My Best Friend's Dad

by Cassandra Dee

“I hope you like anchovies,” Jenny chirps, carrying the square cardboard box over.

“Don’t worry, I love them,” I smile in return. “I’ll get some plates.” I walk into the kitchen and grab two plates out of the cabinet. Maybe I should I take another. It’s late and Chris isn’t home yet, but I’m sure he’ll be starving when he comes in. After all, it's been a long day for him. The least I can do to thank him is make sure he has a plate of hot, gooey pizza waiting for him when he comes in. Plus, I want him to know that I appreciate his hospitality.

Jenny places a huge slice from the delicious pizza onto her plate. It’s true, New York really does have the biggest slices of this wonderful food. She watches as I place a slice the same size onto my plate, then one on the spare plate I grabbed for Chris. I try my best to avoid eye contact.

“Who’s that one for?” she inquires.

“Your dad.” I try not to blush. “I figured he would be hungry too.”

“That’s so sweet.” She catches the cheese dripping from the pizza and twirls it around her finger. She shoves the glob of melted cheese into her mouth. “But he probably ate already. He’s out right now,” she says with a mouth full of cheese.

“Out?” I question. “I thought he was still at the office.”

“Nope.” She bites into the slice. “He’s on a date with his girlfriend,” she says nonchalantly with a mouth full of pizza.

My heart stutters, even as I try to keep my expression smooth. “Girlfriend? I didn’t realize he was seeing someone.” I try to hide my surprise and shock, but there’s a warmth burning on my cheeks and chest. Chris is on a date with another woman right now. Not only is he Jenny’s dad, he’s also in a committed relationship. Oh god. My stomach plummets as thoughts swirl through my head. Is he going to kiss his so-called date? Make love to her? Tell her she’s special? I can’t bear the thought of Chris with another woman. My head is spinning, and my heart literally hurts. I take a bite of my anchovy pizza and try not to reveal my pain.

“Yeah,” replies Jenny casually, not suspecting a thing. She takes another huge bite of pizza. “They’ve been seeing each other for the past year. Adele’s a total bitch. She has these huge fake tits that don’t match the rest of her body. I don’t know what my dad sees in her because she’s just using him for his money.”

If this woman is as horrible as Jenny says, then why is Chris dating her? He must really love her if he’s been with her for a year now. What if he brings her home tonight? What if he wants to marry her? I can’t stomach the thought and my guts churn with nausea. Oh my God. Maybe I should go to bed early, so I can avoid an unpleasant scene.

“How serious are your dad and his girlfriend?” I ask, trying not to pry too much. Jenny is nonchalant.

“They’re not that serious. In fact, I don’t think they’re even really a couple. This sounds really bad, but I think my dad just uses her for sex. I can tell he doesn’t love her,” Jenny says matter of factly while chewing loudly. My heart settles. Maybe there’s still a chance for me? But come on, who am I kidding? Even if they break up, a relationship between us would still be impossible. He’s Jenny’s dad for crying out loud. It wouldn’t be right.

“Can I ask you something?” Jenny interrupts. Uh oh. Now she’s the one avoiding eye contact now.

“Sure,” I reply like nothing’s wrong. Oh no. Have I given myself away already? Has Jenny already sensed my interest in her dad?

Jenny swallows loudly before giving me the eye.

“Have you ever had sex before?” she sounds a bit nervous.

  Relief washes over my frame.

“Oui,” I say with a smile. “A few times with my ex-boyfriend back home. His name’s Didier. He was two grades ahead of me.”

Jenny nods, but I can tell she wants to ask more.

“I’ll bet French guys are a lot hotter than American ones. Was it good?”

I ponder for a moment before answering.

“Yes,” is my soft reply. “Sex is often good when it’s with someone you love, and Didier loved me very much.”

“Why did you break up with him then?” Jenny asks quizzically, tilting her head to the side.

I sigh. “Didier went away to college in a big city far away from our small village, and the distance was too much for the both of us. We both decided it was best to end things. C'est la vie.”

  Jenny looks puzzled.

“But do you ever miss him?” she asks. I think for a bit before answering. For a while, I’d thought I would never get over Didier. I thought I would never love again; it had been that bad. But now, in retrospect, I know it was just puppy love even if it seemed super-serious at the time. I smile warmly.

“Sometimes, but I don’t love him anymore. I know there’s someone else out there for me that I’m meant to be with.” Suddenly, the front door opens and then clicks closed. My heart races instantly. It must be Chris. I wipe away the pizza crumbs from my mouth and try to keep calm as I listen to his footsteps approach.

“Jenny!” he calls out from the foyer. “I’m home.” His deep baritone voice sends chills down my spine.

“We’re in here, Dad!” Jenny replies. He walks into the dining room dressed in an expensive, fitted suit. It hugs his body just right, and he looks like he belongs on the red carpet at an awards show. I bite my lip and try not to think any naughty thoughts as I admire his body in the suit. How am I supposed to resist this handsome, imposing man who makes me shiver with heat?

“Hey, hun,” he growls as he hugs Jenny. Then he turns to me. “How was your first day at Bradford, Marie?”

  I try not to blush.

“It was good, thank you. Everyone is nice there, and I’m really enjoying my stay in America so far,” I reply. Butterflies flutter in my stomach as I stare into his eyes. He can probably hear my heart pounding through my chest.

“That’s great. I’m happy to hear you had a good day.” He flashes a smile that shows off sparkling white teeth, and I practically melt in my seat. Americans always seem to have perfect smiles.

“How was your date, Dad?” Jenny chirps. My stomach goes from feeling like it’s full of butterflies to feeling like it’s full of sludge at the mention of Chris’s date.

“I ended things between Adele and me.”

I stare at him, my mouth open, before catching myself. Yes! I silently rejoice on the inside. I shouldn’t have this thought, but at the same time, relief crashes over my frame. Chris is now free for me to have all to myself.

“Good. She was bitch,” Jenny comments emphatically.

Chris rolls his eyes in commiseration.

“Yeah, she was. She’s out of our lives for good now.” While saying that, he glances at me, almost as if he’s reassuring me that everything’s okay.

“Good riddance,” his daughter says again, grabbing another huge slice of pizza. Chris locks eyes with me, and for a second, it feels like Jenny isn’t even in the room anymore. I shyly look away as I feel myself begin to blush. But suddenly, Jenny groans as she buckles over in her seat.

“Are you okay?” I ask, rushing over. She doesn’t look well.

“I don’t think so.” Her face turns green. “All of a sudden, I don’t feel good. Bleghhhh.” She holds her belly as she doubles over.

“Hon, are you okay?” Chris rushes over to his daughter, a concerned look on his face.

“I think it might be the anchovies,” she groans. “How do you feel, Marie?” But there’s no time for me to answer because suddenly Jenny goes green and she covers her mouth as she heaves. The sound is horrific, and her face goes from green to red, and then stark white.

“Unnnh,” she retches dryly, trying to hold it all in.

“Mon dieu!” I exclaim, leaping to my feet. “Here, let me help you lie down.”

“That would be good,” Jenny moans again. “I’m going to go to bed early tonight. Ugh, I feel sick.”

“I’ll walk you to your room too,” Chris says firmly as he helps his daughter up. Oh
god, this is such a sudden turn of events. Jenny is going to sleep early tonight, so that means Chris and I will be all alone. Maybe I can use this time to get to know him a little better because I want to know him as more than just Jenny’s dad. I know it’s crazy, but I feel a connection with him. It feels like something is drawing me toward this charismatic man, and it’s almost impossible to resist this gravitational pull.

Then again, I don’t want to seem overeager. After we help Jenny to her room, I tiptoe quietly back to the living room as Chris makes sure his daughter is okay. My heart pounding like a drum, I open The Great Gatsby again and try to get some work done. I have to answer all of the questions in the packet my English teacher gave to me by tomorrow. Oh no. The words don’t make any sense to me, and with Jenny off to bed already, I don’t know how I’m going to answer these questions all by myself.

“Are you okay?” a deep voice sounds.

I look up from The Great Gatsby to see Chris standing over my shoulder. The concern in his voice makes my heart beat faster. He’s such a manly man. The kind of guy who can make love to you passionately and protect you from harm. His sexiness has me at a loss for words, and I swallow hard as I try to find something to say.

“I’m okay.” The truth is, I’m not okay. I’m having trouble understanding The Great Gatsby, and I’m having trouble fighting my desire to kiss Chris’s perfectly sculpted lips as well.

To my chagrin, it’s like he knows. Those blue eyes gleam as he sits in the chair next to me, and the scent of his cologne intoxicates me. I close my eyes as I breathe in his lovely scent. “If you need anything, Marie,” he growls, “don’t hesitate to let me know. I’m here to help you in any way I can.” His piercing sapphire eyes make every part of my body come alive. This man is so incredibly irresistible. My heart is like putty in his hands, and I almost come undone right in front of him, but I manage to keep my composure against all odds.

“I have to finish reading this chapter and answer the rest of these questions by tomorrow,” my voice trembles a bit as I stare back into his eyes. “The only problem is I’m stuck on chapter two, about the valley of ashes. This one passage doesn’t make any sense to me. Sometimes I have trouble reading English,” I admit in a small voice.

His bright, perfect smile flashes as he chuckles. His warm laugh puts me at ease and brings a smile to my face as well.

“Here, let me see.” I hand him the novel that has been plaguing me for hours. His hand brushes up against mine, sending chills down my spine again as electricity rockets through my frame. “Sometimes it’s hard for even us Americans to understand the great American novels,” he says dryly.

I stare at his big, strong hands as they wrap around the book. I’d give anything to be that novel right now. To be held by him would be a dream. On the outside, he has an intense look about him, almost like a bad boy, but on the inside, he’s sweet and caring.

“In this passage, Fitzgerald is comparing everything in the valley of ashes to ash. He’s saying that it is a dry, lifeless place, which is ironic because it lies between West Egg and New York City, two lively and beautiful places. It is the ugly that lives within mankind underneath the beauty,” he says slowly, his eyes scanning the page.

His analysis is so thorough that I’m actually lost. But I’m entranced by his intelligence and decide to go with it.

“Do you think everything beautiful has ugliness secretly lying beneath it?” I ask. He looks up, those blue eyes fathomless pools of midnight.

“Not everything, sweetheart. I believe some things are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside.” I feel my cheeks turning red. I try not to stare back into his eyes, but it’s like they have me trapped. The gravitational pull between us intensifies. The mood feels right, and the vibes are all there, but there’s only one problem. He’s Jenny’s dad. Oh god. How can I be falling for my host father? Never in a million years did I think I’d be in a taboo situation like this. He has me floating on Cloud Nine, but I have to get real.

“I think you’re right.” I clear my throat as I finally break away from his gorgeous gaze. “That answers number fifteen,” I say with fake cheer while writing down Chris’s words. My heart races once again, and my cheeks blush. I hope he doesn’t notice that I’m attracted to him. I don’t want him to think I’m just some silly school girl with a crush.

But the fire in the pit of my belly burns even brighter as the gorgeous billionaire looks at me. I can feel his stare as my pen scribbles nonsense, and our eyes meet as I slowly look up at him. The butterflies are back in my stomach, fluttering like madmen. Silence fills the room, and the tension between us is unbearable. But then, I glance down at his lap and notice a bulge in his pants. Mon Dieu! Can it be that Chris is attracted to me too? I have to find out.

Slowly, I lean in, kind of like in a movie. It feels like I’m being pulled toward him like a puppet on a string. My lips part slightly, and this moment feels so right, like it’s supposed to happen. But before our lips can touch, he backs away.

“It’s late. I’m going to bed,” he says as he jumps up from his seat abruptly. Blood rushes to my face, turning it an embarrassing shade of tomato. Oh God, had I misread the signs? I’d thought for sure Chris was into me. I can’t believe I tried to kiss him. I feel completely humiliated. What was I thinking?

I grab his arm as he walks away. “Chris, I’m sorry! I shouldn’t have—”

But then everything turns upside down because with a growl, the alpha has me in his arms, kissing me passionately. Immediately, electricity sizzles between us, and I’m pressed against his frame from breast to pelvis. His soft lips make my head spin and my pussy moisten. I don’t want this moment to end. I want to stay right here in his arms forever.

He pulls away from me, leaving me in a state of confusion. “I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have done that,” he growls, although those blue eyes glint dangerously. My knees feel weak, and the world is spinning a bit. I grab his arms for balance.

“We both want the same thing, Chris,” I say throatily. “I want it too. You didn’t do anything wrong.” The tension between us is so thick, you could cut it with a knife. I can see in his eyes that he’s desperately trying to resist. So I pull him in closer to me and gently kiss his lips. The electricity between us intensifies even more, and I swoon in his arms as his touch sends tingles throughout my body.

Oh god. I need more than just a kiss. I need to feel him inside me in the best of ways. And happily, the bulge in his pants presses against my tummy, making it evident that this is what he wants too. I glance down the hall to make sure Jenny’s bedroom door is still shut. My new friend would probably scream with horror if she knew what we’re about to do.

But then, all thought flies out of my head as Chris slides his hand up my skirt and between my legs. I gasp as his thick finger rubs gently against my wetness, right where my panties are soaked. I bite my lip to keep from moaning. The sensation of his touch sends chills throughout my body.

“You like that, sweet girl?” he rasps into my ear, finding my nub. My clit jolts and twitches, and I let out a rapturous moan. “Oh, I see you do,” he murmurs wickedly.

He kisses my neck next, sucking hard. What if he gives me a hickey? How will I explain to Jenny the sudden bruise on my neck that happened overnight? But at the same time, it fills me with delight to be marked by this man, and I caress his thick, hard cock while tilting my head back to give him better access. His dick grows in my small palm and I gasp slightly. It’s bigger than I’d expected, and now I’m a little nervous. I’ve never had a shaft this huge inside of me before. Hopefully, I can handle it, and I get even wetter in anticipation. He slides his other hand up my skirt and squeezes my ass, kissing me softly as my juices drip onto his hand.

“You’re pussy is fucking drenched,” he whispers in my ear. My body quivers as he slides a finger inside my cunt. I try to fight the urge to moan, but he’s making it really hard. Every touch sends my body into a state of bliss. “I want
to taste you. Every single inch. Get naked, sweetheart, because it’s time for this to happen.”

Oh God, am I ready? But Chris is already in motion. He’s stripping off his suit, and with hungry eyes, I watch as inch after inch of hard, bronze flesh is revealed. I want it so bad, and suddenly, there’s no reason not to do this.

So biting my lip, I drop my skirt and blouse to the ground, feeling a bit shy. Chris is looking at me like I’m a Bastille Day treat topped with an éclair and a chocolate bon-bon. His blue eyes savor my frame, stopping to rest on my swollen pussy.

“You’re beautiful, sweetheart,” he rasps, his erection like a huge club pointing directly at me. “Absolutely gorgeous.”

“Merci,” I mewl, trying to keep my composure as he stalks towards me like a tiger stalking its prey. But this man is about finesse. He knows how to make a woman comfortable, and instead of devouring me in one bite, he drops down to his knees and nibbles my inner thigh. A moan slips from my lips as he kisses closer to my pussy. I cover my mouth to keep quiet. I can’t wake Jenny. She’d flip if she saw her dad crouched in front of my steaming pussy.

But Chris is relentless. Slowly, he lies on his back and gestures for me to sit on his face. What?

  “Non!” I gasp. “C’est impossible!”

He merely smiles at me, gesturing again.

“Believe it, sweetheart,” he rasps. “I want to taste those creamy juices, and the best way is for you to sit right on my face. Come on, sweetheart, don’t be shy.”

And with trembling legs, I obey. Oh God, this is so dirty. I’ve never done anything like this before. With my ex, it was awkward fumbling and sloppy puppy dog kisses in the dark. Often, the sex was over before it even really began, leaving me panting and unfulfilled.

But with this man, everything’s different. He wants to savor a woman, and that means every inch of my sweet, dripping folds.

“Come closer, sweetheart,” he rasps again, beckoning to me. “Come let me taste that beautiful cunt.”

And with a sigh, I do it. I strip off my soaking panties and slowly lower myself until I’m straddling his head. Merde! This is so wrong! Imagine if Jenny came out now and saw me and her dad like this. I’m literally poised above his face with my sweet slit mere centimeters from his mouth.
