Kalina leaned her head back and inhaled, letting the blue mist enter her, and as she did she felt sparks, like static down her throat and into her chest. It filled her body and reached deep into her core.

“Do you feel it?” she asked Rafe.

“I feel something,” he said. “When I breathe. It…it feels so strange.”

“Allow it inside you,” she told him. “It comes from the fire. Look.”

He turned his head toward the campfire at the center and they both watched as blue embers drifted from the fiery flames and what should have been smoke wasn’t grey and rolling but was blue and lifting from the fiery wisps in waves, filling the tent. Seeing the fire made her hornier. It wasn’t sex that filled her mind. It was life. It was all things. But that turned her on in indescribable ways. She knew Rafe was feeling it too. She’d felt it for the first time when she was sixteen years old and had made the transformation alone. Now, she was able to share that with Rafe. The thought turned her on even more. Sweat poured down her forehead and over her naked breasts, down to her nipples, and she loved the tickle of the trickle making its way down her body.

“I need you,” she told Rafe. “Are you ready?”

“I’m so ready,” he said as he pulled her hand from his cock and tugged on her, gesturing for her to come to him.

He started to rise as if he were going to take control of the moment, but she pushed him back down.

“No,” she said. “This is something I need to lead you through. You are mine. I need you to understand that. From this moment on, you are bound to me and no other.”

  “Yes,” he said.

That was all she needed to hear. She lifted her right leg up and moved it over his body so that she was straddling him. His cock stood at full erection in front of her trimmed mound. She cupped her hand over it and dug at the spot beneath its head to tease him.

  “Oh my God,” he said.

  She smiled and giggled.

“I’m going to enjoy this,” she said. “You may or may not.”

“Give it to me,” he said. “Do your best.”

She laughed again and lifted her pussy up, sitting down on him hard. His head entered first, the fullness of the round helmet shape stretching her lips open and forcing its way into her wetness. Once there, she sat down on him, feeling the familiar width of the cock she’d come to crave. Inch by inch she let it slide into her. When she gasped, static filled her lungs and tiny shocks went through her body. Rafe’s stomach and chest twitched beneath her and she knew he was feeling the same sensation.

Wanting to be as much a part of him as possible, she lowered her body to his, so that her sweaty tits pressed against his chest. She wanted to feel all of his body against hers. She reached and grabbed a handful of his beautiful hair, squeezing it tight so he’d feel it at the roots. He moaned into her mouth as she sucked on his tongue. His hand found a fistful of her hair too and he was pulling it back. The pain was delicious. With her eyes squeezed shut, sweat forming at the corners like salty tears running down her cheeks, she climbed his body there on the floor, mashing her limbs against his as her pussy pounded his cock, coating him with her juices and forcing him into her as deep as he could go.

  “I love you,” he whispered.

  “Say that again,” she said.

  “I love you,” he repeated.

“Yes,” she cried as she sped up and fucked him, leaning back only enough so his cock would grind against her G-spot.

He slammed into her over and over until she was close to coming. Sweat poured from them both. Their hair was a matted and wet mess, but both young lovers fucked each other into oblivion. Kalina put everything into his pleasure, forcing her own in the process. It was almost time. He needed to be close too.

Fire built up inside her, burning her thighs, filling her chest, scorching her limbs as the blue mist did its work.

  “It hurts,” Rafe said.

“Savor it,” she told him. “Wince and squeeze my hair. Fight through it. And when you’re ready, I need you to come inside me. Come inside me hard, okay? Give me everything you have.”

He only nodded and winced through the pain. She knew it had to hurt him because it hurt her. The blue mist filled their bodies and as she closed her eyes she could almost see it at work, reinforcing their bones, strengthening their skin, enhancing their vision, and giving them both more agility, strength, wisdom, speed, and overall power. She giggled through the pain, hoping she didn’t look like a mad woman. Her nerves were on fire. Her blood skidded through her veins instead of flowing softly. It seemed to be reaching out, trying to stop itself as it jerked violently through her arms and legs.

“Oh fuck!” Rafe yelled. “God, it hurts!”

“You love me,” she reminded him. “You love me. Remember that. Hold onto that. You want this.”

  “I want this!” he yelled.

  “Are you close?” she asked.

  “Almost…but the pain, it keeps…”

She leaned back and rode him, her eyes and mouth facing the roof of the tent. Her body shivered as if she had hypothermia, but his cock remained hard inside her, and she needed to fight through it, like he was. This was the only way to save him. She needed him to be a beast in the water, not some vulnerable newbie. She leaned the right way, and his cock knocked her G-spot again.

“Oh my God,” she cried. “Right there. Oh shit. Right there.”

She rode him like her life depended on it and when she looked down at him, she could tell he was close. His eyes were on hers, and he was grimacing through the pain, but he was enduring. She needed him to come. She could whenever he was ready, but they had to do it together for this to work. He hit her spot again and she could no longer hold it. She was about to let go completely. She needed him to finish. She reached back and grabbed his balls, massaging them as she slammed her pussy down.

“I can’t anymore!” she cried out.

  “I’m coming!” he shouted.

She released her orgasm as she felt his first spurt of cum inside her, then, as if she were a bloodthirsty vampire, she lay down on top of his body again, pinned his arms down, continued to shove her pussy against his cock, and sank her teeth into his shoulder. Blood filled her mouth as she bit into his skin. Her razor-sharp shark teeth formed enough to tear through the flesh and allow her to drink from him. Rafe gasped and inhaled the blue mist as her teeth clenched around his shoulder and her pussy commanded more seed from his cock, squeezing tighter than humanly possible, stroking him from inside in a supernatural constriction that she’d heard felt amazing but excruciating at the same time. This only happened during the transformation process. Her body needed his cum to complete the process. It was the perfect blend of agony, pleasure, happiness…it was life. Rafe spasmed beneath her. This was the moment of most intense pain for him, she knew that from her own experience. Hers hadn’t been sexual at all, but she remembered the moment when she fully transformed. The blue mist did something inside the body to protect it, to coat it with power, but it felt as if each and every bone was being pulled out of the body first. Rafe shook beneath her and she could do nothing but watch. At this point, it was out of her hands.

Later, with the blue blanket draped over his shoulders, they exited the tent, and both collapsed on the cool sand, naked, and unworried about what Horace might think.

“I see you put my tent to good use,” the old man said as he looked down at them. “So, my magic wasn’t wasted after all. I guess you were right about him.”

“I was,” Kalina said. “I’ve never been more right in my life.”

  Chapter 25 – Sylvia

The crazy bitch did it. I thought she was only kidding.

Sylvia and Coby were on Shamrock Island the day Faith walked naked out of the water with three stark naked men. They were clearly Rafe’s friends, all beach bum buddies who talked like they’d spent their summers in California and the rest of their lives in Australia. The blend of laid-back beach vibe with Aussie slang was ridicul
ous. At least Rafe sounded halfway intelligent when he spoke. Since Kalina had turned him, Rafe had spent all his time at the island and seemed so much happier. It was clear the guy loved and cherished her.

Things were looking up. Kalina had her man, Penny had a baby on the way, and Sylvia couldn’t keep her hands off Coby. He made her happy, but as she looked at the other couples, it was clear they’d never be like them. Her man was a different breed altogether. He wouldn’t be content with making s’mores by campfire or playing truth or dare with their women like Kino and Jagger did. He wouldn’t hold her in front of others the way Rawhide cuddled with Paisley. He wouldn’t dote on her pregnant belly the way Thane did with Penny. If she ever got pregnant. The thought worried her. She’d never used protection with Coby. He wasn’t the kind of guy you asked to wear a condom. She couldn’t even get him to put on pants most of the time.

“What’s wrong?” Coby asked as he took her hand in his.

The gesture surprised her. She looked to the side and saw that Thane was holding Penny’s. She knew he’d copied the romantic couple, but that didn’t matter to her. He was trying and that meant something. He might have been a fearless warrior, but he’d found a soft spot for his woman, and Sylvia couldn’t ask for much more…yet. At some point, she’d bring up the topic of settling on the island with the others but that would have to come later. After the battle maybe.

“Nothing,” Sylvia finally answered. “I guess…they all look like they’re having fun.”

“And I don’t,” he said, finishing her thoughts for her.

He was right. That’s exactly what she was thinking.

“I never fit in,” he added. “With anyone. Poet and I…we uh…we didn’t grow up like Neanderthals. We went to school in London.”

  “You did?” she asked.

  “You seem surprised,” he said.

“London…that’s a big city,” she said. “I don’t imagine you being happy there and…you weren’t happy there.”

  She’d changed mid-thought, finally getting Coby’s point.

“I tried,” he said. “Poet loved it. He liked our school. He was younger and more eager to learn. I was already stubborn in my ways. I knew what my family was. My dad had told us before he died. I didn’t see the point in trying to relate to other kids when they would go on to run big businesses and I would spend my life in the water. I always knew it. Poet became…well, he became Poet. I became an ill-mannered asshole.”

“I happen to have this thing for ill-mannered assholes,” Sylvia joked as she slapped his thick chest with her open hand.

Keeping her hand there, she massaged his muscle.

“Want to get out of here?” she asked.

“Not yet,” he said. “I suppose I should meet our newest troops.”

Troops was a good word for it. If it wasn’t for the impending doom sure to be brought on by Evelyn and her clan, Rafe’s friends would have never been accepted into their community. In fact, Sylvia was still stunned that Thane would agree to it in the first place. She was too new to understand all the moving parts that came with the life of these people or to fully understand what the tiger shark leader had in mind, but she imagined this to be more of an elitist thing. Not just anyone should be able to become a shifter.

“Can somebody get these boys some pants?” Penny joked as she walked out with the others to meet their new members.

Kalina approached Sylvia as Rafe sped off to shake hands with his friends.

“This is a bad idea,” Kalina said. “At least you’ve had some time to prepare. These guys…Sylvia, they could get hurt.”

“I will help train them,” Coby said.

“Please do,” Kalina said. “Rafe too. They’re all so young and excited and unaware. They’ve never been face to face with the likes of Evelyn. She’s a monster and will sink to whatever level she needs to in order to win.”

“We’ll get them ready,” Sylvia promised.

She didn’t have the most experience, but Coby was a great teacher and she’d already learned so much. His most important lesson was to never show fear. If Kalina hoped to help Rafe and the others, she needed to stop showing how terrified she was of them getting hurt. They needed to believe they were invincible if they were going to go into this fight and survive. If they thought they weren’t strong enough, they wouldn’t be.

“You really did it?” Thane asked as he approached Faith, chewing on the inside of his mouth.

“She did it alright,” Penny said.

  “Three times,” Sylvia added.

“It was a joke, Faith,” he said. “Or a half serious suggestion that I halfheartedly agreed to. What are we going to do with three new recruits?”

“Recruits?” Rafe said. “What, are we trying out for the FBI?”

  “Make that four,” Thane said.

“I’ll take care of Rafe,” Kalina promised. “Sylvia and Cobalt are going to help me train them in time.”

“You guys are talking about us like we’re not even here, yo!” the one with long blond, messy hair said.

“This isn’t exactly the reception I expected,” a more handsome one with long dark hair said as he twisted it around one fist and held it up in a bun. He squatted down, picked up a stick, and shoved it through his hair to keep it in place.

“Guys,” Rafe said as he pointed at the blond one. “This is Squid.”

He moved to the guy with the bun and added, “And Hightail,” before gesturing at a bald one who was quite cute in his own way and said, “Beanie.”

They were all handsome guys, but nowhere close to as striking as Coby. Not only did Sylvia’s man have the stone-cold look of a predator, he was nearly twice the size of any of the others. He almost looked like he could have eaten all three of them.

“Why are you all here?” Thane asked, sizing them up.

The answer was obvious. They were here because of Faith and her voodoo pussy that held them all in a trance.

“I’m here ‘cause the hot babe with the tattoos asked me to,” Beanie said.

  “Same here, brah,” Hightail said.

“I want to live in the ocean,” Squid said.

“Oh boy,” Thane replied as he rubbed his hands together. “We’ve got a lot of work to do. But it’s good to have you guys. You may not know it yet, but you’re here because you’re brave, you’re curious, and because you’re going to help us kick the living shit out of some hammerheads.”

  “Fuckin A-right, brah!” Hightail said.

“Do we get to keep having sex with Faith?” Squid asked.

“Dude, I was gonna ask the same question,” Beanie said.

“They don’t find it even the least bit nasty that they’re all sharing the same woman?” Sylvia asked Coby.

  “Boys,” he replied.

That said it all. No other explanation was needed.

The rest of that day was spent in the water. If Sylvia weren’t in shark form, she would have laughed out loud at the sound of all four of the new guys crying when they touched the water. She imagined it had been the same the first time they’d transformed and would be the same the next few times at least. She knew how it felt and it was agonizing. She’d been terrified each time she’d entered the water at first, and now she was finally starting to get used to it. She couldn’t help thinking about how many times in the past she’d hesitated when jumping into a swimming pool, afraid that it might be too cold.

  I was such a wimp.

Sylvia, Coby, Thane, and Kalina were all surprised at how quickly the boys seemed to get the hang of swimming, communicating, and fighting in shark form. The way they spoke was ridiculous. It was all “dude” and “brah” and “wicked.” She couldn’t help thinking they sounded like the fucking Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Or if memory served her right, there had even been a cartoon or a video game or something with talking sharks. These young guns were fearless, that was for sure. They belonged in this world and Sylvia was glad Faith had taken one for the team. Or three. The th
ought made her giggle.

The shit Faith does for this family. Wild sex with three young studs. How terrible.

Two days later it was Saturday, and Thane was sure it would be the day Evelyn would strike. On Rafe and Kalina’s advice, they checked the water all around Queensland to make sure there wasn’t anything significant going on other than the big Party for Life Festival. No party cruises were leaving the docks, no barges were out on the water, and no big scuba diving classes were underway. Everything had shut down for the big festival on shore, which meant a party off the coast as well. Inner tubes, rafts, small wooden barges, boats tied together, and people floating around in life vests and without them dotted the area’s shore. Most were in too shallow water for a good shark attack. Thane seemed convinced that everything would be fine as long as they stayed close to the party. If they safeguarded the deeper water and stayed within close response distance, Evelyn would have no choice but to abandon her plans.

Sylvia didn’t have the same confidence as their leader.

Should I even consider him my leader? I’m not a tiger shark. Coby is my leader. He’s my only leader.

This led her to checking with her one true leader to see what his thoughts were on all this. He felt that, for the most part, Thane was right. If they stayed near enough to prevent Evelyn and her gang from attacking, all would be fine. As long as they weren’t spotted by the humans. If even one of their fins broke the surface, all hell could break loose.

It was Rafe who didn’t seem convinced. Sylvia didn’t envy the guy. Not only did he have to keep his boss, Keelan Kane, away from Coby, but he also had to worry about the civilians on the beach. All this while staying true to his new family in the water. He was stuck right dab in the middle and obviously didn’t want to see anyone get hurt. They’d talked about it early on the morning of the festival. She, Rafe, and Coby had been sitting out on the beach getting ready to start the patrol.
