It was late in the afternoon on Thursday as he sat slouched in his car, parked in one of the lots favoured by students on the edge of campus. Spring weather had finally come and the days were getting longer. The first buds of the season were sprouting. He liked this time of year. With the changing weather, the girls started shucking their heavy jackets, letting their nubile young bodies enjoy the warming sun.

He sat quietly, watching as the students strolled by, some in groups, some alone, some walking right past on their way home, some coming into the parking lot to pick up their vehicles. He was enjoying the freedom he had right now. It had driven him crazy, knowing the cops were always around, watching. He figured the lawyer would put a scare into them, but it wouldn't be enough to call off the dogs entirely-and he'd been right about that. It was amazing how sloppy and obvious they were, so unaware that a university like this had so many exit doors leading out of the big old buildings. Plus, what he really liked were the underground tunnels leading between a few of the buildings. It didn't take much to elude their watching eye, and now he was free to proceed with his favourite hobby.

He spotted her blonde hair first, tied back in a ponytail that swung rhythmically back and forth with each step. She had a knapsack slung over one shoulder, her coat draped over the other arm. And she was alone-he liked that. He watched as she got closer, checking out her body decked out in jeans and a tight red sweater. Yes, very nice, very nice indeed. She looked to be about five-six, the perfect height too. He couldn't see if she had blue eyes from this distance, but that wasn't a deal-breaker.

She turned into the parking lot and started walking in his direction. He felt himself getting hard as he looked at her, liking the way those jeans and that tight sweater fit her body. He felt his heart pounding in his chest as she walked right past the front of his car, continuing to look straight ahead. Yes, this one, this one would look good with the marks he planned on putting on her. There'd be no arrow for this one, no-he had something different in mind for her.

He sat up and watched as she got into a car about six spaces down the row from his. He started his car and waited until she drove towards the gate, taking note of the red Toyota Matrix she was driving. As she drove past him, he slipped his car into drive, following her out.
