  Glancing at the tall beauty who gave him a demure smile after her father's request he admired her slight curves and impressive bust and hips for a mermaid whose race he noticed tended towards tall and slim allowing them to better cut through the waters of their home.

  Princess Stena was gorgeous, supermodel gorgeous even but he had a dragon back home that at that moment was moaning his name in need.

  Holding back a grumble as he let the beautiful woman lead him and his wives to the coral garden at the rear of the palace, trying not to think too hard about what or who he would rather be doing for a few hours.

  Matchmaker

  Chatting with the mermaid beauty Cade found was a pleasure he didn't know he had needed.

  Stena was an open attentive listener when I counted and her wit stung as well as made him laugh and the few time he had snuck a glance at her assets, to the mirth of his wives, he found he wanted to know what the supermodel mermaid looked like naked.

  Too bad she was in love with another man, or merman as he found out.

  Every time Tandef had swum over to join them with heartfelt concern for their wait, Cade had expected the suddenly mute woman to grow hearts in her eyes and throw herself into his arms.

  "She reminds me of someone, what do you think Sabine? If there wasn't water all around us I would expect a trail of drool to be falling from her lips every time he came around."

  His little firebrands mental comment made Sabine stifle a bout of giggles and his shaft swell as he imagined his pixie's depths clenching around him as she reached her bliss.

  "Yeah she wants him bad, what do you two say. What to play matchmaker so I don't tell the king to go fuck himself so we can go back home and take care of this."

  Sending a mental image of the growing tightness in his pants to the two people there who could and would help him if the prospect of being crushed under tons of water didn't put a damper on that idea, they both gave him regretful looks before agreeing with smiles at their horn dog of a husband.

  "Excuse me Tandef is there somewhere my wives and I can speak in private?"

  Taking his intense gaze from the smiling princess beside him Tandef gave Cade a confused look before directing them to a hallway just off the coral garden that would provide a bit of privacy.

  Giving the man his thanks Cade followed his wives to the small alcove and hid behind a coral tree to watch how the two would fare alone.

  Ready to smack them both on the back of their stupid blind heads a half-hour later Cade almost pushed their faces together before an idea struck him.

  Holding back a massive smile he sent his idea to his two accomplices before he implemented his dastardly plan.

  Giving himself a three-count to gather his focus and hoping to catch the two off guard he smashed through their mental defenses and forced the truth the two had been avoiding for the past thirty infuriating minutes.

  "I love you."

  As the two spoke the words to each other Cade and his two wives held back cackles of laughter after those three little words caused Stena to blush from the top of her pretty head to the tip of her coral tail and Tandef to stare disbelievingly at the mermaid beauty that had just confessed her love to him with his mouth wide open.

  A snort of overwhelming mirth left Cade's nose as his sweet hyperventilated as she fought her own laughter and his dwarven wife covered her mouth to muffle her scream of suppressed laughter as the two stared at each other for several long moments.

  Their sudden kiss of passion caused them all to cheer quietly for the new happy couple.

  Enjoying their own celebration with shield covered kisses and shield covered hands caressing shield covered bodies, Cade was moments from begging off meeting with the king in an hour to go home and remove the barrier preventing him from touching his wives delectable bodies before a slightly amused "Uhm-hum" ended their party and froze them in their groping tracks.

  "I was wondering when they would figure it out, twenty years those two have been dancing around at each other without the courage to act on their feelings. I think my husband and I owe you thanks Mage Cade, my daughter seems to be more than occupied at the moment or I believe she would offer hers too."

  Caught in the act of manipulating the princess of Protea and the commander of their forces by Queen Orsta he gave one more squeeze to his sweets soft ass with one hand and a healthy squeeze to his Beth's floating bosom with the other before standing and giving the smiling woman a playful bow.

  "We do aim to please, though matchmaking royalty usually comes with an extra cost."

  The short laugh from the Queen signaled all was well and gave them all a laugh as the two new lovers came apart suddenly.

  "We will name their firstborn after you now come matchmaker Cade, my husband and the military and civil councils have come to their decision and require your presence."

  Giving her a mock glare after her veiled order, Cade waited for her to fix her request.

  "Please"

  Nodding his ascent he followed his wives after the Queen with a smile directed back at the two they had brought together.

  Seeing them with fingers interlaced he couldn't be happier for them and as a bonus Cade: the godfather had a nice ring to it.

  Partitioning off the cleared area of water in his mind Cade sunk the huge block of mithril he had brought from his mine down under the sand until he hit bedrock.

  Spying his wives chatting with Orsta and Stena outside of his working area he gave Lundar and Tandef a smile as he created the dome at the boundary of his work area.

  After finishing the huge structure he focused on the water surrounding him, the king, and now prince consort and using the block of metal below them to fuel the action pushed the liquid out of the bubble.

  As the three stood with dry sand under the feet Cade tied the same enchantment he had used to allow him and his wives to breathe in their skintight shields to the dome and using the sand around them as material started creating the merfolks underwater air district.

  Forming shops in the areas dictated by the civil council and a few guardhouses for their military's contingent of volunteers that had expressed interest in staying in their bipedal forms to protect the district he next formed a coral themed library at the middle of the dome as the epicenter for learning and progress for the merman race.

  Tiered steps that led down into the depression he had made in the sandy bottom of the sea were decorated with a few of the historical scenes he had been shown in the week he had waited for this area to be cleared of old shops and homes.

  Hedging his bets on a few more contracts coming his and Zag's way he gave a little extra effort on rebuilding the homes he had destroyed while clearing the area and mimicked the overall coral theme of surrounding businesses on the outside of the remade homes.

  Adding one more touch to his construction efforts he pulled a small amount of mithril from the block below ground and made two shining bowls atop chest-high pillars of coral to each side of the library's entrance.

  Lighting fires in the two metal bowls he enchanted them to stay lit, slowly dying as the mithril underfoot was consumed.

  Once they went out the merfolk would have around a thousand years to add the block or their air district would become filled with water once again.

  "It is finished and my side of our agreement is complete. I ask when I call will you and yours answer?"

  The bows he received from the two men warmed his heart and again he thanked their common sense and adaptability that allowed them to see the possibility of greater prosperity for their people he offered.

  "We will answer your call, and what happens after we will see."

  Giving Lundar the same playful glare he received Cade clapped both of the tall men on their upper backs before smiling at their approaching wives.

  "We will defiantly see Lundar, but for now we will see how many of our procs our wives can spend."

  Laughing along with the two men as their wives cheered playfully after he
finished his statement he enjoyed what little bare skin he could feel against his as they made their way to buy as much of Protea as they could.

  Walking through their home as he made a few last-minute checks to make sure nothing and no one had been missed or stowed aboard their home Cade doubled back as he caught sight of his Mina in her office.

  Leaning against the door frame he watched with a smile as she scribbled onto a notepad as she made a few affirmative noises.

  His heart sped up as she pushed a stray strand of her long black hair behind her pointed ear in a motion so absently done that nevertheless made his soul ache with how much in love he was with this woman.

  Seeing his Dresk at work was as sexy as it was awe-inspiring, his Mina along with his Beth and Sabine kept a tight ship when it came to their businesses, and even as his pretty kitty swelled with his children she was hard at work ensuring his burgeoning empire ran smoothly.

  "Brains, beauty, and ferocity you seem to have it all my love."

  Her wide smile as she looked up at him hit him hard as his middle fluttered and if she had asked for anything at that moment he would have moved literal mountains to make her heart's desire come true.

  "That and more my Cade, though making our empire run as well as it does takes a good portion of my energy while your children attempt to drain the remainder. Daily I am reminded to be thankful for our uncle. Qetch has taken much of the load of convening with the city's and country's leaders off of my shoulders, our morning meetings have turned from... putting out flames? Fires? Yes, that is the term, to working on efficiency. I hope to have everyone involved in countrywide decisions united towards our goal of a peaceful, profitable empire before Fen and Kars are born."

  Smiling as he silently agreed he watched her eyes widen before she waved him over to her desk, excitement evident in her wide smile.

  "Come my mate they have woken up, come feel your children play."

  Chuckling at her glee he still skirted the line between flat out running to her side as he dropped to his knees between her spread legs and gave her his hand.

  He enjoyed the feeling of her soft hand on his as she slowly slid his over her gently rounded belly searching for their twin's small movements.

  Letting her guide his hand he enjoyed his own view of their babies as he scanned their tiny bodies and lost a few minutes of time as he watched their "play".

  As they began to explore the new world they were growing in he watched Kars flinch back from his hand as Mina pushed gently against her swollen belly with it and as her brother moved against her Fen flinched and tried to move away from him, bumping against the opposite side of her mother's womb.

  Watching them shift back and forth he left them to a nap exhausted by their play and looked into his wife's golden eyes.

  Closing his eyes and leaning his head into her soft hand he realized he had been crying as she wiped the tracks of them with a clawed thumb.

  "Thank you, my love."

  Rubbing his face against her hand he lifted her shirt with one hand and pulled her closer to him with the other on her chair before laying an ear to her middle and closing his eyes to enjoy the twin little heartbeats they had created.

  "You're welcome my Cade."

  Feeling her hands holding him lightly against her belly he couldn't think of one other thing he wanted at the moment, his babies were safe and growing like weeds and he would make the world their playground if it was the last thing he did.

  "Daddy loves you my Fen and Kars."

  Leaving his Mina to her work that she had let him interrupt Cade almost distracted her further after she had lifted him from her belly for a kiss that devolved into a bit more than she had expected.

  "Go, out my insatiable mate. I have work to finish and if I let you exhaust me further nothing else will get done today."

  Smiling at her wavering tone he pulled her close and spread her legs further before giving her clothed hips a grind with his as he stood from between her legs.

  "You say that like it would be a bad thing."

  Her snort of amusement was followed by "horn dog" before she shooed him away ready to finish her work so she could enjoy her mate's affections without guilt.

  "Your horn dog."

  "Our horn dog my love, now go. Nat and Eve have kindly accepted my request to occupy your time while I work. Be glad for a mate such as me, one who brings such variety to our family."

  Lifting her lips to his he murmured "every day" before kissing her soundly once more and leaving her to her work.

  Stepping into their room and finding a naked Nat and Eve waiting for him he licked his lips as his Natty spread the black lips of her wet sex with a coy smile.

  Ever amazed by his luck in finding such wonderful wives he nevertheless didn't dwell on it too much, his Nat's depths called to him as did his Eve's lips and who was he to make them wait.

  The mermen had been well and truly conquered as far as he was concerned and he hoped their race would use the opportunity he gave them well.

  If so when and if he called them in the future they would be ready to assist him.

  Returning his mind to the beautiful green woman shouting his name in bliss he sent out a request to his other wives to join them, he had an hour or more to burn and so many gorgeous women to love.

  Fight to the finish

  As Miranda stormed out of the merchant guild's chambers she seethed with rage.

  Her weeks of checking in on the progress of her target's travels towards her after they had received an important message from their chapter on Zeme three weeks ago had resulted in vague assurances after Speck had introduced her to them and a relative had vouched for her.

  Her frustration had reached its peak a week and a half after her arrival to the dread of the orcs that participated in the city-sponsored fighting pits.
