After they got down at the entrance of the factory, Tang Hao looked around the place. When he saw the factory opposite them, he displayed a look of understanding and mumbled, “So that’s how it is. It’s really a fengshui problem.”

Chapter 183 - Back to Octagon Alley

Standing at the entrance of Qin Gang’s factory, Tang Hao looked at the factory opposite them.

The factory opposite them was much bigger than Qin Gang’s factory and had several tall buildings in its compound. Two of the buildings were built in a peculiar manner. They formed an acute angle when viewed from where he stood.

The angle was pointed straight at the entrance of Qin Gang’s factory.

In the study of fengshui, that formation was known as the Pointed Hex.

The Pointed Hex could easily change the fengshui of an area. Negative qi would be concentrated at the point where the angle was aiming at.

If someone lived or worked at the point of concentration, negative qi will enter their bodies, and their bodies would soon become sluggish and easily tired. In more serious cases, they might fall into a coma.

Usually, building walls form right angles rather than acute angles.

The two buildings pointing at the factory were built peculiarly, and it was obvious to see that it was deliberately built like that. The owner of that factory must have had fengshui knowledge, and he was using it to cause harm.

“Hmph! What an immoral person!” Tang Hao smirked coldly.

“Did you find anything, Younger Brother-in-law?”

Tang Hao pointed at the factory opposite them. “You see those two buildings?”

“Yes, what about them?” Qin Gang was surprised.

“That’s called the Pointed Hex. It’s meant to bring harm! Do you know who the owner of that factory is, or what he does?” Tang Hao asked.

“Well… I’m not too sure. I’ve heard that he’s not from Province Z. Younger Brother-in-law, do you mean that our troubles are all caused by those two buildings?”

  “That’s right!” Tang Hao nodded.

Suddenly, Sun Yi’s expression changed, as though she had remembered something. “No wonder the rent here is so cheap! Turns out that there’s something weird about the place. The previous tenant also had many accidents and eventually went bankrupt.

“If we knew there is something wrong with the fengshui here, we wouldn’t have moved no matter what!” Sun Yi said regrettably.

Qin Gang started to look angry. He looked at the buildings opposite his factory and said, “Such a wicked act! Aren’t they afraid that karma might one day bite back on them?”

Then, he turned to Tang Hao and said, “What should we do, Younger Brother-in-law? I don’t think we can blow up those two buildings, right?”

“We’ve just moved here, and I don’t think we can move out soon,” Sun Yi added.

Tang Hao pondered over the problem.

If they could not move away, then the only solution was to break the formation.

The most direct way to break the formation was to remove the two buildings. That seemed impossible, given their current circumstances.

“When were the two buildings built?” Tang Hao asked.

“That should be two years ago,” Sun Yi replied.

  “Did the factory change hands?”

  “No!”

Tang Hao nodded and narrowed his eyes.

The owner of that factory had successfully ruined someone but did not remove the buildings. It meant that he had no moral decency. Tang Hao thought that he need not be merciful toward them if that were the case.

Tang Hao lifted his head to look at the sky.

“Bring me downtown. I need to go somewhere,” Tang Hao told Qin Gang.

  “Where?”

“Octagon Alley!” Tang Hao went into the car as he spoke.

He needed several items to counter the formation, and he could find them at Octagon Alley.

“Octagon Alley? Oh, I think I’ve heard of it before. Isn’t that just a narrow, seedy alley?” Qin Gang muttered.

Even so, he sat into the driver seat and drove toward the city area. They arrived at Octagon Alley about forty minutes later.

  “Wait here. Don’t follow me!”

Tang Hao got out of the car and went into the alley.

He retraced his steps and soon found the antique shop.

As usual, the shop was laid out in a classic style and was filled with various wares. A thin, elderly but spirited person in a Chinese suit sat behind the counter.

“Can I help you, Sir?” The elderly shopkeeper looked at Tang Hao and asked casually.

Tang Hao cupped his fists and bowed. “Shopkeeper!” He greeted the old man.

The old man was surprised. He stood up and carefully regarded Tang Hao. “I remember now! Didn’t you come the other day with the two Taoist masters from Mao Mountain?”

  “That’s me!” Tang Hao said.

The shopkeeper smiled warmly. “I’ve misjudged you. So you’re a cultivator as well! What do you need?”

“Shopkeeper, I need a bronze figure of an auspicious beast to counter negative qi and two bronze mirrors.”[1]

The shopkeeper understood what he wanted the items for.

He thought for a while and replied. “We only have one bronze mirror now and no auspicious beast figures on hand. They can be delivered tomorrow.”

“Alright, I’ll come and pick up the goods tomorrow then,” Tang Hao said, “How much?”

“Let me ring them up. The bronze mirrors are antiques and cost thirty thousand yuan each. The auspicious beast figure is fifty thousand yuan. That’s a hundred and ten thousand yuan in total!” The shopkeeper said.

  “Cash?”

“You can pay by cash or card!” The shopkeeper grinned and retrieved a POS machine from under the counter.

Tang Hao was surprised. He was not expecting to see a POS machine in that shop.

“Heheh! I need to keep up with the times!” The shopkeeper laughed smugly.

“I’ll pay by card then!” Tang Hao took out his debit card.

“The goods will arrive tomorrow noon. Come and get them by then!” The shopkeeper said.

Tang Hao waved goodbye and left the shop.

Back in the car, Qin Gang asked, “Where did you go, Younger Brother-in-law? Is there anything in this seedy place?”

“I bought something useful. We need to come back tomorrow noon to collect the goods! That’s all we can do today. Let’s go!”

“Alright! Let’s go have a meal. You rarely come to Provincial City. I need to treat you to something delicious.” He brought Tang Hao to a famous restaurant.

The next day, Tang Hao came to Octagon Alley at the appointed time and received his auspicious beast figure and two bronze mirrors.

The bronze figure was not a mundane statue. It had the effect of canceling and suppressing negative qi. The two bronze mirrors could reflect negative qi to the sender, so that they may reap what they had sown.

The car sped back to the factory. Tang Hao walked around the factory, did some rough calculations, then placed the bronze figure at a certain point in the factory grounds.

“This bronze figure can suppress negative qi. The negative qi will dissipate in a few days and the workers will be fine again,” Tang Hao said.

Then, he went to the rooftop of the office building.

One of the acute angles was pointed at this building, while the other was pointed at the workshop building.

Tang Hao placed the mirror in the rough direction where the angle was pointed, then secured it on the spot.

Then, he went to the workshop building and did the same thing.

“Remember, don’t ever move these mirrors, and protect them from any damage. You can only remove them when the opposite buildings are demolished,” Tang Hao instructed.

“Yes, yes!” Qin Gang nodded urgently.

“In about two weeks, they’ll probably realize that something fishy is going on. If they don’t demolis
h the buildings, they will suffer the harmful effects of the Pointed Hex,” Tang Hao said.

“That’s it, Younger Brother-in-law? There won’t be any more problems?”

“Don’t worry, it’s all fine now!” Tang Hao clapped his hands and smiled.

Qin Gang breathed a sigh of relief. Then, he slapped Tang Hao’s chest. “Don’t be in a hurry to go back, Younger Brother-in-law, I’ll bring you to have fun tonight.”

Chapter 184 - Assistant Han is Drunk

Tang Hao sat awkwardly in a nightclub.

On both sides of him were beautiful women in their mid-twenties. They wore heavy makeup and dressed skimpily. Occasionally, they would pinch and squeeze Tang Hao’s arms.

They shot seductive glances and whispered sweet nothings at Tang Hao, which made him extremely embarrassed.

Qin Gang sat opposite him and laughed heartily. He had a mischievous look on his face.

The two women sitting next to Qin Gang regularly filled up his cup with alcohol.

From the way Qin Gang acted, it was obvious that he was a regular.

Tang Hao was speechless. ‘Is it appropriate for him to bring me to such a place?’

The women laughed at him when they saw him being uncomfortable.

“Boss Qin, this cousin of yours looks quite handsome!”

The woman on Tang Hao’s left laughed. She leaned closer, her body clinging on to Tang Hao.

“Isn’t that so! Not only my cousin is handsome, but he is also very capable! He runs a bigger company than I do,” Qin Gang said with a smile.

“Wow!” The women exclaimed in surprise. Their gaze toward Tang Hao became more eager than ever.

They loved young customers with a lot of money.

“Don’t be so uptight, Cousin! Come, let’s drink! Ladies, pour some alcohol for him!”

It was rude for Tang Hao to reject the offer, so he started drinking with Qin Gang.

More than an hour later, Qin Gang was beginning to feel tipsy. Tang Hao immediately called for a timeout, then paid the bill and left the nightclub.

“I say, Cousin! I didn’t know that you have a great drinking capacity! Your face doesn’t look red at all!” Qin Gang said drunkenly as he propped himself up with Tang Hao’s shoulder.

Tang Hao rolled his eyes. He would not become drunk no matter how much alcohol he drank.

“Hey, Cousin, let’s find another place to drink! I’m not letting you leave until you’re drunk!” Qin Gang said.

“I’m not your cousin!” Tang hao said angrily.

“Oh, right, Younger Brother-in-law! Let’s go, Younger Brother-in-law!” Qin Gang pulled Tang Hao and hailed for a cab.

“You’ve drunk enough! You’re not young anymore. You’re already twenty-seven. Careful that you harm your liver,” Tang Hao said.

“Hah! What are you saying? I’m still young!” Qin Gang said while he stumbled.

Tang Hao was speechless when looking at him.

A while later, while helping Qin Gang to walk, his phone started ringing. It was from Assistant Han.

“Right, Assistant Han mentioned that she was coming back to Provincial City today. She should be here by now!” Tang Hao muttered to himself, then answered the call.

When the call went through, he immediately heard loud music and crowded human voices on the other end of the call.

Tang Hao furrowed his brows. Why did she sound like she was at a bar or somewhere similar?

“Hey, Assistant Han! You’re back in Provincial City?”

A while later, a mumbling, drunken voice came over the phone. “Hey! P… President Tang!”

Tang Hao’s brows were locked even tighter when he heard that.

It was obvious that Han Yutong was intoxicated.

It was not good news for a single woman to be drunk in a bar!

“You’re alone?” Tang Hao asked seriously.

“Alone? Y… Yes! Do you wanna come here and drink with me too? No one wants to drink with me here!” Han Yutong said drunkenly.

  “Where are you?”

Han Yutong hiccuped, then said, “I’m at Cloud Sea! Cloud Sea Bar! Come faster!”

  Then, she hung up.

“How could this be?” Tang Hao could not believe it.

In his impression, Assistant Han was a sensible person. Why would she be drinking alone in a bar?

‘Unless… she had something on her mind?’

“I’ll need to find her quick!” Tang Hao said to himself.

Then, he looked at Qin Gang next to him. ‘How did these two sensible people become drunk at the same time?’ He thought to himself.

He thought for a while, then took out Qin Gang’s phone and dialed Sun Yi’s number. He asked for her address, then told her that Qin Gang would be going to her house. He hailed a cab, helped Qin Gang get in, then told the driver Sun Yi’s address.

After sending off that cab, Tang Hao hailed another.

“Cloud Sea Bar! Please be quick!” Tang Hao said while handing the driver two one hundred yuan notes.

The driver was shocked. As he took the cash, he grinned widely and said eagerly, “Don’t worry, we’ll be there in no time!”

“Sit tight!” The driver roared. He floored the accelerator and the car zoomed on the roads like lightning.

They arrived at Cloud Sea Bar within seven minutes.

Tang Hao got out of the car and scanned the area. He noticed that there were many bars in the area, and piercingly loud music could be heard from each one of them.

Tang Hao entered Cloud Sea Bar, squeezed past the crowd, and arrived at the counter.

He looked around, then noticed a familiar figure at the left end of the counter.

Han Yutong was sitting there. Her body was almost entirely slumped on the counter, evidently from drinking too much.

She wore a fitting dress that accentuated the curves of her body. Especially her long legs, which attracted the perverted gazes of the men around her.

They were probably thinking of something uncouth.

Next to her was a short and fat man. He was stealing glances at her while sipping his drink.

He became brazen when he noticed that she was drunk. His left arm crept toward her round and firm butt, and his expression became more and more perverted when he was about to accomplish his dirty deed.

Suddenly, a hand shot out and gripped his firmly at the wrist.

He was shocked. He turned around to see that it was only a kid.

“Can’t wait to die, you filthy kid?” He said fiercely.

“Get lost!” Tang Hao roared coldly.

“Haha, are you threatening me? Why, are you interested in this beautiful lady as well? Let me tell you, I’m the one who set my eyes on her first. There’s nothing for you here. Go away as far as you can,” The short and fat man yelled.

Then, he struggled to pull his hand away, but Tang Hao’s grip on his hand was like a steel vice. His hand could not move an inch no matter how he struggled.

“F*ck your mother!” He was furious. With his other hand, he grabbed a beer bottle and swung it at Tang Hao.

Tang Hao dodged it easily, then he held down the head of the short and fat man and slammed it onto the counter.

  Bam!

The loud sound alerted everyone around them and they quickly ran away.

Stars appeared on the short and fat man’s head, who was about to pass out. Then, his face contorted into something vicious and he roared, “I’ll kill you, you filthy kid!”

Tang Hao was impassive. He slammed the man’s head on the counter again.

“Get lost, human scum!” Tang Hao roared.

The short and fat man fell sitting on the floor. He struggled to get up again, the corpulent folds on his face becoming cruel and savage.

“You dare to cross me, you filthy kid? You’ve got balls! Everyone, listen here! I’ll pay whoever beats this kid up
. Two thousand yuan per person.”

Then, he took out his wallet and threw it on the counter.

  Chapter 185 - I Didn’t Do It On Purpose

Everyone’s eyes turned to the wallet on the counter.

The wallet was very thick, and everyone could see the fat stack of banknotes in it.

Some people were tempted. Two thousand yuan was a fair amount of money, and the young kid looked like a pushover.

Everyone was willing to try their hands on an easy two thousand yuan.

  “Is that true?”

A tall and muscular man said as he squeezed his way past the crowd.

“Of course!” The short and fat man replied.

The tall and muscular man cracked his neck, then flexed his muscles. “I used to be a boxer. Give me another three thousand yuan and I’ll flatten him into a pancake!”

The short and fat man was overcome with glee. “Yes, yes, yes! Flatten him!”

A few other men stood up as well.

“Get him, everyone! The worse you beat him up, the more I’ll give you,” the short and fat man yelled excitedly.

Then, he turned around to look at Tang Hao and said viciously. “That’s for crossing me, you filthy kid!”

“I’m sorry, kid. Whoever has the money calls the shots. It’s your unlucky day today!”

The tall and muscular man smirked. He cracked his knuckles as he walked toward Tang Hao. Behind him, several people were crowding in.

The bystanders surrounding them looked at the scene with glee. They were prepared to watch the kid being flattened into a pancake.

“That kid is dead meat! He should be knocked out in a punch!”

  “Tsk!” Tang Hao grinned mischievously.

‘These people aren’t afraid of death!’

The tall and muscular man cracked his knuckles as he stood in front of Tang Hao. He was surprised to see his target being so calm and composed.

  Then, he became angry.

“You’ve got balls, kid! This is just a taste of what I’m going to do to you!”

The tall and muscular man smirked, then reached out with his big hands to grab Tang Hao.
