Poseidon's Lady (Poseidon's Warriors MC)
Page 13
She reaches up blindly with a hand and pulls me close before she starts kissing me. Against my lips, she murmurs, “That was fantastic, Jesse. Can you fuck me now?”
“My pleasure, sweetheart,” I whisper back as I slowly start entering her. Even as wet as she is, I have to go slow in order not to blow like a teenager during his first time. As her wet heat engulfs me, I moan. The feeling is unlike anything I’ve ever felt before and I worry I won’t last long. Her legs wrap around my waist, drawing me in further until I’m fully seated. “Fucking heaven right here, Lilli,” I say, pulling back slightly and thrusting in once again.
“Feels good, so good.” She’s practically purring as she speaks.
I capture her lips with mine and as I continue moving in and out of her, my tongue mimicking what my dick is doing down below. Soon, the only sound that can be heard throughout the room is the slapping of our skin as my pace quickens. Her hands are kneading my back and she’s rubbing her breasts against my chest as her breath quickens. “You gonna come on my dick?” I rasp out.
“I-I think so,” she replies. I can feel her pussy begin to ripple and reach between us to stroke her clit. Her back bows off the bed and she yells my name as her pussy clenches on my dick. Three more strokes and I’m joining her, pumping my seed into her welcoming sheath. The only sound now is our breathing as we struggle to regain control. To keep from crushing her, I roll until she’s draped over me, our bodies still connected.
“Fucking explosive, just like I thought,” I say as I kiss her sweat-dampened forehead. “Never like this before, Lilli, and I suspect the longer we’re together, the better it’ll be.”
“It gets any better than that and I might just die,” she replies with a giggle.
“No dying on my watch, pretty girl,” I demand. Fuck, I finally have her where I’ve always wanted, ever since I met her, and she’s talking about dying?
Not. Fucking. Happening.
“Can we do that again?” she asks, running her hand through my chest hair.
“Absolutely.”
Over and over that night, I make love to her until we finally collapse in a heap, legs tangled together.
Poseidon
Since we finally connected physically nearly two months ago, I can’t keep my hands off my old lady. I’ll be working and thoughts of how she sounds before she comes will break into whatever I’m doing. At this point, I’m surprised there’s anything left in my balls because we’ve been going at it like rabbits. Speaking of rabbits, little miss Lilli has apparently killed one, something we’ll be checking on later once we take care of the other errands I have set in place. I doubt she even realizes that she’s pregnant, but I’ve noticed the subtle differences in her body and she’s almost ravenous when it comes to sex lately. A knock on my office door has me raising my head to see Trident standing there, a troubled look on his face. “Are you busy?” he asks.
I motion him in, and he flops into the chair in front of my desk. “What’s going on, brother?” I question. He’s been a bit more intense than usual which is concerning. He’s always intense, but lately, it’s as if the weight of the world is on his shoulders.
“How did you know that Lilli was the one?” he inquires, causing my brow to raise. He’s not a manwhore, but he has never shown any interest in sticking with just one woman.
“It wasn’t any one thing, brother. I mean, I knew she was mine when she collapsed at my feet up at the cabin, but the more I got to know her, the more I realized that she was everything I ever wanted. What’s up?”
“Shit, I don’t know. I mean, I can’t tell you everything of course because of privacy and HIPAA laws, but there’s this woman. She’s uh, she’s come in a few times and there’s something about her that intrigues me, captivates me.”
“Have you asked her out?” I mean, that sounds like a good idea to me and I wonder if there’s more to it since he’s in here talking to me.
“I can’t,” he soberly retorts.
“Why the hell not? Wait, she’s not one of those women who thinks that bikers are beneath her, is she?”
“What? No, that’s not it, brother. She’s...fuck...she’s married.”
“Well, then she’s off-limits, brother.” I know my brothers and we all have that same moral compass inside; single women are there for the asking but anyone who is taken, whether they’re dating, engaged or married, is off the playing field. There’s no code of honor in stealing another’s spouse. And if anything, we are honorable men in that aspect.
“That’s just it, Poseidon. I think...I believe he’s abusing her.” His expression causes me to pause a moment. One thing we don’t tolerate is women being abused at a man’s hand. No woman nor child should ever suffer from an abusive fuck.
“Tell me more,” I demand, leaning forward.
“Fuck, okay, she’s been in the emergency room three times over the past month for various things. The first time was with a broken arm and when she was asked how it happened, she said she tripped and fell and put her arm out to brace her fall. It could’ve happened that way, so no alarms were raised. The second time, she had a nasty bump and a black eye. Again, she claimed she fell; this time it was against the wall. Figuring she was just clumsy; no further inquiries were made and we didn’t call the cops. But this last time...fucking hell...this last time, she looked like she’d gone up against the heavyweight defender for fifteen rounds and lost. Her husband claimed that she blacked out and hit a tree which caused her injuries. Again, plausible, right? Except...fuck me, Poseidon, this guts me and you know some of the shit we’ve seen – when I was cleaning her up so I could stitch her up, I found bruises shaped like boot prints against her ribs. No motherfucking car accident would cause anything like that!”
“You bring the law in this time?” I ask.
“Yeah. She’s sticking to her story, though. I’m worried because her injuries keep getting worse. I fear she’s in danger.”
I make a decision even though we typically vote on this at church. “Let’s put Asa and Nate on her, discreetly of course. They can keep an eye on her to see if she’s in danger from her husband and if we need to, we’ll get her out. Sound good to you?” I watch him run his hand over his head before he tugs on his beard.
“It’ll have to do for now, brother. She’s just...fuck, I can’t explain it. She’s high society from the top of her perfectly styled hair down to her feet, but she doesn’t act that way. Now, the fucker she’s married to? He’s a bastard through and through. You know the type; they think their shit doesn't stink.”
“Who is this asshole?” I inquire.
“Lowell. Lowell Jeffries.” Well fuck me. He’s a hotshot attorney trying to get into politics.
“You couldn’t just find some run-of-the-mill woman who bakes cookies and wants a houseful of kids, could you?” I ask.
“Fuck you, brother,” he replies, but there’s no heat behind his tone. “She’s not safe, I know she’s not. I just don’t know why.”
“We’ll find out and get her safe, Trident. For no other reason than she’s come to mean something to you.”
“That’s just it; we’ve spoken maybe a few dozen words to each other. But fuck, Poseidon, the way she handles everything so gracefully and humbly, it breaks me.”
“Anything else?” I question. I need to finish up the paperwork for a new job we’re bidding on, then grab Lilli and take off for the rest of the day.
“No, that’s it. Thanks, brother,” he says, standing. “You want me to talk to Asa and Nate, or do you?”
“I got it, T. You go get some rest, you look like shit,” I tell him. He flips me off and I go back to my paperwork, laughing.
“Where are we going, Jesse?” she asks me. We just finished eating lunch and I think she thought we were going back to the clubhouse, but I’ve got two errands with her first.
“You’ll see,” I reply, squeezing her hand then laying it back on my thigh as I drive.
“You and your mysteries,” she say
s, giggling. “Can I ask you something?”
“Anything.”
“Have any of your brothers indicated how I’m doing? I mean, work-wise, that is. They act happy that I’m doing what I am, but I didn’t know if it was because I’m your old lady or not.”
I glance at her before returning my attention to the road. “Sweetheart, trust me, they’re all singing your praises. Loki thought adding a place on the appointment scheduler for the client to make a deposit was brilliant. He also likes how you take the time to call each client the day after they’ve been inked to see if they have any questions or issues. Atlas and Reef loved the idea of ‘Ladies Day’ at the shop and said they’re so busy every Wednesday that they may have to add another mechanic just to handle the oil changes. And the bar? Jesus woman, adding a few items on the bar menu, plus doing a ‘drink of the day’ special? Trust me when I say, all of the brothers are happy right now.”
“Really? I’m glad because I’ve been reading different things to try and increase business.”
“Well, the money rolling in means that whatever you’re reading is working for us.” I can’t help but chuckle because when we had church and discussed what to pay her, Specks suggested that we figure out what we would’ve had to pay someone for each of those positions and offer that salary. While I know, based on what she’s mentioned of the monies she got from her grandparents as well as her parents, that she doesn’t really have to work, she didn’t want to ‘sit on her ass’ the rest of her life. We didn’t take that into consideration, however, since she’s doing the work of several people. She’s definitely earning her pay. It’s my hope that she’ll want to stay at home with our kids, but ultimately, it’ll be her choice.
She laughs and says, “I have a few more ideas that I’ve written down that I’ll give you since I know y’all have to vote on them.” As we pass a strip mall, she sees the graffiti marring the sides of the building. “Why do people do that?” she asks. “There’s no reason to deface anyone’s property.”
I shake my head. “Don’t know, sweetheart. We’ve noticed an increase in the gangs around town doing stupid, petty shit. So far, none of it has touched our businesses, but the area is going downhill and we may end up relocating the club at some point.”
“Really? Why?”
“Because if the area continues to go down, people who want our services won’t want to come around and that’ll hurt our bottom line. Not only that, but it seems that a lot of the judicial system is letting them go as quick as the cops around here arrest them. While you’re the first old lady in the club, I don’t think you’ll be the last and I won’t have you or any of the others that come along in the future being scared.”
“That’s understandable, I guess. What are we doing here?” she questions as I pull into a jewelry store. I put the truck in park and shut it off before I get out, grab my cut and slip it on while going to the passenger side. I help her out and lock the truck, lacing her fingers in mine.
“Got something to pick up,” I reply. I see the quizzical look on her face and have to hold back my grin. She has no clue that I’m not wasting any time putting my ring on her finger and getting married. I am tying her to me in every way I can legally, even though in my world, being my old lady is more than enough.
This store is a bit different; they’ve got a showroom, of course, but there are rooms where you can take your intended to and propose to them. Since she’s a bit private, that’s what I’ve decided to do. I haven’t told her I love her, and she hasn’t told me either, but I know down to the marrow of my bones that she feels the same way I do.
“Ah, Mr. Malone, glad you were able to come in today,” the old jeweler says as we breach the doorway. “Come, come, follow me.” He turns and I place my hand at the base of her back and gently maneuver us so we’re right behind him. He leads us into a room and I smirk, seeing all the flowery bullshit that women seem to like with twinkly lights and soft music. He discreetly hands me a box which I’m able to slide into the pocket inside my cut and then leaves us, closing the door behind him.
“Jesse? What is this?” Lilli asks me as she turns to look around. There’s a small seating area and I lead her there, then pull the chair so we’re sitting face-to-face, our knees touching.
I take a deep breath then another. I’ve faced down men in enemy territory with guns pointed at me with no fear, yet this slip of a woman has the ability to crush me if she doesn’t respond the way I think she will. If all goes as planned, the second errand, thanks to Specks’ assistance, will be next. “Lilli, since the day you fell at my feet you’ve been mine. Mine to protect, mine to care for and mine to cherish. Even though you were still engaged, I knew that there would never be anyone else for me. I love you, sweetheart, and while some people may think this is too soon, I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Not just as your old man and you my old lady, but with you by my side as my wife. Will you marry me?” I ask as I pull the box out and open it.
Her eyes glisten with unshed tears and I notice her hands are shaking as she reaches out and takes the box. “Jesse? Are...are you sure, honey? I love you so much, what we’ve started may seem unconventional to many, but how we are with each other reminds me so much of what I always dreamed I would have, I’d be a fool to ignore it. Yes, I’d be proud to be your wife.”
I take the ring and slip it on her finger before pulling her into my arms and kissing her. Somehow, despite all the kisses we’ve shared, this one has something extra to it, likely because for the first time we’ve shared the actual words between us instead of just the actions. “Love you, pretty girl,” I whisper when we finally pull back, breathless.
“Love you too, handsome.”
As we walk out of the room, the old man hands me a flash drive and says, “We tape the proposals for our customers. Here’s yours.”
Lilli’s face is radiant as she says, “Thank you,” and I watch as the old man blushes.
“You’re quite welcome, my dear. As always, we at Mancuso’s are delighted to help another couple take that next step toward wedded bliss. May you have many long and blessed years together just as my Sylvie and I have had.”
Lilli
I feel like I’m walking on clouds now as Jesse and I walk back through the store and out to his truck. He helps me in and when I am still staring at my ring, he smirks before buckling me up and closing my door. I watch him remove his cut before he gets in, laying it almost reverently across the back seat. “Why do you do that?” I question.
“For us, it’s a show of respect for our colors, our club. We wear them when we’re riding, of course, but when we’re in a cage; a vehicle, we remove it. We also don’t wear them when we go through another MC’s territory unless we’ve reached out to advise we’re traveling through as a sign of respect toward them.”
“Huh. That makes sense. Jesse, my ring is beautiful. How did you know what size to get?”
“I may have borrowed one of yours one day,” he states. Before he starts the truck, he leans over the console and says, “You’ve made me the happiest man alive, Lilli.”
“I think I’m the happiest woman on the planet right now, so it looks like we’re evenly matched,” I tease leaning toward him. “Can I kiss my fiancé now?” I ask.
“With pleasure,” he replies, threading his fingers through my hair and claiming my lips. “We’ve got two more errands to run, pretty girl,” he murmurs against my lips.
“Then let’s get to it so we can go home and celebrate this,” I purr, waving my hand in the air. He chuckles then cranks up the truck and backs out.
As he drives, I inform him, “I had a weird message from Kassidy the other day.” He gets a look on his face I can’t decipher but doesn’t say anything, so I continue. “She first said that Anson was in the hospital after a home invasion or something like that, then she said she got fired from her job for being on the sex offender registry. Jesse, she’s never done anything of the sort in her life, how is that possible?”
/> “No clue, sweetheart. Maybe you didn’t know her like you thought you did,” he responds to me, but I have an inkling suspicion he knows more than what he’s letting on.
“You might be right,” I sigh. It’s obvious there was quite a lot I didn’t know about my former best friend. However, I can’t find it in me to really give a flying fuck. Karma's a bitch and all that, so if her life has tanked, she’s getting what she deserved. I notice that we’re pulling in front of the courthouse and glance over at my man. “What are we doing here?”
“Getting married,” he states, easily as that. It’s as if he just informed me the sky is blue.
“Married? We just got engaged like, twenty minutes ago. How is that possible? Don’t we need to have a license?” I begin panicking… I’m not dressed for my wedding day!
“We have one,” he says.
“We do? How is that possible? It’s funny, I don’t remember coming down to the courthouse to apply for one,” I muse.
“Specks may or may not have assisted us in this endeavor.” Hmm… I can’t help but wonder what else Specks has been up to.
“Isn’t that illegal?” I whisper-shout, looking around. Granted we’re inside the truck still, but at his words, I suddenly feel like everyone knows. And I’m still stuck on what I’m supposed to wear. I mentally begin going through my closet and drawers to figure out what I have that is appropriate for a wedding… my wedding! I wanna head to the clubhouse really fast to rummage through my clothes, but it seems as if Jesse isn’t going to take me there, so I don’t even ask.
