Epic Testament

That night around midnight there was a sound that closely resembled a plane landing. Flashes of white light surrounded the house. Then, there was a knock at the door. Victor opened it, but was frozen in awe of the sight. God had sent his angels to us.
To think this was only a glimpse of what Heaven would be like. Their presence was beyond anything I had ever seen before; beyond belief. I have felt the power of their presence inside me before. I have even seen them ascend back to Heaven. But never have I stood face to face with them.
Even though it seemed like they dimmed themselves for our encounter, it was still hard to look upon them. They towered above us like giants, but decreased their size to enter the house. Their white muscular bodies closely resemble the white color of a glow stick. Their eyes, a color of blue I have never seen before, closely resemble an ice blue. There was no hair on their heads or their bodies. The bone structure in their faces was stern, resembling a military stance. Yet, I did not fear their presence. If anything, I was drawn to it, like I am drawn to God.
We all waited anxiously to hear God’s message for us. The angels started to speak, but were interrupted. It seemed we were not the only ones aware of the angel’s presence.
The house was surrounded by men pounding on the walls, doors and windows. They were demanding we send the angels out.
“Hesna requests the presence of the men who have come for your visit.” One of the men yelled through the door.
Victor, who had now shaken his awe, went outdoors to reason with the men. When he opened the door, some of the men caught a glimpse of the angels. They must not have seen them very clearly before because now the plight was forged with different motives.
“Please return home to your wives or take a prostitute if you so desire, but leave these men of God alone. Do not commit such a grave sin against the Lord.” We could hear Victor as he tried so very hard to sway the men.
Instead, they grew more and more violent. “You don’t know us. Now that your foreign brothers are here you think you are better than us. You have no right to judge us! Just give us the men and we will leave you. We have orders to bring them to Hesna.”
It was apparent to all of us that if given the opportunity, the men would bring the angel’s to Hesna. However, they would probably indulge themselves first.
The thought sent me into a heavy prayer asking God to spare them and forgive their actions. Suddenly, I felt sorry for the men. I could see that they had allowed themselves to be under the complete control of Satan. It happens so unexpectantly. All he needs is a crack, one area where you are shaky and he can move in. Before you know it, you are making excuses. Then, you don’t feel the need to excuse yourself, because you no longer know the difference between right and wrong.
This must be how Jesus felt when he watched those men full of such hate and destruction torture and crucify him. This must be why He asked God to forgive them for they knew not what they did. It is true, once you allow Satan to take over, you can’t comprehend the extent of your actions. You become so absorbed with self and selfish motives. You are but a puppet. The sad thing is you don’t even know that you have fallen, so you can’t get up. God’s pleasure comes from our loving and helping others. The devil’s pleasure comes from you helping and loving yourself. He thrives on being just the opposite of God in every way. When God says help, the devil says hurt. Love turns to hate. Cherish turns to defile. Natural turns to perversion. I can see it so clearly now. He wasn’t asking so much for forgiveness for their actions, but pleading that God would consider whose control they operated under.
“We will not leave until we get what we came for,” the men chanted.
“Remember what happened to the men of Sodom,” Victor pleaded.
A lamp flew through the window. Fire caught and attempted to spread. The angels had seen and heard enough. They put the fire out with a simple blow. Then the banging stopped. The men were all stumbling about from the blindness cast upon them from the angels. Just like in the Bible with the men of Sodom.
“Please forgive them for they know not what they do,” I asked of them.
“It is not with them our concern lays. God has noticed all that has taken place and He is not pleased. He will destroy this land. He sent us to help you rescue your daughter, as well as, to aid in Hesna’s defeat. We think it best, considering all the confusion, not to fight Hesna in our native form. Therefore, we will use your bodies. Our presence will give you strength beyond measure, speed and power. You should have everything you need to defeat Hesna. We can only inhabit you if your body is pure in thought and intention. Also, God will provide an escape for you and the people who chose to serve him. You do not have much time to get your daughter and leave before the destruction begins. You must not tarry. Once God begins to destroy the village, you must leave. There is no way to anticipate what Hesna’s move will be. Obedience is better than sacrifice. Go to Hesna’s house at daybreak. We will meet you there and get your daughter back. Once your daughter is safe, she too will have an angel. Her angel will not be as strong as yours because her faith level isn’t as strong as yours. We cannot take you to a skill level beyond where your faith lies. You must explain to her what I have just told you.”
