“Good morning,” she said softly, stretching languidly, causing her tits to thrust up against the sheets.

My already hard cock jumped against my stomach.

“Morning,” I replied, then dipped down to kiss the mark I’d left on her shoulder. “How’d you sleep?”

  “Soooo good,” she practically purred.

That sound coming from her lips had me moving over her and urging her legs to open for me.

I nuzzled her neck with my nose as I slid inside her wet heat.

  Tori purred again.

I braced myself on my forearms and moved slowly, purposefully… her legs came around me and she tilted her hips up. When the tip of my cock hit her G-spot, her head fell back and to the side as she moaned.

I thrust in and out, keeping my body tight as I concentrated on that spot.

“Kai,” Tori breathed, then a little squeak passed her lips and her body went taut, before she let loose and came with a throaty cry.

As her pussy clenched my dick, I moved faster, the feel of her pulsating around me triggering my own orgasm.

I shouted her name and thrust deep, spilling my seed inside of her before collapsing next to her with a groan of satisfaction.

We laid there in silence for a few moments, as we struggled to regain our breath, then Victoria turned to me, eyes wide.

“Oh, no, I totally forgot about Mal last night,” she said, her tone full of dismay. “He said we’d see him at dinner, but I fell asleep so early…”

“It’s okay,” I assured her, brushing her damp hair off of her forehead. “I went down while you were sleeping and talked to him. He knows you were exhausted, and said he’d see you later today.”

“Oh,” she replied, but she looked disappointed.

  “What is it?” I asked.

“Oh, it’s no big deal, Mal just said he’d take me shopping for a dress… for the ceremony tomorrow.”

“He’s busy trying to get everything ready for the ceremony, so I told him I’d take you.”

“Really?” Tori asked, turning onto her side and grinning at me. “You’re going to take me shopping?”

  I shrugged.

  “Yeah, why not?”

“You just don’t seem the type, that’s all,” she said, then leaned over and brushed her lips across my chest.

I ran my hand down her hair.

“I think you’ll come to learn, that I’ll do anything and everything… for my mate,” I assured her softly, then captured her smiling mouth with mine.

  Tori

  I was crazy happy.

  Delirious even.

I was falling in love with not just one amazing man, but two… I was going to mate with them and live out the rest of my life in an amazing cabin on a lake, have children, and the rest… well, the possibilities were endless.

I could work, I could take classes, I could stay home and take care of the house and future babies.

I never thought I’d have choices. That I’d meet men who were actually worth spending my life with. I felt like the luckiest girl in the world, and it was all due to my asshole ex ruining my life and a freakin’ phone app.

  Who would have thought?

As I perused the clothing racks of the boutique dress shop in town, I smiled to myself and vowed to leave a great review for the mating app.

I pulled a couple of dresses off the racks and took them back to the dressing room.

Kai had brought me into town, but had begged off of the actual shopping to go grab coffee. I didn’t mind, since I kind of wanted to keep whatever dress I decided on a surprise. No, we weren’t having a traditional wedding, but I found myself still leaning toward a few traditions.

I wasn’t going for a big, over the top, poofy dress, but I was trying to keep it white, or ivory, and I wanted something that made me feel special.

It was going to be a special day after all.

I tried on the first one. It was long, with a cinched waist and capped sleeves. I shook my head and pulled it off as quickly as possible.

The second one hit just past the knees, was more cream than white, and had cut outs at the waist. It was another nope.

The third one was mid-length, kind of silky and flowy, with spaghetti straps and a heart shaped bodice that showed off a bit of cleavage.

I sucked in my breath at the sight of it and turned around so I could see the back.

  My butt looked fabulous.

  Winner, winner!

I grinned and spun around again, playing with my hair to see how I’d want to wear it the next day. Up in a messy bun? Pulled back and sleek? Or full and flowing around my shoulders? Hmmm, they all looked good.

  The dress was magic.

I took it off, careful not to do any damage, and placed it back on the hanger, then cradled it lovingly in my arms and took it out to the front counter.

“Have you decided?” The lady behind the counter asked.

“Yes, this one, thank you,” I said, laying the dress down gently.

A hand on my arm had me turning, expecting to find Kai behind me, but it wasn’t him.

“Kale,” I exclaimed, utterly shocked. “What are you doing here?”

Rather than reply, he just started dragging me through the store to the door.

“Stop,” I cried, trying to dig in my heels.

“Shut the fuck up,” Kale seethed, his hand tightening enough to hurt, “and come on.”

“What do you mean, come on? What the hell is happening?”

The door jingled as he pushed it open.

I pulled my arm, trying to get it out of his grasp, and he stopped suddenly, causing me to run into his chest.

Kale looked down at me, eyes blazing, and said softly, “Get in my fucking car, now, or I’ll blow a hole in your stomach.”

I felt something nudge my stomach and looked down to see the gun in his hand.

I let him drag me without resistance, my body numb from the sight of that gun. He pulled open the passenger door of the nearest car and shoved me inside.

I was about to open the door and jump back out, when he slid in next to me and placed the gun on the seat, pointing at me.

“Don’t even think about it,” Kale ordered. “Just act normal and keep those pretty lips shut.”

He pulled away from the curb and as we passed the coffee shop I looked toward it, praying I’d see Kai standing outside.

  I didn’t.

“Where are you taking me?” I asked, keeping my voice low so as not to piss him off.

“I got a motel outside of town,” Kale said. “I’ll take you there, then contact your billionaire boyfriend about the ransom.”

“Ransom?” I asked, turning fully in my seat to look at him incredulously. “You’re kidnapping me?”

“Found out about this nice set up you’ve got going on here, and knew it was time for a little reunion,” Kale said, shooting me a nasty grin. “Didn’t know you had it in you… little Victoria, gets conned and lands on her feet.”

“How could you do that?” I asked, since he’d brought it up. “I trusted you and you took everything from me.”

Kale shrugged, and I realized he wasn’t nearly as handsome to me as he used to be.

I guess being a total prick trumped good looks.

“You were an easy mark. Eager to be on your own, parents who don’t give a fuck… too easy,” he replied, and I really wanted to grab his gun and shoot him in the dick.

  “Asshole,” I muttered, facing forward.

“I’m about to be a really rich asshole,” he said with a chuckle. “I saw how much that guy was fawning all over you…. So I know you’ve given him a taste. One thing I can say about you, the pussy was good… I bet I’ll have the money before nightfall.”

  “You’re disgusting,” I replied.

I couldn’t help but wonder what Kai would think when he went back to the dress shop and found me gone. Would he assume his original worries had been correct, and that I’d took off? Or would he know som
ething bad had happened?

  Mal

“I can’t believe you guys are actually going through with this,” Bane said as he walked into my office.

“You got my email then?” I asked.

I’d shot off an email to our friends and the staff to let them know about our ceremony and to invite them to the reception we’d be having at the cabin afterwards.

  “Sure did.”

“You and Sloane are invited to the ceremony as well, if you’d like, or you can just come to the party after. That is… if you’re planning to come at all, I’d understand if you couldn’t,” I assured him.

I knew he still had a hard time dealing with his mate’s death and might not be interested in seeing Kai and I celebrate finding ours.

“Yes, of course we’ll come,” Bane said, taking the seat across from my desk. “I’m just surprised, that’s all.”

“Victoria’s the one,” I said with a grin.

“Isn’t it all kind of… fast?” he asked, his concern evident.

“I know it seems that way, but, when it’s right, you know.”

He nodded, because he did know.

“And you met her on that app?” Bane asked again, even though we’d already discussed it.

  “Yup.”

“Unbelievable,” he said, shaking his head.

I just grinned. I understood why he’d think that, but Kai, Tori and I were proof that the app worked.

“Do you need any help with anything?” Bane asked finally, proving what a true friend he was.

“Nope, I think I’ve got it all covered. Catering, drinks, DJ, and of course the officiant for the ceremony. It’s all lined up.”

Bane was silent for a moment, then said, “Flowers.”

  “Huh?”

“Did you get flowers? I remember Sarah being very particular about flowers. The ones she carried for the ceremony, and the flowers at the reception.”

“No, I didn’t think of flowers, thanks,” I said as I jotted down a note.

I’d call about flowers as soon as he left.

“Anything else I’ve forgotten?” I asked.

Before he could reply either way, my phone rang.

“Excuse me,” I told Bane when I saw it was Kai calling. “Hello?”

  “She’s gone.”

“What?” I asked, unsure of what he was talking about.

“We came to town to get the dress. I went for coffee, came back, and she’s gone.”

  “Victoria?”

“Yes, Victoria, who the fuck else would I be talking about?”

  “Where are you now?”

“Outside that dress store in town,” Kai replied.

“Stay there, I’m on my way,” I said, hanging up as I stood.

“What is it?” Bane asked, getting to his feet as well.

“Kai said Victoria’s missing. They were downtown dress shopping for tomorrow. I’m heading over there.”

“I’ll come with you,” Bane said, following me out the door. “Maybe I can track her.”

I didn’t argue. I didn’t know what was going on and would take all the help we could get.

We rode out together, pulling in front of the boutique in record time to find Kai pacing out front.

“Did the people in the shop see anything?” I asked as I jumped out and rounded the car.

Kai shook his head and kept pacing.

“I couldn’t talk… have to calm down,” he said haltingly, and I knew he was struggling not to shift.

Most of the time we shifted when we chose too, but if our emotions were too high, we could shift without intending too. The bear didn’t take over often, probably one two or three times in our lives so far, but it did happen.

“Okay, just try to calm down. I’ll go inside and see if I can find out anything,” I assured him, then Bane and I went inside.

“Excuse me,” I called out to the woman behind the counter as I approached. “Did you see a pretty girl with sandy hair and blue eyes earlier? She was in here looking for a dress…”

The woman held up a silky white fabric and nodded.

“Yes, she was about to purchase this dress when her gentleman friend came in and got her,” she replied and my blood ran cold.

“Gentleman friend?” I asked, then pointed out the window. “Not that man there?”

She looked behind me and Kai, then shook her head.

“No, he was similar in looks, but not that tall, or… big,” she said, and I ignored the appreciative gleam in her eyes.

“And you’re saying she went with him… willingly?” I asked, and I could see Bane walking toward the backroom. Probably trying to pick up Tori’s scent.

“Well, she did seem surprised to see him, and I might have heard her tell him to stop, but it’s not my place to get involved,” the lady replied, her cheeks reddening.

“You mean a woman was forcefully taken from your store and you didn’t call the cops?” I asked, trying to keep my anger in check.

“She was only gone for a few minutes before your friend there came in here and started shouting all over the place. I’m not about to get involved in domestic disputes… this place doesn’t pay enough for this crap.”

Bane came back out and picked up the dress, bringing it to his nose.

“Can you tell me anything else? A name, any tattoos, or distinguishing features on the guy?”

“He was a good looking man, to be sure, but I can’t think of anything that stood out.”

Frustrated, I took the dress back from Bane and handing it to her.

  “She wanted this one?”

  The clerk nodded.

“Ring it up so we can get out of here,” I told her, then turned to Bane, “Anything?”

  He gave a sharp nod.

“Her scent is strong, and I got another one… lighter, but male. I think I can track it.”

Once the dress was paid for and we were walking out, the clerk called out.

“Sir, there was one strange thing… she called him something strange, maybe a nickname… Lettuce, or spinach, something like that.”

I opened the door and joined Kai.

  “Anything?” he asked, desperately.

“Bane’s got their scents, but the woman wasn’t much help. Saw some good-looking guy take Tori forcefully out of the shop… and, didn’t do a damn thing about it.”

The last bit I shouted, so I breathed deep to get myself in check.

“That’s it?” he asked, scowling at the store.

“Something about Tori calling the guy lettuce, or spinach…”

“Kale,” Kai said, stopping his pacing and bringing his dark eyes to mine.

  “Huh?” I asked, not following.

“That’s the name of her ex, the one who conned her,” he explained. “The fucker took her.”

  Tori

I looked around the motel room and grimaced.

“Why are you staying here?” I asked Kale. “I know you can afford better.”

Kale shrugged and replied, “I made a couple of bad investments.”

“Seriously? You lost it all… that quickly?’

“Good thing I found you, isn’t it? You’re boyfriend has all the money I could ever need.”

  I glared at him.

“I need to use the bathroom.”

Kale pointed the gun toward the door on the opposite side of the room.

I went into the bathroom and shut the door, then looked around for a way out, or a weapon, or something. But, there was no window, no shower curtain, and nothing that I could use to hurt Kale… unless I bludgeoned him with the toilet paper roll, but I didn’t think that would help much.

I sighed, then actually did use the restroom, before washing my hands and then leaning against the counter.

Kale had taken my phone once we’d arrived at the motel, and I hadn’t gotten the opportunity to use it in the car, so I had no way to reach out to Kai or Mal. I bit my lip as I worried about what they were thinking.

&nbs
p; Did the lady at the boutique call the cops? Did she even see Kale well enough to give a description? Or, were Kai and Mal going to assume that I was in cahoots with Kale this whole time to take their money?

I shook my head, refusing to think they would believe such a thing.

I hadn’t even known who they were, let alone that they owned a company and were well-off.

Pounding on the door had me jumping, then yelling, “Give me a minute.”

“Hurry up,” Kale shouted back through the door. “It doesn’t take that long to take a piss… don’t be getting any ideas.”

I growled under my breath, then turned to open the door.

Brushing past Kale, I stalked past him. I glanced at the bed, then decided it would be safer to sit in the chair and crossed the room to sit down with a huff.

“Everything come out all right?” he asked with a smirk as he laid on the bed and propped himself up against the headboard.

  “You’re disgusting,” I replied.

Kale kept on smirking and said, “You didn’t used to think so. In fact, I remember the way you used to scream my name as you bounced on my dick.”

“Fuck off,” I said, a low growl emitting from my throat. “I hate you.”

Kale shrugged, then pulled my phone out of his pocket.

“I think it’s time we call the boyfriend.

He held it out to me, swinging the phone back and forth until I grabbed it.

“I’m gonna write down what I want you to say, and you’re going to say that, and only that, then hang up. If you don’t… if you try to say something else, or tell him something I’m not ready for him to know, I’ll shoot you in the foot.”

I blinked at him, surprised, but the hard flint in his eyes told me he was serious.

I nodded, then waited as he wrote out my speech.

I read it, glared at him again, then dialed Mal. I figured he’d be the more level-headed of the two.

“Tori, thank God, are you okay?” Mal’s voice was full of worry when he answered the phone.

“You need to bring five hundred thousand dollars to the barn on old mill road tomorrow at nine am. If you don’t, or you call the cops, or try anything funny, they’re going to shoot me. First in each foot, then each hand, before lodging a bullet in my stomach and letting me bleed out.”
