“More interested in taking yours off right now.” Jasper leaned over, pressing his hands on either side of her head and crashing his lips down on her, sending Kellie onto her back. This man was so damn unpredictable. Just when she thought she had him figured out, he turned alpha on her.

She wedged her hand in between their bodies. If she could just get closer to the zipper, she’d get what she wanted. Kellie’s eyes sprang open when Jasper’s weight was suddenly gone. He rested his knee in between her legs and leaned forward, unsnapping her jeans and slowly lowering her zipper. His hands gripped the hem of the waist and yanked it down, taking her panties along with it. She lay completely bottomless, staring up at him. There was something different about him. Another side to Jasper. He was a little rawer and domineering. She considered pulling away just to see what he’d do.

His hands glided up her thighs, sending shivers over her skin. His thumbs caressed along her inner thigh, creeping up, so damn close to her pussy she sucked in a breath. It was a tease—maybe he was trying to gauge how badly she wanted him. His hand slipped up to her shirt, tugging at the hem. Before she could make a move to take it off, it was being pulled over her head while she was still lying down. He seemed almost as eager as she felt.

He covered her body. His lips missed hers and dove against her neck, sucking at the skin as he reached her collarbone. She circled her arms around his back, pulling him closer to her. Her hand gripped his shirt, raising it up his back to feel his skin. She traced her fingers over his knotted muscles.

He trailed kisses down her chest. When he reached her breast, his hands gripped the straps of her bra and ripped them down, exposing her breasts. The cool air was brief before his warm mouth covered her nipple, sucking in a strong pull and laving his tongue over the hardened bead.

She moaned and grasped the hair at his neck.

There was no doubt Jasper knew what he was doing. His tongue flickered over her nipple, sending a shivering shock to her core. Her body was like an electric force, tingling everywhere. He slid down farther to her stomach, spreading kisses along his path. The anticipation was almost too much to take, and her hips swiveled in a plea. Lower, lower, lower. Her legs spread open, and his lips landed on her inner thigh.

A rumbling groan was the only warning she had before his mouth was directly on her pussy. Kellie jolted when his tongue swiped over her clit. She gripped the bed sheets and drew in a harsh breath. She knew a few women who didn’t care for men going down on them. They were insane. If done right, and Jasper was doing it right, it was amazing. His hands tightened around her hips, keeping her in place as he continued to work his tongue over the most sensitive part of her body. Releasing the sheets, she moved her hand to cover his.

It was another plea. Don’t stop. He was giving no indication it was over. His fingers curled into hers. Her breathing intensified, and her hips surged forward. He was hitting the exact spot that was building up to an orgasm.

“Jas…” Her voice faded as she drew in a deep breath and gritted her teeth. She’d never come this quick with any man. Her entire body trembled, and her head dug deep into the pillow. She came with a sharp flicker over her clit, and her body quivered. Her release spanned her entire body like an electric shock.

She moaned incoherently before sinking back into the mattress. Jasper slithered up her body, pressing kisses to her moist skin. She didn’t even have the energy to open her eyes. A soft kiss landed on her neck and then trailed to her lips.

His weight lifted, and she peeked to see him standing next to the bed, yanking off his shirt and opening the side table drawer. He pulled out a condom.

She immediately reached out, taking it from his hands. “I’ll do it.”

The corner of his mouth curled as he handed it to her and went for the snap on his jeans. His striptease didn’t last long enough. She could have spent the next hour just watching him undress. His jeans dropped to the floor, and her gaze went straight to his cock jutting out toward her. He was bigger than most, and in the most un-lady-like move, she licked her lips.

She propped herself up, ripping open the condom and tossing the wrapper on the floor. Kellie slowly got to her knees. Her hands trembled slightly.

“I can do it.” He must have seen her hands.

She glanced up. “Afraid I’ll do it wrong?”

“No, I’m afraid I’m embarrass myself the second your hand touches me.”

Kellie chuckled and reached forward, putting on the condom. “We can’t have that, Jasper.”

She rolled the condom down his shaft, and he gasped, sucking a breath in.

His lips landed on hers, sending her back down to the bed, his body covering her like a blanket. She angled her hands around his waist, her fingers driving into the curve of his muscled back.

His cock rubbed against her pussy, giving her the aftershock of her recent orgasm and setting her up for another one. He lined up against her core, entering her slowly. Too damn slow. She lifted her hips—she wanted him inside her. He was either not taking her hint or was completely disregarding it. He gently pushed inside, stretching her walls.

  She moaned.

Jasper slid in and out of her body, the friction so amazing. He rested his head on her shoulder, spreading kisses along her neck. The slow fuck was underrated, she was realizing. Most men got in, and it was almost like a race to the finish. Not all, but most. Jasper was the polar opposite, taking his time, stroking into her fully and slowly pulling out, causing a friction that sent shivers over her body.

She hooked her legs around his waist, digging her heels into his ass.

His lips skimmed her ear, and his warm breath wafted her neck. “You feel so good.” He groaned a soft rumble and whispered, “Like you were made just for me.”

She craned her neck, facing him and kissed his lips. “I was.”

His hips shifted forward and fully seated inside her, rubbing against her spot and causing an intense spark, like a stroke of lightning through her body. His pace didn’t speed up, but everything between them intensified. His lips opened to her, stroking her tongue with his.

She had imagined what it would be like to be with Jasper, but never had it been so good and so strong in their connection. This was more than just sex; this was them. He pulled out just enough to glide back in, making her desperate for more. She gripped his back, pulling him deeper.

  “Don’t stop.”

He groaned against her lips and leaned to his side, taking her with him, until he was on his back and she was straddling his legs. He never broke away from their kiss. His hands spanned over her back, draping down to her waist. She smiled against his lips.

“You want to evaluate my riding skills again.”

Jasper snickered, turning his head. His eyes were glazed over in complete relaxation. Nothing sexier than knowing she put that look on his face.

“Only woman alive who could make me laugh during sex would be you.”

She pressed her palms against his chest and sat up on top of him. She eased down fully on his cock. “I’ll take the title, but I was hoping for another one.”

“Which would be?” He glanced down at her breasts and his eyes heated. The palms of his hands traveled along her stomach and up her chest. His light caress, brushing his knuckled under her breasts, was driving her wild. It was almost a tease. She couldn’t recall a man ever taking his time and making her burn the way Jasper did. She hadn’t even realized she was holding her breath until his hands covered her breasts and she exhaled. The harsh pads of his fingertips stroked her nipples. God, it feels good.

  “Best lover.”

His eyes shifted up to her, and he smirked. “Darlin’, you are.”

She moved over his dick, sliding up to the crown of his cock and descending slowly, watching his eyes intensify. “Not gonna make me work for it?”

His lips parted, releasing a heavy breath. “You do it without trying.”

“Then maybe I should try harder.”

  “You
do, and this will be over before I’m ready for it to end.”

She gripped his chest and stroked his cock, tightening her walls on the downward shift. Her head dropped back on her neck, feeling every inch of his length spread her pussy. His fingers squeezed her nipple just hard enough to make her gasp.

She was completely lost, her eyes shut, and just feeling. She wasn’t ready for what came next. His arms dropped away from her breast, wrapping around her waist, and he flipped her onto her back with one quick move. Her eyes opened, and she gasped when he pounded inside her. Her hands gripped his back, and she hugged him close.

Slow was over, she realized, as Jasper stroked deeper and faster inside her, sending her breathing over the top. Her legs tightened around him. She was so close to coming. She bit down on his shoulder, and he thrust harder inside her.

Her orgasm surprised her with the harsh stroke. His body tensed, and he pulsed inside her. His hips shifted slowly against her as she rode the last of her orgasm. Best sex of her life.

Kellie was pretty sure if she died at this moment, it would be fine.

His weight came down on her as he relaxed against her body and they lay in silence, just the sound of their pants filling the room.

  Perfect.

Her body was draped over his chest, her leg coiled with his. His breath had finally calmed to an even pulse. His finger twisted in her hair, wrapping a strand around it. Being with her in his bed, lying together, felt so natural. Usually, in the aftermath, cuddling was done as an obligation, the right thing to do. Kicking women out of his bed after sex wasn’t something he’d ever do, but he never had the strong desire to remain in bed. Until now.

Kellie turned her head from resting on his chest, pressing her lips over his heart. She peered up with a lazy smile. His hand unraveled from her hair and glided over her cheek. She closed her eyes as if his hand was soothing her. He wanted her eyes on him again.

Her eyes popped open and widened when her stomach growled, rumbling against his ribs. Jasper burst out laughing. She groaned, dropping her face into his chest.

  “Hungry?”

“Lying would be pointless at the moment.”

“Yeah, it would. Come on, let’s get you fed.” Jasper pushed up from his back, and Kellie straddled his hips in a quick move, pushing on his shoulders. She came down for a kiss, sending him back into the mattress. He wrapped his hands around her back, gliding down to her ass. Her tongue swiped over his lips.

Kissing her was almost as good as being inside her. Almost. The effect she had on him was like a drug. He could feel himself harden, and she slid over his cock with her pussy, the moisture drenching his length. He deepened the kiss, devouring her. Kellie shifted, and he knew what she was doing. The condoms were on the nightstand, the same direction she was headed.

As if on cue, her stomach growled again. His lips spread, breaking their kiss, and he chuckled. She dropped her face into the curve of his neck.

  “Well, that’s a mood killer.”

  “It’s a reminder. I gotta feed ya.”

She lifted her head, giving him the sweetest pout he’d ever seen. “I’m not really hungry.”

“Your body is telling me different. Come on.” He leaned in for a quick kiss and then angled her up and off his lap. He got up from the bed, walking over to his dresser and pulling a pair of boxers out. He grabbed a shirt from the lower drawer and turned, prepared to offer it to Kellie. She had grabbed the shirt he was wearing earlier. She slipped her arms through the sleeves and buttoned it, leaving the top two undone.

  “Stealing my clothes?”

She glanced up and smirked. “You mind?”

Jasper put on his boxers and walked over. “No, as long as it’s a clean shirt. Don’t want you smelling like my sweat.”

She inched up on her toes, kissing him. He resisted the urge to wrap his hands around her. Her fingers intertwined with his, but he pulled away when her tongue poked out. She needed to eat.

“Come on, you need your energy.”

“You plan on wearing me out again?”

He wasn’t. His plan was to come back to bed and fall asleep with her wrapped in his arms. He pulled her out of his room and downstairs to the kitchen. His hand released hers, and he flicked on the lights. He hadn’t been shopping in a while. Mostly, he stocked his fridge on a needed basis. He opened the door and stared in the barren icebox.

Her arms wrapped around him from the back, clasping his stomach. Her fingers caressed his abs. He glanced over his shoulder to find her peeking around in the fridge.

  “I can make omelets.”

  “You wanna cook?”

She gazed up. “Yeah. It’s slim pickings, but I can do cheese.” She unwound her hands and slithered in front of him. “Do you have onions?”

“Out back. I’ll grab them.” He headed to the mudroom and heard her whisper.

  “No spinach, too bad.”

He looked over, but she was still standing with her head in the fridge. He went through the door and slipped into his boots and jacket before heading down to the barn. He grabbed what he needed and double-timed it back to his house.

When he came through the door, she peeked her head into the mudroom.

  “Where’d you go?”

He held up the bushel and watched the smile spread across her face, and then she gazed up at him.

He shrugged. “It’s a ranch, darlin’, spinach I can get ya.”

She stepped into him and threw her hands over his shoulders, squeezing him against her chest tightly.

  “It’s just spinach.”

She turned her head, kissing his cheek. “It’s more than that.” Her smile was infectious, and while he didn’t see anything more than the spinach being something she wanted, so he got it, it obviously meant something to her. Women were strange, and he wouldn’t question it.

Kellie wandered around his kitchen making him breakfast. It’d been a long time since a woman had cooked for him besides his mother. Jasper sat at the table, watching her bare legs. He shook his head and started to clear the table.

“What’s all that?” she asked, standing at the stove.

  “Fundraiser paperwork.”

She shifted around and cocked her head to the side. “The hospital thing you guys do each year?”

It was Jasper’s turn to be shocked. “You know about it?”

Kellie smiled. “Sure, who doesn’t? I mean, I don’t know the details.”

“The children’s hospital up in Butte does a fundraiser. We supply some animals for the kids’ petting zoo. Been doing it every year for the past twenty years. Grey and I take turns with heading it up. As you can see,” he nodded toward the table, “this year it’s my turn.”

  “What about Tripp?”

  “What about him?”

“Well, when is it his turn?”

Jasper snorted. “Never. This is important. The last thing we need is for Tripp to mess this up.”

“But isn’t he the reason you started this from the beginning?”

“Yeah, but there’s a lot of things involved.”

“You ever ask him if he wanted to do it?”

Jasper stopped gathering the sheets of paper and looked up at Kellie. Her face paled, and she clamped her lips shut. “Sorry, none of my business.” She turned around, facing the stove.

Jasper walked up behind her, wrapping his arms around her stomach. His chin resting on her shoulder. “My business is your business. You can ask me, Kellie. Not much I won’t share with you.”

She snuggled in closer with her back to his chest. “Really?”

Jasper loved when she was like this, surprised and sweet. “Really.”

Kellie grinned, reaching up for a kiss and then focusing back on the omelets, which looked and smelled delicious. He had to pull himself away from her. He walked back to the table and continued clearing the papers, stacking them onto the counter.

Usually, the fundraiser wasn’t a hassle, but his
mind was clouded with Kellie and his desire to spend more time with her. It was hard enough with their conflicting schedules.

  “Plates?”

Jasper reached above to the cabinet, pulling down two and handing them to Kellie. He didn’t miss the humor in her eyes when she grabbed them.

  “My mom got them.”

Kellie lifted her brow and giggled. “I figured. No way a man like you walked into a store and picked out this pattern. No offense.”

“None taken, I’m pretty sure it was a compliment.”

His mother had given him a dish set as a housewarming when the completion of his home was done. The purple and yellow lily pattern wouldn’t have been his first choice, but his mother was determined to add color to his very neutral house. He didn’t care what he ate off.

Kellie took a seat, and Jasper sat across from her. One bite and he was in heaven. He hadn’t given much thought to Kellie’s domestic abilities, but she sure could cook. He took two more bites before remembering his manners.

  “This is really good.”

Kellie gleamed. “Well, thank you, I’m glad you like it. I love cooking but don’t get much chance with my schedule. Besides cooking for one isn’t as much fun as cooking for others.”

“You can cook for me anytime.”

“I’ll remember that.” She winked and took a bite of her own. Jasper watched the fork slide between her lips and bit back his own groan. His mind shot back to where her lips were earlier in the day.

“So, the fundraiser, tell me more.”

Jasper wiped his mouth. “My mom and dad started it years back. The hospital had been really good to them and Tripp, and it was their way of giving back. We have our own BBQ here at the ranch, raise some money locally. Then in a few months, we travel to Butte with two trailers full of animals and set up in the parking lot. We aren’t the only vendors, but we are the kids’ favorite.”

Jasper took another bite and watched Kellie smile. God, she was beautiful.

“I remember Tripp being real sick. It must have been hard on all of you.”

Jasper tightened his lips and stared down at his plate. It was hardest on Tripp and his parents, but Grey and Jasper weren’t immune to the pain felt by the whole family. Doctors were honest when they said they it would be a hard road ahead of them. Tripp’s illness took a toll on them as a family. His mother remained strong, but Jasper could still hear her cries late at night when he was little. She always put on a brave front for the family and silently carried the pain and fear of losing him. His dad was stoic as always. Not much seemed to faze his dad. Tripp was sick, but he would get better. Those were his exact words he spoke to Jasper and Grey when they were told. Jasper never doubted his dad until he stumbled into the barn after school and caught sight of his father crying in the barn. The first and last time he ever saw his dad shed a tear.
