"F*ck" He whispered and looked at me.
"Something happened between you and the Alpha am I right?" Yvan asked, I was shocked and at the same time blushed maybe due to embarrassment.
"Cass answer me" Yvan asked, I sighed.
"How did you know?" I asked, I'm still confused because of the idea that Yvan knows the things that happened to me and the Alpha but why do I feel like I'm having an idea on where this conversation will lead to.
"What's happening Yvan? How do you know all of those things?" I asked.
With his serious face, he looked at me "Not all Hybrids have tattoos as an identity, only the officials of the Hybrid Empire gets a tattoo" Yvan explained that made me more confused.
"Wait what? So are you saying that I am an official of the Hybrid Empire? How is a servant official?" I asked "You know I'm just his servant" I added.
Yvan chuckled "Every official have different tattoos and my tattoo is very different from yours and don't tell me you're still not getting the idea Cass. We're you not curious why the Alpha treats you more than like a servant? He uses you whenever he wants, he even gathered all the hybrids to attack the Rebellion Empire when you we're abducted. We're you not curious about these and have you never searched about the real meaning of your tattoo?" Yvan asked with his face so serious.
Yeah I get the idea and it's so clear to me but a part of me does not want that to believe, why? Because I am the Queen, the Queen of teh Rebellion Empire.
Yvan took a step forward, lessening the distance between me and him.
"The tattoo that you have right now in your body is the same with the tattoo that the Alpha has in his body. Cassandra you are the Alpha's mate" Yvan said and those voices became echoes in my ears, it's piercing through my ears like as if my senses don't want that fact to believe. I shook my head, I can't be the Alpha's mate.
"N-no, I-I can't be--" I said and attempted to run away and leave Yvan but before I could even leave, Yvan stopped me.
"Don't tell me you will go out wearing nothing?" He asked.
I harshly removed his hand and rushed to wear my clothes, as I wear my clothes, Yvan spoke "Why don't you want to be the Alpha's mate? It's just ironic that something happened to you and the Alpha yet you oppose the idea that you're his mate?" Yvan said.
After wearing my clothes, I looked at him "You don't understand and you will never" I said and left the gym.
Alpha's mate?
I tighten my grip to my skirt as I try to remove that idea top my head. Yes, being the Alpha's mate is a blessing to anyone but its a curse to me because I can't be the Alpha's mate when I am the Rebel's Queen.
I brushed my palms to my face "How is this happening to me, I mean why is this happening to me?" I shook my head many times.
What kind of situation is this? How did I come to this? This is beyond imaginable.
Misty's Point of View
I didn't mean to listen to the conversation of both the Delta and Cassandra, I was already in the cubicle wrapping up the files of the lady I just inspected but then suddenly Cassandra entered. I did not mean to hide from her, I just wanted to scare her and laugh at her once she strips her body but then I also saw it.
As Cassandra is watching her body, I saw the tattoo in her body, a tattoo that only the Alpha's mate should have.
I started thinking things when Yvan entered the cubicle and there, suddenly they talked about Cassandra being the Alpha's mate. I covered my mouth because of the shocking truth that I'm hearing right now.
Cassandra doesn't sound happy about the fact that she is the Alpha's mate and I understand her for that. After all, I'm the only one who knows from the Hybrid Empire that she is the Queen. How could the Queen and the Alpha's mate become just one person? Just how and why is this happening to Cassandra?
I heard Cassandra run away, I wanted to follow her but I can't since I'm hiding right now but then all of a sudden. The Delta spoke.
"You can now come out Cardinal" The Delta suddenly said that made my eyes grow wide.
I slowly came out from where I am hiding. "H-how did you know that I'm hiding here?" I asked.
"I was the one who discovered that you're the Cardinal because of your scent. Your scent is too strong to not recognize, I thought at first that it may be Cassandra's scent but she left already and the scent is still there that's why I'm positive it was you" He said.
"So you heard everything, now you know who the Alpha's mate is" He said.
I nodded slowly "Yeah" I answered and stood up.
"If you would excuse me Delta, I just need to follow her" I said and stormed out of the gym to look for Cassandra. I did not fail because I saw her sitting beside the university lake.
"Yow Cass" I said as I try to get her attention.
"What is the Cardinal doing here? It's too dangerous for you to roam around. There are also rebels in this university--- wrong it's actually just okay since you're a fake cardinal planted by the Rebels" She said mocking me as the fake cardinal trying to pass me the frustration that she's feeling right now.
I sighed and smirked "What about the Alpha's mate? It's also dangerous for the Alpha's mate to roam around because there are also Rebels in this university--- or maybe not, because the Alpha's mate--" I said and looked at her with my eyes locked at her
"Is also the Rebel's Queen" I continued, giving her back the mock that she just gave me.
Cassandra seemed so shock that I know about the fact that she just learned today.
"How did you know?" She asked.
"Sorry, I accidentally heard it. I was also at the cubicle, I did not mean to ruin your privacy. I just wanted to scare you but the conversation suddenly got so serious" I said trying to explain myself.
I was expecting her to at least shout at me bit instead of doing that, Cassandra suddenly laughed, it was a very creepy laugh like as if she's being possessed by some crazy ghost.
"You and I are the only one who knows each other's situation and we're using it against each other. How funny right? Why does it have to be us who needs to suffer like this?" She asked and for a second she's right.
Yes we may be lucky to be chosen as Cardinal, Alpha's mate or Queen. It's a blessing, I know it is but it became a curse because we're on both sides that made it beyond imaginable. Our situation has become a joke.
Cassandra's Point of View
I looked up the sky, it's already sunset and the it seems like this day was too slow to pass. Lara and I succeeded in concealing our forbidden marks. She sacrificed three of her people to save the rest but she assured me that they will never speak about the Hunters.
Lara told me that she will leave the school early to gather all the hunters and plan how to save the four people who we're caught. I know that what I'm doing right now is wrong, Well yeah everything that I did so far was all wrong that's why I am in this mess.
It's just so ironic that I help my enemy even though I know that I am the Queen and the Alpha's mate.
As for Misty, she also left early because Eros came to pick her up. Here's another stupid dog who loyally loves a woman not knowing that woman is his enemy.
I sighed, right, Misty's situation is very a like to my situation. We both know that we'll end up a tragic ending or maybe a tragic death and the reason of that tragic death is that we we're just being who they want us to be. We just lived the life and accepted the role that they gave to us, that is our only sin that would lead us to our tragic end.
As I walk through the wide parking lot of the university, I saw Yvan's entering his car.
I immediately ran towards him and blocked his way. As he step on the break, I went towards the passenger's seat and opened the door.
"What's wrong with you?! Do you intend to kill yourself and make me the murderer?!" Yvan shouted in anger.
"You're going to the Hybrid mansion right? I'll come with you" I said as I put on my seat belt.
"No I'm not going there, I'm going somewhe--" I did not let him finish what he's about to say.

"Then get me to the Hybrid mansion" I said.
"Are you commanding me?" Yvan asked, I looked at him with my poker face.
"Of course I am and did you just forgot that you we're the one who told me that I'm the Alpha's mate" I said "So obviously, as the Alpha's mate you have to obey my command, Delta" I said mocking him.
He looked at me with his expression changed "Cass are you angry? Look being the Alpha's mate is not bad actually it's a good title--"
"Who says I'm mad?" I asked and left him speechless.
"So you're not?" He asked.
"Why would I? Just as you said earlier, it's a very good title so why the hell would I get mad when I'm the Alpha's mate" I said "And can you start driving now? Yvan?" I asked.
Yvan sighed "Cass, you sound so angry. Are we okay?" He asked.
For awhile I thought, why would I pass my frustration to the Cardinal and to the Delta when in fact they don't have nothing to do with my situation. It was actually my fault that I'm in this kind of situation.
I sighed and looked at Yvan who is still waiting for my response staring at me. He is a dog indeed, a very loyal one. Right now Yvan looked like a dog who was scolded by its owner.
I laughed looking at him "Chill Yvan, what's wrong with you? You look like a dog lost from home" I said as I laugh.
Yvan stared at me and then he shook his head. He started the engine and then he started driving.
"Why do you want to go to the Hybrid Mansion?" Yvan asked.
I sighed "I just want to ask him why did he choose me as his mate, why does it have to be me" I said, after saying that, Yvan stayed silent maybe he chose to stay silent.
"The Alpha did not just easily choose you as his mate, you chose each other as each other's mate" Yvan said as he continue driving, I looked at him "What do you mean? How come I also chose him as my mate?" I asked.
"Before you had sex with him, have you ever looked at you tattoo?" He asked. "Uhm yeah?" I said.
"Is there a change after you spend a night with him?" Yvan asked me. I sighed, He talks about sex and private life so casually click as if it's not private!!!
"Yvan why do you ask me those kinds of questions? You're making me uncomfortable" I said.
"But was there a change?" Yvan asked ignoring what I just said. I sighed "Yes there was, I thought at first it's absurd, at first it was just simple and regular crown but after that night, it changed, it was more sophisticated" I said, I was positive it changed because I compared that tattoo to the Queen's mark and I know exactly how it looks but I shrugged it off thinking that I saw it wrong.
"Alphas have special smelling ability to detect their mates, he loves smelling you because the scent that you have is that of the Alpha's mate's scent which drives the Alpha crazy" The Delta explained.
I stare at Yvan as I listen to him "Obviously he did not make you the Alpha;s mate not because he likes you nor he wants to give you a hard time. "You are destined to be the Alpha's mate Cassandra, its in your blood. I know that you kissed each other a lot and did you not notice that every time he kisses you, even if you want to stop you can't instead you enjoy it with him because you're also crazy for him. Your blood goes crazy because of him why? Because he's you're his mate" Yvan said.
"But I'm a human, how can a human become the Alpha's mate" I said and for a moment, he stayed quiet. I thought he will also answer me but time has passed and Yvan is still quiet until we reach the Hybrid mansion.
"We're here" Yvan said and before he could come out of the car, I held her hand. "You're still not answering me" I said locking my gaze to him.
Yvan sighed and looked at me "That is not a question for me to answer. The only ones who can answer your question is you and him now go inside and have the Alpha answer your question" Yvan said.
I looked at Yvan and he seemed serious and sad about that topic. Why do I feel like its not a good idea to know what will happen if the Alpha's mate is a human.
I jumped out of Yvan's car and thanked him for giving me a ride.
As I enter the Alpha's mansion, I immediately saw him sitting on his couch. He doesn't seem busy today.
I approached him and the I stood up right in front of him.
"So you already know" He said calmly sitting in his couch sipping his coffee.
"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked seriously, he sighed and placed his cup on the table beside him. He looked at me and then he grinned, the usual grin he gives me.
Why do you think I didn't tell you?" He asked, I chuckled.
"Would I ask you if I know?" I said.
"Is that a question or sarcasm?" He asked. I sighed trying to compose my self and looked at him.
"Is it because I'm a human? Is it because the Alpha's mate is a human?" I asked.
He looked at me with his serious eyes "See, you know the answer" He said making me more furious.
Yes I'm furious but looking at his eyes, he maybe annoying me right now but deep inside his eyes, I know that he's about tell me something that I will never want to hear.
"So what will happen to us if the Alpha's mate is a human?" I asked. With that question he locked his gaze to my eyes trying to read me.
"Do you honestly not know what will happen to you?" The Alpha asked making me curious.
"You will die Cassandra" He said locking his gaze to my eyes.
Chapter 16
Alphas from Four Continents
"Do you honestly not know what will happen to you?" The Alpha asked making me curious. "I will never ask you if I know the answer" I said sarcastically.
"You will die Cassandra" He said locking his gaze to my eyes making me freeze for a while.
"Being my mate doesn't just mean being my partner. We will also have to have an offspring which mean you will have to have a baby and that baby will be my heir, the next Alpha in line" The Alpha explained.
"And? What's the catch?" I asked but I think I know what he'll say next.
"So you really want me to say it. Obviously since I'm a wolf, our child will be a wolf or a human and if the child is a wolf. That child will slowly eat your flesh and blood while inside your womb. Before the child get's out of your womb, you're already dead" The Alpha explained making me tremble and shiver in fear.
"If the Alpha's mate is a human, the child will kill the mother" The Alpha continued, I dropped in to my knees after hearing that.
I will die? In the hands of my own child? This is freaking absurd.
The Alpha stood up and started walking towards me, he tried to touch me but I distanced myself to him "D-don't touch me" I said.
"I-I need time to think" I said and started walking to my own room.
I went straight to the corner and hugged my legs, this can't be happening. As I mourn for myself, I remembered what the oracle had told me.
She warned me that day and I never listened to her and now this happened.
I laughed realizing what situation I am in, I have always been stupid in choosing my own fate.

I woke up because of the gentle taps that I received from someone.
"Miss Cass, it's already time for you to prepare" Says a new face that I have never seen before. They are all wearing a servant's uniform. As far as I know, I am the only servant in the Hybrid mansion.
"W-who are you?" I asked.
They smiled as they bow down to me "We are the servant of the Alpha couple and we're here to get you ready" One of them said making me chuckle because of this absurd situation.
Yesterday I was a servant and then suddenly I wake up being the Alpha's mate? How funny. I looked at them.
"What do you mean preparation?" I asked. The servants looked at each other.
"It seems like the Alpha did not inform you but madame, he will introduce you to the whole Hybrid Empire as his mate. Not only to the Hybrids of Luna Canidae but also to the other Hybrid Empires in the whole world" Says the servant that made me speechless.
"Alphas from dif
ferent continents around the world will come to visit you and witness the Alpha's mate of Luna Canidae" The servant said.
"Other Alphas? Hey I don't know that there are other Alphas beside ours?" I asked. The servants seemed confused because of what I've said but then before they could even answer. Misty entered my room.
"You may now go, I'll take good care of the Alpha's mate" Misty said, the servants looked at me asking for confirmation. I nodded and looked at Misty who is smirking.
"Well yeah, the servants should listen to you not to me because you're position now is higher than mine. You're the Alpha's mate anyway" Misty said mocking me.
"This is not the time to joke around Misty I need your answer. How come that there are other Alphas?" I asked. Before she answer me, she opened my closet and got a towel, after that, she handed it to me "As I answer you, go take a shower, we're already late" She said.
"What do you mean as you answer me? Don't tell me you'll watch me as I take a bath? Are you nuts Misty!" I said.
"Don't flatter your self! It's not even worth it to watch your body. Of course I'll stay outside" Misty explained pushing me to the shower room.
As I take a shower, I asked her "So tell me Misty, I thought there's only one Alpha?" I asked.
"You're wrong, Luna Canidae is not the only place with human wolves. There are also Human wolves around the world. There are five main kingdoms of the human wolves and the strongest and largest kingdom is of course Luna Canidae that's why the whole world wants to witness this event because the Alpha will introduce you as his mate" Misty explained.
"You see, its already a tradition to all hybrids that if an Alpha gets a mate, all Alphas should be there to congratulate him" Misty said and paused for a while.
"But... that's actually just an excuse, the Hybrids from around the world will not actually congratulate the Alpha but instead they will come here to find a weakness and that weakness is you Cassandra, the Alpha's mate who is a human" Misty explained.
