Walker and Valerie

“I want to be on top.” She looked a bit unsure. I thought about it just a moment. I knew her core strength was enough, but with no power from her legs she wouldn’t be able to move much. If I held onto her hips, I could do the work for her.

I smiled. Yeah, it would work. “Hold onto me. I’m going to flip us.” She wrapped her arms around me, and I rolled us. She took a moment to adjust her legs. Once she was comfortable, she put her hands on my hips and start to push herself up. I took her hips and helped her.

She looked down at me and smiled, then sighed as she slid down on my cock. She looked so fucking beautiful. My Valkyrie. “Good?” I asked her.

“Yeah, this is so … God, it’s good.” We found a good rhythm together. Looking at her with her hair falling around her shoulders, the ecstasy on her face, I was not going to last long. Her breasts were small, easily covered by my hand, but they still had a little bounce as she would bottom out on my cock. I was getting ready to come; I could feel the tingling and tightening.

Her breath sped up, then she held it; I could feel her walls quiver. She came. I followed her as she flew. I held her in place as she milked me, then crushed her to me. God, she was amazing.

We would get up after my parents left, have breakfast, then enjoy each other for a few hours before going to explore my little town. She found that I had packed a few of her books and her toys. We made good use of them. I couldn’t believe she would ever worry about me being bored with her.

I talked with Domino on Thursday; he said all the evidence against Jessica had checked out. She would have a warrant for her arrest issued on Friday. The pictures that Trick sent to the Tribune also were published with quite the story about the dirty PO. He was to be arrested on Friday as well. They both were looking at multiple charges and quite a bit of jailtime. Fine by me.

Val and I agreed we would go home Saturday. I would stay out of the Sunday traffic of people heading home after a weekend away, which was what I wanted. She would have enough time to get back into her routine before going to work on Tuesday. Val and I also talked about my living situation since there was no way I would stay in the apartment again. She said if I wanted, I could stay with her. Of course, I wanted, but I didn’t want her to feel like we were rushing our relationship. She shrugged her shoulders and said she could always banish me to the guest room if I got too annoying. I said we would try it.

The drive home was uneventful. Tabby-Girl sat on Val’s lap and watched the world go by for a while, then curled up and napped. She seemed to have had a good time with Missy and Muffins. We had told my parents we would come up for Easter. My mom was thrilled. She liked having us around.

I pulled up to Val’s place and found parking in front. I was glad since I would have to make a few trips for everything. I got Val’s chair from the cargo hold and helped her in it. She had Tabby-Girl in her hoodie. I grabbed her litter box, Val opened the door and we went in. It shut behind us. I turned and looked to see why. There was Jessica’s parole officer standing there with a gun pointed at us.

“Well, hello. So nice both of you could join us. Walker, why don’t you put that disgusting thing down and come take the seat next to me.” Jessica was sitting on Val’s couch, her gun pointed at Val. “Oh, and don’t even think of reaching for the gun you have on you somewhere. I will shoot her if you do.”

I did what I was told and went to sit near Jessica. My heart was racing. “Finally, you are home. You left for a whole week and I couldn’t find you. That was not very nice. What do you have to say for yourself, Walker?”

“Jessica, what are you doing? Why are you doing this?” I thought she would’ve been arrested by now. I should have checked before coming home. Stupid.

“I would think it was obvious. I am getting what’s mine. You are mine, Walker. I did everything right; you were to love me. Then you have me thrown in jail. Well, I overlooked that and forgave you. I found out you moved to Chicago. Well, it was time to start a new life. My cousin said he would let me stay in his house. Just happens that his best friend is standing right over there. It was perfect. I had everything I needed to make you love me. But no, you started messing with the little cripple over there.” She pointed the gun at Val.

“I did everything I could think of to deter you from him. The nasty patron you threw out, the roaches, the toilets. They should have made you focus on your business, not on my Walker. I even called you breathing heavily into the phone to creep you out. Nothing worked, so that brings us to now. Valerie, you just have to die.” Jessica fired at Val. I tackled her, throwing her to the floor.

Then both of the doors in Val’s place blew open and guys in black tactical gear rushed the PO, me, and Jessica.

“We got her, Walker. Get Valerie.” It was Oatmeal’s voice. I let him have Jessica, who was still fighting on the floor. I looked over at Val, and my heart stopped.

  Chapter 26

  Valerie

I didn’t know getting shot would burn. It was in my leg; I could sorta feel it. I knew it burned, but it was almost like it was not happening to me but someone else. I heard someone near me yelling, “Val!” but it was like they were far away or underwater. I remembered to breathe; the breath came out as a wail.

“Val, I’m taking you to the hospital. Come on.” Walker was wrapping up my leg. Then he tried to get Tabby-Girl out of my hoodie. He didn’t look right. His breathing was too rapid.

Hospital, no. I do not like them. There was no way I would go in one again. “No.”

“Val, what do you mean no? You were shot. I’ve got to get you to the hospital. You are losing blood.” Walker sounded so worried.

“NO!” I yelled. “No hospitals. They will take everything, no. If you do, I will leave you. You do it. You fixed your friend. You can fix me.” I thought back to his friend Trick.

“Val, I can’t do that to you. I can’t cause you pain like that.” He sounded like his heart was breaking. He was holding his chest, like it hurt.

“Lach is in the clinic. He can do it; take her there,” Ape said. He held out his hand for Walker’s keys.

“Okay, Val, no hospital. But we are going now.” He had bandaged my leg as best as he could. He tried to pick me up, but he couldn’t.

  “Walker!” I yelled.

One of the guys came over to see what was going on. “Oh, shit.” He picked me and told one of the guys that was bigger than Walker to get Walker. They took us out to a van and loaded us up. He buckled me in the back seat and slid himself under my leg to elevate it. The driver tore off to Forces. I closed my eyes. I felt Tabby-Girl purring against me. I was glad I had her. She was warm, and I was starting to feel cold. “Thank you, Josie, for making me the fob,” I mumbled. “Thank you, Walker, for listening to me.”

“Lach! Lachlan! She’s passing out, and Walker is out! Help them!” Someone shouted.

  Chapter 27

  Josie

I was with Gena; we were getting a quick run in on the treadmills. There were about ten different operatives with us in the gym, including Oatmeal. I made sure I snagged the treadmill that would give me the best view of him. I felt my phone start to vibrate. I looked and it was Valerie’s fob; she’d activated it. I went over to her camera feeds in the app. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing.

“Gena, everyone needs to get to Valerie’s now! She and Walker at gunpoint in her apartment.” I didn’t realize I yelled. All the operators around us ran for the stairs to hit the armory. Ammo led them down, barking orders as he went.

Gena grabbed me. “Come on. Let’s get to the command center. Domino and Hack are going to meet us there.” I followed her.

I turned up the volume on the video feed until I could pull it up on a monitor. I could hear Jessica saying how she was behind everything that was going wrong. Now, I was pissed. How had she gotten around me so many times? I started to go back and check through all my programming.

“Sit rep,” Domino said as soon as he came in. Gena started to talk when we heard the gu
nshot. We watched the monitor as our guys broke down Valerie’s doors and subdued the PO. Walker tackled Jessica and threw her to the floor.

“Hack, pull all of Valerie’s medical records now. Is Lach here? He is going to need them,” I said as tears started to run down my cheeks. I saw the blood flowing from her leg. I knew she would refuse the hospital. Way too many bad things happened to her at them.

We saw Officer Bolen come in and arrest Jessica. Another cop took the PO away in cuffs. Valerie was fighting about the hospital. Walker didn’t look right he was clutching his chest. Ape got Walker’s keys and picked up the litter box. Tabby-Girl must be in Valerie’s hoodie, I thought. Where were we going to put them?

“Lach! Walker is down too! He was clutching his chest!” Domino yelled as Lach was walking past.

He must have been heading out front to help when Valerie got here. Hack got up and went to help for when the two paitents arrived. I looked at the code before me and for once it made no sense. I had no idea what I was looking at, and I had written it.

“Binary, put it away for now. Valerie and Walker need you; you can figure it out later.” Domino came up behind me grasping my shoulder.

I squeezed my eyes shut to stop more tears from falling. I reached up and patted his hand. “Thank you, Domino.”

“Family first, you know that.” He gave my fingers a squeeze before taking his hand back. I shut down my computer, then turned to Gena. She would know what I should do.

“Binary, she will be just fine. Walker too. Go make sure the bunk room is ready for the cat, her, and Walker.” She offered a small smile.

“Thanks, Gena.” I ran up the stairs to do her bidding as Ape pulled in the lot.

I went to the bunk room and shoved two bunks together. I knew Walker would not leave her side, so this was the best option. I picked up any stray items, a comb, an empty mag, and a T-shirt. I took the comb and T-shirt down to the gym and left them on a bench for the owners to find. I put the mag on Ammo’s desk. He would lock it up until the owner claimed it.

When I got back upstairs, I heard Lach in the clinic room deciding who would be where. I looked in. Lach had Valerie hooked up to IVs, a unit of blood, and had already taken an x-ray of her leg. It was great that Domino gave Lach pretty much everything he needed to take care of emergencies like this. Walker was on the other bed, he had been hooked up to heart monitor. He looked pasty, and not all like himself. He had been angled so he couldn’t see what Lach was doing.

“Walker, remember, don’t look at what I’m doing, mate.” Lach moved around the room getting instruments lined up on a tray.

“I won’t.” Walker weakly said. Lach hooked up some more monitors to Valerie, soon the beeping indicating Valerie’s steady heartbeat filled the room.

Lach had her leg prepped and was ready to go. “Binary, if you want to stay, I could use your help.” I walked in and stood at Valerie’s side.

Lach explained to me what he wanted me to do, what to look for. I just had to tell him about the numbers on the monitor.

“I couldn’t get Tabby-Girl to budge. She is still in the hoodie,” Walker said.

“Wow, poor thing must be freaked out. I have the bunk room ready for the three of you. Ape was bringing up the box and the food last I heard.” I felt bad for the little cat.

“All right, remember, no peeking,” Lach said as he started to extract the bullet.

A few tense moments later we heard the metallic ping of metal falling on metal. The bullet was out. “Just a little bit longer ’n we’ll have her right as rain,” Lach said. “How are you feeling now Walker? Still dizzy?”

“Not so bad, the pain is almost gone.” His coloring started to look better.

“Good! Alright, that part’s done. Now to clean then stitch.” Lach said, “and I’ll keep the stitches small.”

I watched the monitors. Nothing changed. A few moments passed, and I heard Walker shifting around. He was getting antsy and restless.

“What’s wrong Walker?” Lach called to him.

  “I want Val.”

“I know, mate just a few more minutes. We will get you two set up together.” Lach said. “Alright, she is all done,” Lach said, moving the tray away, covering it so we could not see. Probably a good idea because of the blood. He tore off the gown he was wearing and placed it with the tray. “She should be waking up in a half hour. Let’s deal with Walker.” Lach was looking at me.

“Sure,” I didn’t know what he wanted to do.

“We will push the beds together. Walker can hold her. She is going to be nausous when she wakes up.” Lach said moving Walker’s bed into the place he wanted. He brought a rolling chair and basin over to me. “You sit here. She will need that when she wakes up.”

Walker was back to looking over Valerie. “We can move her once she wakes up. Then we can situate them in the bunk room. She will be on an ibuprofen regiment. No opiates. Walker, I will have some notes for you shortly of other important things in her file. Walker, I don’t see you having in lasting effects from today’s episode. But you need rest and nothing exciting for the next few days.” Lach started working on his tablet. It looked like everything was going to be okay.

  Chapter 28

  Valerie

I was being rolled on my side. “Here, you are okay. Just let it come up.” I felt Walker rubbing my back and holding my hair back. I saw Josie’s hands in front of me with a basin. I was throwing up. I hated throwing up, but at least it would not be in my hair.

Another hand, one I didn’t recognize, had a cup of water. I took it and rinsed my mouth out. “Just rinse. We’ll get you some water in a bit,” a male voice with an Australian accent said.

Finally, I was done. I lay back. I could see I was in some sort of medical room. I remembered someone taking me to Forces; this must be the clinic. I felt Tabby-Girl moving on my belly. She was still there. Wow, I was not expecting that. She settled back down and started purring. I must have squished her when I threw up. Ugh, I felt crummy. My eyes finally landed on Walker, he was in a bed to me.

“Hey, Val, how do you feel?” He brushed my hair away from my face.

“Like crap. I really want this taste out of my mouth, and I have to pee.” I looked around for my chair. I didn’t see it.

“Lach, can you help her?” Walker asked the man with the Aussie accent.

“Sure, then we will work moving you.” Lach picked her up.

He helped me take care of my business. Josie had left my toiletries in the bathroom. “Would you mind if I brushed my teeth?” I asked him.

“Not at all, give me a moment and I will get somethings to make it easier. Are you okay holding yourself there?” Lach asked.

I was sitting on a toilet with my panties around my ankles, my leg bandaged, holding on the to the bars to support myself. “Sure, never better.”

He laughed, “Good spirts. I will be right back.” He was gone and back quickly. He had a basin and bottle of water. He held the basin so I could brush my teeth. It was awkward, but we managed. After I was done, he took me to the bunk room. “Do you want the hoodie on or off? And sorry about your pants. Are you okay lying around in just your underwear?” He asked.

I wanted Walker I really didn’t care about anything else. Tabby-Girl had already found her way to the bunk room. She got annoyed with all the moving I had been doing to go to the bathroom and had taken off.

“The hoodie off, please. I will be fine in the T-shirt; anything else will just be complicated. The blanket I have here will be fine.” Lach helped me and got me tucked in the bunk. He then handed me pills and I took them.

“Just antibiotics and ibprophen. Nothing exciting. But I do have you on regiment so that the pain should be bareable and combat any infection. Any questions?” Tabby-Girl found a spot on the foot of my bunk as he talked.

“What happened to Walker?” I asked. I had never seen him not be strong, not able to take care of us.

Lach sat on the edge of the bed, “Did Walk
er ever tell you why he is no longer a Delta?”

“A little," he said he had a heart condition.

He nodded, “It is his story to tell, but just know he will be fine. His prognosis is a long happy life especially if it is with you. I am going to bring him in, you two can talk it over.” He pat my leg but I didn’t really feel it and left. Now I was scared, what was wrong with him?

Lach reapperead with Walker in tow. He was wearing a pair of sweatpants and was still hooked up to a machine that he wheeled with him. He had the sticky pads with wires attached to his chest.

“Hi, feeling any better?” he asked, looking me over.

“Just tired. Not as crummy. Who knew what getting shot would feel like? How are you?” I asked as Lach helped him into bunk next to me.
