Falling for Agent Cox:A Falling Novel

  “Like a baby. You?”

  “Like a king.”

“A king, hey, does that make me your queen?” As soon as she says this, her face drops. That was what Kye used to always say to her, not wanting her to be upset, I shake my head.

“You are my Kitten and my fiancée.”

“Well, you are mine and my fiancé.” She grins at me. “Is it just me, or is it fucking awesome to say fiancé?”

  “Watch your mouth, Kitten.”

“I know how you can shut me up.”

“You are insatiable,” I tell her, as I slide my hands down her purple satin nightie and cup her ass. “I always want you but I need you to get dressed. I have a surprise.”

“I like surprises. What is it?”

“If I tell you, it won’t be a surprise.”

She pouts, “You can spank me.”

“I can do that anytime I want, now if you behave, I will spank and cuff you later.”

“Promises, promises,” she says, as she pulls away from me, turns, and walks out of the kitchen. She stops at the entrance and clears her throat. Lifting my gaze, the minx is standing there naked, her nightie hanging from her index finger.

I’d love nothing more than to ravage her, but my surprise will be here in ten minutes and for what I have in mind, I need more than ten minutes.

“You are going to be the death of me, woman. Go and get dressed and I promise, later.”

“You better, fiancé, otherwise I’m taking back my proposal.”

“No take backsies!” I shout as she stomps, yes, stomps away.

Picking up my mug, I bring it to my lips and shake my head.

When she returns she’s dressed in jeans that look like they were painted on and a purple halter top thingy. My eyes roam over her and when I get to her face, she’s smirking. “Like what you see?”

Nodding, I hand her a coffee. “Fuck yes, I do.”

“Watch you—” She doesn’t get to finish because the doorbell rings. “You expecting someone?” she asks, as she walks to the door. She swings it open and the doorway is filled with a balloon bouquet of at least twenty balloons in different shades of purple. It’s attached to a box, filled with grape taffy.

“Core,” she coos, “you shouldn’t have.”

When she turns around, I’m down on bended knee with a ring box in my hand. “Baylor, you may have beaten me to the punch with the proposal, but mine has all the romance and taffy you could desire. I think I fell for you the moment I heard you sassing at Agent Hall, I’ve fallen more and more in love with you each and every day since then, and I will do so until my last breath. Baylor Martine Evans, Kitten, will you marry me?”

A tear cascades down her cheek and she drops to her knees in front of me. She grips my cheeks and slams her lips to mine. She kisses me deeply, knocking us back to the floor with her on top of me. “Is that a yes?” I ask against her lips.

  “Yes, a thousand times, yes.”

Rolling her to her back, I remove the ring from the box and slip it onto her finger. “I love you, Kitten.”

  “I love you too, Core.”

…What are you grinning at?” she asks, bringing me back to the present.

“Remembering the day I asked you to marry me.”

“That was the second best day of my life.”

“The best being when you officially became Baylor Cox?”

“Nope,” she says, shaking her head, “The best was the day I was arrested because it led me on the path to you.”

“Who knew an arrest could lead to all this?” I ask her.

“Certainly not me. What shall we do today?”

“Weeeeelll,” I draw the word out. “We are on our honeymoon and your ass is looking mighty fine. I was thinking a spanking.”

“How about we work on my ass’s tan and then tonight, you can turn it pink after I suck your cock.”

“I fucking love your dirty mouth,” I tell her, pulling her into me and kissing her deeply.

  “And I fucking love you.”

The spanking comes sooner than anticipated due to my wife’s sassy mouth, and with her ass nice and pink, we change into our swimwear and head downstairs to work on her ass tan and have a few cocktails.

We are walking toward our cabana when an old friend and I run into each other. “Burton fucking Hayes, what are you doing here?” I say, as we do the one-armed bro backslap hug.

“I live here now, man. I bought Castaway Coffee.”

  “No shit.”

  “Yes, shit.”

My eyes dart around, “Did Trina come too?”

He shakes his head. “Nah, we split. That’s one of the reasons I came here.”

“You finally woke up and saw the light, eh?” Trina was a crazy bitch, always out for herself. I always got the feeling she was hiding something but I never said anything ‘cause Burton seemed happy.

“You could say that.” His demeanor changes slightly but just as quickly, his face lights up when a gorgeous brunette walks toward us. “Hey, baby,” she says, snuggling into his side. She looks to me and stretches out her hand, “Hey, I’m Nix”

“Corey,” I say, placing my hand in hers and shaking. For a small thing, she has a good grip.

She turns her head to look up at Burton, love radiating between the two of them. “Kain is here, he and Talia just had another argument.”

  “Again?” Burton questions

“Yeah, those two just need to fuck already. Like seriously, penis in vagina, pump and repeat. Once they fuck away the tension, peace will return to the grove. Blind fucking Freddy can see they want each other, but they are too stubborn to see it.”

“Love blinds some people, they don’t see it until it smacks them up the side of the head when they least expect it.”

“Are we speaking from experience?” Nix asks me.

Nodding, I grin. “Yeah. My Kitten came into my life when I least expected it.”

“No shit,” Burton says, “Agent Corey Cox has finally met ‘the one.’”

“After he arrested me,” my gorgeous wife says, sliding her arm around my waist joining us.

“You and I are going to get along smashingly,” Nix says.

Burton rolls his eyes and whispers, “Ohh shit.” He looks to Bay. “If she offers you a cocktail, run the other way.”

“What can I say, I make killer cocktails.” Nix nonchalantly shrugs but the look she is giving Burton right now is carnal and heated, it’s similar to how Baylor looks at me when she wants to get down and dirty…or kill me.

There’s a fine line between love and hate and Baylor and I walk along that precarious knife’s edge each and every day. Baylor is my complete opposite but at the same time, she’s my missing piece. Our love and hate collided spectacularly but I wouldn’t change a thing. Well, maybe the getting shot part but the recovery blow jobs were amazing, so yeah, I’ll keep the getting shot part.

“Killer, more like downright dangerous,” Burton mumbles, but loud enough for all of us to hear.

“You love them…and me.” Nix winks at him and then links arms with Bay, dragging her toward the Grove Bar. Like the lovesick puppies that Burton and I are, we follow them.

After way too many of Nix’s killer cocktails, Baylor and I stumble toward the beach. We collapse into a cabana and snuggle into one another. We stare up at the night sky. There are a million tiny little stars twinkling in the night sky. “Core, you think that somewhere up there is a couple like us, snuggling and in love?”

“I’ve never really thought about it,” I tell her, “But I do know that I’m happy to be snuggling here with you.” Rolling to face her, I rest my head on my hand. Brushing a tendril of hair off her face, I lean in and kiss her nose. “I love you, Baylor Cox.”

“I love hearing that,” she tells me.

  “I love you,” I repeat.

She shakes her head, “No, not that. I love that I’m officially Baylor Cox. If you had told me the first day we met that I’d be married to you
, I would have told you to drop the crack pipe. Never in my wildest dreams did I think this would happen but seriously, getting arrested was the best thing to ever happen to me, because it led me to you.”

“Arresting you was the best arrest of my life.”

“Technically Hall and Oats arrested me. You just needed me to bring down the bad guy.”

“Potato patahto. But you know what?”

  “What?”

“I wouldn’t change a thing either. Falling for you was the best thing I ever did.”

“Aww, you say such sweet things. Now, take me back to our room and fuck me.”

  “Watch your mouth, Kitten.”

She leans over and kisses me, “You wouldn’t have me any other way. Now, let’s go.”

It’s true, I love her just the way she is.
