Meng Lei’s eyes shone even brighter.

Dodola curled its lips as an opening split open on the grass patch it was stepping on. A secret compartment appeared with a delicate little box inside.

Meng Lei grabbed the box in its hands and could not wait to open it. With the sound of a click, the box opened. A spatial ring sat quietly inside as Meng Lei picked it up and released his divine cognition...

  “What the heck!?”

Meng Lei was stunned at once.

  “See? Are you shocked now?”

Dodola had an expression as if its evil plan worked.

Meng Lei kept quiet for a while before glaring at Dodola.

  “Dodola, you tricked me!”

“What trick? That’s gone too far!” Dodola got a little angry.

  “Weren’t you the one?”

Meng Lei took out the spatial ring’s wealth—there was only an irregular crystal emanating glows of five different colors.

Meng Lei became angry. “That’s all there is for the God of Time’s wealth? One laws of nature fragment? What are you trying to do?”

  “Er...”

Dodola paused and smacked its head. “Oh, look at my memory. How could I forget such an important matter? I deserve to be beaten up.”

“What else do you have to say?”

Meng Lei’s expression turned sour as he felt he was played like a fool.

“Listen carefully.” Dodola became serious. “The wealth that the God of Time had left for you definitely wasn’t just this laws of nature fragment. It’s just that the other riches are not with me.”

“Not with you? What do you mean?”

  Meng Lei was stunned.

“In those years when that powerful existence was hunting the God of Time, due to the worry of his wealth might fall into that existence’s hands, he split it up and hid it away.”

Dodola said solemnly, “The wealth was split into three groups hidden in three different places. Every single one of them was worth an intermediate Chief God’s lifelong savings!”

  “There’s so much?”

Meng Lei’s eyes lit up again.

“Do you know why the God of Time was being pursued in the past?” Dodola snorted. “That was because other than stealing the high-end existential plane seed, the God of Time also looted that existence’s treasury. And that was a higher Chief God!”

  Gasp!

Meng Lei gasped. “The God of Time had the guts to steal from a higher Chief God? That was a little too bold!”

“That was why he died!” Dodola got a little emotional. “You must learn that lesson and never end up the same way as him!”

“No need to worry, I’m really afraid of death. Without enough capabilities, I’ll never instigate something with anyone more powerful than me.” Meng Lei shook his head. “Oh yes, where were the three sets of wealth hidden?”

“Two are pretty far. Let’s not mention them yet,” Dodola said. “The nearest from here is in the Opus Mountains in the Thunderbolt Divine Realm.”

“Thunderbolt Divine Realm!” Meng Lei frowned in an instant. “It’s over there... Now, this is rather troublesome. But it should be fine if I do a makeover and leave with that set of wealth.”

“It’s not much of an issue for you.”

Dodola nodded. Meng Lei had many bloodlines. As long as he could enter the Thunderbolt Divine Realm secretly, who would recognize him?

“Once this trip in the Boundless Plane is over, I’ll head to the Thunderbolt Divine Realm and retrieve those treasures.”

Meng Lei’s eyes were sparkling. The wealth was similar to an intermediate Chief God, so it was too much for him to miss out on.

“Before you go, you must comprehend the time-based laws of nature first.” Dodola pointed to that piece of laws of nature fragment and continued. “The three sets of wealth are hidden in time fluxes. If you have not yet comprehended the time-based laws of nature, you won’t get those riches.”

“Comprehend the time-based laws of nature?”

Meng Lei looked at the laws of nature fragment, which emanated glows of five colors—it was clearly a quintuple-elemental fusion laws of nature fragment. Meng Lei could tell it was the five elements, Thunder, Fire, Wind, Light, and Dark, which were required to comprehend the time-based laws of nature.

“This quintuple-elemental fusion laws of nature fragment is the key to those riches. It will only be possible to obtain that wealth once you have completely understood the time-based laws of nature,” Dodola said slowly.

“As long as I have the laws of nature fragment, anything would be easy!” Meng Lei chuckled as he ordered, “System, plunder the quintuple-elemental fusion laws of nature.”

Of course, he could slowly comprehend the laws of nature within this fragment, but that would have been too slow. Hence, he opted to plunder directly. He believed that it would work since Super Plunder could steal anything.

“Ding! Plundering target: Quintuple-elemental Fusion Laws of Nature Fragment. Target substance: Quintuple-elemental Fusion Laws of Nature.”

The system said coldly, “Ding! Plunder cost: 6 Divinity Crystals. Will you plunder it?”

  “Plunder it!”

  Whoosh!

Strange energy shrouded the laws of nature fragment. Within a blink of an eye, the five-colored glow was gone while the laws of nature fragment became white dust. The fragment then turned into white dust, sliding off Meng Lei’s fingers like white sand.

At the same time, a deluge of information flooded Meng Lei’s mind like a movie being played.

Meng Lei quickly started to comprehend the information.

Speaking of prowess in the comprehension of laws of nature, Meng Lei was a weirdo who understood ten basic laws of nature. With just that, he was the only one in the entire universe who could do it.

Other than that, he comprehended a few dozen double-elemental fusion laws of nature, four kinds of triple-elemental fusion laws of nature, and two kinds of quadruple-elemental fusion laws of nature.

However, after comprehending so many laws of nature, Meng Lei had not yet been introduced to the quintuple-elemental fusion laws of nature. Since he met one here, he would naturally become serious in comprehending it.

“Quickly! The priceless treasure is over there!”

“Faster! Before others beat us to it!”

At that moment, a bunch of uninvited guests arrived. They were a thousand feet tall, wearing golden armor and holding giant axes or hammers, while they appeared to have elephant heads and a human body.

Each of them emitted a savage, violent aura, just like gigantic humanoid elephants.

“Where’s the priceless treasure? Where is it?”

These Elephant-Men moved around swiftly, but they could not see the priceless treasure. Instead, they saw Meng Lei, who had returned to his human form, making them mad.

“Damn it! No matter how much we rushed, someone still beat us to it!”

“Kill him! Snatch the priceless treasure back! Then leave at once!”

  “Kill!”

The current Meng Lei was focused on comprehending the laws of nature, and thus his aura became as ordinary as an average Joe—there was absolutely no sense of power.

  Hence, the Elephant-Men attacked.

They drew their giant axes and war hammers and swung at Meng Lei, aiming to end things quickly by killing Meng Lei and leaving immediately.

  Bam, bam, bam!

Heavy weapons like axes and hammers landed on Meng Lei’s body without any damage done, but it woke up Meng Lei.

  “Ugh! Damn it!”

Meng Lei was immersed in the complex quintuple-elemental fusion laws of nature. Once he completed this comprehension, he could buy credit to upgrade it to 100%.

By then, he would have completely comprehended the quintuple-elemental fusion laws of nature and achieved a Great Perfection-level domain.

A Great Perfection-level divine body and a Great Perfection-level domain would make Meng Lei a true Great Perfection expert!<

Such a wonderful thing... interrupted as he was woken up.

Meng Lei suddenly had a feeling of destroying everything. “You f*cking bastards! How dare you all spoil my comprehension process! Die! All of you deserve death!”

A raging aura exploded like huge tidal waves. Rumbling sounds echoed as the Elephant-Men who attacked him were thrown away instantly.

  “Ugh!”

All of them were coughing up blood incessantly as horror peaked among them.

  “W-what a terrifying aura!”

“Sh*t! We’ve run into the wall this time!”

“Run! Just run! He’s too powerful!”

At their cultivation level, they were not dumb. They knew that Meng Lei was not someone they could mess with once they finally sensed Meng Lei’s true aura.

  And so they ran.

  “Escape? Come here!”

The God’s Domain spread out and imprisoned every Elephant-Man. Meng Lei raised his palm and slapped each of them like flies.

  Crack!

  Crack!

  Crack!

  All the Elephant-Men exploded...

Chapter 355: Contest Between Two Sides, Angels and Behemoths

A commoner’s rage would lead to blood splattering three feet away.

An emperor’s rage would lead to a flowing river of blood with floating shields.

Meng Lei’s rage would lead to the heaven fall and the earth rend.

  Crack!

  Crack!

  Crack!

Each Elephant-Man was smashed into a bloody pulp as over 30 clouds of bloody mist combined for an incredibly bloody scene.

  “A bunch of trash!”

Meng Lei kept the Elephant-Men’s bodies and separated their divine cores before he destroyed their divine spirits amidst petrified begging sounds.

“Ding! 1 Giant Elephant-Man killed. 920 million Divinity Crystals gained!”

“Ding! 1 Giant Elephant-Man killed. 64 million Divinity Crystals gained!”

“Ding! 1 Giant Elephant-Man killed. 62.5 million Divinity Crystals gained!”

  “Ding...”

The Giant Elephant Gods were one of the ten great godly clans who enjoyed the same status as the Colossal Dragon Gods, the Titan Gods, the Angel Gods, and the Frost Gods.

Meng Lei might be cautious in the past, but he would not think much of them now.

At present, Meng Lei held his breath in concentration before he continued comprehending the laws of nature flooding into his mind.

However, like a leaking house caught in an overnight rain, misfortune rarely came singly as another group of uninvited visitors arrived shortly.

They wore milky-white armors, with huge swords of light and four pairs of snowy-white feathered wings. They emanated a holy aura—angels, they were all eight-winged angels!

  “Where’s the great treasure?”

  “The phenomenon disappeared too!”

“He must have taken the treasure!”

  Whoosh!

The eight-winged angels swept their glances toward Meng Lei as murderous intent flashed across their eyes. That unusual phenomenon was so mythical that the treasure must be extraordinary. Hence, it attracted them here.

Yet now, the treasure was nowhere to be seen. Meng Lei’s presence here must have meant that he got that treasure.

“Kid, hand the great treasure, and we can let you live!”

The leading eight-winged angel bellowed coldly. That was Rodd Gabriel, an elder of the Gabriel Angel Gods in the Thunderbolt Divine Realm. He was also a Highest Order Angel—Seraph.

However, Meng Lei ignored him as he focused on understanding the quintuple-elemental fusion laws of nature.

Rodd Gabriel’s face became awful. Just as he was about to get mad, another eight-winged angel said suddenly, “Oh no, someone else is here!”

  “Mm?”

Rodd Gabriel looked in another direction and saw a group rushing toward their direction. He recognized them instantly. “Damn it! It’s the Bahamut Behemoth Gods! These smelly chimpanzees are attracted here too!”

“The Bahamut Behemoth Gods!” A commotion erupted among the angels. “Elder, what do we do now?”

“The great treasure is ours, and no one shall snatch it away from us!” Rodd Gabriel yelled. “Protect him, and don’t let these monkeys take him away no matter what!”

  “Yes, Elder!”

The other angels replied with an affirmative as they surrounded Meng Lei to—yes—protect him.

  “It’s you!”

The behemoths of the Bahamut Behemoth Gods arrived shortly. They frowned once they saw the Gabriel Angel Gods.

They were a thousand feet tall, their golden fur stood up like steel needles, and their solid muscles were bulging like rocks that were full of explosive strength.

“So it’s the hypocritical birds!” The leading golden behemoth had a sour face. “And it seems that the priceless treasure has fallen into your hands?”

His name was Ludwig Bahamut, an elder of the Bahamut Behemoth Gods in the Thunderbolt Divine Realm, a powerful high-level Primordial Behemoth King!

  “Of course!”

Rodd Gabriel sneered. “The great treasure is already ours, Ludwig. Why don’t you leave since you came late?”

Ludwig’s heart sank a little—the unusual phenomenon that came with the arrival of the treasure happened not long ago, yet, these birdmen were quick to beat them to such an extraordinary treasure.

But, since we’re here, why should we return empty-handed?

With that thought, Ludwig replied coldly, “Rodd, since the commotion over it was huge, the treasure must be extraordinary. Why don’t you show everyone?”

“The great treasure is ours. And it has nothing to do with you. If you don’t wish to sever our relations, leave immediately!” Rodd Gabriel said coldly.

“All I wanted was to have a glimpse of it. Why so nervous?” Ludwig said indifferently, “There’s a saying that, ‘All that catches sight of it should be entitled to a share’. Since we’re here already, we can’t just leave empty-handed, right?”

  “What do you want?”

  Rodd Gabriel’s face darkened.

“Bring out the treasure, and we’ll split evenly!” Ludwig let the cat out of the bag. “How about that?”

“You really want a fight, do you, Ludwig?” Rodd Gabriel said as rage mounted.

“Rodd, if you know what’s good for you, hand the priceless treasure immediately!” Ludwig’s true intentions revealed themselves. “Or else, I don’t mind leaving all of you lying around here!”

“You foul monkey, you’re too much! If you want the treasure that bad, let’s see if you have the capabilities to snatch it from us!” Rodd Gabriel bellowed as a gigantic holy sword appeared in his hand. He pointed the tip at Ludwig, a cold glint flashing across the blade’s surface.

“We’ve not met for so long, and you’ve grown to be aggressive. Fine, I’ll play this game with you today!”

Ludwig waved off the rest of the behemoths before he shot forward. “Come on, Rodd! Let me see whether you have improved after all these years!”

“You’re going too far!” Rodd yelled.

He prepared to meet Ludwig with his sword. Just as a fierce battle seemed inevitable, Meng Lei opened his eyes suddenly.

  “Are you guys done already?”

Meng Lei’s voice was not too loud, but it was clear enough to be heard by everyone. The angels and behemoths looked toward him.

  “Who’s there?”

Both Ludwig and Rodd stopped at the same time before their battle started, and they looked at Meng Lei with surprised looks.

Meng Lei was furious, like a volcano ready to erupt anytime. He swept a glance over the bunch of angels and behemoths and demanded, “If you all don’t come up with a plausible explanation, I’ll make sure you stay here for eternity!”

“Little fellow, who are you to speak to us like that?” Ludwig snorted coldly. “If the priceless treasure is with you, hand it ov
er! Or else, I’ll devour you alive!”

“Eat me? Aren’t you afraid that you’ll break your teeth?”

  Meng Lei scoffed.

  “You have a death wish!”

A terrifying aura emanated from Ludwig, sending the eight-winged angels surrounding Meng Lei flying. Ludwig took only a step to reach before Meng Lei.

He then swung his gigantic hairy palm toward Meng Lei’s head. Any ordinary person would have been crushed by it.

As usual, though, Meng Lei did not attempt to dodge at all as he watched the gigantic palm crashing on his head.

  Bam!

With a muffled bang, Ludwig’s hand bounced off Meng Lei’s head. The head seemed perfectly fine as Meng Lei stood casually in the same spot.

  “How can this be?!”

Feeling the numbness from the palm that struck Meng Lei, Ludwig’s eyes were wide open as if he had seen a ghost. Horror and inconceivability filled his eyes.

How was it possible that he could not even move Meng Lei’s head with his strike? What kind of joke was that?

“Only this little strength?” Meng Lei mocked. “It’s not even enough to tickle me, and you wanted to eat me? Maybe you don’t mind becoming the joke of the Thunderbolt Divine Realm!”

Ludwig would have become terribly enraged by now after being mocked like that. However, cold sweat broke out of Ludwig’s back while his heart sank.

“W-who are you?” Ludwig asked in a low voice. He had a bad feeling that he might have run into a wall this time.

“The dead don’t have to know!”

Meng Lei shook his head as he appeared right in front of Ludwig like a specter and poked a finger on Ludwig’s forehead.

  Splurt!

  A bloody hole appeared.

Chapter 356: Fusing Them Into One, Time-Based Laws of Nature

  “Noooo!”

Ludwig froze on the spot as indignation and despair filled his eyes. No matter what, he’d never have ever thought that he, an elder of the Bahamut Behemoth Gods and a powerful high-level Primordial Behemoth King, would actually die in such a way in a place like this!

  Just how miserable was that?

  He couldn’t accept it!

“How dare you bark madly like a dog in front of me? How presumptuous!” Meng Lei gouged out Ludwig’s divine core and took his spatial ring before tossing his dead body to the little golden tree in the Tower of Time.
