“Just a bonus.” He grinned as she lifted up on her tiptoes. He leaned down and dropped a peck on her lips.
“I’m glad you’re settling into your new home.” She opened up a cabinet before retrieving some dishes. “Let’s eat at the bar.”
“So have you decided if you want to get married in the mountains at Christmas or have a beach wedding in late spring?”
Maddie smiled. “I’m leaning in the direction of a tropical getaway with a wedding and honeymoon combo.”
He plated their breakfast. “I think I love that idea.”
“Yeah?” She poured some coffee for both of them. “I love you.”
He lifted his mug. “Here’s to us.”
She tapped the side of her cup against his. “I’ll drink to that.”
