“I’m surprised you’re wearing boxers. Most of the time you don’t.” She chuckled.

“I wear them when I’m here. But I do tend to take them off when I get home.” He rounded the desk. Power tools were not to be fooled around with. He’d keep as many layers as he could between his cock and those things. “Now, before they come in and check, I want to have you.”

She wrapped her arms around him. “Sounds delicious, but maybe we should have done a little touching while we talked because I’m not even close, much less ready for a quickie.”

“I’ll get you ready, and you don’t have to worry about me. I’m always ready for you.” He grinned. “Now, let’s get these last bits off you.”

“You’re wearing something, too.” She wriggled. Her hips brushed against cock.

“Mine aren’t quite so clingy.” He turned her to face the wall. If she bent forward a little, she’d be in perfect position.

“Ah, now, that’s just not fair. I can’t touch you.” She glanced over her shoulder.

“As I said, I’m not the one that needs the help.” He slipped his arm around her and cupped her pussy. Her warmth seared his fingers, even through the silky fabric of her panties.

She rocked against his hand. He slid his index finger down the center of her folds, dragging the tip over her clit. She shivered. Damn, her intense reaction spurred his own need.

He unhooked her bra, pushing it over her shoulders. She rolled her shoulders and the green fabric fell to the ground. One piece down. Now, that last barrier between his fingers and her sweet skin. He looped his fingers into the waistband of her panties. He skimmed them down her thighs until she stepped out of them.

“Don’t tease me now. I do not want them walking in on us. If they do, you’re going to be a very unhappy man for the next week or so.” She shoved her hips back until they rubbed against him.

“I promise. They will not open that door.” He tightened his arm around her. Those men would realize by scent and sound what was happening. They’d wait until he and Tempest came out. “Now, pay attention and let me do my job, woman. You still need a lot of heating.”

“You’re kind of bossy today.” She shook her head.

“You’re in my workshop, and I’m in charge here.” He lightly smacked her hip. And he definitely liked it that way. “Maybe next time, I’ll bring some rope.”

“That sounds interesting, but you’re not doing anything.” She wriggled.

“Oh, I’m not?” He circled his finger around her clit. Time to give his woman something to think about. “Should I stop?”

“No. That’s definitely good.” She wriggled her hips some more.

“I thought it would be.” He laughed and caught her clit between his fingers, pinching lightly. The twitch of her ass against him drove him crazy. “If we had more time, I’d lick you and make you call my name over and over.”

She hummed and rocked down onto his fingers. “That would be so good.”

“It would be delicious, but this will be a little faster than that.” He rubbed at her clit. “Soon, I’ll sink into you and ride you fast.”

Her hips undulated. Soft moans fell from her as he trailed his fingers across that sweet nub. Her breathing grew heavier and ragged as she pushed back into him. Exciting her sent an answering raging hunger through him.

He reached down and pushed his boxers down. He wouldn’t take her with them on. This might be a quick fuck, but she was naked and he craved the feel of her skin pressed to his.

“I need you in me.” She pushed back.

“In a moment, treasure, I’ll be deep inside and feeling the clench of your muscles pulling me deeper.” He wrapped his arm around her and guided his cock to her entrance. And he’d love every torture inducing moment.

The head brushed her opening. Warm moisture coated the tip and he slowly pushed inside. She shivered and arched back. Her slick sheath tightened around him. He drew in a slow breath. Fuck, that always felt so good. Like nothing ever had before.

“Are you going to torment me until someone does walk in? Move.” She rolled her hips.

He laughed and ran his hand over her stomach. Demanding woman. He’d love giving her just what she asked for. “I promise no one will walk in on us. I’m just gathering my control. I don’t want to lose it after only a few strokes.”

“Yeah, so you say now. I’m about to lose my mind here.” She gripped his hand and guided it down between her thighs. “I need.”

He took a deep breath and slowly drew back. Her sheath clamped down as if to keep him within her. Blazing heat flashed through him as her muscles gripped him. Oh, sweet fuck! He wouldn’t last.

“Not easy, I want fast and hard.” She urged his fingers between the lips. “Give me the ride you promised me.”

Damn, how could he hold back when she said that? He’d fuck her deep and hard until he came deep inside her. But she was going over first. He settled his fingers over the nub of her clit and rubbed. She gasped and her body shook. Yes, that was what he wanted. She had to come.

He plunged back into her, his cock pushing through the slick tissue before he withdrew again. The ache built until it raged inside him. He tightened his arm, pulling her closer. Hell, he couldn’t let go yet. She wasn’t ready. He rubbed his finger over her clit, working the bud until she backed into his touch and moans fell from her lips in an almost continuous song.

The tug and pull of her inner muscles on his dick sent shocks through him. He stiffened and drove against her harder. The fierce urge clawed at him. She arched back against him. Her sheath rippled around his cock, contracting and tugging at him. She shook and cried out. Finally.

He surged into her faster, plunging as deep as he could with each stroke. A throbbing pulse zipped through him. His balls drew up and he clenched his teeth. Hot fire sizzled over him as the urge to cum pounded over his body. Have to savor this just a little while longer.

He drove into her again and again. With a groan, he let go. Heat exploded, washing over him, bathing him in blazing pleasure. He trembled even as he drove into her. The sensual delight roared through him, tingling all the way down to his toes. He tightened his arm around her, holding her close.

“That was so delicious, treasure.” He skimmed his hand up her belly. If possible, he’d try for one more time for both of them.

“It was hot as hell.” Noah’s voice came from the doorway.

Tempest tensed and yelped. “Sawyer, you jerk. You promised no one would walk in.”

Sawyer laughed. “The others didn’t walk in on us. It’s just Noah. Noah’s part of us. He’s seen you naked.”

“Not helping your case, Sawyer.” Tempest wriggled in his grip. “You said no one. I thought that meant you locked the door.”

“How about lunch, treasure? You can contemplate his punishment while we eat.” Noah held out his hand. “By the way, I can pick a lock if I need to.”

Sawyer released her. She slipped by him and grabbed her clothes, shooting a glare over her shoulder. He bit his lip. Better not laugh again. The first laugh probably hadn’t helped.

“You’re on my list, Sawyer.” She pointed at him.

“Treasure, I’ll find a way off. When we get back from lunch, I’ll give all my attention to it.” Sawyer grabbed his shirt. And he’d love working his way back into her good graces. Even when she was angry, he was still drawn to her. It grew stronger every day. Did she feel the same? If she didn’t yet, she would. He’d keep trying until she loved them.

  Chapter Twenty-One

With any luck, today there wouldn’t be a problem with the hunters. Tempest took a deep breath. Going out with an escort was a production that, most of the time, she could live without. The inconvenience and stares usually weren’t worth it.

For a meal with her men, she’d endure it. That had been the original plan. But now, she wouldn’t even be alone in a restaurant with her mates. Phoenix had mentioned they were going out to eat to the Cim, and the Cim apparently had
some meeting they needed to conduct in a public place.

Good thing she’d started dressing for the office, just to blend in a little more. Phoenix had said that it would seem less conspicuous if there were people other than the two Cim at this mysterious meeting. Because it was the Cim, she’d happily go along. Those two men had allowed her friends to visit her at the community when it wasn’t normal practice for them. That alone garnered them more than a little good will from her. Well, she’d at least enjoy the meal and discovering what this meeting was about even if she couldn’t tease and taunt her mates through the meal.

“Are you ready, treasure?” Noah stepped into the office. “We’re ready to go.”

A gray suit hugged his broad shoulders and highlighted the narrowness of his waist. Damn, Noah in a suit was an awesome sight. It emphasized his shoulders and narrow waist as well as highlighted his good looks. The only thing better would be if it all came off in a moment.

She slipped her mirror back into her bag. “Yeah, just checking my makeup. I know this is supposed to be a business lunch, so I wanted to look put together.”

“You look very put together. I love the suit by the way.” He hooked an arm around her.

She glanced down. The plum colored jacket hugged her form and accentuated the black shirt she had on underneath. Surprisingly, the color didn’t clash with her hair or make her appear washed out. “I like it, too. It’s a left-over from a time I spent as a secretary.”

“I wouldn’t mind having you as secretary.” Noah wagged his eyebrows.

“Yeah, keep it up. You’ll be lucky if I don’t start a rival company some day.” She rolled her eyes. Though some kinky office fun would be nice.

“You know you love me,” Noah said playfully as he guided her from her office.

“I do, but I’ll still tease and keep you in line.” She stepped out the door just in front of him.

Laughter rang through the hall. A blush heated her cheeks. Ah, hell! When he’d said they were ready, he’d meant actually ready and waiting. Everyone stood right outside.

“You can certainly try, treasure. And you’re beautiful with pink in your cheeks.” Noah pressed a kiss to her cheek.

“All right, how about we all go to the restaurant now?” Cim Sin stepped forward. His black hair was combed back, and a dark suit hugged his shoulders.

“Sounds good to me.” She nodded and patted her purse at her side. ID tag on her lapel, phone, money, and actual ID in her purse. She had everything she needed. “Food and a chance to learn a little more is always great.”

“What do you expect to learn?” Noah looked down at her.

“I don’t know. Maybe more about you three or more about the community I’m part of now. Phoenix didn’t tell me what the meeting was supposed to be about, so I could just learn some business tactics.” She lifted a shoulder.

“Sometimes, it’s easy to forget that you haven’t been a part of us forever.” Phoenix shook his head. “Sorry about that.”

“We are going to meet a man from Spain today. This isn’t a business meeting, though we’ll try to make it appear that way.” Cim Sin smiled before he led the way down the hall.

“Well, a Spanish accent is always thrilling.” She strolled along beside Noah toward the elevator.

“Treasure, you know the tiny thrill you get from an accent is nothing compared to what I can do to you without saying a word.” Noah leaned down and nipped her ear.

“Noah, you are a goof sometimes. Don’t try to make me think you’re jealous of an accent.” She cupped his cheek. The man knew what he could do to her.

“Not the accent. Your thrill from it. If anything is giving you a thrill, it will be me, Sawyer, or Phoenix. Or maybe all of us at the same time.” Noah pulled her tighter to him. One corner of his lips tilted up.

She rolled her eyes. Teasing man. “As if I could handle another, you three are more than enough. But I can like an accent, especially when it’s someone singing a song. Have you heard some of the Spanish love songs? They’re beautiful even if I don’t know some of the words.”

“Treasure, you can appreciate that accent all you want. Noah is teasing.” Sawyer turned and smiled back at her. “You can torture him later.”

“I’ll give it some thought.” She smiled. As if she hadn’t recognized that grin. Better to keep that bit of knowledge to herself at this point though.

They took three cars to the restaurant. When they pulled up in front, she glanced out the window. Michael’s. What kind of restaurant was Michael’s?

Everything seemed normal. She waited in the car as the guards climbed out first. They looked around and then, Sawyer opened the door. She slid out and stood beside him. No one moved in the parking lot and everything seemed calm. For now, everything was safe.

“Come on, treasure. Let’s go inside and get something to eat. They serve a great steak here.” Sawyer pressed a kiss to her lips. “And we can all see what happens today.”

Which was supposed to be what? The Cim were meeting the man, but why? No one had ever elaborated on that. She shrugged. Well, it shouldn’t be too much longer before she learned exactly what this was about.

They entered the restaurant and stopped at the host station. The man behind it smiled at their approach. Cim Sin stepped forward and talked with the man.

“Yes, your guests are waiting in the bar for you. I’ll have someone get them.” The man waved a passing server over and sent them into the bar.

“As soon as they return with your guests, I’ll have you guided to your table.” The host nodded.

Tempest glanced at Sin. A few moments later, he tensed and his hands fisted at his side. She glanced up. He stood open-mouthed, staring at nothing, and each breath came rapid and loud. What was happening to him? He looked as if he’d just been punched in the gut.

“And things just got interesting.” Sawyer chuckled. “I remember that feeling.”

“What feeling?” She leaned close. Their Cim seemed absolutely stunned. From just the few times she’d seen him, that wasn’t a normal occurrence.

“Just wait for it. You’ll learn soon.” Sawyer leaned in and pressed a kiss to her cheek.

“On my list.” She poked his arm.

“I know how to get off it.” Sawyer hugged her. “Patience.”

Yeah, all well and good for him to recommend patience. He already knew what was going on here. She nudged him. If it happened, she’d be lucky. They’d have to be pretty explicit to clue her in, because she had very little knowledge of the Cim and the gargoyle.

“If you’re ready, I’ll have you shown to your table now.” The host smiled.

Tempest glanced around. Two dark haired men had joined them. Both had light brown skin, black hair, and deep brown eyes. Gorgeous, but they hadn’t been among the men she’d met in the community. This had to be the people from Spain.

A young man stopped in front of them and guided them to a table that sat about ten in a private room. Good. They’d be able to talk without interruption, except when the food came. Sawyer pulled out the chair in the middle. She sat down. Maybe if they didn’t talk in euphemisms or some weird gargoyle shorthand, she would learn what was going on.

Sawyer eased in to the seat on her right, and Noah took the one on the left. Phoenix sat across from her. Cim Sin and Bram took the end seat the seat on the right. The younger dark haired man took the seat next to Cim Sin.

Sin took a deep breath. “All right, in spite of the fact that there was a possibility that you could be the one, I didn’t really expect this. Not this soon. When we’ve been looking for years.”

They’d been looking for years. The one. Tempest caught her breath. Their partner. Could this be the third Sawyer and the others said Cim Sin and Bram were searching for?

“He’s been looking for years, too.” The older man nodded to the younger man.

“Sorry about that. This is a shock. I really didn’t expect to find you, now. Not while we’re still dealing with these hu
nters.” Sin shook his head. “I’m Sinclair Warden, and he’s Abram Lancaster.”

“It’s great to finally meet you. I’m Matias Abaroa. This is my brother, Sebastian.” The younger man smiled but stilled as the waiter returned with their drinks. He left almost immediately.

Tempest grinned. Damn, that accent was super sexy. Their woman would be hella lucky. They were all sexy, and that accent would probably get Matias out of a lot of trouble.

“We pre-ordered so that we can get through as much as we can today. I hope that’s all right with you.” Bram glanced over at Matias.

“Food is the last thing I’m concerned with now.” Matias shook his head.

“I know exactly what you mean.” Sin nodded. “How did you know we were here and looking for someone to be our third? We’ve contacted some clans in France, England, and Italy, but we hadn’t gotten to Spain yet.”

“We have cousins in France, and they knew we were headed to Sacramento. They told us we might want to head up here to see if one of us might be a match.” Matias took a drink of his water. “I’m glad I took his advice, because I was ready to move on up the coast.”

“What were you doing here? Did you come to California for work or play?” Bram leaned forward.

“Actually, we’re touring our family’s hotels making sure the management is running them right. There was an issue. Although, that would probably be me now.” Sebastian smiled.

“I’m not sure Matias coming right in is a good idea. Much as I want it. These hunters are serious, and we have no idea if they’re connected to anyone else. We don’t want to lead them to any other group. It’s why one of us hadn’t gone to Europe to begin looking around for our match.” Bram reached over and touched Matias’ arm.

“I won’t back away from this simply because of the dangers. Do you think there aren’t hunter groups all over the world? They’re there. Even though most of the time, they hurt humans more than us.” Matias lifted a shoulder. “I’ve waited too long for this to run away because of some trouble. I’ll be part of helping to stop these people.”
