“Right, I have another request for you, Grandmaster. This guy started a company selling healthcare products. I’d like you to infiltrate their factory and steal the recipe, then burn the factory down.”

The Grandmaster furrowed his brows. “That’s too easy. It’s no challenge at all.”

“I’ll pay you double for this job, Grandmaster, and I’ll count these two requests separately. So that’s four times your usual fee,” Luo Feng said urgently.

Grandmaster Chacha broke into an ugly grin.

“You’re a quick one, Young Master Luo! Alright, you can count on me. That’s too easy! You can wait here, I’ll be back soon.” Grandmaster Chacha laughed arrogantly.

“Here’s the address of the factory, and here’s his house address,” Luo Feng passed him a piece of paper.

The Grandmaster took the piece of paper and laughed. “Just wait for my good news!”

Then, he left the room in big strides.

Grandmaster Chacha’s mood was excellent at that time. The job was easy and the pay was good.

“You’re one unlucky kid!” Grandmaster Chacha smiled viciously as he looked at the photo.

Half an hour later, Grandmaster Chacha arrived at Jade Town and went to the factory.

He opened his black suitcase and retrieved a bottle. He uncorked it, and a blurry smoke poured out and coalesced into the shape of a human.

The Grandmaster said something in a foreign language, then the smoke dissipated.

Soon, the smoke returned and whispered something in the Grandmaster’s ear.

Grandmaster Chacha nodded, then sucked the smoke back into the bottle.

He stood up and leaped. His body rose into the air like a bird, clearing the fence easily.

He walked brazenly all over the place.

The security guards had all fainted. He was not afraid that he might be discovered.

He circled the factory once and frowned. Where was he to find the recipe for the potion in the big factory? It was like looking for a needle in a haystack.

“Forget it. I’ll just ask the kid when I see him later. He’s the boss; he ought to know the recipe,” Grandmaster Chacha mumbled to himself.

He went back outside, carried over some barrels of gasoline, and poured it all over the place.

He stood in front of one of the workshops, then casually took out a cigarette and put it in his mouth. Then, he took out a lighter and lit the cigarette.

“What kind of ramshackle place is this? Might as well burn it down!” Grandmaster Chacha mumbled and, with a flick of his wrist, tossed the lighter with the flame still burning. It landed on the ground.

  However, nothing happened.

The flame on the lighter went out and did not ignite the gasoline.

Grandmaster Chacha frowned. He thought that it was rather weird.

“What’s wrong?” He mumbled, then crouched to pick up the lighter. He lit it once again and tossed it to the ground.

  Once again, nothing happened.

The flame was put out before it hit the ground.

Grandmaster Chacha was thoroughly confused. What was going on? The first time might be an accident, but there was something fishy if it happened two times in a row.

“I don’t believe that you won’t burn!” Grandmaster Chacha muttered under his breath, picked up the lighter, lit it again, and tossed it.

Once again, the fire went out.

Grandmaster Chacha was dumbstruck. “Is… Is there a ghost or something?”

“I don’t believe it!” The Grandmaster muttered. He crouched and pressed the cigarette onto the ground.

  The gasoline finally ignited.

Grandmaster Chacha breathed a sigh of relief and he looked happy. Soon after, the happiness on his face turned into fear. The fire suddenly rose from the ground, jumped toward him, and ignited his clothes.

He shrieked in fear and fell backward rolling on the ground.

In a panic, he rolled onto some gasoline and the flames multiplied.

“Aaaahhh!” Grandmaster Chacha screamed in agony.

He struggled with all his might, then jumped into a nearby pool and the fire was finally put out. When he resurfaced, a big patch of his body was charred and his hair was all burned away. It was a pathetic sight.

“This is odd! Too odd!” The Grandmaster shivered. He was starting to feel afraid.

He knew that it was not an accident. Someone, or rather, something, was playing a prank on him.

He had not realized that it was more powerful than him.

He wanted to cry. What was supposed to be a simple mission was more difficult than he thought.

“Evil spirit! I command you to reveal yourself to Grandmaster Chacha now!” The Grandmaster roared as he leaped out of the pool.

Everything was silent all around him.

Soon after, a chuckling sound was heard, like silver bells clinking.

In front of him, a wisp of smoke appeared and coalesced into a red silhouette.

Grandmaster Chacha’s knees went weak when he saw that. He almost wet his pants!

Chapter 133 - The Miserable Grandmaster

“Ghooooost!” Grandmaster Chacha exclaimed in surprise. He leaned back and fell over.

His face was pale from the fright and his heart was thumping madly.

As a shaman, he usually would not be afraid of normal ghosts. The ghost in front of him was not a normal one though. The aura it emanated made him fear for his life.

That female ghost surely must have a century of cultivation.

“I’m finished!” Grandmaster Chacha was about to cry.

He knew the extent of his powers very well. He could use them to bully normal people, but he had to yield to a century-old female ghost.

He scrambled to his feet, then kneeled on the ground with a thud and kowtowed loudly several times.

He pleaded while crying, “Revered Grandmother! I’m sorry that I don’t know your power and have offended you. Please forgive me!”

Zhou Lingxue chuckled. “You’re interesting! You can change your appearance just like that. Weren’t you very arrogant earlier?”

Grandmaster Chacha trembled when he heard that.

“No… No such thing! I was wrong, Revered Grandmother!” As he spoke, he lifted a hand and slapped himself hard.

Apparently, one slap was not enough to appease the ghost. He continued slapping himself until both sides of his face were swollen.

He was already ugly. The fire had made him hideous, and the slaps had made him look pathetic.

Grandmaster Chacha cried in his heart as he slapped himself.

He had never been humiliated like that before!

However, a little humiliation was nothing if he could escape with his life. That thought went across his mind, and he slapped himself harder.

“I’ve truly repented, Grandmother. Please be forgiving and let me go!” Grandmaster Chacha pleaded.

Zhou Lingxue smirked. “Forgive you? That would be too easy on you!” Then, she lifted a hand. Grandmaster Chacha was sent flying by an invisible force.

Then, as though being grabbed by a giant invisible hand, he was slammed onto the ground multiple times.

  Bang! Bang! Bang!

After being slammed ten or so times later, the Grandmaster’s pupils dilated and he was about to faint.

“Alright, I guess that should do it! Leave this place at once. I won’t be as merciful the next time,” Zhou Lingxue said coldly.

“Yes, yes! Thank you Grandmother for not killing me!”

Grandmaster Chacha was relieved as though he had received a royal pardon. He struggled to his feet then limped away.

He climbed over the wall with much effort and fell on the ground.

  Slam!

He clutched his butt and yelled in pain. The fall had probably split his butt into half.

“I’m safe!” Grandmaster Chacha sat and leaned against the wall, trying to catch his breath.

  The scene earlier was li
ke a nightmare. He did not expect that the run-down place would have a powerful ghost dwelling there.

“Dammit, that gave me quite the fright!” Grandmaster Chacha patted his chest to calm himself down.

Then, his face darkened. His extremely ugly face flashed with extreme cruelty.

“It’s all your fault, you filthy kid. I wouldn’t need to humiliate myself if not because of you. I’ll have to use my most cruel tactics to torture you for seven days and seven nights before you finally die of agony,” Grandmaster Chacha said viciously.

He had placed his grudge on Tang Hao.

“Just you wait, you filthy kid!” Grandmaster Chacha stood up, then retrieved his suitcase, went to his car, and drove toward Celestial Foothill Gardens.

He arrived at Celestial Foothill Gardens half an hour later.

He climbed up the mountain next to the area. From the mountaintop, he could see the mansion under him.

Grandmaster Chacha flashed a sinister smile. He sat down at a clearing and opened the suitcase to retrieve some glass jars.

The jars were filled with spiders, centipedes, scorpions, and many other poisonous insects. Another jar was filled to the brim with maggots soaking in a yellow liquid.

He opened the jar of maggots and poured some into a bowl. He added some spiders and centipedes to that bowl and mashed them up into a paste. He mixed some corpse water into the bowl and started stirring.

Then, he took a paper talisman cut into the shape of a human and soaked it into the mixture.

Ten or so minutes later, he took out the talisman, then uttered an incantation in a foreign language.

“Haha! It’s done!” Grandmaster Chacha laughed wildly. He could already see how the kid would writhe in agony after the curse was cast.

  “Death awaits you, filthy kid!”

He crossed his legs, sat down, and prepared to cast the curse.

Just then, he suddenly heard a voice coming from behind him. “Um, may I ask… what are you doing?”

Grandmaster Chacha’s body froze as if being paused in a video.

His eyes slowly widened while his brain tried to come to terms with the situation.

‘What the hell is going on?’

It was already so late at night. How could there be someone deep in the mountains? Furthermore, how did he not notice someone coming up so close to him?

‘Don’t tell me… it’s another ghost?’ Grandmaster Chacha could feel his blood curdling.

“I’ve been looking at you for a while. That’s quite interesting,” the voice continued speaking, though it sounded a little shy.

The Grandmaster’s face contorted viciously. “Whatever it is, I’ll kill him first!”

He abruptly spun around and his gaze darted around the area.

He went cross-eyed when he discerned who it was.

Standing not far behind him was a boy in a white button-down shirt and jeans. He looked quite handsome and his smile was a little reserved.

  ‘Isn’t he that filthy kid?’

“You, you, you…” Grandmaster Chacha jumped. “Why are you here?”

At the moment, he felt as though he was caught in the act.

“You know me?” The boy said, “Right, it’s my home down there. Are you here to ‘take care’ of me?”

He narrowed his eyes and his gaze turned icy.

Grandmaster Chacha finally calmed down. He did not know how the boy got behind him, but he was sure that there was nothing abnormal about the kid, and there was nothing to be afraid about.

“Hmph! You’re not a dumb one, filthy kid! I am Grandmaster Chacha, and I’m here to claim your life!” The Grandmaster roared.

  “Oh,” Tang Hao replied calmly.

  Grandmaster Chacha was stunned.

Why was the kid’s reaction so calm? Normal people would be afraid when they heard his name or see what he did!

“Hey, filthy kid! I’m a shaman. Do you know what a shaman is? I can cast curses and I’m very powerful,” Grandmaster Chacha said angrily.

He was not happy with how unimpressed the kid looked.

“Oh!” Tang Hao replied again, this time with even more nonchalance.

“Dammit, you’re a hard one to please, kid!” Grandmaster Chacha gritted his teeth, and veins bulged on his forehead.

“Don’t blame me for being cruel, kid. You ought to blame yourself for crossing Young Master Luo. Young Master Luo had ordered the most powerful curse on you so you’ll die a slow and painful death.”

“Is that so?” Tang Hao was as calm as before.

“Prepare to die, kid!” Grandmaster Chacha roared. He picked up the human-shaped paper talisman and prepared to burn it.

Tang Hao grunted nonchalantly. He gently stamped his foot and an intimidating aura burst forth from his body.

Grandmaster Chacha was stunned when he saw that.

  Chapter 134 - I’ll Waste You

This time, he was thoroughly dumbstruck.

As he stood there with bulging eyes, his body started to tremble uncontrollably.

“Oh my god, this aura…” His voice was shaking hard.

“How is this possible…” He was in a daze, unable to believe what he saw.

The kid in front of him was a master?

The aura that he emanated was more powerful than that of the female ghost and was suffocating him.

He wanted to cry. ‘Is karma finally catching up to me? Why am I so unlucky?’ He wailed in his heart.

He had thought the job was going to be easy, but now he felt as though he was led into a trap.

His face was scrunched up and tears were about to fall.

“Big…. Big Brother… We… We can talk…” Grandmaster Chacha fell on his knees. “Please… Please don’t… kill me…”

He stammered with a trembling voice.

Tang Hao chuckled. “Weren’t you boasting earlier? Who was the one who said that they would put the strongest curse on me so that I’ll die in agony?”

“It wasn’t me, Big Brother! It’s Young Master Luo, no, it’s that bastard Luo Feng. He’s the one who said it,” Grandmaster Chacha said with a crying voice.

Then, he kowtowed as though he was pounding garlic. “I was wrong, Big Brother. Please spare me!”

His heart was filled with fear and even despair.

As a shaman from Nanyang, he knew that there were cultivators similar to him in Huaxia who also wielded supernatural power.

There was also a saying that the Nanyang sect of shamans originated from Huaxia.

The cultivation world in Huaxia might not have been as advanced as ancient times, but there were many powerful figures that should never be crossed.

The person in front of him looked very young, but he possessed an overwhelming aura. He must have been one of those figures.

Tang Hao stood there silently with a dark face.

He did not expect that Luo Feng would be cruel enough to get a Nanyang shaman to curse and kill him.

“Let me ask you, where is Luo Feng now?” Tang Hao said coldly.

“He’s at the north of the city, in Room 902 of Riverfront Hotel,” Grandmaster Chacha said urgently.

Tang Hao smirked. “Now that you’ve said it, there’s no use keeping you alive!”

Grandmaster Chacha trembled and all color was drained from his face. He became extremely fearful. “Don’t! Don’t kill me!” He begged with tears streaming down his face.

Tang Hao was unmoved. His eyes brimmed with killing intent.

That person was nothing more than a hitman. Who knew how many people were killed by him? No one would mourn him if he died. He flicked his wrist and threw two jade talismans.

  Bang! Bang!

The jade talismans exploded into balls of fire which immediately consumed the Grandmaster.

Grandmaster Chacha let out a short cry of agony before being burned into ashes. The jars on the ground and his black suitcase were also burned clean.

“Luo Feng!” Tang Hao’s eyes were ice-cold as
he glared at the north of the city.

Then, he kicked his legs and flew in the air. He reached the north of the city in about ten minutes.

On the top floor penthouse suite of the luxury hotel, Luo Feng looked anxious as he sat on the sofa. The mission should have been complete by now, but there was no news from Grandmaster Chacha.

He picked up his phone once again. There were no phone calls or messages.

“He might be delayed by something!” Luo Feng mumbled to himself.

He was not too worried that the Grandmaster would fail in his mission.

“That bastard should be cursed by now and writhing in agony!” Luo Feng was excited as he imagined the scene.

“That’s what you get for opposing me!” He grunted, then looked at his phone once more before stashing it away.

  Crash!

All of a sudden, the glass panel opposite him shattered. Shards of broken glass battered him along with gusts of strong wind.

Luo Feng was shocked. He instinctively covered his face with his hands.

When all was calm again and he put his hands down, he sucked in a mouthful of cold air.

A figure came into the suite from outside the building and walked toward him. More incredibly, that person was none other than Tang Hao.

“You…” Luo Feng exclaimed in surprise as though he had just seen a ghost.

“Why, are you surprised to see me?” Tang Hao said coldly.

Luo Feng tried to process the information in his brain but he could not believe it.

‘Shouldn’t Tang Hao be on his throes of death after being struck by the curse? How did he appear here? Isn’t this the ninth floor? How did he come in through the window?’

“Why are you here? Where’s the Grandmaster?” Luo Feng asked sternly.

“What Grandmaster? Oh, you mean that coward? Is someone like that worthy of the title? I say, Young Master Luo, you must’ve been scammed.” Tang Hao’s expression was mocking.

Luo Feng trembled and his face went pale as a sheet when he heard that.

At this point, he understood too well that Tang Hao was not a normal person. He wielded supernatural powers, just like Grandmaster Chacha.
