His Name Is Legion

Pandora moaned, rolling her eyes. “Perfect answer. Come with me, kind sir, and I will give you delights you have only dreamt of. But first, let’s have a little taste of what is to come.”
He began to reach up. “Shall I get your zipper for you? You seem so uncomfortable in those fabrics.”
Pandora giggled loudly. “There is time for that, but first…” She opened one of the boxes of donuts and held it in front of him. “A little taste of heaven from a goddess you will learn to pray to every time I leave.”

AUTHOR NOTES - MICHAEL ANDERLE
APRIL 3, 2019
THANK YOU for not only reading this story but these Author Notes as well.
(I think I’ve been good with always opening with “thank you.” If not, I need to edit the other Author Notes!)
RANDOM (sometimes) THOUGHTS?
So, I play a lot with different stories and different thoughts, and sometimes I want to be involved in something that is fun. Other times I am annoyed with something I sense is wrong.
Mind you, this is my opinion of wrong, not a general consensus, and I want to write about the subject.
A few months ago I was agitated over the injustice (as I see it—once again my personal perspective) of the education system. Not only as a homeowner (Yes, if I pay taxes I want them to go to the local school that is educating my child) but also from a higher vantage point, looking at what is good for humanity.
And I found it a bit lacking.
I tend to think about the future. No big surprise. Since I cut my teeth writing science fiction, you might expect that from me.
Witch of the Federation is one of the latest projects I have created, and it tells the story of the Federation’s first witch.
And how she came about.
I pull from Earth’s myths the tiniest bit and stretch a concept into the future, where the Earth has had some hard weather patterns that messed up society, but we’ve also been visited by aliens.
Aliens with magic.
Add in another race of aliens, and we have a Federation.
Our (eventual) hero is a genius, but she doesn’t know it. The school system that is supposed to support someone of her caliber without financial means to go to a university is corrupt.
She ends up tested by the AI that runs the Virtual World (the area most advanced students use for post-secondary education.) When she isn’t chosen to go to a university under a scholarship system the government has in place, things start to change.
And now, an AI is involved outside of his Virtual World programming.
It was only slightly shocking to me that the huge scandals rocking the university admissions process across the United States exploded two days (I think) before this book was released.
Dammit, I missed a perfect marketing opportunity! Hope you pick it up anyway.
NOTE: This book is about 3 times the size of a normal WOTA (or PBTD) book.

AROUND THE WORLD IN 80 DAYS
One of the interesting (at least to me) aspects of my life is the ability to work from anywhere and at any time. In the future, I hope to re-read my own Author Notes and remember my life as a diary entry.
Maestro’s underneath The Cave in the Sky (™), Las Vegas, NV
So, I’m hanging having dinner at the back table in the bar area at Maestro’s. (Should you ever come here to eat, just tell them it’s the table by itself off in the corner.) I’m not allowing myself to have the dinner order go to the kitchen until I’m done with these Author Notes and the blurb for this book.
It’s a bit of an incentive. Not too much, since I’ve just had warm sourdough bread and fresh butter.
‘Cause, priorities. (And cheating…I was famished.)
It’s Wednesday night, and the bar has a few people hanging out chatting (they look like a business group) and one small group dining in the bar area already.
I’m supposed to be on a diet campaign that Craig Martelle (whom I’m going to nickname HE WHO HATES ME) is pushing.
So far, I’ve only been able to cut out most of my Coca-Cola consumption. It’s a start, but I’m not dropping the weight like I thought I would after cutting out all the extra calories.
So, either the Splenda is adding calories to my tea…
Or the idea that Coke is causing weight gain is a damned lie.
I’m so very tempted to believe it’s a lie.
