“Do you want to…?” I said, trailing off, suddenly realizing these were some of the first words I’d spoken to him since I got here. I felt suddenly embarrassed, but he didn’t seem to care.
“Yes. Oh my god, yes.”
“I’m nervous,” I said, surprising myself. Almost instinctively he reached out and took my hand.
“Me too,” he grinned. “We’ll go slow.”
I nodded. “Slow works,” I said. “Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’m sure,” he said. “We’ve already lost so much time, I don’t want to waste any more of it.”
I grinned at him. “Get on your back,” I sai, my cock twitching as he shuffled up the bed and put his head on a pillow, lifting his legs into the air, and exposing his asshole. It was so similar to the position that we’d had sex in all those years ago, I could see the flashbacks in my head. That had been incredible. What had I done then? It had been so long.
I held onto his calves and slicked up my finger, slowly working it against his hole. He took a deep breath and I watched him relax as I pushed my index finger inside him. I could feel the warmth of him, the tightness of him, watching his cock twitch as I pushed it all the way inside. A lazy smile fell onto his face, beads of sweat on his forehead.
“Are you okay?” I asked.
He nodded.
I pulled my finger out and started to push my middle finger too, keeping a careful watch on his face, not wanting to hurt him, knowing that he might not have done this for a while. I certainly knew I hadn’t. He groaned as the two fingers slipped inside, as they filled him up. He tensed a little too. He was so tight. He definitely hadn’t done this for a while.
I kept my fingers there and took hold of his cock again, jerking it up and down and watching his face light up as I timed it with my fingers pushing into him. I loved watching him like that, watching him in the throes of pleasure.
“Stop it, stop it,” he breathed. “I’m already close and I don’t want this to be over yet.”
Slowly, I pulled my fingers out and positioned my throbbing dick against his hole. I wanted this so much, needed this so much. I wanted us to be connected like this again, just like we had been all those years ago. I looked down at him, certain he could feel the warmth of my cock against his hole. He nodded at me and, carefully, I pushed. It took a little bit of pressure and he let out a little moan when the head of my cock slipped in. I pushed a little harder, letting myself slide a little further into him until I was pretty much all the way in..
“Can I…?” I breathed. “Are you okay?”
“Yeah,” he breathed, sweat forming on his brow, his cock leaking all over his stomach. “I am. Keep going,” he said. “Please keep going.”
Slowly, I pulled out almost all the way, sliding my dick back inside. He moaned a little, still smiling that lazy smile, so I did it again. I started to thrust and he started to jerk his cock in tandem, stifling his own moans, keeping himself quiet as I ploughed in and out of him. We were in sync, finding a rhythm that suited us both, the two of us sweating and out of breath as we fucked. We were together again, connected like we had been that night in the VIP room of the club, finding and discovering each others bodies as if for the first time.
I picked up speed, fucking so hard my balls slapped against his ass and I slowed down, pulling all the way out to thrust back in again, loving the look on his face as I did, that mix of pleasure and pain and wondering what I was going to do next, keeping him guessing, keeping him smiling, keeping him happy. I loved seeing him happy. That’s what I wanted to do from now on, whether it be sexually or otherwise, I wanted Brent Bridges to be as happy as I could make him.
But I was already struggling to keep control of myself, getting closer and closer to the edge and I could tell he was too. He was bright red and sweating, beads of it rolling down his temples.
“I’m gonna come, Brent,” I breathed, stammering through the sentence as I tried to keep hold of it for a few seconds longer.
“Do it,” he said. “Me too. I can’t-“ And he couldn’t, a spray of white cum burst from his cock and landing hard on his chest, accompanied by a groan.
As his asshole tightened around my dick, I kept thrusting, kept thrusting until I could feel myself at the edge. The knot in my dick swelling and locking me in place as I came, wave after wave of it coming over me as I filled him up. I could hardly hold myself up, my arms shaking as I finished inside him.
It was like the first time all over again. It had been a long time since I had done that to anyone. Well, since I’d done that to Brent, that would have been the last time. My arms were on either side of his head and I was looking down at him, looking into those eyes like they were the only thing worth looking at in the whole world.
I leant down and I kissed him, slowly, softly, letting the world come back into focus around us, the tidy bedroom, the made bed, ruined by our activity. He looked exhausted and I knew I certainly was.
When the knot subsided, I pulled out a little of my come spilling out onto the bedclothes. I was about to mop it up when Brent grabbed his shirt and soaked it up.
“Stay here,” he whispered, looking up at me with big round eyes. “Just stay with me, Jarrett,” he continued. “Please?”
I couldn’t help myself. It was all I wanted in the world to spend the night with him. I leant down and kissed him again before coming in behind him, wrapping an arm around his stomach and pulling him close, my chest pressing into his back.
We were out of breath, the pair of us spent, steadily coming back to reality, coming down from the highest of highs. I couldn’t believe I had found him. It hardly seemed possibly. I wanted to kiss him again, or do something just to make sure that it wasn’t a dream, to make sure I wasn’t just making this up in my head.
I leant forward and kissed the back of his neck and he shivered.
Yet here he was, real as anything.
The next morning broke and I was still in bed with Brent. I couldn’t believe it had happened again. I hadn’t planned on fucking him when I came over, not really. I’d planned to talk maybe, to see where we could take this, but when he opened the door, when I caught his scent, I lost myself. I held him a little closer and enjoyed the feel of him backing up into me, the two of us slotting together like two pieces of a puzzle.
He stirred and I kissed the back of his neck as he woke.
“Good morning,” I growled.
He shivered. “Good morning yourself,” he said, rolling around in the bed so he could face me. His hair was a ridiculous mess, his face split into a goofy grin, his eyes a little dazed and a lot sleepy. “That wasn’t what I was expecting to happen last night,” he added.
“Can I be totally honest and say me too?” I said. “Do you… do you want me to go?” I asked. “I totally understand if you do, I know Emery will be awake soon and that’s just an awkward situation waiting to happen.”
“You totally don’t have to go,” he said.
“Come on, Brent, I’m her teacher,” I said. “If she sees me in her house when she wakes up we’re going to give her a freaking heart attack and I’m not about to do that to her.”
He reached across the space between us and took hold of the back of my head, beckoning me closer and into a soft kiss. I was already standing to attention. Oh what I would give for a repeat of last night? I don’t know if I could take not having that with him again, and soon!
“You don’t have to go anywhere,” he whispered. “I really mean it. I’ve always been honest with Emery about her having two dads and she’s never batted an eye about it. If anything it would probably make her really happy. She seems to like you a lot.”
“She likes me as a teacher, she wouldn’t necessarily like me as a father.” A father. Shit. That suddenly felt like a whole lot of responsibility falling down onto my shoulders.
“You’re my fated mate, Jarrett,” Brent said softly, not able to keep the smile out of his voice. “So, one way or another, she’s going to be seeing a l
ot more of you, no?”
“I guess so.”
He kissed me again. “Don’t guess so, Jarrett,” he said. “Know so.”
We got ourselves dressed and I tentatively followed Brent out into the kitchen. He started pottering around, making coffee, setting out some breakfast things ready for Emery to come downstairs, a few boxes of cereal that she could choose from and the milk. I looked at the boxes. I wondered which one was her favorite. I hated that it was something I’d missed out on. It was so small but I didn’t know what my daughter’s favorite cereal was and that cut me up in a way I didn’t expect it to.
There was a noise from upstairs, a door being slammed shut and then footsteps rushing down and towards us. I tensed up, my knees locked, my chest felt tight, everything about this moment felt like it was in a pressure cooker.
Brent placed a hand on my lower back and kissed me lightly on the shoulder. “Breathe, Jarrett,” he said softly. “It’s going to be fine. I promise.”
I did my best to stay calm but was definitely struggling, like I was drowning in the air.
She appeared in the doorframe, her hair loose and a little scraggly from where she’d slept on it. The smile that had been plastered across her face faded instantly. I saw her pull herself to her full height and lock eyes with me. If I’d been paying attention when she’d done this before, I’d have known that she was mine. I used to do this all the time as a kid, always thinking I was the big alpha. I tried not to smile. I couldn’t help it. That was my girl.
“What’s happening?” she said slowly.
She narrowed her eyes at me, regarding me with a look of absolute confusion. I could hardly blame her. I had no idea how I’d react if I saw one of my teachers in my kitchen on a Saturday morning.
I didn’t know what to do. I opened my mouth to speak but nothing came out, not even a good morning. I wanted to say something smart, something to make this moment easier, but I just couldn’t find the words. Even though it wasn’t a first impression, it really felt like one and I was definitely fucking it up.“You said you weren’t going to talk to Mr. Ewen until Monday, Dad, what’s happening?” Emery said, a hand on her hip, an eyebrow raised.
I looked over to Brent, willing him to say something.

“It’s nothing to worry about honey,” I said, passing a cup of coffee to Jarrett and then taking one myself, heading over to the breakfast table. Emery followed me carefully, still occasionally eyeing Jarrett as if he was about to jump at her or something. It was really unsettling. For one thing I wasn’t sure if, in a fight, Jarrett would even win against Emery.
“Tell me, Papa,” she said, sitting on a chair next to me, eyeing up the cereal. She couldn’t decide where her focus should be, on me or on the cereal. “This is weird, you know it’s weird otherwise you wouldn’t be acting weird.”
I looked over and Jarrett who was sipping on his coffee. “She’s a smart kid,” I said with a shrug. I didn’t even know I was acting weird and she’d already clocked it.
“What are you telling me for?” he spluttered. “I teach her, I know you can’t get a damn thing past her.”
“You’re not allowed to say damn,” Emery said with a smirk.
“You’re not allowed to say damn,” Jarrett parried and actually got a smile out of her.
“What’s going on?” Emery asked again, banging a fist on the table.
I took a deep breath and took hold of her hand. “I have something I need to tell you honey,” I said softly. “It’s quite a big thing but I think it’s going to make you pretty happy.”
“Okay.”
“You know Mr. Ewen,” I said.
“Duh,” she snarked. “He’s right there. Why is he in our kitchen?”
“Well, he’s not just your teacher,” I said, taking a deep, shuddering breath. I couldn’t believe I was about to say it out loud. It was all i’d really ever dreamed of being able to say to Emery, of being able to tell her that we had a complete family now. “Mr. Ewen is your Dad.”
Her jaw dropped, her eyes bulged, she looked confused. “What?”
“I only found out yesterday,” I said. “So it’s all very brand new to me too. I didn’t want to keep it from you any longer because this is news for you as much as it’s news for me.”
“I can’t believe it,” she said, her face splitting into a grin. “I don’t just have a papa now, I have a dad too!” She squealed and leapt off her chair, running over to Jarrett in the kitchen and hugging him tight. She was crying, little streams of tears running down her face as she grinned and grinned and grinned. She looked as if her face might split in two and it was all I could do not to cry with her. She looked how I felt on the inside. “This is everything I ever wished for Papa.”
“You wanted Mr. Ewen as your Dad?” I blinked. “I knew he was a good teacher and that you liked him, but I didn’t think you liked him that much.”
“No, silly,” she said. “I always hoped that you’d find Dad, Mr. Ewen, Dad, whatever! Whenever we sit outside and look up at the stars, you tell me to make a wish when we see a shooting star. Every time I did I wished for us to be a whole family, and now my wish has come true.”
Jarrett’s eyes looked a little misty. Mine were too. I couldn’t believe how happy this had made her. And seeing her this happy only made me feel all the happier. I didn’t know how she was going to react and here she was embracing it like it was the best thing in the world. Which I suppose it was.
“Can he hang out with us today?” Emery said, finally letting go of Jarrett and bouncing up and down in the kitchen. She hurried over to my side, her face big and open. “Please, Papa, please, it will be fun!”
“I don’t know if Jarrett has time, I’m sure he has lots of work to do,” I looked over at Jarrett, hoping that he knew that I really wanted him to stay, but I was giving him a way out if he needed it. I didn’t want to overwhelm him when he’d only really just become part of our family.
“No he doesn’t, do you Jarrett?” Emery said, looking up at him, her eyes big and hopeful. I so didn’t want him to feel guilted into this.
“I think it sounds like a fine idea if your Papa is okay with it.” He looked over at me and smiled warmly. He was so very handsome. How did I get this lucky? How did all of the pieces just manage to fall into place, it hardly seemed possible?
“That’s more than okay with me,” I said, standing from the table. “How about we make a morning of it,” I added. “Get yourself dressed and ready, Emery and we’ll head on out for breakfast instead.”
“I know a really great place,” Jarrett said. “And I think Emery will really like it. How does Frostbites sound?”
Emery squealed, running out of the kitchen and barreling upstairs.
“Holy shit that was a noise,” I said. “Where did that come from? What the hell is Frostbites?”
Jarrett laughed. “Frostbites is this little bakery in town that has the best coffee in town, I swear,” he said. “It does the best pastries you will ever taste and donuts too. I actually bring them in for the kids when they’ve had a really good week as a little treat.”
“Oh,” I said. “That explains the screaming.”
Jarrett laughed again. “Yes, that would be why she screamed and ran upstairs. It’s a good thing I swear. A Danish from Frostbites will change your life.”
“I think I’ve had quite enough life changing over the past twenty four hours, don’t you?” I said with a grin. I walked over to him and kissed him softly on the lips. Wow. “You honestly didn’t have to come,” I added. “I tried to get you out of it, and you totally still can. I can take her to Mr. Frosties or whatever.”
“Frostbites,” he said with a grin. “But there is no way on this planet I am going to miss out on this. She’s excited to spend time with me and get to know me as her…as her…”
“Her Dad, Jarrett,” I said. “You’re her dad, you’re allowed to say it.”
He smiled. “It’s just a lo
t to get used to. I mean, it’s the best feeling in the whole world but I just don’t want to fuck it up.” He sighed. “I’m really glad she wants to spend time with me because I want to spend time with her and get to know her as a kid, a person, rather than knowing her as one of my students. I missed out on eight years of her life and I want to make up for that.”
“Honestly, Jarrett, if I’d known where to find you-“
“I know you would have,” he said, putting a soft hand on my shoulder. “I know you wouldn’t have kept her from me on purpose. I’ve not just missed out on eight years with her, I’ve missed out on eight years with you so we need to start making up for that now.”
I could hardly believe this was happening to me. After so many years all by myself, of it just being me and Emery, here I was in the kitchen with an incredibly beautiful man who just happened to be my fated mate. My entire life had been turned upside down in the space of twenty four hours and I couldn’t be happier with it.
He was kind and sweet and wanted to know me and Emery, he wanted to be part of our lives. It was so stupidly exciting, I could hardly keep the grin off my face.
We went back to my room and locked the door, heading into the ensuite bathroom so we could take a shower. I didn’t know what would happen while we were in there, I honestly thought we would shower separately, but no sooner had he climbed in the shower was he undressing me and pulling me in there with him.
Every bit of him was stupidly beautiful. His skin was soft, there was a light smattering of hair on his chest, under his arms, running all the way down to that absolute weapon that he had between his legs. It amazed me that it actually managed to fit inside me. My cock twitched at the thought.
But more than that he seemed to be enjoying my body too. It maybe wasn’t the usual body that you found in werewolf communities. I wasn’t ripped from going to the gym or from going on runs in the wild, I was just normal looking. I wasn’t all taut and tight around the middle like he was, I was a little bit chubbier, still in decent shape I guess but not a fucking model-esque body builder like Jarrett was. But he didn’t seem to mind. He looked at me like he really wanted to look at me, like he was really seeing me, and it made me feel handsome in a way I hadn’t done before.
