Very soon, there was a response.

  “Roger that. Requesting coordinates.”

“Coordinates received. Ready to move out!”

  Chapter 509 - Unbridled Rage

In the alley, Tang Hao waved his arm, and a fireball shot out.

The fireball exploded and cremated the corpse.

The wind rose and blew the ashes away.

Tang Hao turned around and headed toward the entrance of the alley.

His gaze was cold and brimming with killing intent.

The warlock’s client was an old enemy of Jiang Wanying’s grandfather and was also a gangster. That would make things easier; all Tang Hao had to do was to find and kill him.

At the entrance of the alley, a car sped toward Tang Hao and braked in front of him.

  Tang Hao was surprised.

The car window rolled down, and Tang Hao could see two Westerners sitting inside. The person sitting in the driver’s seat was a burly man in his thirties with a square face.

The other man was about the same age, though he was slightly plump.

They were dressed in black suits and shades, and wore a headset in their ears.

Tang Hao’s expression changed slightly when he glanced at them.

There was an unnatural qi signature on them. The two people were cultivators.

‘Right, that guy said that we’d attract some people if we fight here. They must be from a Merrican cultivator organization.”

If Huaxia had the Agency, then Merrica would have a similar cultivator organization.

He remembered that General Bai said that the cultivator organization in Merrica was called Department X.

According to General Bai, Department X was quite a powerful organization. However, they had been at loggerheads with the Agency.

The two Westerners in the car looked at Tang Hao.

They were shocked when they looked more clearly.

  “Asian?”

The two people’s expression turned condescending.

“Hey, kid! Was that you earlier? Did you do something bad?” The burly Westerner yelled fiercely at Tang Hao.

“How dare you cause trouble here? Do you have a death wish? Follow us for a bit!”

The Westerner got out of the car, lit a cigarette, took a drag, and walked toward Tang Hao.

“Which country are you from, kid? Don’t you know the rules here? Are you from Dongying or somewhere else?”

He seemed arrogant as he held the cigarette in his mouth.

His tone of voice was brimming with condescension.

He looked as though he was superior to other people. Tang Hao furrowed his brows unhappily.

However, Tang Hao was in someone else’s territory. He did not want to cause too much trouble, not when it might involve Jiang Wanying and the others.

He glared coldly at the person and prepared to walk around him and out of the alley.

The Westerner was instantly furious. “Hold it!” He yelled.

“Hey, I’m asking you to hold it, do you understand? Do you have a death wish? Do you believe that I’ll slaughter you?” The Westerner yelled viciously.

Meanwhile, the other Westerner leaned against the car and puffed clouds of smoke, looking at the scene with mockery and condescension on his face.

  “Looks like there’s drama!”

His eyes sparkled with excitement, as though he could not wait to dispatch the kid with his hands.

  “Oh, really?”

Tang Hao stopped walking and turned around, glaring at the two Westerners coldly.

He spoke that sentence in Chinese.

  The Westerner was surprised. “Huaxianese?”

Then, he laughed loudly. “Hahaha, I thought that you’re from Dongying! I’ve overestimated you. You turn out to be Huaxianese instead!”

After laughing for a while, his laughter faded away. “So, you’re a yellow pig!” He mocked viciously.

Tang Hao’s expression changed into something scary.

His eyes opened wide and exuded a terrifying glare.

“What did you call me? I dare you to say it again!” He spat out every syllable.

His tone of voice was ice-cold.

“Oh no! I’m so scared!” The Westerner laughed brazenly. The other Westerner also started laughing as well.

The burly Westerner stepped close to Tang Hao and leaned into his face. “Since you’ve already asked me, then I shall say it again. You Huaxianese are lowly yellow-skinned pigs.

“How dare you cause trouble in Merrica? You must be tired of living!”

Tang Hao narrowed his eyes. He clenched his right hand into a fist.

Then, he channeled the force into a punch.

The punch slammed into the ugly, laughing face like a ten-ton mallet.

  Wham!

What followed the dull thud was the crisp sound of bone breaking.

The man’s eyes bulged and his nose was crooked. Snot and spit flew out of his nose and mouth.

He wailed in agony as his body flew out like a cannonball. He slammed into the wall and formed a crater.

He panted heavily, and his face was scarily contorted.

Meanwhile, the plump Westerner stood there, petrified. His hands started shaking, and he dropped the cigarette.

Tang Hao flicked his wrists, cracked his neck, and walked over to the wall. He grabbed the Westerner’s hair and lifted him up. “I dare you… to say that again!” He said that coldly.

The Westerner looked at Tang Hao with resentment. “Yel… yellow…”

Tang Hao’s gaze turned cold. He grabbed the skull and slammed it against the wall.

  Bam! Bam! Bam!

After five times, the Westerner’s eyes glazed over and he passed out.

  “Useless!”

Tang Hao grunted. He tossed him on the ground like tossing a piece of trash.

He turned to look at the other Westerner. His gaze was like a pair of sharp swords.

The Westerner shuddered, and his double chin wobbled.

He was shocked by the cruelty of that Huaxianese kid.

However, he soon regained his composure.

The kid had attacked them without warning, and perhaps that was why his partner could not react in time and was injured.

On a level playing ground, he did not believe that he would lose to the kid.

“You have a death wish, kid!”

  He gritted his teeth viciously.

He reached behind his waist and pulled out a black staff made of wood.

One end of the staff suddenly lit up with flames which spiraled toward Tang Hao.

Tang Hao waved his hand, and a fireball shot out, meeting the flame spiral in mid-air.

The shockwave of the explosion sent the plump Westerner flying.

His eyes opened round and wide in extreme panic.

He had finally realized that the Huaxianese kid was a lot more powerful than him.

“Wh… wh… what do you want to do? You are in Merrica now, and I’m from Department X. You can’t kill me. You’ll be in big trouble if you did.”

He crawled backward on all fours. His face was wracked with panic.

Eventually, his back struck the car, and he could not retreat anymore.

He lifted his left arm and pressed a button on his wristwatch.

“Come and save me!” He yelled maniacally.

“Department X? I’d like to meet them!”

Tang Hao grunted coldly. He threw out a jade talisman and blew him up into bits.

  Chapter 510 - : Rising Threat Level

  At the base in Merrica.

The command center was deathly silent.

The Westerners dressed in military uniforms all seemed shocked.

A long time later, someone said with much difficulty, “The two Guardians are confirmed dead.”

Everyone exclaimed incredulously when they heard that.

How long was it since a Guardian died? That was at least two years ago!

  “This
is a serious act of provocation!”

“Immediately activate the Level D alert. Gather all forces in the vicinity to destroy the enemy!”

  “Yes, General!”

Very soon, the alert was broadcast.

“This is HQ. This is HQ. A major threat has appeared in L City. Two Guardians have perished. The threat level is now at Level D. All L City personnel are requested to mobilize and destroy the enemy.”

Many people in L City and the surrounding cities were alerted.

They hastily left their houses, got into their cars, and drove toward L City.

  …

In the alley, Tang Hao waved his hand. A fireball shot out and reduced the other Westerner into ashes.

His expression was eerily scary and ice-cold.

He did not want to cause any trouble, but he could not tolerate anyone looking down upon Huaxia.

“Department X, right? Let’s play today!” Tang Hao mumbled.

He went to the middle of the road, retrieved a machine gun from his pocket dimension, and fired into the sky.

The street instantly descended into chaos. The people there shrieked and ran away in all directions, looking for a place to hide.

“Looks like it’s not enough!” Tang Hao looked around him and mumbled.

He took out some explosives and tossed them on the street.

  Boom! Boom! Boom!

The explosives detonated and sent shockwaves in all directions, shattering all the glass panes in the area.

The street became more chaotic than ever. The people screamed and ran away, thinking that they were being attacked by terrorists.

Very soon, the street was deserted.

“That’s more like it!” Tang Hao dusted his hands. He walked down the street once and was relieved when he found that no one was left.

Even when trouble came to him, he did not want to harm innocent people.

He strolled into a cafe, poured a cup of coffee for himself, added some sugar cubes, then sat down on a chair outside and casually sipped the coffee.

“Mmm, tastes not bad!” Tang Hao smacked his lips and said.

Very soon, a police car came with sirens blazing, though it turned around halfway and left quickly.

A few minutes later, a car driven by a Westerner in his forties came along the road.

He drove very slowly and carefully because he knew that two of his colleagues were killed there.

‘The culprit must be a sinister, evil warlock!’ He guessed.

Such incidents had happened in the past.

However, people who dared challenge the authority of Department X always end up dead.

‘That guy must have run away! He shouldn’t be still here.’

He looked to his left and right as his car coasted down the road. Suddenly, he noticed something and was shocked.

His eyes opened round and wide.

He could not believe his eyes. He shook his head to clear his vision, then rubbed his eyes and looked again.

His body trembled in a mixture of shock and confusion.

  ‘What is going on?

‘Why is someone still here, and a kid, no less? The most ridiculous thing is that he’s sitting at the curb drinking coffee.’

The scene on the deserted street was unbelievably uncanny.

‘Dammit! Is this kid an idiot? Everyone else has already cleared the scene, but he’s still there drinking coffee. Does he have a death wish?’

He chuckled and let down his guard.

He was even more sure that the culprit had run away.

‘Only an idiot would not run away after killing someone from Department X.

‘Right, the kid might have seen something. Let me get some information from him.’

  “Hello!”

He stuck his head out of the window and yelled at Tang Hao, ‘Hey, kid, what happened here earlier? Did you see anything?

“Right. Did you see someone very evil and scary passing by?”

As he yelled, he got closer to Tang Hao.

He was surprised again when he looked at Tang Hao’s face. He noticed that the kid’s face seemed to be shrouded by a layer of mist. He could not see the kid’s face clearly.

“Oh no, is he a ghost?” He mumbled again and rubbed his eyes.

No matter how he looked at it, the kid’s face remained as inscrutable as ever.

Tang Hao took another sip of coffee, lifted his head, and grinned. “I’m sorry, I think that the evil and scary person you were talking about is me!”

The Westerner shuddered when he heard that.

  ‘How is that possible?

‘Why would he stay here after killing someone? I’ve never seen or heard someone so arrogant.

‘This is a brazen act of provocation!’

He became furious and yelled, “How dare you kill our people and stay here? Prepare to die!

“Where are you from? Tell me your name!”

“I’m from Huaxia!” Tang Hao spoke each syllable carefully.

The Westerner was surprised, then his facial features contorted into something vicious.

  ‘Huaxia? They are the enemy!’

  “Die!”

He roared and produced a wooden staff in his right hand. Lightning crackled on the tip of the staff, illuminating his wicked face.

The staff fired a lightning bolt at Tang Hao.

Tang Hao grunted gently. He flicked his wrist, and a jade talisman shot out.

  Boom!

Lighting and fire exploded in a dazzling display.

The two forces collided, and the resulting shockwave shook the car. The Westerner inside was thrown about.

When he came to his senses and focused his gaze, he noticed the pitch-dark barrel of a gun pointing at his head.

“Don’t, don’t…” he trembled and begged.

Tang Hao remained impassive as he pulled the trigger.

  Bang!

Blood sprayed as the gun fired a bullet.

The Westerner fell back and died.

After disposing of the corpse, Tang Hao returned to his seat and continued drinking his coffee.

The cars came one by one. They were all from Department X. Not only there were warlocks, but there were also werewolves. Tang Hao killed a total of seventeen of them.

The base fell into silence once more.

“Another dead… oh my god! That was the nineteenth one!”

“How could this be? Just who is that guy?”

They all stood up and exclaimed in surprise, wearing incredulous looks on their faces.

Nineteen Guardians were reported dead. That was a gravely serious situation that had not happened in decades.

“Level B! This is a Level B alert! Sound the alarm. Mobilize everyone in the base and the special forces to fly to L City now.

“Also contact the Department of Defense. At the same time, broadcast an emergency evacuation notice in L City. I want no one else in a two-mile radius,” The commander roared maniacally.

Chapter 511 - Out of Hand

More alarms rang in the command center.

The entire base descended into chaos.

There were many different types of alerts signifying different threat levels. The lowest and most common was Level E. Level D was the next highest level, and it happened once every few months.

Level C, the next level, was already considered a high-level threat.

Level B was the second-highest threat level. It was extremely serious. The Department of Defense would be notified, and the army would be deployed.

Finally, Level A was the highest threat level. That would mean a national-level threat. The President would be notified.

Of course, there were rumors that higher threat levels than Level A existed. However, no one was able to verify those rumors.

The alert that was raised in the base was Level B. That was considered a very serious threat.

  “Go go go!”

Squads of soldiers rushed out of the buildings in the base. They ran
toward the airfield and rode on transport planes.

A group of menacing-looking men in black robes carrying wooden staves also came out of the buildings and got on the planes.

The planes took off and flew toward L City.

Things were also getting busy in a military base near L City. Squads of soldiers gathered, and Black Hawks flew into the air toward the city area.

Meanwhile, the public broadcast system in L City broadcast an emergency newsflash that played on every television screen.

  Police cars scrambled everywhere.

  “Hey, what’s going on?”

“Do I look like I know? I heard that it’s a terrorist attack. There’s a bomb, I don’t know what type, but it looks scary.”

Such conversations were happening everywhere in L City.

Tang Hao listened to all the commotion going around him as he sat there. He was somewhat baffled.

“Is there a need?” He mumbled.

“Whatever. I should get more coffee!” After he finished his current cup of coffee, he went into the cafe and poured himself another cup.

  The sun was setting.

  Whir! Whir! Whir!

A fleet of military helicopters appeared from the edge of the city.

  “F*ck!”

Tang Hao rolled his eyes when he saw the imposing scene.

It seemed as though things were getting out of control. He only wanted to warn Department X to stay away, but it looked as though they were coming for war.

‘Well, whatever. I’m not afraid anyway!’

  Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!

A fleet of unmanned drones flew across the sky like falcons. A few of them whizzed over Tang Hao’s head.

Tang Hao lowered his head and took another sip of coffee.

Meanwhile, a convoy of vehicles drove into the city. They were parked about ten blocks away from Tang Hao.

The civilians had already been evacuated. The military set up a makeshift command center there.
