hot fiancè parading around without a shirt.

Niall rolled his eyes, but he complied with her request. He pulled a sweater on and pried the door open. “Ladies.”

Within seconds, Nora was being hugged by five grown women who were all talking at once.

“Let the wedding shopping begin,” Juliana shouted.

Hours later, Nora had tried on at least twenty dresses. None had worked for her yet. Fallon led her to a chair and handed her a glass of champagne, courtesy of the store’s owner.

“We aren’t giving up,” Brynne said.

Then Clara showed up with another armful of dresses. “I have a good feeling about this bunch.”

Nora hoped so. She’d assumed she didn’t care about the dress, but as she began to try them on, she started to imagine herself on her wedding day, walking down the aisle toward Niall. She imagined the look on his face when he saw her decked out in white. Now she understood why the dress was such a big deal to other women.

Nora finished her glass of champagne and put the glass down. “Okay, I’m ready.”

Juliana handed her the first dress in the new group. Nora stepped into it. Clara zipped up the back and fastened the tiny little buttons on the back. Before Nora could turn around and face the mirrors, all four of the females with her gasped. Clara was the loudest. Her hands came up to cover her mouth. Fallon’s eyes shimmered with tears.

“This is the one,” Juliana muttered under her breath, and Brynne was nodding over and over.

Slowly, Nora turned to face the mirror. Now their reactions were understandable. This was the dress. This was the dress she would wear to marry Niall.

It was a creamy, off-white color with spaghetti straps. The bodice was silk, and the skirt was full-tiered and embellished with flower detailing. She looked almost ethereal wearing it, which was fitting for a witch marrying a dragon shifter in an Irish castle.

Clara, Juliana, Brynne, and Fallon all hugged her over and over.

“Now I understand why brides don’t want the groom to see them before the ceremony,” she said. She couldn’t wait to see the look on Niall’s face while she walked to the altar.

  Epilogue

In the end, after much deliberation, Nora had chosen the wedding venue with Niall’s help. With the entire world as a possibility for the ceremony, she’d decided to go back to their roots. Both she and Niall had left home at eighteen for other countries, but after a long road of hardships, they’d both returned home to Ireland, and neither of them ever intended to leave.

The wedding would take place in Ireland, where they both had history. “It will be special for the Texas dragons too,” Nora had told Niall. “The brothers still consider this home, and so do Brynne and Fallon, for the most part.”

“You don’t have to—” Niall began to say, but Nora hopped up and gave him a quick kiss on the mouth.

“I know what you’ll say. That we don’t have to please the Texas dragons. But I want to. They are a part of us now.”

They would be saying their vows at Cloghan Castle in Loughrea County, Galway, which wasn’t far from their home. Clara and Juliana had made several visits, even when Nora couldn’t get out of class, and every detail was complete.

As wedding venues went, it was perfect. The castle itself was enchanting. They would say their vows on the rooftop and then go downstairs to the dining hall for the reception. They would be married on the first Saturday in June.

The ceremony itself was small. It consisted of Kellan and Clara, Quinn and Juliana, Liam and Brynne, and Brennan and Fallon, and all of their hatchlings. Niall ended up inviting several of his colleagues, and they all came. One of them was even an ordained minister, and he’d agreed to handle the ceremony.

She couldn’t wait for Niall to see her dress. Just as she’d suspected, his entire face lit up when he caught the first glimpse of her. She spent the ceremony in a haze of delight, hardly able to believe how her fortune had changed. On the ancient rooftop, a violinist played the classical Celtic songs that Clara had chosen, and Nora kissed her groom right after they were pronounced husband and wife.

On cloud nine, Nora floated into the dining hall, where she was met with a nice surprise—at the last minute, Davi showed up.

Nora hugged him tightly. “You came.”

  “I would not miss it.”

He looked handsome. He had on a crisp black suit and a maroon tie. His dark hair curled around his ears, and his dark eyes looked more alive than she’d ever seen them. They’d kept in contact with the young shifter over the last year. She and Niall both emailed him every week. He’d visited them twice, and they’d offered to take him to Portugal, but he wasn’t ready yet. He’d also met the Texas shifters via email, and now he’d finally get to meet them in person. Nora knew that one day, he would be ready to return to Portugal. Then she and Niall would step in and help him as much as they could.

In the reception hall, the tables were piled high with food, and a small orchestra played traditional Gaelic songs. As she and Niall danced, he held her close.

“This is the best day of my life,” he whispered into her ear.

  She agreed. She trie
d to agree with him, but the lump in her throat wouldn’t let her speak without crying. Instead, she kissed her new husband right on the mouth.

“You’re going to love the Virgin Islands,” Clara said as they all packed their belongings the day after the wedding. They’d all celebrated until three in the morning and slept until noon the next day. “But we can’t wait until y’all come to Texas.”

Niall put his hand on Nora’s back. “There’s no reason why we can’t go now.”

  “Really?” Nora asked.

“We have the time. It would be the perfect start to our marriage.”

Clara’s shout of excitement could be heard a mile away.

Twelve hours later, Niall was driving their rented SUV into the driveway of Kellan’s mansion in Cedar Lake. Nora had never been anywhere like Texas. “It’s so…flat. And the roads are so straight. And so wide!”

Kellan chuckled. “We do have a few hilly areas.”

They made a point to visit each couple’s home. “They’re so big! And there are closets! Everywhere!” Nora exclaimed.

Juliana smiled. “There’s a saying that everything’s bigger in Texas. And it’s true. We have more land here and more space to spread out. The houses aren’t very old, not compared to Europe.” After a whirlwind tour of the town, they all went back to Kellan’s mansion to sleep.

The guest room was just as luxurious as the rest of the house, and her exhausted body passed out right away.

As the sun brightly shone the next morning, Declan ran through the hallways, yelling, “Come on, everyone! Time for my football game!”

When he’d found out they were visiting, Declan had been over the moon. He had an off-season football game, and he was thrilled they’d get to attend.

Niall kissed Nora as the kids banged on the walls. “A large family holiday isn’t the most typical honeymoon.”

“We’re still going to get that romantic time alone.”

She pushed herself up from the plush guest bed. Immediately a wave of nausea hit her. She ran to the bathroom and threw up.
