Deceitful Hearts

Jamar: Hey stranger
She didn’t text back right away. A few minutes passed before she responded.
Phoenix: Not a stranger. You know what’s up.
Jamar: Damn, you cold.
Phoenix: No other way to be
Jamar: Well I was just checking on you
Phoenix: Okay.
Jamar shook his head at how cold hearted this girl was. Never in his life had he ever seen a female with the heart of a nigga. Men were normally the ones with the rude attitude, but not Phoenix. Hanging with all those niggas twenty-four seven had her fucked up. She didn’t even know when to soften up. Jamar had thought he could help her with that, but she was taking their little sexual mishap to heart. She hadn’t been in much contact with him since then, and it had been almost a whole month.
“Any word on your boy?” Jamar asked his cousin as he lowered himself into the seat next to him.
“Yeah, they said he made it through surgery. He’s paralyzed from the waist down, though.”
“Damn, that’s tough,” Jamar said, feeling genuinely sorry for the boy.
“Yeah, it is. At least that nigga pulled through.”
“You right… but I’ma head on out. I’m tired as shit.” Jamar stood and dapped his cousin up. He said his goodbyes to everyone else as walked to the elevators.
When the doors opened, he walked straight down the hallway. As he observed his surroundings, his eyes landed on a petite girl leaning over the nurse’s station. Although he was there for his friend, some women you just had to make time for.
His feet had him moving in her direction before he could stop them. When he was halfway to her, she turned around from the desk and they briefly made eye contact. When she looked at him and turned her head, he started to take that as his cue to leave, but he pushed that thought to the side and walked over to her anyway. He sat in the empty chair next to her and leaned over some so that he was in her space.
She shifted some and turned her nose up at him.
“What brings you to the hospital this time of night?”
“None of your business.”
Jamar laughed. “Why you so rude?”
“Because I am.”
Jamar was about to say something else when the nurse came out and interrupted that thought.
“Aaliyah Austin.”
“That’s me.” Aaliyah got up from her seat and walked toward the nurse. She didn’t even bother to give Jamar a backward glance.
Jamar shook his head, got up from his seat, and went back to the elevator. When the doors opened, the last person he’d expected to see got off. Phoenix looked him up and down and walked around him. Well she tried to, but he put a stop to that. His hand went to her stomach, stopping her.
“Where you going?”
“To check on a friend. Now can you get your hands off of me?”
Jamar moved his hand and replaced it with his body. He blocked her path so that she couldn’t get around him. She tried a few times, but stopped when she saw that it wasn’t working.
“Jamar, why you messing with me?”
“I’m happy to see you. I was hoping we could talk for a minute.”
“You hoped wrong. Now excuse me.” This time Phoenix moved faster than him and was headed down the hall before he could stop her.
He wanted to run behind her to make sure she was safe but he didn’t. His cousins hated The Zoo Crew with a passion, and wouldn’t hesitate to inflict pain onto Phoenix because of that. The more he thought about it the more he wanted to run behind her, but how could he without exposing himself? Phoenix had no idea he was the cousin of her older brother’s enemy. The only thing that eased his mind was the fact that he knew she could handle herself if something popped off.
Flashbacks of the way she just took out an entire club of people put his mind at ease. She handled her gun better than some grown men did. Jamar gave her one last look before pressing the button for the elevator again.
Phoenix stood across the room at the nurse’s station trying to get an update on Tek. Out of her peripheral, she could see Jamar watching her. She’d almost dismissed her mad role when she saw him. He was so damn sexy she could hardly contain herself. That was half of the reason why she was trying her hardest to get away from him. The other reason she needed to get away from him was because she wanted to dig his eyes out of the sockets.
She’d just got off the elevator when she rounded the corner and saw him talking to Aaliyah. What all that shit was about was beyond her. They looked to be low-key arguing about something because Aaliyah’s face frowned during their entire conversation. Phoenix ducked back behind the wall and watched them until she saw Aaliyah get up.
Hurriedly, she’d run to the elevator and got back on. She rode it to the next floor up before riding it right back down. She didn’t want Jamar to even have an inkling that she’d seen him. Something about that little situation didn’t sit right with her. She didn’t know what it was, but it was something going on between them.
It was no coincidence that they were in the same hospital at damn near five o clock in the morning sitting next to each other. Aaliyah’s ass wasn’t even from here. She was going to make it her business to look into that, but right now she needed to check on Tek. He was the most important. She’d worry about all that other mess later. If Tek’s wounds became fatal, she’d lose her mind.
Chapter 11
“It’s about time you got here. I was starting to think you weren’t coming.” Kara lay back on her bed and pulled the covers back for Tone to get in.
He pulled his shirt off and kicked his boots under the bed. The bed sank beneath his weight as he crawled over to her and laid down. His head was on her breast with his arm thrown across her stomach. His breathing was labored as his body calmed from the day’s events. Kara stroked the top of his head slowly and methodically as he stretched his limbs. A few minutes and a couple of tosses and turns later, Tone was settled and prepared for sleep.
Kara could already tell by the way he was snuggled up against her in a way a baby would snuggle to his mother, that there would be no sex. He was tired. The majority of the time, Tone came in the door freeing himself of his clothing. It was like a ritual, sex like nymphos, shower, eat, then sleep. Occasionally they would repeat that routine a few times in one day. Laying up with Tone was so relaxing. Although she hated to admit it, Kara had fallen for Tone. How fast it happened still surprised her sometimes. Hating him one day, to on the verge of being in love the next was confusing and she didn’t know how to feel about it.
She hadn’t been in a serious relationship in years. Her younger brother, Demarkus, had stayed on her about finding someone, but she hadn’t listened. She’d never found anyone who kept her attention. Although he was younger than her, Demarkus made sure she was straight, so she didn’t really need a man anyway. Oh how she wished she had listened to him now. Their parents had died when they were younger, and it had just been them two for the majority of their life. Unfortunately, all that ended so abruptly, there was no chance for closure or anything.
One day, she woke up and it was all over. No warning, no conversation, no last words. Nothing. Her brother had left, and now all she had was a broken heart. He’d been killed and she missed him terribly. From that day on she knew it was time to move on. Initially letting Tone get this close to her hadn’t been in her plan, but there was nothing she could do about it. She thought about breaking things off with him, but changed her mind every time. At home, Tone was nothing like he was in the streets. There were two totally different sides to this man, and while she hated one, she unwillingly loved the other.
“What you thinking about Kara-Kara?” Tone always said her name twice. Why? She had no idea, but she didn’t mind it.
“How I ended up here, with you of all people.”
“What’s here? And what you mean me of all people? What’s wrong with me?”
“Nothing’s wrong with you, Tone, I’m just saying that I would have never ever i
magined myself falling in love with your rude ass. You’re so mean all the time, I just don’t see how I ended up snagging you for myself.”
Tone scooted lower until his face was eye level with her breasts and moved in closer. As far as his head was pressed into her, you would have thought he couldn’t breathe. He didn’t say anything, he just tightened his grip around her waist, pulling her closer, if that was even possible. Kara assumed he wasn’t going to say anything to her admission of loving him. He never did. Tone wasn’t like most guys she’d dealt with in the past. He didn’t do well with feelings. Getting him to admit to loving her back was probably out of the question. But that was fine. She could feel it. He didn’t have to say a word.
“I used to hear stories about the Zoo Crew all the time, but I never really cared about y’all. Honestly, I hated y’all. For the life of me, I couldn’t understand why people were so afraid of another group of individuals that bled just like they did.” Kara looked down when she felt Tone scoot back some. The look on his face assured her she had better tread lightly. “Tone, I don’t care about that mean ass look you giving me. I ain’t scared of your ass.”
Tone grunted almost as to say she should be.
“Anyways, like I was saying. I didn’t understand the fear that had been placed in the hearts of others.”
“Get to the fucking point, Kara.”
“All I’m saying is that since I’ve been with you, I understand now. You guys are fearless. On top of that, you can be so cold sometimes. I see how you’re able to do the things you do.”
That last statement had Tone scooting all the way back now. Any further he was going off the side of the bed. His face was frowned up and he almost looked insulted. Nervousness set in as Kara watched him watch her. They looked at each other for a while until he pointed his finger in her face. To make matters worse he shook his head.
“What, Tone?”
“I can’t fuck with you.”
Kara’s heart stopped.
“What? Why?”
“No matter how I treat you when it’s just you and me, all you see is the monster I am in the streets. I need a bitch that’s thorough. One that ain’t gon’ judge a nigga the same way everybody else does.” Tone leaned over and started slipping his boots back on his feet.
Kara sat on the bed flabbergasted. That’s not what she meant at all.
“I am thorough. I was trying to tell your ass I see past all that shit now.”
“Fuck you, Kara.”
“Are you serious right now?”
“As a fucking heart attack.”
Tone pulled his shirt back over his body and grabbed his things from the dresser. Kara thought about chasing him, but it wasn’t in her. She’d never ran after a man before, so why would Tone’s ass be any different? As he moved toward the door, her voice finally escaped.
“Tone, get your ass back over here and get back in this bed. You ain’t going nowhere.” Kara hopped from the bed and stood in front of the door.
Tone looked down at her and pushed her out of the way. “Move.”
“No.”
“Stop bullshittin’ and get your ass out my way and back into that bed.”
“Only if you get in it with me.” Kara stepped closer and rubbed his chest.
Tone slapped her hand down. “Get your ass back.”
“Nope. I want you to get back in bed with me. Just hold me for a little while. Rub on my booty or something.” She stepped closer to him again and grabbed his hands, wrapped them around her body and placed them on her butt. She moved them up and down her round ass slowly until she felt him grip it himself. “Please daddy, just fuck me hard so that I can tell you that I love your mean ass.”
Tone’s grip on her ass tightened and she could feel the hardness rising in his pants. He liked that nasty shit.
“I know your cocky ass wants me to beg for the dick. I shouldn’t have to, but I will.”
“All that shit you was just talking, your ass is definitely finna beg for this dick.”
Kara lowered herself to the floor so she was on her knees. She looked up at him and began unbuckling his belt. “Fuck me Tone, please.”
Tone watched her pull his pants down to his ankles.
“Can I have it? Please?”
Once his clothes were down, she stood up and stripped. When she was completely naked, she turned around and leaned over so that her butt was sitting right on his hard dick. She could feel it poking her butt before slipping down and strategically sliding against her wet center. She looked over her shoulder with her bottom lip tucked between her teeth and stared at him.
“Fuck me, Tone. I want to feel that shit in my throat too.” Kara did a slow dance, making her ass clap on his thighs. That shit drove him wild. He was grabbing onto her sides and grinding into her ass. She reached back to grab his dick, but he moved away.
Tone pulled his shirt over his head. “Nah bitch, you about to suck this shit first.”
Kara got super wet. Tone’s lust filled voice was an orgasm all by itself. Not to mention when he called her a bitch. Oh, that was the icing on the cake. Not many women liked to be called out of their name, but she loved that shit. It was like a turn on for a nigga to talk dirty to her. Especially when it was time to fuck.
“Oooohhh, yes daddy. Who’s your favorite?”
“You’re my favorite, baby. Now get on your knees and let me put this dick in your mouth.”
Kara wasted no time dropping to her knees in front of him. She grabbed his shaft and licked her lips. Her mouth swallowed him whole without a second thought. When he grabbed the back of her head and pumped his hips roughly into her mouth, his balls slammed against her chin. Kara moaned loudly while pulling her head back to lick the tip.
“Damn, bitch, you sucking the soul out this muthafucka,”
Kara didn’t say anything, she just kept sucking. After Tone placed one hand on each side of her head to guide her, she squatted on her feet with her legs open and massaged her clit. They held eye contact while she put on a show.
“Yeahhh, you know what daddy likes, don’t you? Your lil’ nasty ass.”
When Kara felt his body stiffening up, she stopped sucking and got off the floor. She switched past him, purposely rubbing her butt against his thigh, and laid on the bed. She spread her legs wide open and held them up in the air. She waited for Tone to turn around before she ran her fingers in her wetness and held them out to him. He walked over and sucked her fingers with no hesitation. Watching him only made her wetter.
“Your pussy taste so fucking good. GOT DAMN A NIGGA LOVE THIS SHIT!” Tone yelled making her laugh. He could be so silly sometimes.
“Tone, you better stop all that damn yelling and get down there and eat this fucking pussy, nigga.”
“Oh, you think you running shit? I got some for your smart mouth ass, and don’t be running when I put my tongue on you.”
“Tone, use your tongue for something other than doing all that damn talking.”
Kara gasped when she felt his mouth on her. His tongue was swirling around in her juices making loud smacking noises. Her back arched off the bed as her hand went to the back of his head. Kara had to hold on to the covers for dear life so she wouldn’t die. Every time Tone gave her head she felt like all of the life she had in her body was leaving and she was floating in thin air. Tingles shot from her stomach down to her inner core and she screamed.
“Damn, Kara-Kara.”
Tone was lapping up every juice that had just escaped from her body. When he was finished, he stood to his feet and slid deep into her valley with no further games. They’d spent enough time teasing each other, Kara was ready to get dicked down like only he could do it. He was beating her body down with every stroke. If she wanted to talk shit to him, she couldn’t. It was that good. Kara wrapped her legs around his waist and held onto his back as he rocked both of their worlds.
The next morning, Tone rolled over to find himself alone in bed. He looked around the room and didn’t s
ee Kara anywhere, but he could smell food. He was out of bed and on his way down the stairs within seconds. Kara’s big round derriere was the first thing he saw when he rounded the corner. She was dressed in nothing but a bra and panties. Her long legs and torso were perfectly sculpted and beautiful just like her. Tone marveled at her body as she stood at the stove. Kara wasn’t your average thick girl. She didn’t have large hips that spread out giving you the illusion that she had a nice sized bottom, she really did. Hers was just different. Versus having wide hips she had small ones that didn’t stick out very far. Kara’s butt stuck straight off of her body. Instead of going across it went out and it drove Tone crazy. Every move she made it would do a double bounce. If it wasn’t obvious enough already, Tone was an ass man and Kara had that on lock.
“Damn, chocolate drop, why you ain’t wake me up?”
“I was going to once I finished cooking.”
“I know your ass is only cooking to take my mind off that slick shit you was saying last night.”
Kara turned around and smiled but didn’t say anything.
“You better have some bacon cooking, or I’ma still put my foot in your ass.”
“First of all, you cocky ass boy, it’s not my fault that you don’t know the difference between somebody expressing their love for your cold ass and them disrespecting your little family. Secondly, I did cook bacon.” Kara rolled her eyes before turning back around.
Tone smirked at her feistiness.
“Come give me a kiss.”
“Hell no.”
“I wasn’t giving you a choice.”
Kara moved the pan of eggs from the stove and made herself comfortable on Tone’s lap. As soon as she sat down, he cupped her sex and bit her neck. She giggled and shifted around in his lap.
“Listen, I know I don’t have to say it for you to know what it is. This right here,” Tone motioned his hand between the two of them, “is all I need right now. The shit we got happened fast, but its solid. You got me and I know damn well I got your ass, no questions asked. Just chill with all that hot shit. You should already know that I’m rocking with you.” Tone’s hand caressed her back as he spoke.
