The Futility Wars

  "So this is the fabled daughter, Yua" Ericka said while Yua sat down, She smiled back. Yua knew her stunts in the milky way galaxy were common knowledge to the Vanguard and their intelligence network, Sure she had killed a few hundred people that tried to hassle her or rape her, she was adventurous and traveled all the bad places in the galaxy to sharpen her gifts.

  Ricardo coughed loudly and then spoke "So, I assume there is something special about that key? Considering how you carried it like a newborn child." Yua nodded.

  "This is my fathers complete access codes to every ship and station in this galaxy, a last defense if any alien forces or the futility adapts and break the barrier in the Ortha galaxy, Which they are trying mind you. Futility might be officially dead in humanities eyes, but they are still struggling hard and will live on for at least a few thousand years, they might evolve again to break free of solar awakening devices guarding the borders and pushing inward."

  Everyone shook at the information, they had never forgotten the Futility since their battle in the Ortha galaxy, but they had assumed they had died out by now and not still struggling in the five galaxies they were contained in. Everyone just looked at that key and wanted to plug it in immediately to get remedy to their situation.

  "I will warn you all again, just as i warned Ricardo. There will be a price to pay for angering my father and if he ever comes back to the milky way i think most of you will die or being imprisoned in some galaxy extremely far away. So last chance to cancel this." Yua said, "We are all of the same mind here, We need the resources and ships to properly take the reins of humanity once again, We need to show the other factions that we still are topping dog, and that the civilians of the galaxy remember the glory of the old." Redmond said.

  Everyone nodded and Yua put the key into the command console which were similar to the one in the cabin, They looked at the screen at countless new connections and maps that appeared constantly billions of ships were going active sending slave pings to be chained to the Vanguard console, "My god. I knew there was hidden fleets and resource sites in the milky way but this is too much!" "Look at the warehouse data!? There are enough stored there to build at least a trillion ships!" "The food and elixir stockpiles are insane as well, we can finally reopen the market. There is even a overflow being stored in giant containers in that system, We should immediately activate the Vanguard colors and start patrolling every livable system to show our force!" the room spoke with vigor and passion.

  Yua nodded and froze for a second and shook in fear "Father knows, He is not happy." She started to shake uncontrollably and fell off the chair holding her head. Blood were dripping from her mouth "Enough S-4XN-001! This is Ricardo and i know you can hear me! Answer me!" Ricardo yelled, and Yua stopped shaking and scrambled up to her chair and started to breathe heavily, The screen turned on and this time it was not the Vanguard issued armor black and gold, now it was something else sleek, dangerous and extremely advanced. Ricardo could see the swirls of black dripping of the armor which he could only assume was a holographic effect.

  "I am disappointed in you Ricardo, You should have solved things with the resources you have. Now you will upset the balance of the galaxy once again, I might as well just returned myself knowing the countless fleets and resources now at Vanguard disposal, I am not as petty enough to break my own rule of returning to the milky way without being voted on to return. So you have your ships and resources to supply and defend humanity forever in comfort, a win for you i suppose?" He said with a cold metallic voice.

  "Father, You kn-" "Enough Yua! You will return immediately to accept my judgement, you will listen this time and be a good daughter!" S-4XN-001 spoke with zero empathy in his voice. "No, I will not listen to you. You are always demanding and never showing a care for me! It's always Daniel this and Daniel that! Do you even care about Juliet? When was the last time you just simply called for a father a daughter chat? Why do you hate us? Was it because we were born female or that we do not go around the galaxy adventuring and playing games like you do? Marcus and Kenny are just your experiments like we were before being discarded!" Yua yelled back at screen.

  S-4XN-001 frowned under his armor and was about to speak harshly but closed his mouth and just stared at Yua, She was showing a side he had never seen before, and he was not happy about his authority and plans being ruined, but maybe she had a point? Did he relate more to Daniel and his adventurous side than Yua and Juliet who were more passive and supportive like their mother. He was a loss for words, He immediately sent a data packet to Seyla, and she joined the conversation "Yua, please come back. We need to all sit down and talk, nothing will happen i promise. This is not the right moment to have an argument" Seyla said.

  Yua let out a breath of air and nodded the conversation immediately ended, The vanguard commanders stood up and saluted Yua which she deserved after helping humanity as a whole, Ricardo felt it was not right to speak to Yua anymore, She probably would be punished lightly considering, but this was the right move for humanity as a whole. The commanders sat down and began the reorganization of the fleets, which would grow from 50 to 5000, They needed to promote and assign new commanders.

  Yua traveled to the gateway and it was already active waiting for her, she entered the system and then jumped to the coordinates where the "headquarters" were, which was his fathers massive mother ship that housed his warrior data banks and other important stuff, She entered the system and got the scan reply of the trillions of ships guarding every single aspect of this system, The mother ship was sitting calmly, and she knew even the most powerful weapons could not damage it, It could ram a black hole and still come out unscathed on the other side. No surprise attacks could take it out which was the way warriors died in the old days, a portal jump and a well-placed shot.

  She got docking permissions on the special Ark that housed his fathers "human" body which he rarely used, Seyla lived on the Ark occasionally, but she was more of a social animal that were going around for talks or diplomatic missions, She stepped into that cold ark interior which was usually lively whenever she visited one, there were countless humans living on arks across the milky way. They were the lucky ones considering how they were designed for ultimate comfort and able to house a billion people easily while still having room for a billion more, they were the ships designed if the futility every reached the galaxy and humanity needed to rebuild. Yua knew the true purpose of the Arks was to give birth to warriors with the powerful production facilities able to build drones and other ships needed to re-establish in another galaxy.

  Yua stepped into the main hall and entered the lift toward the housing section and stepped onto the grass and saw a single house in middle of a endless plain, usually there would be millions of houses in this lot but this was his fathers personal Ark, and he would wait inside, he could feel the psychic auras travel from the house, and she knew her brothers and sisters were there as well, not counting Daniel which was in the milky way still.

  She walked into the villa under the gaze of everyone and sat down on the sofa next to her sister Juliet, her brothers Marcus and Kenny were sitting on each side with her father and mother in front, Yua saw her mothers smile, and she felt immediately better, her father was still frowning and probably thinking about something other than her. "Yua, This time you have gone to far even for me, you should have thought a little about the big picture which i hate to say, But your father is right in this regard giving the Vanguard the master key was not something you should have done, especially out of some misguided spite." Seyla said, Her brothers nodded and Juliet spoke up.

  "Yua did what she had accessed too, It's your fault for putting her in charge of the milky way defenses while you were doing something else, If you did not want this to happen you should have done it yourself!" Yua was happy to hear her sister defend her, "You should have asked anyone first before you did it! You could have asked mother if you did not want to get father to stop you! She would have also told you it was a bad idea!
" chimed Marcus in, Yua knew Marcus was right in a way, but she still kept her mouth quiet.

  "Yua, What you told us through the communication you must know is not true, Matthias loves you and so does everyone else in the family. I admit that we have been bit cold toward you, but we have been incredibly busy with the Cyr and the alien races we are constantly butting heads with, not even considering the futility your father still has most of his attention on. They are still a massive threat to anyone in this galaxy and cannot be left to simply their own devices." Seyla said.

  Yua snorted, "Don't defend him, let him speak the truth! He loathes me for not being the same as Daniel, I was his prize until he came along and i was discarded like a piece of garbage!" Matthias just stared at her and Marcus and Kenny both yelled at her.

  "You are right, Yua. Do i care about you? Of course. Do i feel you are inferior to Daniel or even a hindrance in most regards, Yes. Now you know. Do you know how much i have to do in this universe? I was a simple man in retrospect i just wanted a galactic adventure and escape that cursed hospital room i still go back to whenever i sleep in my human body, afraid that this is all a nightmare i will soon wake up. But i will never abandon you, or anyone in this family. I just wanted to be a warrior to defend humanity, but i gone astray in this regard as well, Were you right in giving the Vanguard the master key? Yes. If you see it from a betterment of humankind, which i do not. I do not care about humanity or the milky way at all, There is so much more, and they keep fighting for some territory or pieces of food! They are ungrateful and deserves their own fate, I would steer them to the right direction they needed, but they voted me out! Me! Who saved every goddamn human in the universe! And perhaps the universe as a whole! What do i get!? Ungrateful daughter and humans complaining thinking they know better! I know better! That's why i am alive and all other warriors are dead or returned to their frail human bodies!" Matthias roared at Yua.

  Everyone froze and even Seyla was out of words to reply, She stroked his hand and his face calmed down "I did not care about your mother when we first met or even when both of you were born, but i changed as well as everyone i interacted with, Love is a strange thing that is unavoidable even to someone as me who thinks its just a biological impulse, I care about everyone in this room and that's enough for me, I will send you off to somewhere where you can learn something. That's enough of punishment." Matthias said with a sigh. They all sat down just thinking about it all.

  Yua was the first to leave and Juliet followed, Marcus closed his eyes and spoke "Father, I'm going to the milky way galaxy. I need to see things for myself. Kenny are you coming with me?" Kenny nodded, and they left the room leaving him with Seyla alone. He knew from his powerful scans they immediately entered their ships and set course for their personal armadas he had gifted them to travel the alien universe, he sat there staring and leaned himself onto Seylas shoulder, and they both closed their eyes and basked in each other psychic aura.

  Yua was lead down the ramp by the lights on the floor, and she entered her ship with her sister watching her board, She got coordinates to a system, and she jumped there instantly. She saw countless swarming drones and a planet of alien design, she got a message from a Cyr which she never spoken too "Ah, Yua. I am Dragon. Your father named me that in his great honor, and we will do wonders together. Please land on the planet so you can begin the great ceremony." he spoke.

  Yua replied "Ceremony? What ceremony?" The Android lightly laughed "The naming ceremony which your mother promised, She promised she would name the two million greatest productive people of our race. Please think of names while you land. This will take a few months of celebration then the naming ceremony can being televised every day of course."

  Yua lightly smiled and ended the conversation, she got her docking coordinates, and she facepalmed, she rather be trapped in a jail cell than deal with these fanatic Cyr loyalist which were frantic to receive a proper name, she would at least do what she could and end this punishment as quickly as she could. This was lightly getting off considering but extremely boring.

  Year 3170

  The Vanguard finally revealed their fangs to the galaxy once again and massive armadas started to appear across any lived in territory with swarms of ships uncountable by their enemies and allies alike, They made one simple announcement immediate surrender and sign a treaty which expanded Vanguards' area of influence ten-fold which dug into each of the massive empires territories, They knew it was a show of force and a humiliation they had to suffer since they all signed it immediately, they could not even engage that fleet of superior ships and seeing countless dreadnoughts and titans which guarded the now active gateways which were open again, and free to travel. They all were happy that the markets had open again which was the one bonus they got from the treaty, but they were already plotting their revenge in the dark since in the open they could never show their fangs again.

  The garden system was now repopulating in the billions every month since they started to tear down all the extra farms and build housing again, There were even more earth class planets in a new system called Eden which contained 1200 earth Class planets and a sun, Ricardo knew the horrible truth of the system that it was an engineered system with planets built around the sun at perfect gravity and rotation, so they would never needed to be shielded or temperature controlled, which they still were. Nobody like winter for several months in a row.

  Ricardo and the Vanguard commanders patted themselves on their backs and cheered loudly with their champagne glasses which was a rarity as a whole, They had brought back their honor and humanity was flourishing again, the empires were losing populations in the billions and the were re-affirming themselves as the top dog they were always, and they would do their damn best to never let go which they never did, but humanity needed a reminder once in a while, and now with all the gates active across the milky way there was a sense of cohesion again which were lost, trade was the ultimate spread of culture and civility and that was now the most sought after occupation, colonization across the milky way increased as well. And the Vanguard started to sell the A1-Metal again in their markets which were excellent for any planetary or space station construction, not even considering the battleship production.

  They were taking chances, but they wanted it to be like the old days they remembered where everyone was united and the warriors did all the fighting, the only real changes was that they were now the "warriors" fighting for humanity, and they would never engage other humans unless they struck first. Ricardo downed his drink and smiled watching the houses go up constantly on the planets and the soon to be happy families living there in bliss, while the taxes shrunk immensely.

  Juliet stood on the stone steppes watched the latest batch of trainees from across the milky way coming to understand their gift that manifested in them, She would usually send her trainers out to find them but these people were drawn here with their psychic energy across the milky way which was constant and only needed to be pulled to find the information to find this system, It was her little test she had added and it had taken her 15 years to shape the pulse of the massive machine hidden in the garden system that managed to pulse out this special energy, Her father was a genius in machinery and it was no wonder he was the most powerful psychic in the galaxy or probably the universe. The aliens had finally bucked and shared how they bound their psychic energy to machinery and her father had taken it to the next level constantly with his massive processing power.

  The aliens were able to share in the massive machinery aswell, and they were most grateful to be able to access all that raw power which they used to feed themselves, their civilization lived on psychic and solar energy since they were pretty many flowers stuck in the ground and moved around extremely slowly, they had building and space ships aswell, but they hardly used them, they rather sit on their endless plains and talking to each other with psychic energy and eating the sun rays on their tiny little stalks.

  Juliet had visited them many times t
o speak to their child like brains, they were happy as long as they got a bit of psychic energy as trade which she had plenty off, Juliet had discovered their technology of using psychic energy to store energy in their spaceships and managed to secure a trade which was extremely cheap, and she felt she had taken advantage of them, she had returned with his fathers improved psychic machine which she plugged in and the plants were incredibly happy and most of their "leaders" had uprooted themselves and planted themselves next to the machine which was constantly churning out psychic energy feeding them and keeping them happy.

  They would probably be happy if Juliet started to pluck them and eat them in front of them as long as the machine did not get taken away, She had assigned a guardian fleet in the system to stop anyone from bothering the happy plants. She knew there were probably massive benefits to eating the little plants considering how soaked in energy they were, but they were so kind and friendly she would have felt like a barbarian and her mother and father agreed, eating sentiment beings had never been on the table, but a few samples had been taken to be explored, they might be able to recreate a hybrid plant that was not sentient but plants needed to grow and there had been countless failed experiments with plants turning sentient, most of them lived on this planet in happiness like their ancestors plants that were just singing like cartoons. Juliet left promptly when they started their horrible opera about her giving them a magical machine.

  S-4XN-001 were busy with the latest undertaking when he found a caravan of fleeing aliens similar to the one that visited the milky way with the futility problem, His fears were realized when they spoke of a infinite force of aliens attacking their homeworlds, and they had fled countless systems, He got the data immediately, they were the Futility. They were still active across the galaxy, and he immediately told the aliens that he had fought and defeated them before, and he would help them in rebuilding, Seyla immediately set for to negotiate for any data of their old galaxies and the enemy itself.
