Unapologetically (Brighton Academy Series Book 4) Page 10

by Cala Riley

The noises coming out of her are subdued, but when I add a second finger, curling it up to hit her G-spot, she screams out. Her shyness is long gone as her hands reach down to tangle in my hair. She’s moaning and calling out my name, making me never want to stop.

As I feel her clench my fingers harder with each thrust, I mimic the pace with my tongue. I know she’s close when her moans are higher pitched and my fingers are finding resistance. That’s when I nip her clit, making her fall over the edge, my name on those beautiful, plump lips.

I continue to lick her as she comes down, my fingers slipping out once the last tremor rolls through her body. I kiss her pussy once more before bringing myself up her body.

  “Was that fun?” I tease.

Her dazed eyes meet mine. “Yes, but I need more.”

“Oh yeah? What more do you need?” I lean in, nipping her bottom lip before thrusting my tongue in her mouth, allowing her to taste herself on my lips.

Moaning, she pulls back. “I taste good on your lips.” She winks. “I need you inside me. Now. No more stalling.”

“Yes, ma’am.” Leaning up, I pull my boxers off before grabbing a condom.

I stroke myself a few times as I look at the sight before me—Tinsley lying on her back, legs still wide open, giving me the perfect view of her pussy.

“Fuck, Tinsley. I’m not going to last a second inside you.”

She gives me a knowing smile. “Come on, Fin. You might make it two seconds.”

Fuck if I don’t love that sassy mouth. Even after an orgasm, the woman can tease me.

  Fuck, I love this woman.

The thought makes me pause, but only for a moment. It scares me, but it feels right.

  She feels right.

Pushing my thoughts away, I put the condom on before settling back between her legs.

I kiss her, my tongue finding no resistance to enter her mouth. After she’s breathless again, I lean back. “Are you sure about this? We can’t take it back.”

She gives me a sexy-as-fuck smile. “You’re the only person I have ever wanted to do this with. Whether or not you knew it, my virginity has always belonged to you. I want—no, I need you to take it. It feels right.”

Damn if I don’t agree. This moment feels exactly how it should.

Pausing at her entrance, I bring one hand up to cup her face. The look of utter devotion in her eyes seals it for me.

She wants this. She wants me.

  She makes me feel invincible.

I would do anything for this woman.

Pressing my forehead to hers, I push my hips forward slowly, stopping once I’m all the way inside her.

Tears form at the corner of her eyes, making my chest tighten.

“Baby, are you okay?” I whisper.

  “Yes. I’m fine. Move, please.”

When I hesitate, she bucks her hips, making me move. Slowly, I pull out before pushing back in just as slow.

As I continue my movements, her body relaxes. The tears in her eyes disappear, replaced by a look of pure lust. When her hips meet my thrusts, I pick up the pace.

At her first moan, I clench my ass while biting my lip, barely stopping myself from spilling my load.

Reaching between us, I find her clit, circling it with my thumb as I continue to thrust in. I meet her eyes as she comes, clenching my cock tighter than anything I’ve ever felt before. I follow her over the edge, jerking inside her.

I settle over her, kissing her cheeks, lips, forehead, and anything else I can get to. After a couple of moments, she grabs my face and presses her lips firmly to mine.

“That was amazing.” She meets my eyes, showing me she means every word.

I slip out of her before kissing the tip of her nose. “I’ll be right back.”

Heading to the bathroom, I tie off the condom and toss it into the trash. Then I grab a washcloth and wet it. As I make my way back into the room, I find Tinsley covering herself with her discarded towel.

I yank it from her and push her back against the bed. “No hiding from me, babe.”

She hesitates only a moment before opening her legs as I kneel in front of her. Then I clean up the evidence that she’s a woman now. When I’m finished, I toss the washcloth in the corner before pulling back my blankets and sheets to slide under. Then I motion for her to slip under with me.

As she settles her body into mine, I whisper into her ear, “Thank you for giving me that gift. It means the world to me. I’ll never forget it.”

Turning in my arms, she kisses me softly. “Thank you, Finley. It’s what I always imagined it would be.”

Pulling her head to my chest, I listen as her breaths even out. Long after she passes out, I lie awake, praying to a God I have never believed in that this could be my future, that I could wake up every single day with one of his angels by my side.

That this feeling never goes away.

A phone ringing wakes me from my slumber. I must’ve fallen asleep at some point because morning sun now filters through my window. I look down, smiling as I see the beautiful brunette still in my arms.

I squeeze her as I lean down to kiss her head.

“I don’t want to wake up,” she groans.

The noise stops but starts up again. She huffs as she rolls over to search for her phone. When she doesn’t find it easily, she stumbles from the bed, searching.

My morning wood turns into something more as I watch her search my room in nothing but what God gave her. All the blood in my body rushes to the appendage as I stare at her body.

“Are you going to stare or are you going to help me find my phone?”

Shaking my head, I get up and grab her jeans from the floor, finding the phone in the pocket. I toss it to her, hitting her in the chest. It drops to the floor as her eyes focus on my naked body. My dick twitches as her eyes roam over him, causing her eyes to widen slightly.

The phone rings for a third time, shaking her from her stupor.

  “What?” she bites out.

I can’t hear the person on the other end, but her wide eyes meet mine.

“I’m sorry. I meant to come home, but I fell asleep,” she huffs.

The person on the phone says something else that irritates her.

“Is that what you think of me? That I would do that?” She winces but continues. “Didn’t Keaton tell you I was going out with Finley?”

I sit on the edge of the bed, watching her.

“I fell asleep watching movies at his house. I’m sorry, it was an accident, but I’m fine. Finley wouldn’t do anything to hurt me.”

I know she’s talking to Reed. Guilt eats at me as I think about all the things I did to his baby sister last night. He will never forgive me for this, but I don’t think I want him to.

When her eyes meet mine, she offers a shy smile as she makes her way towards me.

“I’ll be home soon. We can talk then.” She hangs up the phone and tosses it on the floor.

“Come here,” I demand. A feeling of elation filling me as she does as I ask. Once she’s in front of me, I pull her onto my lap and lean forward to kiss her. She lets me but then pulls back, covering her mouth.

“I need to brush my teeth first.”

I pull her hand away and capture her lips with mine. She gives in easily. After making out for a couple of minutes, I pull back. “Don’t ever deny me your lips.”

She bites her lip. “Does this mean I can kiss you whenever I want?”

I lean in, biting her lip as soon as she lets it go. “It means I’m yours and you’re mine. If you want anything from me, it’s yours to take. Always.”

She smiles and leans in to kiss me.

Before we get too heated, a noise in the hall startles me.

Scooting her from my lap, I make my way to my door. When I open it, I find a man I don’t know taking a painting.

“What the fuck do you think you’re doing?” I spit out.

  He glances at me, drop
s the painting, then takes off running.

I shut the door, shaking my head.

  “What was that?” Tinsley asks.

“Another one of my mom’s one-night stands attempting to steal from us. Come on, jump in the shower. I’ll take you home.”

A naughty smile covers her face. “Come with me?”

  Chapter Eight

  Finley

After taking Tinsley home, I come back to confront my mother. I know she’s sick, but being with Tinsley has shown me I can’t let her walk all over me. I deserve to be happy. I don’t have to take all her shit.

Tinsley was strong enough to stand up to her father, so I should be strong enough to stand up to my mother.

After making my way to her room, I knock on her door.

“Yes?” her voice calls from inside.

  “We need to talk.”

She comes to the door moments later, my robe wrapped tightly around her body.

“What is it?” Her tense voice tells me she's not doing well today.

“I caught another one of your fuck toys trying to steal this morning.” I gauge her reaction.

“Don’t talk that way about my company. Don’t think I didn’t notice you escorting a pretty little brunette from the house.”

I growl, which only makes her smile more.

“Did I hit a nerve? Who was she? She looked like that young Yates girl. Do your best friends know you're boning their sister?”

I cringe. My mother has never had a filter. Stepping closer, I glower at her.

“Do not talk about her. Ever.” I can’t help the fury from rolling off of me.

Tinsley is the only light in my life. My mother can’t touch that.

She tsks. “Ensnared by a sweet honey pot. Like every other man. Enjoy it while you can. Before long, you’ll lose interest, looking for another less fucked-up body.”

Her words cause me to pause. She’s not talking about Tinsley.

For a moment, I see the mother I used to know, the one that was here right after Dad left for New York.

“Tinsley’s not fucked up. She’s perfect.”

Mom gives me a sad smile. “He used to say that about me too. He still left.”

“I’m not Dad,” I ground out through gritted teeth.

“No, but you’re a man. Men are all the same. Only looking for one thing. A wet and willing pussy. Don’t think I don’t hear all the whispers about my son. For fuck’s sake, I had to pay off a school official to cover up the fact that you fucked a goddamn teacher your junior year.”

My eyes widen as I take a step back.

“Oh? You thought your father did that? That was me. I know how you look at me. Your poor bipolar mother who can’t get her shit together. I know what you think of me. How you look at me. I don’t need it. If you want to be like that, you can fucking leave.” Her eyes become more crazed with every word rolling off her tongue.

“Maybe we should call Dr. Jones.” I pull out my phone.

“Don’t waste your time. Seems he couldn’t keep his dick in his pants any more than the next man. I fired him after I fucked him at the end of the summer. He was a real good fuck too,” she says wistfully.

I grit my teeth. I spent my entire summer here with her, watching her every move. Making sure she took her pills. Being the parent in this fucked-up reverse dynamic.

I couldn’t save her from her own fucking therapist.

“Fine, we’ll find you a new one. A female, if it’ll make you more comfortable.” I rub my hand across my neck.

“No.” I barely duck in time to miss the vase sailing my way. “I don’t need anyone. I don’t need the medicine. I’m fine. Why can’t you accept me for who I am? Why are you always such a little pussy, begging for mommy dearest to change? Why can’t you just leave me the fuck alone?”

I stand back as she goes into full meltdown, throwing anything she can find.

Normally, I would jump in and stop her, but I can’t. Not today. I can’t do it anymore.

Pulling up a number I never thought I would have to use, I press Call.

“How can we assist you?” the polite voice on the other end asks.

“I need help,” I admit softly.

I tell the Secretum Societatis receptionist everything. By the end, tears fill my eyes as I finally bring someone other than Tinsley into this messed-up situation.

My mother is still tearing apart her room as the woman takes down the information.

“Someone will be at your home in thirty minutes. Do you need me to wait on the phone with you?”

“No.” I swallow hard. “The door’s open.”

As we hang up, I slide down the wall, watching the latest fucked-up scene in my fucked-up life. Another reminder of why I should have never touched Tinsley. This could be me one day. I could be this fucked-up, bipolar person. Even worse, I could hurt her. Mom’s hurt me before. When I was trying to stop her from hurting herself, she lashed out at me.

Even if I stepped in, she would fight me, leaving new scars to go along with the old.

  I let out a sigh.

I’m not angry. I’m disappointed. Disappointed that I never had the mother I should have had. I’m desperate for a solution. Defeated. I’m not enough anymore. I can’t be what she needs.

Once the sounds of breaking items quiet, I make my way back into the room, finding my mother sobbing on her closet floor. Walking over, I sink onto the floor next to her, pulling her in my arms.

“Finley, honey, I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Why am I like this? Did I hurt you? Please tell me I didn’t hurt you.”

My eyes tear up as she clings to my chest, sobbing. Her mood swings are never stable. She can be angry for days, then have days of low. Or she can go from being angry to sad within seconds.

“It’s okay, Mom. I’m fine. I’m not hurt.” I choke back the emotion in my voice as I stroke her hair. “You’re going to be okay, Mom. Everything will be okay.”

I don’t think she hears my words over her frantic apologizes and self-demeaning comments, but it makes me feel calmer to talk to her. I like to think the humming in my chest is calming with each word spoken.

By the time help arrives, Mom is sleeping against me.

  “Abbot?” the man asks.

I’ve never met this man before, but I have to trust him.

  “That’s me.”

He looks at me with no judgement, which I’m grateful for. I’m sure my cheeks are stained with tears, but I can’t stop to care.

“We’ve got her, son. We’ll take it from here. Why don’t you go clean up while we get her ready to go? When you get back, someone will be here to talk to you.”

“She won’t go willingly.” I continue to hold her, meeting his eyes.

“We’ll give her a mild sedative to get her transported.”

Another man walks into the room behind this one.

Shaking my mother awake, I whisper to her, “Mom, you have guests.”

Her eyes open as she looks up at the men. Her eyes turn hungry as she takes in their appearance.

“Thank you for waking me, honey. Go run off to your room now.” She sits up straighter, pulling away from me.

I kiss her head before exiting the room. I can hear her ask their names, but they don’t answer her. Her tone turns sultry as she promises them a good time, but they don’t say a word.

A strangled cry bursts out of her, making me halt my steps down the hall, but it tapers off into a drug-induced moan.

Not wanting to see my mother being carried out, I hustle down the hall into the bathroom. After washing my face and taking a couple of much needed breaths, I head back out into the hall. At the end, a woman stands, typing on a tablet.

As I approach, she looks up at me.

“Mr. Abbot, it’s a shame to meet you under such circumstances. I need your signature here, releasing your mother into our care.”

  Nodding, I sign the document.

“Great. What’ll happen next is up to you. We’ll take her and have her evaluated. Then we’ll come up with options for you to consider. I highly suggest you have a support team. This won’t be easy on you. I see in her records she’s married. Is your father around?”

“He’s in New York.” I look down to my feet.

“I think it’s best he is notified of the situation, but it’s completely up to you. You’re our client, not him.”

I nod, relenting. “I’ve dealt with this on my own for years. I need help. If you think we should call him,” I stutter on my words, “then I... I’ll call him.”

Her empathetic eyes meet mine. “We could call him for you, if you’d like.”

A relieved sigh escapes me. “I would appreciate that.”

Nodding, she reaches out to squeeze my arm. “You’re a great son. It must have been hard to grow up while also being the adult. This isn’t all on you anymore. We’re here to help.”

I nod my thanks before she leaves.

Taking out my phone, I call the one person who can help me now.

“Baby?” Her soft voice acts as a balm to my soul.

  Tinsley

I know something is up with Finley. We only talked for a few minutes but it was enough. The thought that something might be wrong keeps nagging at me. Pulling my phone out, my finger hovers over the Find Your Friend app.

Biting my lip, I go over a list of pros and cons to what I am considering.

Pro: If he is in trouble, I could help him.

Con: If he isn’t, he might be pissed that I showed up randomly.

Pro: He may be having a hard time and be happy to see me.

Con: He may be fucking a skank or, even worse, one of my teachers.

I shiver at the last thought. I still vividly remember when I walked in on him fucking Ms. Wheeler.

Remembering the way he said goodbye when we got off the phone is the deciding factor. I couldn’t live with myself if anything happened to him and I could have stopped it.

Clicking on the app, I go to his number. I smile when I see that he hasn’t deactivated it. He made me add this to my phone after I went on my first date two years ago. He always wanted to know where I was. I told him I would only agree if he also added it on his.
