Lucky Between the Sheets: An Anthology of Stories that Get to the Point
Page 83
Waking with a start, I realize I’m completely soaked in sweat and extremely turned on. I can still feel the feather light touches on my skin.
Holy Banana Pancakes! Did I just dream all that?
I’ve had some wet dreams in my time, but holy hell, nothing like that. I don’t think Eddie will do those men justice, but I need to get off after a dream like that. Yes, I named my toy Eddie instead of Bob. Everyone names their toys Bob and I want him to be special. I mean, he is my main guy these days.
I turn over and reach under my pillow for Eddie. I kick my sheet off my body and slide my soaked panties down my thighs, throwing them aside. I lay back on my pillow and run Eddie down my body as I spread my legs. I remembered the way sexy 1’s lips felt on my neck, while sexy 2’s lips were dominating mine. I think about the hands that were making their way up my legs and my mind takes it from there. I slip Eddie between my folds and up inside me while I imagine man 3 kissing up the same trail his hands made. I moan as I turn on Eddie and I feel the vibrations throughout my body, wishing I could still feel those kisses, wondering what man 3's mouth would feel like, while I bring my other hand up to massage and tweak my breast.
I move Eddie slowly in and out, my pussy squeezing around him as I move my hips in time with my hand. Pleasure starts to coil low, spreading throughout my body, wanting to erupt. I position Eddie so that with every pump of my hand, the buzzing hits my clit. I do it with just enough pressure that I feel myself push over the edge and begin to orgasm. I let it roll over my entire body.
Sighing, I feel my body start to relax, and I pull Eddie out and stand him on my nightstand to clean. As soon as I feel like my legs will work, I'll get up and do that. I can always rely on Eddie to get the job done when I need some release, but I can't help but feel a little disappointed. I find myself wondering where that dream had come from, and if I would have it again. I hope I does - I could get used to that.
Until next time, sexy men, until next time.

After my incredible dream and time with Eddie, I toss and turn the rest of the night. When light starts peeking in my window, I know I’m not getting any more sleep. I roll my body literally out of bed, until I’m in an L shape. My feet land on the floor, while my upper body is still on the bed. Taking a deep breath, I kick myself into gear and stand up, making a beeline for the kitchen.
Wincing at the light coming through the kitchen window, I head straight for the coffee machine. On auto-pilot, I go through the motions of getting my coffee machine ready to brew life into my veins. I live in a little one-bedroom cottage, down the road from Grams.
My parents died in a car accident when I was eighteen and left me this little place. And over the past six years I've made it my own, with a few little quirks I inherited from Grams. I've got a whimsical, woodsy feel going on in my house, with my coffee table as the focal point and one of my most prized possessions. Being made from an old oak tree, it has shelves on either side that hold my small but precious book collection. I may or may not have a collection of erotic novels tucked in there. I need something to help me get in the mood with Eddie sometimes.
Shaking my head, I walk back over to the coffee pot and pour some into my favorite mug of the day. It’s green with a pot of gold underneath a rainbow, which is fitting for this morning. Today is special day - it's the day of Ádh mór oraibh. Basically, it’s a day we celebrate and do all the things to bring us good luck for the year.
My Grams, Gemma, and I have some quirky traditions we do on this day every year, starting with drinking my coffee from this mug. A few others are dressing in black and green from head to toe, pinching each other, finding a black cat, wearing our stockings inside out and last but not least, going to our little town’s pub and getting pennies for kisses. These are all believed to bring you good luck for the year, so we try to do as many as possible. That and it's always fun to see how many pennies we take home at the end of night.
I take the first sip and feel it in the depths of my soul. Walking back toward my room, I take another sip and start to get ready for the day’s shenanigans.
I pull out my black stockings, green skirt, black tank top and black knee-high boots. Then I grab my black bra and green undies and head into my bathroom to take a shower. Placing my clothes on the counter, I turn around, lean over, and turn it on. Once I close the curtain, I strip down, throw my clothes into the hamper by my toilet, move around the curtain, and step under the water.
As I stand underneath the spray, the skin on the back of my neck starts to tingle. I had completely forgotten about the mark. The sensation moves down my neck, across my breasts, until it feels like it is circling my nipples, shooting a pulsing need straight to my core. I gasp at the feeling, and it disappears just as fast as it came, leaving me weak in the knees.
Closing my eyes, I compose myself, taking deep breaths to get my libido under control. I turn off the water and reach out for my towel hanging on the wall. I get out of the shower, dry off in a hurry, and then get dressed. I put on a little bit of light makeup for the day: foundation, mascara and a little shimmer for my lips, and I'm ready to head to Grams. I pick up my purse, grab the bag with some ingredients I had bought the night before, then my jacket, and head out the front door.
Locking the door behind me, I take off in the direction of Grams’s. Ever since the shower, I've become super aware that the mark is giving off these little pulsing sensations. Not uncomfortable, but more of a warming sensation that's wrapping itself around my body. I don't know why, but it feels like home. There's no other way to describe it. I must remember to ask Grams about this mark again. Maybe if I tell her part of my dream, keeping out the steamy bits, she'll know and hopefully tell me what's going on. Without giving me one of her knowing looks and quirky puzzles to figure out myself. I may love board puzzles but not her puzzled mysteries.

I can see Gemma's already at my Grams’s as I make my way toward her house, because her bright yellow bicycle is sitting on the front porch next to the door. Gemma and I love to either walk or ride our bicycles everywhere. We grew up chasing rainbows together and still to this day love to be outside, more than indoors. Not only that, but there's no need for cars when you can get from one side of town to the other in thirty minutes by bike.
As I open the front door to Grams’s, I get a whiff of the most glorious smell.
"Grams, Gem, I'm here," I call out, closing the door behind me and taking off my boots to leave by the door. Grams hates when I track stuff through her house.
"In here, child," Grams yells out from the kitchen.
Boy, do I hope she’s making her famous chocolate truffles. I make my way down the hall that is filled with pictures of my parents and me growing up, before the accident. I stop for a moment to place a kiss on the last photo we took together and then step into the kitchen.
Gemma’s sitting down at the square table that sits in front of the double French doors leading out to the back yard. She hops up and comes rushing over to engulf me in one of her best friend hugs, the kind that wraps me in peace and leaves a smile on my face.
"Girl, it's about time you got here. I've been keeping Grams company for the past hour." She chuckles, as she backs away and goes to sit back down.
"You know you love my company, child, don't pretend otherwise," Grams retorts, going over to the oven to pull out those delicious-smelling truffles. I go to reach for one, but she smacks my hand.
“Aideen McGuire, you know better than to touch food on my table before a blessing,” she scolds. “Now you can do the honors.”
Bowing my head sheepishly, I close my eyes and say the blessing we came up with when I was little.
“May the sun always shine, may the rainbows always come, may we always love each other and never forget. Yesterday is gone, tomorrow’s not done, may we live in today and may luck find a way.”
This blessing may not make sense, but I wrote it down when I was eight and demanded we use it tha
t year; it's kind of stuck ever since. Once we're done, we fill our plates and chat about the day.
I’ve just stuck a mouth full of boxty in my mouth when my neck starts to feel tingly again. I grab my glass of milk and take a quick sip, as I close my eyes.
"You okay, Aideen?" Gemma asks, touching my arm. Opening my eyes, I see the touch of worry in hers.
"I honestly don't know," I reply before taking another sip of my milk.
"Grams, what's so special about the mark on my neck?" I ask, looking over to her. She gets that mischievous twinkle in her eye and gets up to put her plate in the sink.
"Grams! I know that look! What’s going on?"
I'm seriously close to throwing my spoon at her when she turns around and with laughter in her voice, tells me, "Girlie, you have always been a special child and meant for more. You always loved chasing those rainbows and I always told you there was a destiny in your desires and the rainbow would show you the way. Life's about to get very interesting for you, my dear."
And with that she walks out of the kitchen, leaving me with more questions than answers.

"What did you expect from Grams? She tends to give us answers without actually answering our questions. Remember when you asked her where babies came from?" Gemma asks, as we gather our things and walk to the back bedroom.
"I remember, and I also remember thinking babies came from kissing for the longest time because of it, and you always laughing when I couldn't even look at two people kissing." I swat at my best friend, and she quickly moves out of the way to dodge it. We take off our stockings and turn them inside out, marking the beginning of our adventurous day.
After a few laughs at my expense, for telling my best friend about my sexy, mysterious, shadow men, she concludes I need to get laid tonight so that I won't have another “dry year”, as she calls it. Once we have our clothing situated, we make our way to the front door where Grams is waiting for us. We're all decked out in black and green, and we give each other a good pinch to keep the bad luck at bay.
First up, we make our way to the animal shelter. I know it's cheating, but instead of just walking around and praying we find a black cat, which we have done in the past, we sometimes go and hope there’s one at the shelter instead. Other cats need love too, and we hope to rub some of our luck onto them. We take a shortcut across the field next to Grams’s house to get to the shelter. As we walk around to the front door, I go to open it, but someone is coming out. The door swings out and BAM hits me in the head.
"Ouch! What the hell!" I yell as I fall backward, very ungracefully, on my ass.
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry. Are you okay?" comes an unfamiliar voice, accompanied by a stranger’s hand in my face. I look up to see the most gorgeous smile attached to a very sexy man. This man has a carrot top, wavy red hair; sun-kissed, tanned skin, and a five o'clock shadow that dusts his angular jawline. His very green eyes are looking at me with sincere worry in them, so I reach up, placing my smaller hand in his.
The moment our hands touch, I feel a spark travel up my arm to the mark on my neck, and it starts to burn, making me gasp in surprise. I close my eyes, and I swear I can feel sexy man 1 from my dreams. Opening them, I pull my hand from his and begin rub the back of my neck. He looks at me with a look of confusion, which switches to stark surprise before my eyes. It'd almost be funny if my ass didn't still hurt from the fall.
I move to stand up and dust myself off, and when I look up, he's gone. I turn in a complete circle to search around me, but he's just disappeared.
Damn, he was hot.
I grab my purse off the ground, and when I move to the door, Gemma’s standing there, watching me with an amused look on her face.
"Only you would run into a hot guy and fall on your ass the day of Ádh mór oraibh." She shakes her head, laughing, and heads inside.
Walking inside behind her, I make a beeline for the cat area. I feel flush and I'm hoping finding a black cat will wipe away whatever back luck has attached itself to me today.

After spending a few hours playing, feeding, and grooming the cats, one of which took a crazy liking to me by following me around everywhere, we leave with the promise to come back next weekend. I walk out of the designated cat area to see my Grams sitting in a chair with a green-eyed, beautiful black cat in her lap. I must have looked surprised because before I can say anything, she’s got that look in her eye.
"I saw this little fella following you around and thought it must be meant to be. Now you’ve just got to name him, and you'll have a new friend for life." She gets up and hands me said cat and proceeds to walk out the door.
I know it's a day to celebrate luck but goodness, could it get any weirder?

After grabbing a small bag of cat food, a few cat toys that look like mice, and a small cathouse, we head to my house to drop Mr. Shadow off. Turns out I don't have to carry him the whole way. Gemma thought it'd be a good idea to see if he'd follow me home like he followed me around at the shelter, and she was right. Weird but kind of cool - I have my own little shadow, which is how I came up with his name.

Now, it's time to make our way to the Iron Horse. It's located in the center of town, with a giant horseshoe on the sign with the pub’s name on it. Around the windows of the front porch and door of the pub there are horseshoes that cover the sides and tops of the frames, which is how it got its name. The owner adds a new one every year.
As we walk through the doors, the scent of cinnamon and smoke lingers in the air with a light smell of earth. I don't know why or how to explain what earth smells like, but it's always been a happy smell to me. That is probably what Mrs. Crowe is going for. She's a short, white-haired sprite of a woman. She wears thick, black, circular glasses and has a very robust and vivacious air about her, with a heart of gold underneath it all. She's owned the Iron Horse for as long as anyone can remember. I swear she'll be around long into the future.
The pub has two floors. Downstairs is where the main bar is, and it takes up the majority of the back wall. Scattered tables with chairs and a few booths to make up the bottom floor, and it’s decorated with more horseshoes and clovers all over the wall with little candle chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The upstairs consists of the pool tables and dartboards, with that same decor that litters the downstairs, and the whole place has a wood finish to it. Outside, a band is playing some upbeat folk music.
The party is in full swing, and I've already been pinched more than a few times, with a handful of pennies to show for my kisses, all from making our way to the bar. Grams heads over to the table with a bunch of ladies her age gathered around it. We’ve dubbed it ”the elders’” table. But don't let their age fool you - they gossip just as much, if not more, than schoolgirls. I bet that's why Grams gets along with them so well.
Gemma and I grab an available barstool that's just been vacated, and I lean over the bar to grab the bartender's attention. "What can I get you fine ladies this evening?" he asks while wiping the bar top off in front of us and laying down some napkins.
"One whiskey sour and a whiskey twist," Gemma pipes up before I get a chance to, pinching me with a smile. "I know you like your drinks a little sweet, girl, I got you."
"You like them just as sweet as I do, you little tramp, you just think the bar keep’s hot and want to impress him." I pinch her back just as the bartender brings our drinks over and places them in front of us.
I grab mine just as Gemma leans over the bar, grabs his suspender and whispers something in his ear. He gives her a smirk before a quick kiss and a penny.
"Why, you little harlot." I smile over the top of my glass
"At least I'm getting some. How's Eddie treating you these days?" She retorts with a snort and then downs her drink.
I'm about to remark with what I think is a fantastic comeback, when all the sudden the mark on my neck starts to get warm,
and I feel like I'm being watched. Not in a creepy way, but in a way that makes me feel like I'm being undressed with their eyes and weirdly enough, I feel extremely turned on. I rub my legs together and look around to see if I can find the source. I almost miss him, but in the shadows directly across from me is a pair of green eyes, watching me. I can barely see the outline of who it is. All I can tell is that he's a tall man with red hair. Beyond that, he blends in with the shadows around him, but if looks could burn, I'd be swallowed in flames right now. The more I look in this stranger’s eyes, the more my mark heats, sending shivers down my spine, almost like fingertips. I blink and he's gone. I look around but don't find those eyes again.
Strange.

Gemma and I part ways from the bar and go to collect our penny kisses. We have a little competition going. Winner with the least pennies buys breakfast.
"Don't forget to use your lipstick and stay away from Stan, remember he gets a little too touchy," Gemma says, and with a wink she's off. I make my way outside and the kisses and pennies keep coming. There are tons of people out on the patio, and most of the guys out here are covered in lipstick kisses. All of us ladies collect the pennies, and the gentlemen collect the kisses.
I grab another drink from the outside bar, and I'm swaying to the music as I feel the sensation of being watched again. This time, my mark sends a shot straight to my clit and I have to stop myself from moaning out loud. I almost drop my drink and have to prop myself on the wall to stop from falling. I feel like someone is rubbing it in small little gentle circles and holy hell, my body wants more. My pussy is pulsing with need, and my mark is burning, almost fueling whatever is going on with my body.
