Smiling, I looked at this beautiful man before me and knew that this was definitely the start of something amazing.

In the weeks that followed, Jameson was beginning to really grow on me. Whenever Lacy and Drake were together, Jameson and I would just hang out too. I enjoyed his company and knew that I was starting to develop real feelings for him. We spent every waking moment together and had a great time, but we had never had the official ‘talk’ about where we truly stood in a relationship.

One afternoon, while Lacy had to work, I decided to hang out with Jameson and his brothers at the bar. It was a Saturday, and I had spent all my Friday night reading and studying for an upcoming test. I was actually grateful to be out of my apartment, even if it was at a biker bar.

“Stop that,” I laughed as Jameson threw another peanut at me. He was sitting across from me, joking the whole time. He had been snacking on a bowl of peanuts but instead of eating them, he was playfully throwing them at my face as I tried to ignore him. “You are like a child,” I joked.

Dodging, the peanut hit the floor behind him and Jameson jumped up, throwing his fist in the air. “Two points for me,” he said. Thankfully, the other guys were ignoring us. The waitress and bartender were ignoring us, so we knew we could be rowdy.

Leaning over so no other ears could hear, Jameson said, “You didn’t think I was a kid when I was inside you the other night,” he smirked.

I tried to hide the growing redness on my cheeks. Just thinking about Jameson inside of me had me heated up again.

“You two need to get a room,” Lacy remarked as she walked into the bar with Drake.

“Whatever,” I said, sticking my tongue out at Jameson; he unsuccessfully threw another peanut at my head.

“Yeah. Ivy, let’s go in Drake’s room,” he joked, strutting around the side of the table to where I was seated next to Lacy.

Suddenly, everyone grew quiet around us and I couldn’t help but notice the change in the atmosphere. Drake and Jameson tensed next to us and I followed their gaze to the front door.

Standing in the doorway were four guys with black leather vests but with red patches on them. Their menacing stares told me enough to know this wasn’t their typical hangout spot.

“What is going on?” I whispered to Jameson.

“Nothing. Just stay here,” he said, as he got up and quickly ran up to the door. Drake yelled for Jameson to stop and went after him.

Lacy looked worried as she watched the guys rush toward the group. Nothing about this looked good at all.

“I think you guys need to leave,” Drake stated, his body tall and showing he meant business.

The larger man with a shiny bald head just glared at Drake. “Looks like you finally grew a pair of balls. Too bad your daddy isn’t around anymore to see it,” he remarked.

Lacy tensed next to me and I grabbed her hand.

“Who the hell are you talking to?” Jameson jumped in, clearly not going to sit back and let someone talk to his brother like that.

Shoving him aside, the bald man gave a hearty laugh. “You Raven Boys always were a pain in my ass. This bar is on my side of town. I told your dad years ago to sell. Now, I am going to tell you boys, sell this bar or you will pay,” he said, pointing his finger in Jameson’s face.

A few of the guys in the bar, stood and waited for something to happen. I could tell they were ready for a fight if one were to break out.

“Get your finger out of my face, Chuck. I already told you, that war was between you and my dad. It ended when he died,” Jameson stated.

Drake glanced back at Lacy and that was when all hell broke loose.

“Aww, looks like you found yourselves some hot girls. Maybe I will take them as collateral,” Chuck started, licking his lips as he looked between me and Lacy.

I felt my stomach churn and I thought I might vomit. How could this be real life? I felt like I was watching some horror movie.

“That’s not going to happen,” Jameson replied, his body tense and firm. I could only see the back of his head, but I could only imagine the glare he must be giving Chuck.

“We will see about that,” Chuck mocked as he tried to move around Jameson and toward me and Lacy.

“Wrong move,” Jameson yelled, as he arched back and unleashed a devastating blow to Chuck’s jaw.

Chuck staggered backward and fell hard against the front wall. He rubbed his jaw, clearly amused. Without warning, he lunged at Jameson, and both men slammed together in mid-air. They landed on a table behind where we were sitting. The men went crashing to the floor as they continued throwing blows and screaming. The sound was almost like a bolt of thunder, it both frightened me and intrigued me. The rest of the men in the bar threw their beers and other drinks down and jumped into the fight.

“Stop,” I screamed as a glass went crashing to the floor.

Jameson and Chuck were now rolling around, throwing punches as they maneuvered around the small space. Both men had blood dripping from their noses and various cuts on their faces, but I couldn’t tell who was hurt more.

I moved in and kicked at Chuck’s back as he lifted his fist and attempted to punch Jameson in the jaw. Feeling my heel dig into his back, Chuck arched his body and yelled out, “You Bitch,” before lunging at me.

Seeing this, Jameson used the opportunity to grab Chuck around the waist and slam him back to the ground. Now, he had his legs crushing into Chuck’s stomach and his hands were held down.

Watching Jameson fight in my honor was arousing and sexy as hell, but it was also stupid. He could get hurt or worse, hurt someone else.

“Don’t you dare call her that,” Jameson screamed, as his fists began to pound devastating blows into Chuck’s face. I watched in horror as Chuck’s body stopped moving and he lay on the ground as blood splattered everywhere from Jameson’s hits.

“Stop, you are going to kill him. Are you insane?” I screamed out as Lacy ran over and grabbed me.

Drake seeing that Chuck was no longer fighting back, Grabbed Jameson and with help from a few other guys, they lifted him off of Chuck. Finally, the men who came to the bar with Chuck grabbed him and they went running out of the door, dragging Chuck behind them. We heard their bikes roar to life as they drove away. Stunned, I just stood and examined the massacre that had taken place in the bar.

Jameson turned to me, panting with his clothes torn and bloody. “Ivy, I was just trying to defend you. To defend my bar,” he said, his voice breaking.

I was so angered by what had just taken place, I lashed out at him as tears streamed down my face. “You almost killed that guy. You acted like a monster,” I cried as Lacy held me close to her.

As the words slipped past my lips, I watched as they landed their own punch to Jameson. He looked beyond saddened that I had called him a monster. I was so afraid of him in that moment, I didn’t know what else to say. Before I could even speak again, Jameson turned and ran out the door. Leaving me alone.

I couldn’t take my mind off the pained expression Jameson had given me just two days ago. I had hurt him, even though that was the last thing I wanted to do. During my morning class, I barely heard my professor as she lectured on Socialism in our current society. I had only heard from Jameson twice since that day. Both were in text messages, and they were hard to get a good read from. He had asked me how I was and then simply wanted to know what I was doing. The conversations had been short and curt. No friendly joking or harmless flirting involved. Not talking to him had left me in a sort of fog, unsure of what I should or could do about the damage I had caused.

I walked home, feeling helpless and just wanting to curl up in my bed with a bowl of popcorn and watch Netflix. Unfortunately, Lacy was home too, and, of course, she had already made plans for both of us.

“Oh good, you are home,” Lacy welcomed me as I walked through our apartment door. I could smell something burning in the oven, and as Lacy waved smoke
around the kitchen, I knew I must be right.

“What is burning?” I asked, throwing my bag on the couch and walking into the kitchen.

“Nothing major. I just burned some cookies I was making for Drake,” she said, pointing to a plate of crisp and black cookies.

“Okay. Well, I am going to bed,” I said, grabbing a bottle of water out of the fridge and trying to escape before Lacy could interrogate me.

“Hold on,” she snapped, running in front of me and blocking my exit. “Drake and Jameson invited us over tonight. We are both going,” she snapped, emphasizing the we part of the sentence.

“Nope, not tonight,” I argued back. “I don’t feel good and I just want to lay in bed,” I moaned as she took my hand and led me to the living room sofa.

Watching me closely, Lacy didn’t buy my act. She knew something else was going on. “Tell me the truth, Ivy. I am not going to leave you alone until you tell me why you are upset and look so terrible.” Lacy was persistent and I knew she wouldn’t let up.

I glanced at myself in the mirror by our door. Lacy was right. My hair was in a messy bun and my white dress shirt was wrinkled, and sticking out of my khaki pants.

“I just feel really bad about what happened at the bar. I know Jameson was trying to defend me, but he really scared me when he attacked that Chuck guy. “I just feel bad about how I reacted.”

“Well then, you will just have to make it up to him,” Lacy announced as she pulled me off the couch and drug me to my room where she dressed me and then fixed my hair. By the time we got into the car, I felt like I had been sucked into a wind tunnel.

“Just tell him you are sorry,” Lacy hissed as she walked through Drake and Jameson’s front door. Ever since Lacy and Drake had been dating, we had found that their apartment was almost a second home to us. It was strange how comfortable I usually felt walking through their door without even knocking. Tonight, though, I didn’t feel so comfortable.

“I don’t think it will matter,” I whispered back, not wanting the guys to hear me. I could hear their voices coming from the kitchen.

“You really are naive, aren’t you?” Lacy asked, as she arched her eyebrows in a way that meant she thought I was crazy. “Jameson is crazy about you.”

  “Maybe,” I admitted.

Grabbing my hand, Lacy pulled me down the hall and to the kitchen where Jameson was seated at the kitchen table drinking a beer. Drake stood by the counter, sipping a beer as he shook his head at Jameson.

“Hey baby,” Lacy squealed as she rushed into Drake’s arms.

I watched them embrace and I felt happy for my best friend.

Jameson’s eyes met mine and he slowly smiled. He stood up and walked the short distance to where I stood.

“Hey, I hope you aren’t too mad at me,” he began as he placed his hands on my waist, pulling me close to him. “I let my temper get the best of me when Chuck acted like an ass. I didn’t mean to scare you,” Jameson said.

“I am sorry, too,” I wailed, throwing my hands around his neck and hugging him. “You did scare me, but I appreciate you wanting to take up for me. That guy was an ass,” I laughed as I brushed a tear aside.

Laughing, Jameson smiled. “I have been so worried that you wouldn’t talk to me again.”

Tears pricked my eyes. Just moments ago, I had feared that I would never get another chance with Jameson and now I was back in his arms again.

Patting my back, Jameson soothed me, asking me to stop crying. “It's ok now,” he began, cupping my head in his hands and forcing me to look up at him. “I am mad at that asshole. He deserved to get his ass kicked. He has been giving my family hell for years,” Jameson growled as he watched me closely.

  “What’s his deal?” I asked.

“He and my dad both wanted that bar years ago. My dad just worked harder and bought it first. They hated one another and were in rival biker clubs. I guess the hate still lingers even after my dad is gone. He wants Drake to sell the bar to him, but Drake refuses.”

“I hate to interrupt, but we have to leave,” Lacy chimed in as she stood next to Drake, taking sips of his beer.

Checking her watch, Lacy quickly reached for her purse. “Our movie starts in thirty minutes,” she said, pulling Drake. They left and I realized Jameson and I were alone, again.

“I’ve been really missing you,” Jameson said as he wrapped his arms around my waist.

“I’ve missed you too,” I said leaning up and kissing his lips.

“Maybe we can just sit around and watch a movie,” Jameson winked, knowing all too well we wouldn’t just watch a movie.

“You mean biker guys watch movies too,” I joked.

“That’s funny,” Jameson said as he leaned down and began to tickle my sides. “But, I had other plans for us tonight,” he said, his voice growing deep and seductive.

I couldn’t help but let out a small gasp at the thought of what those words entailed.

Jameson stood, offering me his hand. “Ok, no more tickling. The bar is under control tonight, my brothers are down there. I have the night off. Watching a movie sounds nice, but being with you again sounds a lot better,” he finished.

“Maybe we should take it slow this time,” I said, trying to fight my growing urge to jump on him and rip his clothes off.

Laughing, Jameson pulled me closer to him so that my arms were now touching his side.

“You know,” he asked, as he stopped flipping through the channels and landed on an episode of COPS. “You look really cute tonight,” he said, as he noticed my jeans and sweatshirt. “It’s crazy how you can look sexy in anything.”

“Shut up,” I yelled as I punched him in the side. It was crazy how quickly I could make up my mind that Jameson and I were not good for each other, then the next minute he could so easily draw me back to him like nothing had ever happened.

“Oh no, it’s on now,” Jameson laughed as he threw the remote on the ground and climbed on top of me. He pinned my arms down with only one of his arms and began tickling me with the other. I couldn’t stop from laughing. I hated to be tickled, because I was so ticklish. I fought underneath him, begging for him to let me go. He leaned in, our lips only inches apart as he watched my face light up with laughter. I couldn’t remember the last time I had laughed that hard.

Still, in his grasp, Jameson stopped tickling me and tilted his head, a small smile appearing. His eyes bore into mine, searching for something we both knew was there.

“You are beautiful when you laugh,” he said, his voice serious.

I squirmed under him, and he let me go, but he still was lying on top of me.

Our lips, now inches apart, quivered as he inched closer to me. He tipped my chin up, so that I was forced to look up at him.

“I did promise you something the other night,” he stated, reminding me of how he had left me waiting to be tasted. His hands trailed over my thighs as he talked.

The move alone was so sensual and devastatingly wicked. I couldn’t help but give in to his wants. My body began to tremble and my pulse quickened as what we were about to do raced through my mind. His lips softly brushed against mine, taking my breath away in an instant. He began by slowly nibbling on my lower lip, a move that had caused me to groan with pleasure and die of embarrassment all at the same time. I had expected the kiss to be quick and rough, leading to something more. Now, as his lips were sweetly on mine, those thoughts were erased from my mind. All I could think about was how delicious he tasted, almost like vanilla and spices. The kiss began slow, almost soothing before turning fast and intense. He parted my lips with his tongue and as he invaded my mouth, our tongues became entwined and danced together in a sensual rhythm. My knees began to buckle underneath me, and I was silently thankful that I was sitting down. My heart was racing so fast now, I was sure he could hear the fast-paced rhythm beating against my now quivering chest. I began to run my hands through his mass of wild hair as the need to touch him took control. His hands moved down my
waist and traveled to various regions of my body. I was becoming an exploration to him as he carefully caressed every inch of my throbbing body. The heat between us could have sparked a wildfire as our hands and bodies seemed to move together as though we were in tune with one another.

Suddenly, the kiss ended as he separated our lips and sat back against the couch. Panting and trying to catch my breath, I opened my eyes, which I hadn’t until that moment, realized had been closed. Sighing, I sat still, almost afraid to move and ruin whatever this moment was. Jameson just scanned my face, watching my expression closely as he smiled a delicious smile.

In one quick movement, he removed my jeans and panties and had spread my legs wide apart. He slid me down so that I was exposed to him.

Smiling one last time, Jameson ducked his head below my stomach and I felt his hot breath against my core. His fingers traced the inside of my thighs as I arched my back, providing him the access he wanted. Finally, his tongue licked up my core and I screamed out with pleasure. I clutched onto the couch cushions to keep my body from leaping upward. His tongue caressed my wetness, dipping in and out of me, left and right, up and down in a rhythm that pushed me over the edge in mere minutes. Before I could control myself, I was screaming his name as my fingers dug deep into his shoulders, almost pressing him further inside of me. After I completed my climax, I lay back, panting as I struggled for air.

Jameson climbed on top of me and smiled as he took in his work. He carefully leaned in and softly kissed me, allowing me to taste myself on him. In any other situation, I would have been horrified, but with Jameson, the act was erotic beyond belief.

Even though I had already climaxed, I wasn’t finished with him yet.

Eyeing him carefully, I placed my hands on his chest and forced him to lie back. With an amused grin, Jameson allowed me to take control and lead him to the cushions.
