Deceitful Hearts

Jamar got up and slid down the bed so that he was now sitting next to her midsection and could see her face. Her eyes darted away as soon as she made eye contact with him. Jamar slid his hand up her thigh and under her shirt. She tried to close her legs, but he was quicker. The moment his fingers found her center, he could feel the juices. He rubbed his hand up and down her lower lips slowly.
“Tell me, baby. You scared of me?”
Phoenix swallowed hard. “I’m not scared of you or anybody else.”
“Good, because I don’t want you to be.” Jamar pushed her legs apart and lowed his body until he was eye level with her pussy. With her legs up in the air, the shirt fell back freely, exposing her body. Juices involuntarily escaped her as she shifted around the bed nervously. Little did she know every time she moved it made his mouth water a little bit more. “Let me taste you, Phoenix.”
“Hell, you already down there. What you asking for now?”
“Your mouth is too fucking terrible, but I got something for that.”
Jamar dove head first into her goods. His lips circled her clit, holding it in his mouth as his tongue flicked across it lightly. The first moan that escaped her lips was more of a yell than anything. The mild base in her voice would never get old to him. That shit was so fucking sexy. He needed to hear it again, so he sucked harder, licked softer, fingered faster until she was moaning nonstop.
When she finally reached her peak, her back arched off the bed and she started scooting away. Jamar watched her back out of his grip to the top of the bed. He smiled at her attempt to get away before pulling her back down on the bed and back onto the tip of his tongue.
“Don’t be scared of me.”
Shit. I have to fuck this girl.
Jamar sat up ono his knees and pulled his shorts down. Phoenix watched as he removed his clothing and climbed back into bed with her. With one arm, he played in her wetness while he used the other to grab a condom from the drawer next to his bed. Her eyes followed his every move. He was moving at record speed, not wanting to give her time to change her mind.
“Don’t be scared, okay?” He looked into her eyes.
“I’m not.”
Jamar kissed her mouth and slid into her body. Once again, she tried to scoot away, but he held her in place. He thought about going slow, but changed his mind. He moved his hips rapidly, pounding in and out of her.
“Oww, Jamar.” Phoenix slapped the side of his arm, but he kept going.
Jamar was in a zone. If all skinny girl’s pussy was this good, he was going to have to start fucking with them. Phoenix was so wet and tight he had to keep thinking of other off brand shit so that he wouldn’t bust prematurely.
“Jamar, it hurts.” Phoenix’s voice came out in a desperate whine.
Shit, fuck her. We can’t be together anyway, Jamar thought as he kept his pace. That may have been a bad way to look at it, but shit, it was the truth. Phoenix moaned in pain as Jamar fucked her senseless. When he felt the nut building in the tip of his dick, he slammed into her and held her there until he climaxed. Only then did he pump slowly before pulling out.
He hadn’t even laid down all the way before Phoenix was out of the bed and headed to the bathroom. Jamar felt like the king of the fucking universe after the nut he’d just bust. For a minute he lay on the bed looking at the ceiling until he decided to get up and wash himself off. He peeled the sticky condom from his body and pulled his shorts back on. After tying the top of the Condom into a knot, he threw it in the trashcan. He was walking back to the bed when Phoenix came out of the bathroom. He thought she was coming to get back in the bed to cuddle and all that soft shit girls liked to do, but he was sadly mistaken.
Phoenix walked directly over to him and punched him in the face. Not once, but twice. From the way she kept swinging, had he not grabbed her wrists, she would have given him some more. Her face was balled into a tight scowl and her eyebrows were furrowed tightly across her forehead. Her chest rose and fell rapidly from the rate at which she was breathing. Jamar knew he had gone kind of hard, but he hadn’t thought she would be this mad.
“Yo, chill your ass out.”
“Fuck you, Jamar. Get your damn hands off of me before I break your fucking wrists.” Phoenix snatched away and walked over to her bag on the floor. She began snatching her things out of it. Once all of her stuff was out, she stood up and pulled his shirt over her head, exposing her naked body. Either she was mad enough not to care or she was dumb as hell to think he wasn’t about to try her ass again. With sex on the brain Jamar walked over to her, but she wasn’t having that. She held her hand up, motioning for him to stop where he was.
“Don’t you come near me.” Phoenix stuck one leg into her shorts before sliding in the other.
“Phoenix, why you tripping? I should be the one mad. Your lil wild ass busted my lip.”
“Nigga, you lucky I don’t kill your muthafucking ass for the shit you just pulled.”
That statement caught Jamar off guard. He stood stunned. This chick was thorough as fuck.
“Yeah, don’t look shook now, nigga. Your ass wasn’t worried about the shit I was saying when you was fucking me like some wild ass animal.” Phoenix was now fully dressed in her work clothes and was pulling her hair into a ponytail or something like that. It resembled a ponytail but she only pushed it up some so it was big and wild hanging all over her head. If she wasn’t so mad, he would have told her how much he liked her hair that way.
“I’m sorry, baby. Chill. I just got a little too excited. My fault.”
“You right your got damn fault.” Phoenix grabbed her bag and headed for the door. On her way out she snatched her phone and charger from his living room wall and headed out. Damn, she ain’t playing.
Jamar followed her all the way to her truck, trying to apologize, but she wasn’t hearing it. Once she was in her truck and was about to crank up, Jamar grabbed her arm. Before he could blink, she had a gun in his face. He hadn’t even seen where she pulled it from.
Jamar put his hands in the air in surrender. “Damn, baby, I pissed you off that bad? I was just trying to apologize.”
“I don’t give a fuck what you were trying to do. Don’t be grabbing on me like that.”
“You right. That was on me. Just come back inside and let me make it right.”
Phoenix looked at him like he’d lost all of the sense God gave him. “Make it right? Are you serious right now? You really think I’d let you touch me like that again?”
“Phoenix, please. I’m sorry. I promise I didn’t mean it like that. Don’t be mad.”
When she put her gun back down, he took a step closer to her truck. He moved slowly so she could see what he was doing, and placed his hand on her thigh.
“Come back inside. I don’t want you out here like this. It’s too late at night for you to be out alone. Stay the night and if you never want to see me again after this then I’ll understand.” He watched her look around in contemplation. “I’ll even sleep on the sofa.”
Phoenix looked at him for a long time before grabbing her bag and getting back out of the truck. Jamar had to hold in his laugh when he tried to help her from the truck and she swatted at his arm. They were back in the house and back in their pajamas when she finally decided to talk to him. He’d been trying unsuccessfully to start another conversation, only to be ignored. It wasn’t until he asked her about her brothers did she acknowledge his presence. He’d asked her how they felt about her being with him tonight.
“They didn’t want me to come. I’m starting to think I should have listened to them.”
“No, you shouldn’t have. You made the right decision.”
“So you say.” Her voice dripped with sarcasm.
“What do I have to do for you to stop being mad at me?”
Phoenix looked around the room, apparently thinking about his question.
“I wanted a massage, but I don’t want your hands anywhere near me, so I’ll pass on that. When I think of
something, I’ll let you know.”
“Damn, I fucked up that bad?”
“You sure did.”
Phoenix was back in his shirt with her hair still up in that big puffy thing that resembled a ponytail. Jamar didn’t know if she was being funny or she really wasn’t thinking, but she was sitting Indian style on his bed, with no panties on beneath his shirt.
“You know I can see all of your goodies, right?”
“That’s good for your ass. You need to see it, so you’ll know what you’re missing because you won’t ever be getting any of this again,” Phoenix opened her legs wider so he could get a better view before closing them and getting under the covers. “Got it? Good. I’m going to bed. Goodnight, you fucking animal.”
Jamar fell over on the floor laughing at her. Phoenix was so silly. Once his own laughter had subsided, her could hear her underneath the covers laughing too. For a while, once they’d both stopped laughing the house was quiet. She was in his bed alone while he was still sitting in his living room on the floor.
“Phoenix, can I get in the bed?”
She was quiet for a minute before answering. “Yes, but get at the bottom and don’t touch me.”
Jamar rose from the floor and joined her in the bed. Doing as he was told, he got at the bottom of his own bed. Something he would have never done. Dealing with Phoenix was already changing him. Whether she did it or not, they needed to end this. Whatever it was they were doing. Hopefully it could be peaceful. If not, he had beef with her brothers anyway. She could join the team and write a death certificate for herself as well.
Chapter 10
The wind blew just a little as the bright rays from the sun kissed her skin. She looked up to the sky with her eyes closed for a second before opening them again. Phoenix and Kara had just left the mall and were headed to the salon to get their hair done. Today was one of the first days Phoenix had ever done something like this. She didn’t hang with girls at all. She hated them. Kara was the only exception and had been for the last year because they worked together.
In the beginning, Phoenix hadn’t liked her either, but the more time she spent around her, the more she started to like her. Since she and Tone had been kicking it for the last couple of weeks, she really liked her now. The only thing that was starting to get on her nerves was Kara always asking her to go to their house. The Zoo Crew didn’t play that shit. No matter who you were. Tone hadn’t invited her, so there was no need for her to be there. Just like now. She’d been carrying on a full conversation by herself about coming to their house once they left the salon.
“I’m just saying I don’t know why y’all have to act so shady about y’all lil house.”
“And I don’t understand why it matters to you so much. We just don’t like people knowing where we stay, that’s all.”
“That’s crazy as hell. Especially since I’m not just anybody.”
Phoenix ignored her and pulled the door open to the salon. She’s been having a rough week and all she wanted to do was relax. She and Ollie had been beefing nonstop due to the fact that his little bitch was still there. Jamar had been blowing up her phone, trying to apologize for their little sex rendezvous, but she wasn’t trying to hear that shit. Tone had been chilling with Kara pretty hard, so she’d been working a lot of extra hours since she was hardly at work.
When she walked in, all eyes were on her. See, this is why I don’t do shit like this. She rolled her eyes and walked over to the receptionist. Once she told her what she wanted done she and Kara took a seat in the waiting area. Phonix had just sat down when she locked eyes with Aaliyah. She was sitting right across from her with a smug look on her face. Phoenix shifted so that she was comfortable in her chair. She wanted to give Aaliyah a few minutes to stop looking at her before she turned that beauty shop up on a Tuesday. When she looked up again, Aaliyah was still looking at her.
“The fuck is you looking at?” Phoenix asked.
“You. I’m just trying to figure out what it is that Oliver sees in a little hood rat like you.”
Phoenix laughed in disbelief. “Bitch, let me warn you because it’s clear you don’t know who you’re talking to. I’m not the one. You come at me the wrong way one more time, and I’m beating that ass.”
“See what I mean? Real women don’t do drama, we do business. If you think I’m about to fight you, you are so wrong. Fighting is so classless.”
“Whatever, hoe, you heard what I said.” Phoenix looked at Kara and shook her head before pulling out her cellphone. She dialed Ollie’s number and waited for him to answer. It took him a few rings, but he finally picked up.
“What’s going on, Phoenix?”
“Nothing right now, but if you don’t teach your little friend to stop disrespecting me, I will kill her ass.”
Phoenix heard Ollie sigh.
“Where y’all at?”
“The salon by the mall.” Phoenix watched Aaliyah turn her nose up at her while she talked on the phone.
“Calling Oliver was so childish.” Aaliyah held her hand up and looked at her nails.
“Ollie, I would advise you to get here because the only reason I haven’t hopped on her head yet is because I know she your people, but in a minute, I’m fucking her up.”
“Just chill, baby. I’ll be there in a minute.”
“Whatever.” Phoenix hung up her phone and stared at Aaliyah. She was just about to say something slick to her but the receptionist motioned for her to come to the back.
After handing her purse to Kara, she got up to walk to the back. As she passed Aaliyah, that bitch stuck her foot out and tripped her up. That was it. She’d gone too far. Phoenix could tell by the way the receptionist looked from her to Aaliyah that she knew some shit was about to pop off. She even took a few steps backwards until she was a safe enough distance from Phoenix. That had definitely been the smart thing to do because the moment Phoenix gained her footing she turned around and lunged at Aaliyah.
“Phoenix, Nooooo!” Kara yelled as she jumped from her chair. She was trying to stop Phoenix, but she wasn’t fast enough.
Phoenix’s entire body was on top of Aaliyah’s. She had a handful of her hair in one hand while punching her with the other. Aaliyah held her hands up in defense as she yelled for someone to get her off of her. Her cries fell on deaf ears because nobody was helping. Everyone who had been sitting near them had moved. The only person that was close to the action was Kara. Initially, she’d tried to pull the two a part but she changed her mind. Aaliyah had been picking since they’d sat down.
“I told your ass… to stop… disrespecting me!” Phoenix said between breaths.
She and Aaliyah had fallen onto the floor some time ago and Phoenix had them hemmed up in a corner. They were locked closed together because Aaliyah had managed to grab Phoenix’s hair. That hadn’t stopped Phoenix from delivering blows to her head. She was lighting Aaliyah’s face up with blows. When she was finally able to balance herself enough to get up from the floor, she kneed her in the face.
Hearing Aaliyah scream fed Phoenix’s anger. She could feel the animal in her rising. Quickly, she pulled her blade from under her bra and sliced Aaliyah down the side of her face. It happened so fast no one saw what happened until blood was leaking onto the floor.
“Oh shit, she’s bleeding,” somebody yelled.
“Somebody break it up,” another patron yelled.
“Ain’t nobody breaking up shit. She’s about to take this ass whooping. Whoever wants to help her can get it right after her,” Kara threatened.
She looked around the shop at everyone, making sure they understood what she was saying. When everybody got quiet, she took that as a sign that they understood. When Kara turned her attention back to the fight, Phoenix was dragging Aaliyah toward the door by her hair. She grabbed their things and followed her.
“Let me go!” Aaliyah screamed as her back hit the concrete stairs that Phoenix was dragging her down.
“You gon’ learn I’m
not the one to fuck with.” Phoenix began kicking Aaliyah in the face.
People passing by were looking, but once again, nobody stopped to help. It wasn’t until an older white guy ran up and grabbed Phoenix, did she stop pummeling Aaliyah. She yelled for him to let her go, but he wouldn’t. He held her in a bear hug before slamming her into the wall of the building.
“Get your hands off me!” Phoenix yelled in his face.
“Ma’am, if you don’t be still, I’m going to be forced to arrest you right now.”
Phoenix calmed down enough to look down at this clothes and sucked her teeth. He was dressed in his blue police uniform. Before she could get two words out to the man, he fell forward and nearly head-butted her. His limp body slid to the side of her and fell to the ground. When she looked up, Ollie was standing there. He had punched the man in the back of the head before pulling her from the wall and grabbing her head between his hands. He looked her over checking for damages before picking up her hand and pulling her to where Aaliyah was standing with the shop manager.
Phoenix wanted to laugh at how busted she looked with her hair all over her head and blood stains on her face and shirt, but she held it in. When Aaliyah looked up and saw Phoenix and Ollie walking toward her, she got hype all over again. She marched toward them while holding a towel against the side of her face. Phoenix felt Ollie’s grip tighten on her hand. He already knew Phoenix would finish fucking Aaliyah up if she said the wrong thing.
“You really standing here holding her hand like she’s the one hurt.”
“I told you to leave this shit alone, Aaliyah. Apparently, you didn’t listen.”
“Are you serious right now, Oliver? This little bitch cut me.”
Ollie turned to look at Phoenix before stepping over to Aaliyah and removing the towel. Just like she’d said Phoenix had cut her. Her skin was split from her eyes to her chin.
“Damn Fe. Why you do that?” Ollie asked
“Ollie, you know how I get down. Don’t play.” Phoenix wasn’t the least bit fazed.
