“Have you done this?” she asks me.

“With you? No. With other women? Yes. Everyone involved are adults, babe,” I tell her, moving closer. I see Risky walk over to us. She takes the phone off Jodie and hands it back to me.

“I hated it too when I first found out about it. But I was told by a very wise old woman that we can’t control what others do, and we can’t judge them for doing it. Everyone involved knows what’s happening and some even enjoy it. Magnum stopped posting in there, and I bet that Opal will too.” She cuts her gaze to me and I smile, nodding.

Rookie steps over to us and pulls Jodie in for a hug, kissing the side of her head. I laugh when I see the disgust on her face. She pushes him away and pretends to shudder.

“Ewww, you smell like cheap sex, Rook.” Everyone in the room laughs and he goes for her again, but she hides behind me. “Back off, Irish, or I’ll set my man on you.”

“Oh, sweetheart, I could take him.” He winks at her before turning and leaving the main room, heading back to his.

The laughter continues as Jodie’s mouth opens and closes a few times before she shakes her head.

“Fucking children, I swear,” she mutters before walking back to my room. I wink at Risky and follow my woman.

“Tucker, I swear to God, if you steal one of those bites one more time, you are going to be on trash duty for the rest of the day, butthead,” Kara calls after my son as he runs into the kitchen and steals a handful of steak bites, then runs back out.

Kara, me and Dezi have been making desserts for today’s club party. The boys—well, Slade and his man, Jase—have been manning the BBQ, while Rookie made a large batch of Guinness stew, which smells amazing. I can’t wait to try some. Magnum and Sarge wanted the typical all-American BBQ but Rookie, Edge and us girls teamed up against them and demanded party foods, not just BBQ. Hence the bite-sized desserts we are making. Oh, and the amazing looking trifle that Dezi made.

I know I’m going to put so much weight on around this club if the parties keep going like this. We can hear the kids laughing and running around the place, families talking and making jokes. Today is a good day.

Dezi is the only Reg here today. Well, she isn’t much of a Reg anymore since she went on a few dates with River, but that’s their story to tell.

Picking up the large tray of mini dogs for the kids to munch on, I smile when I see Tucker is in the play area with Lash and Sweets’ children, as well Nadia’s niece. I was told Nadia is one of the newer Regs.

“Okay, are you bitches ready to take this lot out to the beasts and the mini beasts?” Kara asks, loading her arms up with trays.

“Yeah, let’s do this. I need a drink. Opal has been on my ass about not overdoing things. I mean, the man needs to lighten up. The shit with Roy happened two weeks ago.”

“They’re still stressing over being unable to find the fucker. Magnum said they found a lead, but it went cold,” Kara explains as she walks out of the room. Dezi and me follow.

“I know—Opal said. I just want all of this over with. It’s getting tiring stressing over Tucker being at risk. I know that Abe and Ferris wouldn’t let anything happen to him, but I want it done now,” I tell them.

“It will be soon,” Dezi adds.

We all walk outside and set the trays down on a six-foot long table that has been set up for the food. I look around the yard and see everyone is enjoying the day. The sun is high and hot, and kids’ laughter fills the air, along with gruff laughter and some feminine giggles. Ida is standing next to her men, laughing and joking.

I see Jase pull her in for a deep kiss, and I don’t miss the way Slade watches them, especially when he reaches down and cups Ida’s butt before she turns in Jase’s arms and kisses him.

Damn that’s hot. I’ve never had a threesome before. What we did in the room with Magnum and Kara was hot as hell, but I don’t think I would want to do it with someone I know. I could never look them in the eye again after having sex with them.

“You like that, baby?” Opal whispers into my ear, and I jump a mile off the ground. I spin around with my hand on my chest, trying to calm my racing heart.

“What are you, a freaking ninja now?” I ask, slapping his hard chest. He just laughs at me. Bastard.

“Sorry, babe. But you were completely lost in the thought of two men fucking you, weren’t you?” With his bulging arms wrapped around my waist, holding me tight to him, I feel safe and wanted.

“Maybe,” I say coyly, and he chuckles.

“No maybe, babe. I bet if I slipped my hand into your panties they would be soaked from watching my brother with his man and woman, but also the thought of me and another man taking you,” he says, his voice gravelly again. His sex voice.

We lock gazes and I can feel his stare taking hold of me, body, mind and soul. This is what Stefan Bryant does to me. He can make me lose myself in him and never want to let go.

“Why don’t you find out?” I reply, hoping he will take me back to his room and make me scream his name. I slide my hand down his chest and over his stomach, then his belt, until I find what I desperately want.

“I want this.” I cup him through his jeans, and he hisses before slamming his mouth onto mine. We kiss like there is no tomorrow. Every day between us is cherished.

“Later,” he mutters against my lips. He wraps an arm around my shoulders, walking me over to where Kara is now sitting on Magnum’s lap. Edge has his nephew, Hendrix, on his lap, who is chowing down on a carrot stick.

“How did Tucker’s game go last night?” Sarge asks me from his seat.

“They won. He got a few points on the board, so he was super happy,” I reply, leaning back against Opal’s chest.

Suki strolls over, zipping between the legs of the chairs before she settles on Rookie’s lap. I see Sarge flinch. He catches my gaze, and I wink at him. He pokes his tongue out at me. Yep, you saw that right; he poked his tongue out at me. A big strapping biker acted like a toddler after I caught him flinching away from a cat.

My phone dings and I reach for it, smiling wide. During one of our talks, Opal told me that he had hired Estelle to help find property for Kara’s pet foster academy, plus some property for the club’s new business ventures. I was totally surprised when we worked out that his estate agent was my best friend. We laughed about it and he told me about the properties.

“She’s here.” I jump off his lap and go to walk away.

“Who’s here? Fresh meat?” Slide asks, looking a tad overexcited. I slap the back of his head on my way past.

“Reel it in. She’s my longtime friend and I won’t have you and your sticky fingers touching her,” I tell him. He smirks at me before sticking his fingers in his mouth, pretending to lick them clean.

“There. No trace of used pussy anywhere, Mom,” he jokes.

“Eww, Slide. Just eww.” I walk away and meet Estelle.

“Wait up, babe,” Opal says, catching up with me, a sweet smile on his face.

“Have I ever told you how sexy you are when you slap my brothers around?” He wraps an arm around my waist, kissing my neck and making me giggle.

“Nope, but remind me to do it more often,” I joke.

Estelle’s car comes to a stop and she slowly climbs out. Opal holds her hand to steady her. She looks absolutely stunning in her white lace V-neck dress that sets off her little bump and cute gold sandals. Her long dark hair is down over her shoulders in natural waves, glowing in the day’s sun.

“Oh my God, look at you. You are truly glowing,” I tell her. We hug and she moves over to hug Opal.

“Beautiful, sweetheart. How are you feeling?” he asks once he’s stepped back. “How’s the property search going?”

Estelle leans into her car and pulls out a manilla file before handing it to him, smiling. She looks so proud of herself.

“So, I found the perfect property for the animal academy. There’s also a few options for
the business that you’d like to start,” she explains, and we start walking back to where everyone is seated.

I watch as Opal flicks through the pieces of paper in the file. With every photo he sees, he looks at Estelle and his smile grows bigger, brighter. I can see that he’s very happy with her finds.

“Damn, woman, these properties are perfect. I’ll put them to the club. Thanks, Estelle, now let’s go and feed you ladies and bub,” Opal says.

We step over to the food and Estelle piles her plate high. I snigger at her.

“Don’t judge. This baby is making me eat for a whole army.” She giggles, then stuffs a coconut bite in her mouth. We turn to step way and Estelle freezes. The color drains from her face as she drops the plate in her hands.

“Clint,” she whispers. I frown at her and then turn to look at who she’s talking about.

We stand in complete silence. You can cut the tension with a knife.

Sarge stands next to Rookie, and I have no clue which one she is talking about. Estelle told me that she lost the love of her life when he went into the Army, but I just always assumed that he had been killed over there.

“Telle, what the fuck are you doing here?” Sarge speaks, and I gasp.

Oh my fucking God, Sarge was her ‘one’.

“Holy shit,” I mutter. Everyone is looking between the pair, not having a clue what the hell is happening.

“I’m friends with Jodie, and I’ve been hired by Opal to look for properties for the club. I thought you were dead,” she whispers.

“If you say so. As you can see, I’m alive and fucking kicking,” Sarge snarls. His gaze drops to her stomach and he growls, yes growls, in disgust at her. He goes to speak, but that’s my limit of shit thrown at my friend.

“I suggest you back the hell up and swallow whatever you were about to say,” I snap at him. He looks at me, then back to Estelle.

“What the fuck ever,” he spits and storms toward the house, but the screeching of car tires has everyone looking toward the noise.

A white van pulls into the compound parking section, stopping by the play area. The kids scream and everyone goes running in their direction, including me. My heart is racing with fear for my son and the club’s children.

The men in the club have their guns drawn as they move closer. I feel an arm go around my waist and I turn my head and see Ferris holding me with a stern look on his face. His nostrils are flaring and his lips are pushed together.

“I can’t let you get any closer, DD, sorry. Opal would reem me a new asshole if I let you get hurt.” I struggle against his hold but it’s no use. The damn man has a tight grip on me.

“My son is over there, Ferris. I need to get to him,” I cry out, still struggling.

“He’s right, honey. Stop fighting,” Estelle whispers and my body deflates in Ferris’s hold, but he holds me upright.

Men yelling gets my attention and I look up to see the young girl we have been babysitting on the floor, bleeding from the head, but she’s alive because her moans can be heard.

“Nooooo,” I scream when I see Roy come around the van with Tucker in front him and a gun pointed at his head. Tucker looks scared out of his mind, but he focuses on Opal when he calls his name.

“Tucker, look at me, bud, okay. Good boy. Creep, you don’t want to do this. Let the boy go,” Opal speaks calmly.

“Not going to happen. I want my boy, and me and him are going to leave, so you fuckers need to back off and let us go. You can keep the bitch; I just want the boy,” Roy screams. Tucker flinches but stands strong.

“Not going to happen, dude. Let the boy go and you can flounce off and do whatever the hell you want with whomever you want. But that boy is a Rugged Skull now,” Slide adds, and I see Roy’s anger spike.

He points the gun at Opal, and I scream his name. He doesn’t look at me, but Roy does. He sneers in my direction before he speaks.

“How are you feeling, bitch? Have my marks on you healed yet or does this cunt look at them and see my face whenever he touches your pussy?”

My stomach rolls but I swallow the bile down. I hate that he’s saying this in front of everyone, especially in front of Tucker.

“Hey, Creep. Look at me, not my woman. You got no interest in her anymore. Nor the boy. Let him go,” Opal speaks, and his deadly tone sends a shiver down my spine.

  “Fuck off,” Roy bellows.

“Enough!” Magnum screams. “Once chance here, Creep. Let the boy go, or—”

Magnum doesn’t finish his sentence, not as Tucker brings his fist forward and slams his elbow into Roy’s balls, making him fall to the floor and release my boy.

“Tucker!” I scream, and he runs toward me, past Opal, who turns to make sure that he’s in my arms. I give him a nod, and he turns back to the group. I see Sarge and Rookie have Roy on the floor, pinning him down.

I turn so Tucker can’t see anything and lead him back into the clubhouse. Estelle is hot on my heels, and I can hear Sweets and Kara herding the rest of the children inside with us.

I pledged to never harm a human being unless they were an initial threat to myself or my country, but when it comes to Roy, I wish him to hell. I want no knowledge of what the club will do to him. I just want him out of our lives. He hurt me and he could have hurt Tucker, or worse, and that is unforgiveable in my eyes.

We sit with the children, Tucker close to my side, holding as tightly onto me as tightly as I’m holding onto him.

Opal saved us again. Not only him, but the club as well. They truly showed me today that we are family to them.

Yesterday was a shit storm. Jodie had Tucker sleep in the bed with us last night. She wanted him as close as she could get him, and who am I to take a cub from its mama?

I left Jodie in bed, knowing she needs the sleep. We may have been in bed last night, but she didn’t sleep. She kept touching Tucker, stroking his hair, his face.

Making my way to the kitchen, I hear the kids playing outside again, enjoying the morning. It’s true what they say about kids bouncing back and being resilient. They’re acting like nothing happened yesterday, but I know Sweets will keep an eye on them. Nadia’s niece was taken to the hospital to get stiches in her head, from where Roy hit her with the gun because she wouldn’t let him near Tucker.

“Morning,” Sarge mutters, drinking his coffee. It’s just after ten and this man is awake. Something is up.

“Nightmares?” I edge, filling up my own mug of coffee. I add my sugar and turn to face him, waiting for him to explain. Leaning against the counter, I cross my ankles and take a sip, letting the nectar of the gods get to work.

He nods before taking a drink again, looking down at the table. He looks like he hasn’t slept in fucking weeks, his bloodshot eyes shadowed by dark circles.

“Estelle,” I say and wait for the response. He doesn’t keep me waiting long.

His whole body tenses and he snaps a glare in my direction. I keep my face natural, not wanting to push him, but fuck me, he needs to get this shit out of his head.

“Don’t talk about her. Why the fuck did you hire her anyway?” he snarls.

I smile behind my mug, because clearly, she gets under his skin.

“She’s the best in town, and I needed her. She’s also Jodie’s best friend from years back, so get used to it, brother. She’ll be around for a while. Now tell me how you know her.”

He sighs and sits back in his seat, staring at me like he wants to spill his guts but is unsure how he feels about doing so. We may be brothers in arms, but Sarge has kept something from us. Not that we hold that against him.

“Me and Telle—” He clears his throat and tries again. “Estelle was the one I told you about before. She was the one that sent me the dear John letter and ripped my fucking heart out.” He shrugs likes it’s nothing, but I can sense the pain in his voice.

“You really loved her,” I state, finishing off my coffee before I continue. />
“Fuck, brother, I didn’t get the cold bitch vibe from her, ya know. And I believe I heard her say she thought you were dead. You need to hear her out and see what she has to say.”

“Nah, man. She’s moved on, got her perfect little life, just like she always wanted.”

“Is that what you think? Brother, she’s a strong woman. She runs her own franchise estate agency here. She managed to convince her parents to let her open her own office, which she runs with one employee. Her fiancé dumped her because she got pregnant, and her parents deserted her and blamed her for the prick leaving her, told her it was her responsibility to not get pregnant,” I tell him, and I can see his anger grow.

He stands and storms out of the room without another word. Okay then, I guess we’re done for the day. Chuckling, I wash my mug out and go in search for Tucker. I need to have a man to man with him.

Walking outside to the play area, I see Tucker running around with Lindy, chasing her while she giggles at him. Oh, I see a crush starting there. Fuck me.

“Morning, Sweets.” I greet her with a kiss to her cheek. “How have they been?” I signal to the kids.

“Morning, hon. Honestly, they’ve been great. We had a little talk this morning and they seem perfectly okay, knowing that the brothers had the bad guy. They trust the club. Tucker included.” Hearing her say that Tucker trusts the club makes me love the kid more.

“Wicked. Tucker, come here, bud,” I call out to him and he runs over to me.

“What’s up, Ope?” he greets me, and I cock and eyebrow at him. Sweets laughs before walking toward the kids.

  “Ope?” I quiz.

“Yeah, short for Opal. Like Mom calls me Tuck instead of Tucker.” He shrugs. Gently gripping the back of his neck, I lead him over to one of the picnic benches to have our talk. We sit, and he looks at me expectantly.

“I know yesterday was crazy—hell, the last few weeks have been. I mean, your dad coming back and me coming into yours and your mom’s lives. It’s a head spinner, yeah?” He nods.
