“I think you’re ready,” Dallas said breathlessly.
“Not yet.”
Dallas bit his lower lip. “Can I fuck you, please?”
“Yes,” Simon replied. “Are you ready?”
Dallas tore the condom open with his teeth and hurriedly put it on himself as Simon hovered above him, teasing him, saying nothing. He lowered himself down as Dallas held his cock in place, entering him, the way that he felt inside almost too much to bear. Dallas bit down on Simon’s shoulder and Simon groaned and moaned as he moved his hips writhed and he pounded himself with Dallas’ cock, faster and faster, until he threw his head back and looked at Dallas’ face. “Are you going to come for me?”
“Yes,” Dallas replied in between sharp breaths. “Yes, yes.”
Simon threw his head back once more as he sped up. Dallas’ orgasm built inside of him, going to the tip of his fingers, to his toes, to the top of his head, until all that he could feel was pleasure, he couldn’t even hear anything the feeling was so intense. His eyes were tightly shut as he emptied the contents of his balls into Simon’s asshole, his hands still gripping the sheets tightly, completely aware that he hadn’t touched Simon at all outside of fingering him during this entire exchange and not aware of much else.
Once he was done, Simon stood up in front of him, almost instantly, and Dallas licked him clean, the taste earthy and sweet and salty and sticky all at the same time. He licked him for what he thought must have been a very long time, but he wasn’t sure. He could feel his cock throbbing again, sticky threads of come on the head of his cock, on his legs, on the satin-soft sheets under them.
Once he was done, Simon turned around once again. His cock was still hard, now wet and covered in precum. Simon didn’t have to say anything. Dallas opened his mouth to let him in and Simon threaded his fingers through his hair and moved his head back and forth until Dallas was gasping for breath, until he was holding on to Simon’s legs and making half-moon marks on his skin with his fingertips, until he could taste the come in the back of his throat and coating his tongue.
Simon groaned, pulled his hair back and his head along with it, and leaned down to kiss him sloppily on the mouth. Dallas thought that he might come again right then and there but Simon moved away from him, licked his lips and smiled. “Can we pick this up in a bit? There’s still something I need to talk to you about.”
Dallas nodded. He threw himself back on the bed, feeling the soft warm sheets under him. Simon hadn’t hurt him but Dallas felt like his skin was raw, like he was all raw.
“Yeah,” Dallas said. “Can I ask you something too, please?”
“Sure, darling.”
“When do I get to touch you?”
“Soon,” Simon said. “I promise.”
Dallas sighed. “What is it that you need to talk to me about?”
“We’ll talk about it later,” Simon said. “After a little while. I don’t want to talk to you about it when you’re so vulnerable.”
Dallas wanted to protest, but when he looked at Simon, he saw the smile on his face and he couldn’t help but smile back.
***
Dallas woke up again in the middle of the night. He was holding Simon, who had rolled over in his sleep. Dallas had fallen asleep amid murmurs that he was beautiful, that Simon couldn’t wait to spend the night with him, that he was so grateful that he was there. Simon had kissed his cheek and his collarbone and his throat and every part of him that he had bitten and stroked his side until Dallas’ breathing deepened and he was drifting off to sleep.
It had been perfect, but now he was sweaty and sticky and he wanted to have a shower. He tried to take his arm from under Simon without waking him, but Simon stirred and rolled over.
Dallas smiled at him. “Hey.”
“Hey,” Simon said.
“I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to wake you up.”
“It’s okay.”
“I think I’m going to go take a shower. I won’t wake anyone up, right?”
Simon raised his eyebrows and smirked.
“Right, ridiculous question,” Dallas said. “Everyone probably sleeps in different wings or something.”
“Dallas…”
“What?”
“I love you too.”
Dallas closed his eyes, instantly feeling like he was less tense. He breathed out a sigh of relief he hadn’t realized he was holding and Simon kissed him on the lips softly.
“Listen,” he said. “I was talking to my dad about getting an HQ for my charity in San Leandre.”
“What does your charity do?”
“I have a bunch, but the one I really care about provides medication for children with rare diseases in particular. They tend to be expensive medications, usually, and even governments have a hard time getting access to them at reasonable prices.”
Dallas smiled. “And you say I’m a good person.”
“I also have a charity in which people knit hats for bunnies, so don’t get too excited.”
“Is that true?”
“Yes,” Simon said, smiling. “It’s really a way to get people to adopt and finance rehabilitating rabbits. We send them a little knitting kit, they send us back a few dollars, we send them a bunny photoshoot. Win-win.”
Dallas laughed. “Damn. You’re full of surprises.”
“I am,” Simon said, his expression schooling. “I don’t know how you’re going to feel about this one.”
“Oh?”
“I want something serious, Dallas. It doesn’t have to happen straightaway.”
“What doesn’t have to happen straightaway?”
“I want to move to San Leandre,” Simon said. “Get an apartment near the beach, so that it’s in walking distance to the inn. I want to hook you up with a financial adviser so that you can expand on your restaurant plans or found more inns.”
“I don’t have any money.”
“You’re sitting on millions with your property,” Simon replied. “You have money, you just don’t know how to take advantage of it.”
“Okay…”
“But mostly, I want to marry you, okay? And I know, I know it’s so crazy, I know it’s so fast. But I don’t care about any of this. You’re my home, Dallas, and letting you go would be crazy.”
“I can’t ask you give up your rule for me,” Dallas said, his throat dry.
“What rule? I have three older brothers and an older brother with a boy on the way. Every time my brothers have a boy, I get farther and farther away from being next in line to the throne. There are some advantages to being the spare.”
“And that’s what you want?”
“Yes,” Simon said. “It wouldn’t be easy. We’d have to take it slow at first and people would know who you are. You’d become a celebrity overnight and that might be too much to handle.”
“No.”
“No what?”
“It won’t be,” Dallas said. “I won’t push you away because of it. I’ve learned my lesson.”
“Okay,” Simon replied. “But if you want, we can go to counseling. Not because we need it, just to guide us through the transition.”
“We aren’t even married and you’re already asking me to go to counseling with you.”
“I know. Isn’t it romantic?”
“Yeah,” Dallas replied. “Weirdly enough, it’s super romantic.”
“We’d have to come back here for official royal functions, but we’d live mostly in San Leandre.”
“Official royal functions?”
“Weddings, baptisms, funerals, jubilees. You know, the standard stuff.”
Dallas smiled. “Sure. The standard stuff. And the assassination thing?”
“We’d have security with us all the time.”
“So the plot to kill you at the inn was…”
“Not worth anyone’s time,” Simon replied. “Someone must have known that I was alone, hence they called in the threat.”
“Bastards.”
“Your l
ife would change, Dallas,” Simon said. “Not just because I would be around, but it’d change a lot about your life.”
“I… think I can do it. What about a wedding?”
“It can be something intimate,” Simon replied. “My friend Tarquin already had the first big gay royal wedding. I texted him about stealing the spotlight, but I hadn’t asked you yet.”
“Your friend Tarquin?” Dallas said, blinking. He’d heard of a gay royal wedding, but he was so lost in his own weird royal story, he hadn’t paid much attention to it.
“You know, the prince of Miroede.”
“Your friend Tarquin. The prince of Miroede,” Dallas repeated with a smile. “Of course. Where do you know him from?”
“School.”
“Did you guys date?”
“Nah,” Simon replied. “We don’t really get along like that. We slept together once, because it seemed like the thing to do, but it was weird. We never did it again.”
“I’m… reassured, I think.”
“Good. I don’t care about the prince of Miroede, I don’t care about the prince of anywhere, Dallas. I want you. I want you as my husband.”
“Really?”
“Yes,” Simon said. “But you should have time to think about it. This feels like a lot of pressure to put on you and I don’t want to do that.”
“Simon.”
“What?”
“If I say yes, do I get to touch you whenever I want?”
Simon smiled. “Maybe if you say please.”
“Can we make it a long engagement?”
“Yes,” Simon replied. “We can make it ten years if you want, I just need to make sure that you’re here for the long term. I don’t think I can take you being around if I don’t know that you’re going to be with me for the rest of my life. But again, think about it. Okay?”
“Okay.”
Simon kissed the tip of Dallas’ nose and smiled at him again. “Good night. I love you.”
“I love you.”
Simon rolled over and Dallas wrapped his arm around his waist, holding him close, feeling the warmth of Simon’s skin on him. His eyes were open as he thought about this, about what it meant, but it only took him a few minutes to come to a conclusion, one far more obvious than he had expected.
He could tell that Simon had fallen asleep from his breathing but he kissed his neck, which made Simon stir under him.
“Simon.”
“Yes?”
“Are you awake?”
“I am now.”
“I love you.”
“I know.”
“You’re my home too.”
Simon purred under his touch.
“Yes.”
“Yes?”
“Yes. I’ll marry you.”
Simon rolled over and smiled at him.
