“Fuck off,” I said, my heart racing.

Stellan grinned. "No. I mean it. And I'm not just saying that because you're my boyfriend."

I rolled my eyes. "If you keep this up, we might have to do a repeat of the shower scene."

"Maybe another time. Today I had something else in mind.”

I furrowed my brow. "Is something planned for today?"

Stellan took a sharp breath and stared at his toes. Then without another word he dropped to his knees.

My heart raced. Was this actually happening?

He took a sharp breath. "Rowan," he began, rubbing his fingers nervously over his jeans. "When we first met, I had no idea we'd end up meshing so well. I certainly didn't think we'd end up playing for the same team.”

"Oh my God. I really hope you're not proposing."

Stellan stared into my eyes. "The first night we shared in the tent was magical. I never told you this but you were sexy as hell from the first moment I saw you. But over the past few weeks, you've become everything to me."

He pulled something out of his pocket. "What I'm trying to say is…"

It was too much. I picked him up and wrapped him in my arms. "Oh my God. Yes, I do."

Stellan's eyes brimmed with tears. "You mean it? You don't want me to finish what I'm trying to say?"

I burst into laughter. "If that Tiffany box in your pocket is any indication, I have a funny feeling I know what’s on your mind."

Stellan burst into tears. "Will you marry me?"

"Yes," I shouted, loud enough for the entire rink to hear. Some of the boys turned their heads but we weren’t paying attention. "Yes, I do. You’re the sweetest, most beautiful man in the world. I'm so happy to make you mine."

Stellan sniffled. "Even if you had a bad experience with marriage with your last partner?"

"Yes." I brought his lips to mine and passionately kissed him. When we parted, I said, "You're so freaking different. I'm so happy you’re in my life."

I kissed him again. It was a magical, otherworldly kiss. It swept me off my feet, and I never wanted to leave.

  "I love you, future husband."

Stellan wrapped his arms around mine. "I love you too. I'm so happy you're mine."

With that, I tucked him under my thick strong arm and led my beautiful future husband off the ice.
