“I hope she knows what she’s doing. I really don’t want to make her pay for all of this,” Kiernan says.
“I know what I’m doing, thank you very much,” Oceana croaks out.
Kiernan turns to see Oceana. She hasn’t opened her eyes, but she’s talking.
“How come she changed?” Kiernan asks.
What does he mean, how come I changed? Did something happen to my body? Was it really lava? Did it burn my skin?
“I warned you all her dragon was going to come sooner than later.”
I shifted? Is that what the bone breaking feeling was?
“Can she hear us?” Kira says.
“Yes, she can hear you. She’s still in a state. Her mind and body have to become one again.” Oceana whispers.
The aggravated and worry tone Kiernan has, twists my heart. “When will she be able to talk to us? I need to know she’s ok!”
I try talking. It feels like sandpaper and glass are in my throat. “I can talk, love. I’m as good as expected. When did I change?”
“Love, I’m so glad you’re ok! You changed about twenty minutes after the spell. You kept changing from human to dragon. You stopped changing about an hour ago. Your beast is so beautiful.” I could hear the proudness in his voice.
I try opening my eyes. I want to see my mate and his beautiful eyes. When I couldn’t open them, I start to panic. Why won’t my eyes open? Where they burned shut?
I can hear the panic in my own voice. “Why can’t I open my eyes?”
“Your body isn’t ready yet. Give it a few more hours. Relax and let your body and soul settle.”
I relax as much as I can. At one point, I must have fallen asleep. It feels so good to have the pain gone. I’m finally able to relax and give my body and soul time to settle again. There is so much we need to do and so little time to do it in. I know the first thing I’m doing when I wake up is spend some much-needed time with everyone. I need to connect with them again. My soul needs it to heal in more ways than one.

I grew up on the West side of Chicago in a city called Aurora, Il. I now live in a small town in the mountains of Tennessee with my husband and 5 furbabies. I love to be outdoors when the weather permits it. I love to read fantasy/paranormal romance. Which is how I got into writing fantasy romance. My favorite thing to is crafting. I make most of my own swag for you to enjoy, oh and gummy worms and bears are my weakness and White Monster drinks. I need to keep my energy up to keep up with my characters somehow, lol.
I fell in love with reading after I read the Twilight series. I was a late bloomer to reading of course when growing up all that was in the house was western not even romance western and Contemporary romance that I’m not into.
