Finding Patience
Page 13
Groaning, I look back at Patience who’s pushing her fingers into her bikini bottoms with a smirk on her face. My eyes watch her fingers trace over her clit over and over again. She’s moaning a little louder while she moves her hips to fuck her fingers.
“It feels so good. Don’t you want to help me?” She begs.
“Prez, I’m a little busy right now,” I bark into the phone.
I should have known he wouldn’t have taken that as a response.
“The only reason why I ain’t drivin’ over to that pop star’s house right now and draggin’ your ass out, is because you need to get your ass back here.”
I groan out in frustration. “What’s the fire?”
“The fire is the fact that we have a big arms deal about to go down and my lead driver ain’t around because he’s playin’ house.”
“Fuck!” I shout into the phone. “I’m brining my wife, though. You need to make sure everyone’s on their best fuckin’ behavior.”
“Let me roll out the red carpet. Get here in ten minutes,” he hangs up on me.
Looking back at Patience who’s got a big blush on her face, she smiles at me to reassure me she knows what is about to come next.
“You should go, Brett. We’re going to be fine here. Plus, it’s almost Alexa’s bed time.”
My hand drags over my face and that’s when I hear her stomach growl. “Shit, baby. I’m so fuckin’ sorry that I haven’t fed you yet. You must be hungry!”
She stands up from the couch and strolls over to me with a smile on her face. “It’s fine. Let me get dressed and I will go with you if you want.”
After dropping a kiss on my lips, she calls out to Alexa. “Alexa, Brett and I need to run out to do an errand. You good with staying here?”
“But I want to go with daddy!” She cries.
My heart about breaks open when she calls me daddy. For the past five years, I have missed out on her calling me that and to hear her say that, it about slays me.
I’m gonna have to turn in my bike to get a station wagon or some bull shit. Actually, fuck that. I’m a biker and make pretty decent money. I can get a cool car to transport my girls in style.
Looking around the room, I realize that the only place I want Patience and Alexa to be is only with me. The thought of leaving either of them alone without me knowing what’s going on with my deadbeat parents, kills me.
“She can come too,” I over rule the mother of my child.
Patience turns to look at me with a glare that promises me that I haven’t heard the last about this. “Is this play suitable for kids?” She asks me with her eyes tightening.
Well, no. You’re about to bring a five year old girl into a biker clubhouse where we have strippers and a whole bunch of crazy shit going on. But, I’m a selfish man who wants his family there.
“Yeah.”
I’ll see me in hell for this.
Checking my phone for the emails regarding my new landscaping job, I pace the living room. I’m too anxious to sit down and relax right now. I’m about to bring my wife and daughter into my clubhouse where they have no idea what I do for the club.
Maybe I should have been honest with her regarding what I do. Fuck! I have no idea what the fuck I’m supposed to be doing right now.
Instead of trying to nut up and tell Patience about Lucifer’s Lair MC, I answer emails to the owners of the houses that are wanting landscaped.
I make decent money between the club and my business. Of course, I don’t hide my colors from the people that hire me, but I also don’t flaunt it. I have a crew of people that handle all the messy work but I love going to the houses and seeing what I can do. It’s like… being reborn or some spiritual bull shit you hippies pedal.
It’s not long before I hear the pounding footsteps of Patience and the squeals of a laughing Alexa strolling towards me.
There’s still so much that we have to talk about but right now, I can’t focus on any of that. I need to find out how my father managed to break into her house and what he’s going to do. The man doesn’t do something for nothing and he’s got something planned.
Plus, there’s the whole bull shit about my mother telling my pregnant wife that I was dead in action.
Rubbing my hand down my face, I take a deep breath. I can’t get worked up about something that I can’t fix at this moment.
Part of me wants to plant a bomb in their house or trailer… wherever the fuck they are living. Have it blow up on them for them to feel an ounce of the hurt I felt when I found out they told Patience I was dead.
Just an ounce.
It would never be enough.
Unfortunately, they don’t love something enough for me to take it away from them. Unless you count money.
Those bastards.
In walks Patience and she’s looking fucking amazing in a halter dress and strapping sandals that show off her amazing legs. I about swallow my tongue. Her long hair is brushed and parted on the side with a gold looking flower. She’s got makeup on but not as much as she had on last night. The difference is the natural glow that’s on her face now.
“I’m ready!” She sings out with her purse in her hand and Alexa’s hand in the other one.
“You wearin’ that?” I gesture to her outfit.
Patience looks down and then back up at me like I’m crazy. “What’s wrong with what I’m wearing? It’s in style.”
The chuckle that I tried to fight came up anyways. “You think a bunch of bikers gonna give a shit if you’re wearin’ somethin’ in style?”
She glares at me. “You need to watch the language when we’re around Alexa. It’s bad enough that she’s traveling with me all over the world, but she doesn’t need to pick up bad language too!”
Rolling my eyes, I gesture for the door. “You ready, then?” I ask Alexa.
Alexa’s smile is huge and it makes my nerves fade away a little more. “Yes, daddy.”
Daddy.
“Alexa, you want to pick the car we take?” Patience asks her.
I feel like a piece of shit father because I’m fawning over my wife and not even looking at Alexa. She’s wearing the exact same thing as Patience is but instead of platforms, she’s wearing sandals. They both look fucking perfect.
“How many cars do you have?” I ask stupidly.
“We have tons. Mommy likes the old cars. She says they are class’c.”
“Lead the way,” I inform her.
I follow the little girl into what looks like a garage but is the size of my whole clubhouse- it’s that big. There’s wall to wall cars in there from all different years, styles and everything in between.
My mouth drops open as I take it all in. “Are you fuckin’ kiddin’ me?” I whistle.
PATIENCE
“Watch your mouth,” I tsk while I walk behind him to look at all my babies. “These are my other babies.”
I point to the Thunderbird about to tell him what year it is and what make but he cuts me off before I could even open my mouth.
“’68 Thunderbird fully loaded!”
Smiling, I lean down to pick up Alexa. “Brett likes our cars, baby.”
She’s smiling from ear to ear. “His name is daddy, mommy.”
It’s a strange feeling when everything begins to work out how it’s supposed to work out. I can’t even begin to describe how happy I am that Alexa has taken so quickly to Brett. The one thing that I’m worried about is the fact that we haven’t had the talk yet.
We haven’t talked about where we’re going from here. If we still have a future or anything.
To be honest, I’m scared shitless to even ask.
“Yeah, mommy! His name is daddy!” Brett calls out while walking around the fifteen cars that I have in the garage.
We both giggle. “You going to let him pick, or do you still want to pick?” I ask Alexa.
She scrunches up her cute little face like she’s thinking about it. “Daddy, which car do you like the greatest?”
I don’t bother correcting her on her grammar because she’s too cute right now. She’s trying so hard to be a grown up.
Brett’s too busy walking through the Ferrari, Jaguar, Corvette, BMW to even know that Alexa asked him a question. He circles back to the Thunderbird with a huge smile on his face.
“If I didn’t love you already, I definitely would now for your taste in cars!”
Inside, I’m swooning! He just that he loves me! I’m such a girl.
“Daddy! Pick one!”
He points towards the Thunderbird with a grin that would melt any woman’s panties. “This one. Definitely this one!”
“Is that cool with you?” I ask our daughter.
She shrugs, wiggles and then runs over to him with her arms wide open. “Daddy! That’s my favorite car, too.”
Walking over to the case that has all my keys in it, I pull out the one for the Thunderbird. Putting the keyring through my finger, I spin it as I walk over to him. “Alexa, don’t forget to grab your seat!”
Brett meets me half way with puppy dog eyes and a cute pucker of lips. “Please, can I drive? Please!”
Giggling, I hand him over the keys. “Remember that our daughter is in the back seat! Don’t do anything crazy.”
Skin and Andre are strolling out of my house with their keys in their hands. “Directions, P. You got them?” Andre asks.
“They need the directions to the clubhouse, Brett.”
My husband looks down and then back up at me with questioning eyes. “Why are they comin’ too?”
“We go where she goes. We don’t go, she don’t go,” Skin answers.
Brett slips the keys back into my hand and points towards the car. “Go get in and get our girl settled. I’ll be right there, baby.”
He drops a kiss on my forehead before walking away from me.
I shake my head and focus on the task of getting Alexa into her car seat and me into my seat. I flex my feet in my shoes trying to get circulation into them.
Am I too over dressed to go to a clubhouse? What if I’m not dressed enough? Shit. Should I have worn something skanky? Like a mini skirt or some shit.
I’m in the process of having a minor panic attack as Alexa tells me all about her plans for this new doll she thinks she’s getting for her birthday next month. Great! I don’t know what the hell I’m supposed to do.
At all.
Do I introduce myself to his brothers as my alias or as Patience Monroe? What the fuck am I getting myself into? I have no idea.
It’s not long before Brett takes the front seat of the car and starts it. The engine purrs like a kitten as he turns the key. “You ready?”
I give him a half smile even though I don’t feel ready at all. I’m nervous beyond belief.
“What happened?” I ask.
He shrugs. “We handled it and they are gonna follow us there but stay outside the compound for security purposes.”
Shaking my head, I look out the window.
Men.
The drive to the clubhouse takes about an hour but Brett’s happy that I had his bike delivered to my house from my parents’. I have an idea how important his bike is to him and I didn’t want him to miss it.
“Does your bike have a name?” I ask him.
He chuckles. “What makes you think she has a name?”
“Ohhh! It’s a she,” I taunt.
Brett places his hand on my thigh and squeezes a little. “Yeah, her name is Sheila.”
“Sheila?” I giggle. “Why Sheila?”
“The question you need to be asking is why not Sheila? She’s a beautiful woman who purrs like a lioness on a hot day.”
I shake my head. “Are you kidding?”
He shakes his head back at me. “Baby, don’t be talkin’ sh-crap about Sheila.”
The moment we turn into the clubhouse parking lot, I get nervous as fuck. What if they don’t like me at all? Do they even know about me?
There’s women dancing around in a circle outside of the clubhouse scantily dressed with bottles of beer in their hands. My eyes widen as I watch them dance like idiots.
“Is this place okay for kids?” I whisper over to him nervously. I don’t want to insult him but I have every right to know if this place is safe for my daughter.
He nods his head as he parks my car. About twenty different men circle my car and they are all wearing leather. Some are just wearing the vest and others have a shirt on underneath it with jeans. I will tell you that these men are fucking hot.
“Stay in the car for a second. Let me open the door for you,” he informs me before getting out of the car.
“Wheeww! Whose cage is this?” A hot older man whistles from behind some shorter guys. “This can’t be your cage, Rabies.”
Rabies?
My door is opened and I see my husband standing on the other side with his hand extended out for me. I place my hand in his and step out of my car.
I’m used to people stopping and looking at me. I’m used to people acting like idiots when they figure out who I am. Truthfully, I’m used to all of that. It’s part of the job.
What I’m not used to is all these leather cladded people staring at me like I don’t belong. I don’t need them to stare at me like I don’t belong, because I already know that.
I knew from the beginning that I didn’t belong around here but I came anyways. Why? Because I need to know what Brett’s life was like when we weren’t together.
“Guys, this is my wife, Patience,” Brett announces to the crowd.
I smile and pull on the hem of my dress to make it slide down a little more.
That was when I hear the scream of a bunch of girls running over to me with their hair flying behind them. “Your Patience? Holy shit!” A redhead yells and jumps up and down a little in front of me like a fan girl.
Smiling, I hold my hand out to her and she runs into my arms instead. “Hi! Ohmigod. I have been in love with you since Would You Do It All Again came out.”
I hug her back and look over her shoulder to Brett who’s eyes are tightening around the corners. “Well, I’m happy to meet a fan.”
“I’m not just a fan. I’m your biggest fan!” She squeals.
“Brit! Get off my wife!” Brett calls out.
She lets me go and glares at him. “Don’t give me your bullshit, Rabies. Why didn’t you tell us you were married?”
I try not to smile at her calling him that ridiculous nickname but I do it anyways. “Yeah, why didn’t you tell them you were married?” I ask with my eyebrow raised.
He glares at me. “I’m gonna spank that heart shaped ass of yours beat red later,” he announces.
I would be lying if I told you that I wasn’t turned on at his statement. But that would be a fucking lie.
I’m drenched.
Brett turns on his heels and opens the backseat door where Alexa hops out with a Miss America wave and big smile. The little flirt!
“Hi, boys,” she calls out and walks over to each of them with her hand out for them to shake it. She’s got her wrist bent with her hand facing down for them to kiss it.
I shit you not, all the guys kiss her hand.
“I’m Alexa, who are you?”
She meets Slice, Flip, The Bear, Trip, Bic, Half Nut, Squirrelly, Two Cents, Half Brain and a bunch of random guys that are already bending to her needs.
“Nice to meet you,” she purrs. “This is my mommy, she’s famous!”
My face turns beat red. Fuck my life. Leave it for my daughter to let the cat out of the bag.
She walks over to Brett and places her hand on his hand. “This is my daddy. He’s super cool! Who wants to play with my dolls with me?”
RABIES
My hand hasn’t left Patience’s hand the whole time I give her the tour of the clubhouse. Of course, the girls are breathing all over her trying to get her to tell them everything about me. How we met and all that shit.
I shake my head at one of the flies who tries to
approach me but she doesn’t get the hint. “Hey, Rabies,” Deep Throat says with a smile.
We started calling the bottle blonde skank Deep Throat because that’s her major talent. The chick can swallow a dick whole and still want more. Plus, she’s down to run a train. Can you see why I don’t want her talking to me in front of Patience?
“Deep Throat, not now,” I tsk and tilt my head to the side hoping she will get the hint.
She shakes her head. “I was hoping you would want me to come over later…”
“Excuse me, do you not see me standing here?” Patience barks out.
Deep Throat jerks her head back and stares at my wife. “Who the fuck are you?”
My wife giggles but it’s not the carefree giggle that I have come to love. No, it’s the ruthless giggle that I know means she’s pissed off about something. I widen my eyes at Deep Throat hoping she would take a hint but the dumb skank doesn’t.
“I’m his wife.”
“That’s funny. Rabies never said he had a wife before. You might want to work on that.”
“Leave!” I bark out as Alexa comes around the corner with Trip trailing behind her like a puppy.
I knew she would get the guys to do whatever she wanted. It was only a matter of time.
“Daaaaddddyyyyy!” She squeals.
Turning back to Deep Throat I jerk my head to the left to remind her that I’m waiting for her to get the fuck out of here. “Go find another brother to entertain.”
Before she leaves, her eyes narrow on Patience’s beautiful face. “If I were you I would watch my man. He’s not the type to be held down.”
“Bitch!” I yell at her. “I’m not gonna tell you again to get the fuck away from us. Don’t come near my wife or my daughter.”
Deep Throat’s eyes narrow now on Alexa’s innocent face who’s watching us like a hawk. She’s anxiously trying to figure out what’s happening and I hate it.
“You have a daughter?”
Alexa glares at her and points her finger to the left. “Yep! He does.”
Trip, Patience and I all chuckle at this little girl’s attitude.
Deep Throat takes the hint but it’s the look that’s on Patience’s face that floors me. She looks pissed as fuck.
