  amula

An Aspected’s life force harmonics will resonate with one specific crystal, except in the case of a Trine. Because they possess all three Aspects, Trines have the innate ability to modulate their life harmonics to adapt to any amulet.

  amulets

The sacred tool and relic containing a gemstone used by the Aspected to manifest their powers outside of themselves. While all Aspected have certain abilities without an amulet (e.g. telekinesis, telepathy), to produce major actions with their Aspects requires the use of an amulet. Typically, when they’ve reached 18 summers old, Aspected choose a single amulet for life through a mystical union of life harmonics matching the natural harmonics within the gemstone’s crystal structure. The connection is unique and indelible. The loss or destruction of an amulet causes untold anguish on the Aspected individual, most committing suicide. Only Trines, those with all three Aspects, can choose more than one amulet. (see Aspects, Aspected, Choosing Ceremony, Trine)

Aspects Above; This is the trinity-like deity that Kinderrans believe created the universe and all living things. They are the source of life and the powers of the Aspects.

  Aspected

Generic term for one who possesses the powers of the Aspects. In the culture and beliefs of Kinderra, the Unaspected were the first peoples created by the Aspects Above. Some of these were chosen by the Aspects Above and touched with fingers of lightning, bestowing upon them the powers of the Aspects to become the Aspected, stewards and protectors of all of Kinderra. The expression of Aspect powers occurs in about one of every 1,000 births.

  Aspects, Powers of the

The powers of the Aspects occur in three types: Defending, conferring extraordinary reflexes, speed, strength, and situational awareness, as well as the ability to manifest amulet fire from one’s amulet; Seeing, conferring the ability to see into the past, present, and future; and Healing, conferring the ability to stimulate the healing of injury and illness thousands of times faster than normal. Major expressions of the Aspects require the focus of an amulet. For example, while it is possible for a healer without an amulet to suppress pain in another to a degree, to set a broken bone would require an amulet to focus the Healing Aspect. All Aspected have certain innate abilities that do not require an amulet, including telekinesis, telepathy, and some ability to shunt away pain and enhance endurance.
