White Lies

"Yes," I told him, my heart pounding in my chest. He grabbed my hand firmly in his and led me off the dance floor. We passed by his sisters who began to giggle and wave at us; so much for sneaking out unnoticed. I smiled at them as we walked by towards the entrance, where we headed for the valet and retrieved the car.

The drive wasn't far but it felt tortuously long. We were about to cross a line, and we both knew it. I looked over at Nicholas as he drove with calm confidence, slightly over the speed limit, towards the hotel. When we pulled up he gracefully tossed the keys to the valet and took my hand again, leading me inside.

He pulled me into the elevator and as soon as the doors closed he turned towards me, placing one hand on either side of me and pinning me against the wall. He looked down at me, his expression dark and hungry.

"What are you doing to me?" He mumbled then leaned forward and kissed me, harder this time. When the doors opened and he pulled away I ran a hand through his hair.

"I could ask you the same thing, Mr. Blackstone," I told him with a playful smile.

He scooped me up in his arms and I gave a surprised yelp as he carried me to his room. He pushed open the door then walked towards the bed, placing me down and standing over me. I was breathing quickly and bit my lip, nervous that we were alone together.

"Are you sure about this, Breanne?" Nicholas asked me, slowly unfastening his bowtie and letting it hang open at his neck. I nodded and he shrugged out of his jacket, letting it fall to the floor. He began unfastening his shirt buttons, slowly, one at a time while he looked down at me. "I wanted you from the first second I saw you," he told me, his shirt falling open exposing his tightly defined chest. "I didn't want to admit to myself how badly, but I knew it."

"I felt it too," I told him. He pushed his shirt off his shoulders then let it fall to the ground as well. I looked over his body, feeling a warm flush, and my breath caught when he lowered himself onto the bed pinning me beneath him. He kissed me again, his lips moving over mine with a fierce urgency. There was a barely restrained force behind him now and he trailed a hand down my throat, over my chest and the curve of my hip where he gripped me.

Nicholas moved to my neck, trailing his lips down and towards my collarbone while he moved the strap of my dress aside exposing more delicate flesh. He reached for the zipper at my side and pulled it down, slowly, loosening the tight fabric from my body.

Nicholas stood up suddenly and pulled me with him. As soon as I was standing he slipped the straps over my shoulders, letting my dress drift down and pool around my feet. I stepped out of it, wearing only my white lace bra and underwear now, wanting his hands all over my skin. Nicholas picked me up and wrapped my legs around his waist then faced the wall, pinning me against it as he returned to my mouth. I moaned as I felt his erection straining in his pants, pressed between my legs and making me ache to feel him inside me. I slid my hands over his firm chest while he explored my mouth insistently, running my hands up and tangling them in his thick dark hair surrendering my mouth to his. He pushed off the wall and we tumbled back onto the bed, rolling until I was underneath him again. He looked at me, his eyes scorching, then leaned down to kiss the tops of my breasts. He reached behind me and unclasped my bra, pulling down the thin fabric and wrapping his hot mouth over one sensitive peak. I moaned as he moved his tongue over my nipple, my skin constricting into a tight point while he massaged my other breast with his hand.

I reached down and pulled his belt free, tugging down his zipper. He shoved off his pants, the outline of his erection now more visible in his boxers. Nicholas Blackstone appeared to be well built, in every sense. Licking my lips I reached down for him but he caught my wrist and held it over my head. I looked at him in confusion, a wicked smile spread over his lips.

"Not yet, Breanne," he said. His voice had developed a low, husky edge. "You're not ready."

I opened my mouth to disagree, I had never felt more ready, but he leaned down and sealed his mouth over mine stopping my words from ever escaping. He leaned over the bed and pulled his belt free from his pants, a glint in his eyes as he looped it and secured my wrists inside the leather then placing my arms over my head.

"Stay like this," he said, his tone firm and commanding. I nodded and he kissed my neck, down my chest and trailing lower with his lips and tongue. By the time he made it to the edge of my lace underwear I was squirming under him, my breathing coming quicker. He curved his finger over the fabric, looking up at me, then began to pull my panties off tortuously slow.

I bit my lip as he ran his finger along my cleft, then he dipped his head down and tasted me with a long smooth stroke of his tongue. I gasped, feeling his mouth close over me, and he began to flutter his tongue against my sensitive flesh. He pressed a finger against my opening, testing me, before pushing deep inside while he continued to work me with his mouth. I was moaning, my body on edge, my bound hands grabbing at the edge of the bed.

His tongue and finger worked rhythmically and I felt my sex quiver, desperate to feel him push deep into me. "Please," I asked him, my voice hoarse. It was almost a stranger's voice, I barely recognized how desperate he had made me. How eager. He glanced up at me and arched an eyebrow. It was unbelievable how attractive he was, how much he could turn me on with that smouldering gaze of his. His finger continued to move slowly in and out of my wet opening.

"Please what?" Nicholas asked. He was going to make me say it.

  "Please screw me," I pleaded.

His expression was intense, he was looking at me hungrily as he moved between my legs. He angled the thick crown of his cock against my soft opening and teased me with it, slowly. I squirmed on the bed, pushing down against him, wanting and needing to feel him inside me. Then, with a shove, he pushed the tip inside causing me to gasp in surprise and pleasure. I felt deliciously stretched as he pushed inch after inch of his thick shaft into me, giving me everything I wanted and more. When he was up to the base he stayed deep inside me, looking down into my eyes, then he slowly began to pull out again. Over and over, he pulled out to the tip then gently slid deep inside me. The sensation was exquisite and I wrapped my legs around his hips, letting him hit me at a deeper angle.

Holding onto my legs Nicholas started to move faster, increasing the speed and intensity of his thrusts. He returned his thumb to my clit and I gasped, arching my back in ecstasy. He knew exactly how to touch me, exactly what my body was craving. As he filled me, shoving inside me over and over again, he continued to stroke my sensitive bud until I was writhing beneath him. I bit my lip, feeling a tightness coil within me, screaming for release.

“Look at me,” Nicholas’ voice pulled me from my trance and I snapped my eyes open, looking into the cool blue of his own. I bit my lip, delirious with pleasure, and he smiled down at me as he continued to take pleasure in my body. His finger was moving against me faster now, coaxing me over the edge. “Come for me Breanne,” he told me, his voice low and husky.

His voice, the sensations inside and outside my body, everything combined in that moment and I felt myself give in to my body. With a gasp I climaxed, hard, my body starting to reflexively pulse and clench on his thickness while he continued to screw me. As pleasure rippled through me Nicholas grabbed my legs and started shoving into me with greater urgency, racing to meet my orgasm with his own. My breathing was rapid, my skin misted lightly with perspiration as he looked down at me possessively.

Nicholas groaned, reaching down and holding me against him. I felt him quiver inside me then a warm sensation as he came. His thick member continued to move in and out of me, his movements slightly jerky now, as he emptied himself into my body. Breathing hard, he collapsed against me and scooped me in his arms against his chest. I could feel his heart beating hard and fast, mirroring my own. As we lay together, it seemed like our breathing was the only sound in the entire world. He placed his face in the crook of my neck and kissed me softly, trailing his lips gently from my shoulder over my cheek towards my mouth. As he closed
his lips over mine I melted against him, our bodies still connected. He turned onto his side and I curled against him, basking in the afterglow. My body felt deeply satisfied. He trailed his hand through my hair, caressing me. It was the last thing I remembered before I drifted off to sleep in his arms.

I turned over in bed, the sheets clinging to my body, as I slowly opened my eyes. The sun was streaming through the window casting the room in a warm glow. I looked around me and to my surprise, realized I was alone. I sat up in bed holding the sheet against my chest, wondering where Nicholas was, when the door opened and he walked in. His hair was messy and he was dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, holding a tray and smiling at me.

“I didn’t want to wake you,” he told me as he let the door close behind him. “You looked so peaceful, and I figured you could use the rest. I got you some breakfast.” He walked over to the bed and set the tray down beside me. On it there was a bowl of fruit with yogurt, toast and a cappuccino.

“Thank you,” I told him with a smile. I picked up the coffee and took a sip, it was rich and satisfying against my tongue.

“I have a surprise for you today,” he told me. His eyes were sparkling with excitement.

“What is it?” I asked, picking up a piece of toast and taking a bite. Nicholas leaned forward until his face was inches from mine.

“If I told you, it wouldn’t be a surprise now would it?” he said, a mischievous look in his eyes. With a grin he kissed me on the forehead, then stood up from the bed. “I’m going to head downstairs to make a few calls and get a bit of work done. Enjoy your breakfast, get ready and meet me downstairs in an hour,” he told me.

“Fine, be mysterious,” I said. He leaned over and kissed me, sneaking a quick bite of my toast with a wink, then he walked over to the door and left. Alone I sipped my coffee and enjoyed my breakfast, realizing how hungry I was. It felt good to be sitting in bed in the sunshine, reflecting on last night as I ate. I had slept with Nicholas Blackstone, and this morning he was being incredibly sweet to me. This was not at all what I had expected when I agreed to be his wedding date, but I was not disappointed with how things had turned out. After I finished eating I walked over to the dresser to place my tray down, then started looking for my discarded clothing. I saw my dress and underwear draped over a chair, Nicholas must have picked them up and placed them there for me. I slipped into my dress, holding my underwear and shoes, then tiptoed out of Nicholas’ room towards my own.

“Walk of shame?” asked a familiar voice behind me. I winced and turned to see Lilly walking out of the elevator down the hall. My heart sank, why was she always around, especially when I didn’t want her to be?

“No shame at all Lilly,” I told her standing tall. “In fact, I had a wonderful night. How about you?”

“I was just coming to find Nicholas and invite him to breakfast,” she told me, staring daggers.

“Well he’s not in his room, he’s downstairs,” I told her. “Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get changed. Nicholas is taking me out this morning.” I turned to open my door but Lilly wasn’t done with me.

“It’s not going to work out between you two, you know.” I turned to face her and she continued with a scowl. “He comes from a distinguished family. He’ll have his fun with you, and then he’ll be done. There is no way he is going to end up with some waitress.”

“You seem very threatened by me for someone who is so sure of that,” I told her matter of factly. Before she could say another word I opened the door to my room and closed it behind me. I stripped out of my dress then headed for the bathroom, turning on the shower and standing under the massive shower head. I let the water rain down on my skin, rinsing away the bad mood that had started to creep into my subconscious at Lilly’s comment. I didn’t know what this was between Nicholas and I, but I wasn’t about to let her jealousy ruin what we had when it was only starting. After a quick shower I dried my hair and did my makeup, opening my luggage and unsure what to wear since I didn’t know what Nicholas and I were even doing that morning. I settled on crisp white shorts and a gauzy blue top, figuring it would be appropriate for a variety of California summer activities. I checked my reflection one final time, feeling giddy, then picked up my bag and headed downstairs. I walked through the lobby until I found Nicholas seated at a table on his phone. He was deep in conversation, his brow slightly furrowed. Even annoyed, he looked devastatingly handsome. As I walked towards him he looked up at me and his expression softened.

“We’ll continue this discussion later,” he said into the phone, his eyes on me. “There is something else that needs my attention.” He hung up the phone then stood, walking towards me. He pulled me against him and kissed me. “Ready to go?” he asked.

“I hope so, but I still don’t know where we’re going,” I told him.

“Be patient,” he said, taking me by the hand and leading me outside. We walked into the balmy sunshine and the valet left to get his car. When he pulled up Nicholas opened the door for me and I slid inside while he walked around to the driver’s seat. With a roar we pulled away from the entrance and drove off. I looked over at him, the window down and the breeze ruffling his hair, and he turned his head to smile at me.

“What’s on your mind?” he asked.

“Are you even going to give me a hint?” I probed. He shook his head.

“No, but you can have three guesses,” he told me. I stared at him, trying to think through all of the possibilities in my mind. After a helicopter ride, it really could be anything. Suddenly a frightening realization crept over me.

“It’s not skydiving, is it?” I asked nervously.

  “No,” he laughed.

“Does it involve a motorized vehicle of any kind?” I guessed.

“No. One more guess Breanne and that’s it.”

I pressed my lips together, wracking my brain. “Does it involve the water?”

Nicholas shook his head. “Nope, and that was your last guess so now you’re just going to have to sit back, enjoy the drive and wait until we get there. It’s not far.” He switched on the radio and scanned until he found a station playing contemporary hits. I looked out the window at the gorgeous California scenery speeding by until we slowed at a driveway and started to turn off the main road. The sign over a wooden archway read “Swift Creek Ranch”. I looked from the window, rolling fields with horses galloping through the open pastures, to Nicholas. He smiled at me.

“Surprise,” he said as we continued down the driveway until we stopped at a large rustic barn. We parked and I stepped out of the car, breathing in the clean air and the smell of fresh cut grass. Nicholas walked around the car and wrapped his arm around my waist, guiding me towards the barn where an older man was waiting inside.

“This is really unexpected,” I told him as I looked around the stalls at the elegant horses.

“Nicholas Blackstone?” asked the man, stepping forward to shake his hand. He had a worn in and tanned face, his rough hands gave him away as a hard working man while his warm smile immediately made me feel at ease in his presence.

“Nice to meet you Jeff,” Nicholas told him as he shook his hand. “This is Breanne.”

Jeff gave me a bright, toothy smile then held my hand in his. “Hello Breanne, are you looking forward to going for a ride on one of my horses today?”

I nodded, feeling excitement bubble up inside me. “I am now that I know it’s what I’m going to be doing today,” I told him.

“Follow me,” Jeff said as he started to walk away, waving for us to walk down the barn after him. A skinny grey cat darted past us and disappeared behind a partially open door. There was a rich scent in the air of age-worn wood, straw and animals. Jeff stopped in front of a stall and opened the door, leading out a beautiful white mare already saddled and waiting for me. “This is Blanche,” Jeff told me as he led her into the hallway and over towards me. “She’s real gentle, go on, give her a pat.” I reached up tentatively and touched he
r muzzle. She was soft and warm, like velvet, and I beamed when I turned to look at Nicholas. He was watching me with a contented look on his face as I walked along the powerful animal, stroking her smooth mane. “Allow me,” said Jeff as he took my hand and guided me to the side. “Put your foot into the stirrup and pull yourself up onto the saddle.” I did as he told me, and with a heave I was seated on top of Blanche, towering over everyone below.

Jeff moved to the next stall and led out a large and gleaming black stallion, his coat brushed smooth. “This is Maximus, I call him Max for short. I understand you know what to do Mister Blackstone,” he told Nicholas as he handed over the reins. Nicholas patted the stallion’s strong neck gently and nodded, then mounted the horse and sat tall in the saddle. “Everything is good to go,” Jeff told him. “Enjoy your ride.” Jeff moved to the other end of the barn and swung open the doors for us. Nicholas pulled at the reins and guided Max out into the daylight. My mare followed behind, and we walked along a path side by side towards a wooded area.

“Ready to see what they can do?” Nicholas asked me, a playful glint in his eyes.

“Ready as I’ll ever be,” I told him.

“Squeeze your legs at her sides and snap the reins, and try to keep up!” Nicholas nudged his horse and they took off down the path at a fast gallop. I did what he told me, squeezing Blanche gently, and she changed from a trot to a gallop down the path after Nicholas. I caught up and found myself laughing in joy as we raced along towards the treeline, the meadow and an orchard growing distant as we flew by. We slowed to a trot once we were in the woods and I glanced over at Nicholas as we wound our way through the trees. He seemed so confident and self-assured, it was obviously not his first time riding, and I was enjoying myself. The breeze was playing in my hair as I bounced in the saddle, swaying with each heavy step. The light was peeking in through the leaves casting the woods in a magical glow, and I could hear birds in the branches calling to each other. It was nothing short of picture perfect.
