City of the Reptilians

Far from the animal farm, in the inside quarter of the city, Oronna was staring at a giant holographic screen, that was showing cells joining and becoming complex figures. He touched his greyish, thinning mid-long hair with his clawed fingers. His reptile eyes narrowed and he was frowning as he was clearly thinking very hard about something. He wore the usual light white dress just like his fellows.
"Bruno, please bring me the A/6 cell culture," he asked his assistant on a harsh voice.
"Here you are," the man gave it to him.
"Great, I need exactly this one," he put it in the research device and the screen immediately switched to these cells.
The laboratory, where Bruno worked, was equipped with incredible machines and technologies. He had been helping the reptilian for a few years, but he still did not know how some of the devices worked. There was an omniscient computer that was operated with verbal commands. It was hundreds of times more powerful than any human-made supercomputer. It could make the most complex genetic calculations easily. It evaluated the results verbally and even made suggestions, how the modification of the calculation would bring different results. There was a compound analyzer, a dater machine, and everything including a DNA sequencing device. These machines were unbelievably fast and accurate. There were two other scientists working in the lab and they had reptilian assistants, only Oronna had a human helper.
"Well, it's not right, I have to come up with a new formula," he murmured to himself.
"These membranes do not seem very stable," Bruno shared his insight.
"You might be right, they simply disintegrate too soon. I will try a new approach. Thank you for your insight."
The man and Oronna the reptilian got on very well, as they had been working together for two years and had many successful projects and experiments.
"We will only finish this tomorrow, you can go now, we are done."
"Thanks, I'm going then, keep up the good work," he replied and headed towards the exit.
