“That… should be number two, right?”

The assassins all around exclaimed in surprise. They looked incredibly excited.

Crazy! That was absolutely crazy! Almost all the assassins in the top ten appeared! They had never gathered at the same place. If news got out, it would have shocked the entire assassin world.

“You are quite boastful, kid!” The Nanyang shaman cackled sinisterly.

“This kid seems to be quite strong. Number nine and number seven have fallen. He should be a cultivator, too! But he’s too presumptuous. Does he think that he can defeat us all? What a joke!”

The Westerner warlock fiddled with the wooden staff in his hands. His tone of voice was sinister.

“Haha, I should’ve known that the two hundred million dollars won’t be that easy!” A bearded old man in a white suit said. He looked like he was from South America.

His fingers were adorned with skull rings.

“This kid deserves nothing but death!” A man hidden in the shadows said coldly.

“I didn’t expect all of you to be here! There’s only one target though. Finders keepers!” The Westerner warlock said with a sinister smile.

His body flashed and he rushed out.

The other people were surprised when they saw that and they quickly caught up with him.

Tang Hao looked at them and grunted coldly.

He flicked his wrist and tens of jade talismans flew out. Then, he tapped his feet and dashed forward to clash with them.

  The intense battle broke out.

It did not last for long though. Very soon, the Western warlock flew backward while screaming in agony. His back slammed on a parked car and vomited blood.

A few more screams of agony were heard. The assassins were sent flying away.

Their expressions had turned from condescension to fear.

‘This kid is a freak!’ All of them thought the same thing as they ran away frantically. However, Tang Hao dragged each of them back by their collars and beat them all up.

Then, he tossed all of them into a single pile. It was quite a spectacular sight.

The assassins turned pale when they saw that, and their bodies trembled like threshing wheat. Their teeth chattered as if they were fighting.

‘Oh my god! This is too scary!

‘Is the kid a demon? Number eight is defeated. Number five is defeated. Number three, and number two too. Almost the entire top ten of the assassin ranking chart is wiped out.’

If news got out, the criminal underworld of the entire world would be shaken.

“Anyone else?” Tang Hao positioned himself on top of the pile of bodies and looked around him.

“Haha, don’t be too arrogant, kid! It’s my turn to shine!”

A peal of laughter echoed in the night, and a figure leaped down from one of the rooftops. He stood on top of a street lamp and looked down at Tang Hao.

It was a tall and thin Westerner, and he was beautiful beyond belief. His blond hair was dazzling, and the cologne that he wore was more fragrant than any woman’s perfume.

Everyone exclaimed in awe when they saw that person.

“It’s Mad John, the number one assassin!”

“Oh my god! He’s here too!”

The Westerner stood there in a cool pose. “The number one always appears at the climax! It’s a shame that those useless people have fallen. Kid, your life shall be taken by Mad John.”

Tang Hao rolled his eyes and mumbled, “Mad John? What an old-fashioned name!”

The Westerner was furious when he heard that.

“What did you say, you filthy kid? You’re the old-fashioned one! Your entire family is old-fashioned!” He cursed with unbelievably fluent Chinese.

  “Your Chinese is very good!”

“Isn’t that so!” Mad John replied smugly.

His expression immediately sank. “Don’t try small talk with me, kid. Prepare to die! Let me tell you, I’m unlike the other useless assassins. Guns and blades have no effect on me. I am a mighty werewolf! Only weapons made out of silver can defeat me!

“Silver weapons, do you have them?” The Westerner asked smugly.

“Oh, a werewolf!” Tang Hao mumbled as he rubbed his chin.

“Haha, you don’t have that, right? Then you can just wait and die! The two hundred million dollars is mine!” He bent over and prepared to transform.

Tang Hao flicked his wrists, and two short swords appeared in his hands. He smiled rather kindly and bashfully. “Um, do you mean these?”

The Westerner went cross-eyed when he saw that.

His eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. His foot slipped, and he nearly fell from the lamp post.

“Oh, Mommy!” He clung onto the lamp post. He did not fall on the ground, but his current state was unimaginably pathetic.

“What the hell? Why do you have silver weapons?” He could not help it but curse his bad luck.

That was an uncanny coincidence. Silver weapons were incredibly rare, so how did the kid get his hands on them? Furthermore, they were a matching pair of short swords.

‘Dammit, did that kid know that I was coming for him?’

A shiver coursed down his spine.

‘This kid is insane. I’d better run!’

He got up, said nothing but howled, then leaped to the rooftop, and disappeared into the night.

  The assassins were all shocked.

‘What? Mad John, the number one assassin, ran away without a fight?

  ‘What… What is going on?’

Tang Hao was also surprised. He did not expect that guy to run away just like that.

‘Well, whatever!’ He decided not to give chase.

The werewolf must have incredible speed. He might not catch up to him.

He turned around and, with guns in both hands, killed all the assassins in hiding. Then, he also dispatched the top ten assassins that were knocked out earlier.

In the top ten of the assassin ranking chart, eight had died, one ran away, and one did not show up. It was almost a complete wipeout.

“Now, it’s time to look at that Song guy!”

Tang Hao said coldly, turned around, and left.

Chapter 410 - The Heavenly Master From Dragon Tiger Mountain

In a lavish mansion in the countryside of Provincial City.

Son Lingfei sat behind an office table. He was anxiously looking at the phone in his hands.

He occasionally turned his head to look at his wristwatch.

‘How could this be? It’s already a full day, and there’s no news yet?’

Two hundred million Merrican dollars should be enough to send those assassins into a frenzy.

As far as he knew, countless assassins had arrived in Huaxia. They were the ones behind the shooting in the downtown cinema and the explosion in the residential area.

That would also mean that the assassins were set into motion.

However, nothing seemed to have happened to the kid, which made him incredibly frustrated.

‘It’s been almost five hours since the first attack started. There should be at least some news, right? Don’t tell me that all the assassins are useless?’

“Maybe the stronger ones haven’t arrived yet,” Song Linfei mumbled to himself as he continued to look at his phone.

He touched his cheeks. He could still feel the sting of the slap.

He cackled as his face contorted viciously.

“How dare you cross me, you filthy kid? I’ll make sure that you die in an unmarked grave!”

He got up, poured himself a glass of red wine, placed his feet on the table, and slowly savored it.

He was not worried about the assassins failing to get the job done, though he was quite anxious.

The kid was a master of martial arts, but how could he fend against so many assassins?

Moreover, the freaks on the top of the assassin ranking chart were coming for him too.

Those were not mundane people, but they had supe
rhuman powers. There was no one that they could not kill!

As long as those people came, the kid would definitely be dead meat!

He played some music to ease the tension.

A while later, his phone vibrated. He sat up, excited, and answered the call.

The next moment, his entire body stiffened, and the smile froze on his face.

  Crash!

His hand trembled, and the wine glass fell on the floor.

“How could this be? Impossible… this is impossible…” He mumbled mindlessly. He was still trying to process what he was told over the phone.

  Dead? All of them, dead?

All those assassins, including the monsters from the top ten, dead?

  How was that possible?

Those were the ten most powerful assassins in the entire world! Each one of them had superhuman powers. How did the kid defeat all of them?

He would have burst out laughing, if not that the person who called him was someone he trusted.

  That was too ridiculous!

However, he was not in the mood to laugh. His hands started to shake. His legs started to shake, too. His face gradually turned pale.

Terror rose from the bottom of his stomach and gripped his heart.

  ‘I guessed wrong!’

It turned out that the Tang kid was not from those departments in the army, but rather ‘that’ department. The one where all the people with superhuman abilities were gathered.

It meant that the kid was not a mundane person and had superhuman abilities too. No wonder he could kill the assassins in the top ten.

The kid must have found out that he was the one who put up the bounty, and he must be coming for him!

  ‘What should I do?’

His entire body trembled. He could not think of anything.

He could not have guessed that the kid was from ‘that’ department and had abilities far beyond his imagination.

His hands grew weak and the phone fell on the floor.

  He was truly afraid now!

Even the law would not be able to handle that person. If the kid got angry, his life would be in jeopardy!

“No, he wouldn’t dare to kill me. He still has loved ones and a business. He wouldn’t dare to kill me!” He calmed himself down.

He suddenly thought of something, and viciousness flashed across his face.

Now that he had crossed the kid anyway, he had to make sure that the kid was truly dead.

He picked up his phone and dialed a number.

“Is there anything, Linfei? It’s already so late. I’m about to go to bed.” An old voice spoke.

He sounded gentle and even a little indulgent.

Song Linfei shouted into the phone. “Save me, Grandpa! Someone wants to kill me! He’s not a mundane person. It’s those cultivators that you’ve talked about before. He’s coming to kill me now.”

  “What?”

Song Weimin, Song Linfei’s grandfather was instantly worried. “What’s going on, Linfei?”

“Grandpa! Someone has a grudge against me because of business matters. I didn’t expect that he was not a mundane person. He’s coming to kill me now.”

Song Linfei pretended to be in a panic.

Meanwhile, in a house somewhere in the Capital, Song Weimin slammed on the table and stood up.

He was in his eighties, but he was still healthy. His face was full of color and his eyes were full of spirit.

  His brows straightened in anger.

How dare someone in Huaxia dare to lay a finger on someone from the Song family, and his grandson no less? How brazen must that person be?

So what if the other person was a cultivator? They did not have the influence the Song family had.

“Grandpa, didn’t you say that you know some heavenly masters?” Song Linfei said worriedly.

Song Linfei was surprised. “Yes, I know some of the heavenly masters from Dragon Tiger Mountain! Don’t worry, Linfei, I’ll get them to come to you. You’ll be fine.”

“Please be quick, Grandpa!” Song Linfei shouted and ended the call.

He tossed his phone away and his expression sank.

His grandfather told him that the heavenly masters of Dragon Tiger Mountain were elites in the Huaxia cultivation world. They would be able to handle that filthy kid.

He waited for a while before he heard a commotion outside his mansion.

Then, screamed of pain and agony were heard.

The commotion continued from the main entrance and it came closer and closer.

Song Linfei sat in the room. His eyes were transfixed on the tightly shut door.

His fists were clenched tightly and his face was slightly pale.

He was confident that the kid would not kill him, though that was only a hunch. The kid might be on a suicide mission. He might lose it all just to see Song Linfei dead.

The footsteps got nearer and nearer to the door.

The footsteps paused for a while, then the door was kicked open with a loud bang. The person who appeared in front of the door was none other than Tang Hao.

Tang Hao’s face was ice-cold and his eyes were replete with killing intent.

“What are you doing, you Tang kid? You must be crazy! You’re intruding upon a civilian house and you’ve injured my bodyguards. You’ve broken the law. Do you believe if I’ll call the police on you?”

Song Linfei slammed the table and stood up.

Tang Hao narrowed his eyes, took several steps forward, and slapped his face.

“Don’t pretend that you don’t know anything, Song guy. You should know very well what you did, and why I’m here to find you.”

Song Linfei was sent flying by that slap and he fell on the ground.

“Tell me, what did I do to you?” Song Linfei roared madly as he struggled to get up from the floor while covering his face. “Don’t accuse me if you don’t have any evidence.”

Chapter 411 - The Heavenly Master Arrives

Tang Hao smirked and slapped him again.

“You’re still pretending to be unaware? Don’t think that I don’t know that you’re the one behind the bounty. You’d better take it down, otherwise…”

  “Otherwise, what?”

Before Tang Hao could finish speaking, Song Linfei yelled as he struggled on his feet while covering his face. He had a crazed look on his face. “What are you going to do to me, Tang kid?

“Do you dare to kill me? If you kill me, you’ll be dead too. We’ll die together if that’s what you want.” Song Linfei yelled madly.

Tang Hao glared at him coldly. “I don’t have to kill you. There are so many ways to make your life a living hell. I can make you live the rest of your life in complete agony.”

Song Linfei trembled, and his face turned pale.

However, he soon found his courage again. “If you dare lay a finger on me, the Song family will not forgive you. My grandpa already knows about you. If you dare do anything to me, he won’t forgive you.”

Tang Hao furrowed his brows when he heard that.

That guy’s grandfather was Old Master Song. He, like Old Master He, was one of the founding fathers of the country, though the former’s status was even more elevated than the latter. He was truly one of the most influential people in the country.

“Why, are you afraid now?” Song Linfei smirked.

Then, his expression turned mocking. “You might be powerful, but you’re still just a lowly peasant. You’re nothing in front of true authority!”

Tang Hao narrowed his eyes. He grabbed Song Linfei’s head and slammed it against the wall.

“Don’t be too cocky. Do you think I won’t kill you? If I did, I could just run away from the country,” Tang Hao said coldly.

“Haha, do you think you can run away after you killed me? Do you think that no one in this world can defeat you? Let me tell you, the Song family is acquainted with the heavenly masters from Dragon Tiger Mountain. My grandfather has already summoned one of them to come he
re. You’re dead for sure!” Song Linfei yelled.

Tang Hao was surprised. ‘A heavenly master from Dragon Tiger Mountain?’

He heard of Dragon Tiger Mountain before.

Shabby Taoist Master told him that Dragon Tiger Mountain was another major force in the Huaxia cultivation world. Like Mao Mountain, they were an important Taoist landmark with a long history.

However, whenever they mentioned Dragon Tiger Mountain, their expressions would turn condescending.

“Those from Dragon Tiger Mountain are all greedy bastards!’

“They’re not Taoist masters, but losers! They indulge in money and women, and they’re corrupt and morally depraved. They only know how to enjoy themselves and forget their ancestral tenets. They’re a shame for all Taoist masters.”

“Pah! Do those perverts from Dragon Tiger Mountain deserve to be called Taoist masters? I’d rather not have the same title as them!”

Those were what the Taoist masters told him.

Tang Hao did not know who the heavenly masters were. After all, he had not met one before.

  “Dragon Tiger Mountain? Interesting!”

Tang Hao mumbled. He grabbed Song Linfei’s head again and slammed it at the wall.

“Alright, I’d like to see with my own eyes, how powerful your heavenly masters from Dragon Tiger Mountain are!” After that, he dragged Song Linfei by the collar down the stairs and to the living room.

He tossed him aside and sat down on a couch.

He was not that worried about the bounty on him. The assassins were mostly dead, and he was not in immediate danger.

Furthermore, those that managed to escape would have spread the news to stay away.

Now that the Song family knew about him and sent someone over, he would take care of them together at once. He would rather cause a bigger scene so that everyone would know to not cross him.

Song Linfei regained consciousness. He curled up at one corner and looked at Tang Hao resentfully.
