Jacqueline’s Quest
Page 19
A sense of possessiveness overtook him in those moments. She was so fucking pure and all his. Just thinking about it as he pulled his zipper down and fisted his dick turned him on. He groaned, pressing his forehead to her back. He should slow down and allow both of them to catch their breath, but they were out of time. It was now or never. “I’ll always love you, Hannah.” He whispered the words as he filled her in one stroke.
Her snug pussy rippled around him and a snarl of pleasure ripped through him. She was his woman. Santiago flexed his hips before pulling out. His thrusts were measured. He enjoyed the way her pussy quivered each time he filled her then tried to hold him in place when he withdrew. He wanted to remember each second they were together, engrave it into his memories so when he missed her most, he could recall the last time he got to hold her. His hips faltered. The idea of never seeing her again tore at his heart. How could he let her go? Even if it was for the right reasons, he didn't think he could.
Shit. Stop thinking and finish. Don’t want to get caught with your dick out. No, he didn't. He wrapped an arm around her middle and increased his pace. Anticipation along with bliss curled in his gut. It felt way too good to be inside her and again he'd been so fucking glad not only had he been her first, but she was sterilized. No way in fuck could he ever use a condom with her. She was too warm and too perfect for him. He lowered his hand to her clit and began circling the taut nub. Hannah jerked against him, meeting him stroke for stroke until he swore, she clamped down on him with all her might.
The minute she started to come, he let go. Their cries of passion mingled together while he clung to her riding out their combined releases. His heart pounded. His knees were weak. Hell, he couldn’t even think straight. He didn’t move for long moments, but before he pulled out, he hit the button on the wall closing the curtain. As soon as it was closed, he ripped the headphones off and the blindfold.
“Hannah... Butterfly,” he murmured.
“Oscar,” she whispered, her voice trembling.
“I’ve got you.” He pulled from her then gathered her in his arms as best he could for the second. “I’m not going anywhere.” He held her until her shaking subsided. “Let’s get you down then we can sit for a minute.”
She nodded. A single tear slid down her cheek. “He saw everything.”
The 'he,' being her brother. "Yes."
“I’m sorry you had to do this.”
“Shh...” He unhooked her wrists first then her legs. “It’s going to work out, butterfly. He can be mad at me later, but we had to make it look as real as possible. Don’t worry.” Santiago pressed his lips to her forehead.
“I hope you’re right.” She snuggled into his arms and sighed. “How long can we stay like this?”
“Only a minute more. I’m sorry.”
She shook her head. “Don’t be. I’m glad it was you.”
Yeah, and he was kicking his own ass. He couldn’t keep her in any capacity, nevertheless, he wanted her. It ate at him, he couldn’t walk out of the building with her, but it also wouldn’t be fair to her family—her brother. “Me too.” He rubbed her shoulder. “Let’s get you dressed so we can get you back to your brother.” He pressed his lips to hers. “Don’t forget me.”
“Never,” she whispered. “I’ll never forget your kindness or your heart.”
Fuck. Why’d she have to be so kind to me?
The door to the room opened a few moments later, however, Murray still couldn't open his eyes. The image of the bastard touching his sister was seared into his mind, blinding him with rage and uselessness. His sister. Fuck, he wished he could have changed positions with her, just this once so she didn't have to endure that, shit.
“What did you think?”
“We’ll take her.” Jaqueline’s voice wobbled. “She’s perfect.”
Murray glanced up at the man who was still shirtless. His breath came in pants. His eyes were a little too wide and a little too glassy for Murray liking. The man cut his gaze to Murray. “Will you be making an offer to Mr. Iniguez?”
“Yes,” Jaqueline said. “Two-hundred and fifty thousand.”
The man nodded. “Please give me a moment to prepare the submissive, she will meet you out in the main area of the club.”
No. Murray didn’t want to leave his sister. Not when he was this close to her. Not when all he had to do was step out into the hallway and opened the door next to their room. He fisted his hands at his side and opened his mouth to protest when Jaqueline pressed her hand to his arm, silencing him.
“We will be waiting.” She hooked her finger in Murray’s belt loop and pulled him out of the room.
“Thank you,” the man said. “She will be with you momentarily.”
"I got you," Noah said for the first time since they entered the club. "This is the ten-minute countdown. The auction will begin shortly."
Murray grunted. Easy for Noah to say. His sister didn't just have sex in front of him. Eyes closed and no sound or not, he'd be hard-pressed to forget what happened to her for a long time. He glanced out over the club and spotted Thomas, Scotty, and AJ coming from the tunnel on the left. All three appeared out of sorts, but relieved. Jealousy wriggled through his gut and he hated it. All he wanted was to wrap his arms around his sister and tell her how much he loved her, yet there he stood waiting for her to join them.
“Excuse me,” a soft voice behind the said. “Are you Madam Jacqueline?”
Murray turned his head and relief flooded him. Hannah. She was beautiful. She reminded him of their mother and still as pretty as he remembered her. Fuck... His heart broke. She was alive. His hands trembled. His knees were weak. He wanted to go to his knees in front of her and gather her into his arms. Tears he hadn’t allowed himself to cry, burned at the back of his eyes. Ten years. Ten long, fucking hard, years.
Jaqueline turned. “I am. You must be my new property.”
“My name is Hannah, Ma’am,” Hannah said. She didn’t look up and for the first time, Murray was glad she didn’t because he was afraid he’d embarrass himself and sob like a baby. “Oscar stays with me for the night until you are ready to leave.”
“The auction will begin momentarily,” Oscar said joining them. “If you’d like to find a seat.”
“I understand.” She looked up at Murray. “Esclavo...” She motioned for Murray to follow her.
He swallowed hard and followed behind Jaqueline as they found a place to sit. As they situated his sister and sat, Luca appeared with his sub for the night along with Christian. The kid was big. Muscular. But, for as stout as the kid had been, he was also scared. He didn’t want to think about what Luca might have done to the boy.
Jaqueline dug her nails into Murray’s thigh, and he hissed. “Sorry, esclavo.”
“Not a problem, Madame Jacqueline,” he murmured. “I understand.”
She shot him a look filled with understanding and also resolve. “I see.”
He couldn’t pay attention during the auction. Seeing each person being paraded around while wolves in sheep’s clothing lifted their paddles bidding on the subs, left him feeling disgusting and furious. He knew once they left the building, the ‘freaks,’ as the auctioneer called them when each one stepped up onto the small stage, would more than likely die. They weren’t being bought to be given a great life. No, these people here, Murray had a feeling, didn’t see their subs as people. They saw them as toys that, if they broke them, could be replaced with a few thousand dollars. Well, little did they know, after today, no one would be coming back.
A girl walked across the stage and went straight to the Dom who won the bid while the auctioneer reset to begin again. As the second person stepped onto the stage, the earpiece in Murray’s ear crackled and he winced. He glanced at Jaqueline who wore the same expression of pain on her face as him. The submissive on the stage went to his knees and bowed his head as the bidding began once more. Murray swallowed hard. Something wasn’t right. The hairs on the back of his neck stood on end.
His earpiece crackled again “Br—”
Then, the lights went out.
Chapter 9
Murray coughed. The ringing in his ears annoyed him as he surveyed the area before shutting them again, desperate to block out the intense flash of light from another flash-bang. What in the fuck happened? How did I get on the floor? The events leading up to being thrown from his chair by the concussive blast and onto the floor of the club were foggy at best. The last thing he remembered was the second sub—a guy had been up on the platform kneeling in front of the gathered audience, waiting for the auction to begin once more and then...
Nothing.
He pried his eyes open, but all he saw was spots of colors. None of it made sense. A voice from far away called his name. He tried to focus on it, but his head pounded, and his ears were plugged up. The buzzing ring filling his head drove him to the brink. If he could focus for a second, catch his bearings, maybe he could figure out what the fuck happened. He patted the floor around him, but there was nothing there. Hannah. Jaqueline. Fear and adrenaline got his heart pumping, pushing back some of the fog clogging his mind. He couldn’t lose either of them. Not when he’d been reunited with his sister after so long.
“Murray!” The voice was clearer now. “Answer me, damn it.”
He groaned, pushing himself off the floor. He coughed hard, knocking more of the cobwebs loose. “What the fuck.”
"Thank fuck," Noah said. "I thought I lost all of you. Those fucking Federales double-crossed us. Someone ratted us out."
It didn't make sense. Did someone rat them out? Someone told the Federales what they were doing? Weren't they the good guys too? "Can't find Jaqueline."
“I gotcha buddy, but right now, I need you to get up off your ass and get to work. You’re pinned down and these bastards aren’t stopping anytime soon.” The gruff determination in Noah’s voice snapped Murray out of his stupor.
“Yeah, heard you the first time.” He got to his feet and the world spun. Murray sucked air as he gut-checked himself. The noise around him startled him as haziness in his head began to clear.
Screams from those injured in the explosion surrounded him. The sheer chaos was enough for him to lose his shit. People shoved and pushed their way into the tunnel leading to the exit, while those Federales not with Noah picked them off one at a time. Life was life. None of them deserved to die. No matter who they were, Federales weren't judge, jury or executioners for those people. However, it would appear, whoever paid off the Federales, didn't care. This was a cleanup for them. To make all of Raul's business dealings disappear. Or, perhaps, something more nefarious.
Murray took a step and his knees buckled, causing him to have to brace himself on the wall beside him. They must have been closer to the impact of the explosion than he thought. His heart hammered and his head swam. Concussions big or small were shitty at best and he knew the signs, nonetheless, he couldn't stop. People were counting on them. He pushed off the wall and put one foot in front of the other. The more he moved the easier it was to think. As he hurried across the debris, he covered his face as a canister was thrown into the middle of the room.
"Flashbang! Flashbang!" Noah yelled.
Son of a Bitch. When he found the bastard who sold them out, he was going to take his time killing them. He crouched and turned away from the blast. When he was clear, he stood again and continued running to the right. He didn’t know where he was going or what he’d find there, but being in the middle of the room was going to get him killed.
The pop, pop, pop of semi-automatic weapons drew his attention to the entrance of the building where a Bearcat had breached the building. A second Humvee had been parked catty-corner to it and both of the turrets were open. Two men wearing Federales uniforms picked people off left and right. If they were going to get out of there alive, those two be the first to go down.
“Do you have the shot,” Murray shouted.
“Fuckers keep using their vehicles as cover. I’ve almost got their timing down.” The crack of his sniper rifle sounded as another man fell near the entrance of the building. “Once I get them, make your move.”
"I'm kind of not dressed for this shit," Murray muttered. "At least I have boots on or else I'd be fucked."
“Fuck,” Noah snarled.
“Hey!”
Murray's attention snapped in the direction the voice came from. There stood Oscar. His shirt had blood and grime on it. There was a cut above his eye and if Murray didn't know any better, he'd been shot in the left shoulder. "What the fuck you want?"
The man threw an AR-15 at Murray then smirked. “Think you can do some damage?”
Fuck yeah, he could. “On it.” He found a space where he could hide while also taking out the enemy. He glanced at Oscar who’d joined him. “Who the fuck are you?”
“Santiago Velasquez,” the man said. “Sorry about earlier.”
Murray didn't know if he wanted to beat the shit out of the guy or hug him. Instead, he focused his ire at the group of Federales infiltrating the club. "You're an asshole."
“So I’ve been told,” Santiago said. “If we don’t get some support soon, we’re going to be fucked.”
“Going to be?” Murray popped his head up and began firing again. “I think we already are. Where’s my sister and Jaqueline?”
“Jaqueline safe, I have her in a room.” Santiago peeked around the corner of their hiding place and took out two more men. “I did the best I could considering. I couldn’t find Hannah.”
“She’s out there somewhere?” The accusation hung heavy between them.
“I’m sorry. We got separated. Not like I was expecting the whole front of the building to come down on us,” Santiago snarled. “What happened to the plan?”
"The plan got shot to shit the minute the Federales changed sides," Noah replied. "Now, shut the fuck up and fight."
Murray grunted. “Fine by me.”
“Understood,” Santiago replied. “Shit. Get down!”
Murray braced for the flashbang then shouted, "We have to get out there. We're sitting ducks."
He popped his head over the counter where he crouched and caught a glimpse of Thomas and AJ a black cylinder floated in the air behind them. Murray lowered himself as the flashbang went off. Son of a bitch. If they didn't kill the bastards in the turrets, they'd never get out of there. As it was, they were outnumbered and outgunned.
“Fuck yes. One down. One to go,” Noah said.
Santiago lifted his head. “Time to move.”
Noah was picking Federales off left and right as they continued to open fire on the people inside the club. Santiago had joined Thomas along with Miguel as they moved through the club taking out the ones Noah couldn't snipe. The initial blast had thrown Murray farther away than he'd realized. He came out from behind the small table and opened fire, picking those Federales who'd been shooting at them.
The smoke made it hard to see, which also meant trying to find Hannah was nearly impossible. Wherever she was, he hoped she was safe for all of their sakes. He pushed through the area, clearing it one person at a time. Beside him, Thomas and Miguel fought shoulder to shoulder while he and Santiago did the same. Another black canister was lobbed in their direction and this time, Murray was prepared. He went to one knee and turned away from it, covering his ears. He counted to ten then turned back around and began his assault again, determined to make his way through.
He came up to where Thomas was pinned down with AJ and slid behind their makeshift cover. All three were firing through the thick oppressive air trying to make some headway and take back control of the mission. It felt like a losing proposition though. For every person they killed, another one took their place and opened fire. Murray feared if they didn’t get some relief soon, they were all good as dead. “Where’s Hannah?” He fired off another round. “I lost her in the blast.”
“Same for Christian,” Luca snapped, joining them. “This shit has got to come to a fucking end.”<
br />
"Who fucking snitched," Duncan yelled. "What fucking Federales got jumpy?"
“Don’t give a fuck right now,” Thomas answered. “I’m blind in here and I can’t find our targets.”
"Secure the scene by all means necessary," Asher's voice cut through the communications. "We've been given authorization through the Mexican government and the US government. There is a Mexican Special Forces group inbound. ETA five minutes."
"Thank fuck," Noah muttered, though there was no relief in his tone. "Roger that. You heard him, everyone. Hold your position and keep the Federales from advancing. Make sure you reacquire the targets. Your mission has now changed from recovery to an active mission. Take out the enemy."
“Roger that,” Thomas glanced down at AJ who was a little too wide-eyed for Murray’s liking. “You ready to kick ass?”
She shook her head. “No.”
"Suck it up, baby girl. It's time to go to work." He handed her his gun. "Protect yourself and don't get killed." Thomas kissed her then. Murray rolled his eyes. The guy was crazy. Hell, they were all were. Had to be with the kind of job they had.
Santiago whistled, catching their attention. He threw another AK-47 in Thomas' direction. He grabbed it in midair, cocked the rifle and brought it to his shoulder as pushed AJ in a direction of safety while also shooting at the Federales who'd begun firing on the civilians trying to get out of the building. Murray joined him along with Miguel. They went slow and methodical, taking out the cluster of Federales one by one. They always had contingency plans in situations like this, but having the one person who was supposed to be backing them up, actually turn out to be the enemy, well, no one could ever plan for that. Colombia should have taught them that.
