My eyes shine and bulge obscenely when he sticks his tongue in from behind. He knows not to let one single moment go to waste. His words about the future being uncertain stick with me. I press against his face and I can hear him having trouble breathing, but he doesn’t try to pull away.
It’s too good to put into words and I echo that sentiment with my voice rising to a higher decibel to spur him on.
“Jake...you do know how to shine a light on my excitement. I don’t mind telling you what you are doing feels amazing. I want you to take me now,” I say the words and his tongue goes into this super speed until my legs are quaking with my hands barely able to keep up with the demand of his oral gratification.
My legs give out and he follows me down with his hands on my hips. My upper body is on the mattress as I’m bent over at a pleasing angle with the target of his desire right in front of him. I can feel his fingers preparing me and then the head is slowly injected, forcing those lips to pull apart to receive the strength of his dominance.
He doesn’t stop until he is buried to the root.
I can’t speak when he starts to move back and forth with his hips doing the work. It’s not long before his sexual appetite rivals my own. I can hear the continuous thwack of his body smacking against me. I’m taking it soundly with moans that travel like a chorus throughout my entire home.
He lifts me to my feet and pushes me up against the wall with my face against the window. He pushes into me with long, steady strokes, and the feeling of being completely filled forces me to shut my eyes tightly. My whole body is on fire and I’m starting to get a little light-headed from the overstimulation.
Jake bites my neck and I swear I see stars flickering behind my eyelids. He forces my legs apart by using his right foot. I can feel every inch riding along my quivering walls. A hand comes around and touches me, inciting a riot inside of me.
“I want it all. Keep doing what you’re doing and I’m going to cum again,” I say with my words rushed until he is joining me.
He returns his hand to my waist to get a good base and thrusts into me harder than I thought possible. The intense orgasm starts at my toes and rides all the way up my body until I explode all over his manhood, screaming, “Jake, I’m coming...!”
While I am lost in total bliss from the earth-shattering release, I can feel Jake empty his pistol with repeated shots deep inside me. He doesn’t disappoint and gives me a warm glow down below.
We both fall back to the edge of the bed to catch our breath. My body is trying to calm down after every fiber has been singed with his passion.
He is the man I have been searching for this whole time, to give me this wonderful feeling of being special to someone. His name is on the tip of my tongue and I sigh with contentment, until I catch something out of the corner of my eye.
In the doorway are Amber, Stephanie, Michelle, and Rachel. They are giving us a standing ovation and I slap my forehead, remembering that book club is at my house this week. They let themselves in and heard our exclamations of passion for each other.
I put on a robe and go out to talk with them. They look at me, bemused by the situation.
Stephanie is giving that look of disapproval, like she is my mom, and I just have to stand up for myself.
“Stephanie, I know this isn’t exactly like me, but did you see him? I dare any of you to say that you wouldn’t have done the same thing in my shoes. I still feel this glow and I hope it lasts. I think we all know the feeling,” I address the group and there is a simultaneous confirmation with deep sighs.
“I don’t think there is anything wrong with enjoying yourself, as long as you know where you stand. It’s always good at the beginning until it’s not,” Stephanie retorts and it’s obvious she’s been down the painful road where the pleasure is outweighed by the misery of losing the man that knew her body better than anybody.
“We have to give our friend the benefit of the doubt. She might have lost her mind, but I would trade places with her in a second,” Rachel chimes in.
“Don’t quote me, but I think she found her lightning in a bottle. I’m a little jealous, but what woman in their right mind wouldn’t be after witnessing something like that?” she questions.
“Chloe, I’m just worried about you. You are so easily trusting, and you don’t know anything about this man. Are you sure you are doing the right thing?” Stephanie asks as Jake strolls in shirtless, bringing the conversation to an end.
“Don’t look now...we have company,” Michelle announces and points, with the others turning to see him framed in the doorway.
“That’s...Jake,” I announce with a flush to my cheeks.
“Don’t just stand there; come in here where we can see you. I know I would regret not asking the question everybody is thinking...But...are there more like you?” Michelle laughs out loud with her flaming red hair.
“I want to introduce you to my friends from the book club. I’m sometimes a little scatterbrained when it comes to dates. I didn’t remember they were scheduled to arrive. Let’s just say I had something else on my mind.” I make the necessary introductions and he nods his head to each one of them.
They all stare at the muscles they couldn’t see before. They can’t get over his physique, and that’s only the part that is exposed. I can only imagine their reaction if his pants came down a little. That is one part I’m going to keep private, no matter how much I want to share. It would be nice to let them in on the secret though.
I pat the spot next to me for him to sit down and I observe my friends as he sits. All but Stephanie are undressing him with their eyes, but she has this glare like she is looking into his soul. I think it makes him a little uncomfortable, but he doesn’t let it bother him.
“If nobody else is going to say it, then I will. What are your intentions? I’m sorry if you feel like I’m being too forward, but Chloe means the world to me. I don’t want you to promise her something that you can’t deliver on. We’ve all had that one man leave us breathless, but that flame is never meant to burn forever. Can you honestly tell me you have honorable intentions?” Stephanie lets it all fly.
“There’s no reason to put him on the spot like that. I appreciate your concern but I’m a big girl and I know how to take care of myself. We’re having fun and he makes me feel special,” I explain, while looking at him to see how he’s going to respond.
“Chloe, it’s ok. A good friend will ask the hard questions and I commend her for looking out for you. Stephanie, I can sit here and say a whole bunch of nice words, but I just ask you to watch my actions and then judge me,” Jake answers in a calm but uncompromising manner.
I just have to chime in. “Steph, he has a good heart and knows the difference between right and wrong. He treats me like a queen. It didn’t hurt for him to come to my rescue. I’m not sure I would be here without him. I don’t like to admit this, but I was frozen when that man came out of nowhere. I’ve never been more afraid in my life than when I was staring down the barrel of that gun.” He sees me getting a little upset and puts a comforting hand around my shoulder until I’m nestled against his chest.
Jake keeps looking at me and I can’t hide the fire that continues to rage between us. It’s loving and full of emotion. I have never had any man look at me like this, and I don’t want it to end anytime soon.
Ch 6 - Jake
These last few weeks have been the most peaceful ones I have known in many years.
I’m not looking any further than today and making the most of it. I have been known to live in the past, but I’m really doing my best to change that. Chloe has helped me a lot in that area and I want to be the type of man to live in the present for her, when the future isn’t certain for all of us. There’s no telling what will happen tomorrow or next week.
The only thing I have done in the past is run when things got too deep emotionally. There was this metaphorical cardboard cutout of my body going through the door. I know it was cowardly to leave, but I
rationalized it by telling myself it was best to save them some pain in the future.
I can easily do the same thing here, but I don’t want to.
Chloe has captured me, and she doesn’t even know that her hooks are hard to escape from. I’m not sure what it is about her, but she seems to see right through me to the heart of the matter. In the past, I always found thinking about the idea of being with one woman for the rest of my life to be suffocating. Whenever the subject came up, I always changed the topic of conversation. This is a little different. I’m finding that the more time I spend with Chloe, the more she is making me understand those songs on the radio I never paid attention to before.
When I am holding Chloe tight, I want her to know this is where I want to be. I don’t feel like I’m on my knees begging for her acceptance, I can be myself entirely, without putting on airs. It’s nice to let down my guard but I’m still cautious, because I know from past experience, things can unravel rather quickly.
My serene morning is ruined by the ring of my phone and looking at the caller ID, I know what this will be.
“Yes, Sir. Will do.” My new assignment has come in and now I have to leave her behind.
“You get the same call, Shane?” I ask. Shane and I have been working on the same teams since our first tour overseas, and I followed him to this company when my contract was up. Even though he got me in, I am still team leader and responsible for everyone’s safety. He is great at what he does, and we are almost like brothers, we are so tight.
“Yup, sure did. This sounds like a longer one than usual. Are you going to be OK?” Shane asks.
“What the hell is that supposed to mean? Of course, I am OK! This is what I have done my whole life, why would this be any different?” I bark back at him.
“Well, this will be the first time that you will be thinking about a girl back home while you are working. Might change how you operate.”
“Shane, I am a professional and my duty to my men will always come first; you know that,” I state with pride.
“I know Jake, but that’s easy to say now, while we are overlooking this beautiful beach and hearing the laughter of people playing on it. You know as well as I do that things can get pretty hairy over there in a hurry, and any lapse in focus can make a grave impact,” Shane reminds me.
“What are you suggesting I do, then? Drop Chloe, so I’m not distracted?” I volley back at him.
“Not saying that at all, but you have to get your affairs in order before we board that plane tomorrow and you know it,” Shane calmly states.
Shane’s right about everything and I do need to go talk to her, but what exactly am I going to be asking of her? It sounds so childish to ask her to wait for me; besides, we aren’t going to be gone that long. I’m not going to promise some kind of call schedule where I call her to say, “good night.” My communication back to the States while I am working is very limited and unpredictable.
Heck, I don’t even know how she feels about me; we have never talked about it.
I get all my busy work preparing for tomorrow out of the way, but the weight of thinking about Chloe has sure slowed me down. Maybe there is more to what Shane said than I gave it credit. I can’t be like this over there, or someone will get hurt.
Needing to meet this head-on, I put on my shoes and head off to her place.
Rehearsing over and over the different things I want to say to her makes the walk go by in blur. With my palms unusually sweaty, I knock on her door.
She greets me with a huge smile and a nice warm embrace. I step through the entry way and make my way over to the couch before I lose my nerve and take her to the bedroom.
Ch 7 - Chloe
In the past month, we have christened every room in the house, and we even went outside once on the beach when it was raining. I’m still finding sand in places it shouldn’t be. I’m sure glad that one position wasn’t going to be enough for him. I like a variety of positions and places to spice things up and keep it fresh. It’s hard to believe, but since his wound has healed, it feels like he has gotten even stronger when he thrusts inside of me. I never knew I could take it so hard and still enjoy it.
But it’s not just about the sex with him, I like that he is constantly surprising me by going that extra mile. It’s the little things, like waking up and finding a note on the mirror. The breakfast in bed or the flowers on the kitchen table are just some of the ways he fills my spirit. He is not the most expressive person with his words, but his actions tell a vivid enough story of how he feels for me.
A knock at the door pulls me from my latest Jake daydream.
“Hey babe, I was just thinking about you.” A wonderful surprise-filled smile overtakes my face and I warp my arms around him.
Something must be on his mind; he doesn’t respond to my greeting and goes straight to the couch. He has a serious, puzzled look on his face, like he doesn’t know where to begin.
“Chloe, I need you to know that I got a new detail and I leave first thing in the morning. And...um, sorry, I’m not very good at this...I’ve never had to do it before.” He’s fumbling around as if he is searching for the perfect thing to say.
“Jake, what are you trying to tell me?”
He peers in with his brilliant blue eyes, “I want you to know that there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you. You mean the world to me, but this is what I’m good at. It gives me a sense of purpose, like you have with your volunteering.”
I completely melt as he proceeds to tell me he has fallen for me hard and I admit the same thing to him. It’s a three-alarm fire in between my legs as he extolls his feelings for me. Not that I doubted them, but hearing the words said aloud has my heart racing. Even though we both know that we want nothing more than to go back and burn up the sheets with our passion for each other, this is a conversation that needs to conclude first.
I’m worried, but I know he’s going to be extra careful because he now has something to come home to. Now I’m sure glad I took him up on his offer to take a tour of the private security office last week. It was his way of assuaging my fears and it worked.
The men he works with are friendly and welcomed me into the inner circle, and they even told me about their relationships. I have a feeling Jake put them up to it, but it’s still nice to know how far he is willing to go to make this work.
The whole idea of him making an honest woman out of me is never brought up and I let him know that’s ok.
“I will never give you an ultimatum. I understand what you do is important. Just remember; there is more to life than the job,” I plead, with my hands grabbing his shoulders.
“I have news for you as well...I quit my job. You gave me the courage to do something bold, so I started a non-profit group for impoverished children.”
“Wow, that’s amazing! You’ve always wanted to make a difference. I just want you to be happy, that is the only thing that matters to me. I’m glad you found something that can fulfill you. The love I have for you scares me, but it also gives me a glimpse of what real happiness is,” he expresses with a sparkle in his eyes that I have never seen before.
Did he just say the “L” word? I’d better say something, or it is just going to sit there in suspended animation.
“Jake, I can say the same about you. I know you don’t have the same compassion as I do, but it was nice of you to volunteer at the soup kitchen with me the other day. I could see this glimmer of hope you found when you were giving yourself. You have become the man I can’t live without. I love you!”
He kisses me deeply and I start to melt all over again. I reach over and turn on some country music to set the mood. The sun is going down and I discreetly take Jake’s hand and guide him into the room where it all started. I light some scented candles in each corner of the room. It’s my way of introducing a little bit of romance into an affair that has burned the sheets too many times to count.
Epilogue - Chloe
It has been six weeks to the
day, and he is about to come through those doors. He called me from the airport which was only a few miles away. I wanted to meet him in person, but he said there was no need.
I’m finally able to breathe again after several nights of restless slumber. I know what I’m going to say to him, but I know actions are going to speak louder.
I prepare accordingly with a fresh bottle of champagne on ice, and a medley of his favorite dishes, including crab legs. The fun is cracking into the shell without getting nicked. I love that little sting of the claw to get its last revenge.
I wait with this trench coat covering my dirty little secret. I plan to work up an appetite before dinner by giving in to those cravings for more than food.
I lose my train of thought when I hear the sound of the taxi grinding to a stop in front of the curb.
I go to the window and peek through the sun-colored curtains, anxious to see his smiling face.
He’s heaving a huge green duffel bag over his shoulder. Those muscles are bulging with the effort to carry it. I know something else he can use those strong arms on.
He’s coming up the walkway and he stops when he sees me in the window of the door.
Those same dazzling and hypnotic blue eyes hold me in their crosshairs. I open it before he has the chance and jump into his arms. My legs curl around his waist to feel the object of my desire rising with a full salute.
“We need to talk,” he utters and purposely lowers me back to the ground where I’m temporarily spellbound by words that usually precede a breakup.
There is always that nagging doubt in the back of my mind that he’s going to find something better. I don’t want to believe that this is my worst fear coming to life.
