Taste for Alphas: Paranormal Fantasy Shifter Romance

She didn’t hesitate. She spread her legs wider and wiggled closer to the edge. Then she placed the head of his cock in her entrance. “Oh, god.”
Sav grabbed her by the waist and pulled her all the way to him until he was fully seated in her. She felt amazing, his mate. He knew she loved having him in her as much as he loved being there.
He rocked in and out of her, dragging his length through her slick folds and making her scream the faster he went. He couldn’t stop himself. She moaned louder, scratching and scraping her nails on his shoulders and arms.
“How can you feel even better now?” she asked breathlessly, her voice filled with confusion and wonder.
“We’re mates. It will always be better.” He continued stroking deeper and deeper, faster and faster. She arched her back and pressed her pussy closer to his pelvis. He held back from giving her all, unsure if she could take it so quickly after all the sex upstairs. She could be sore.
“Savage…” she whimpered on a shallow breath.
“Tell me. Do you like it?” He continued gliding his cock through her pussy folds, thrusting deep and pulling back slowly.
“Yesss,” she hissed. “Harder.”
He thrust harder, rocking his hips to give her all of him. Every. Fucking. Inch. No more holding back, and she gasped, her eyes wide.
Another harsh thrust until he was balls deep and her pussy firmly tightened around his dick like a slick wet tongue. She quivered, her body shaking as she climaxed, her sex clenching hard. She gave a sharp cry, her nails digging into his arms.
His body followed right behind, loving the snug feel of her tightness. She mesmerized him with the look of pleasure on her face as she rode her orgasm. That fucking look would live in his heart until he died.
He’d given her that look and he was going to make it his life’s mission to keep that look on her face for the rest of her life.
“Tell me you’re mine,” he growled, driving into her like a fucking maniac. “Tell me. I want to hear you say it.”
She stared at him with a soft grin and nodded. “Nobody else’s.”
“Tell me to fill you with my cum. You want my babies in your womb, don’t you?”
She groaned and licked her lips. “Fill me. I want you. I want it.”
He pumped into her in a frenzy of shallow thrusts until he stiffened. Her pussy gripped and sucked his cock in a sexy mind-blowing way that sent him over the edge. He growled loud enough to be heard all over the mountain.
He shot his cum deeply inside her, filling her once again with his seed. He’d marked her on the outside with his bite and now she was once again full of his cum. She’d always be his.
Chapter Eleven
Zuri woke with a start. She stretched in bed and grinned when every single part of her body, especially her privates, felt like she’d overused it. Then reality sunk in. She’d had sex with a shifter. A giant-fucking-bear shifter and he’d bitten her. And it hurt like a motherfucker. She shot up in bed, wincing at the pull of muscles she’d mistreated the previous night.
Light filtered through the shades, but she was alone in the bedroom. She had little time to check out the place and now seemed like as good a time as any. The room was sparsely furnished. A bed and two night tables, a dresser, and a chair.
There were no photos or personals. If she didn’t know better, she’d think she was in a hotel room. She slid out of bed and went back to the closet she’d gotten the T-shirt from the night before. This time, she went to the enclosed bathroom and found an extra set of toothbrush and paste and a note.
Make yourself at home. I went to pick up some food.
S
She grinned like she’d lost her damn mind and glanced at herself in the mirror. Her pale skin was covered in red beard burns. She didn’t worry about what anyone would think if they saw her. It was getting cold anyway. She could wear a turtleneck and avoid all those questions.
With a smile the size of Texas, she jumped into the shower. This was unlike her. Zuri didn’t make drastic decisions when it came to…anything! Yet here she was, in a shifter’s home, letting him do all kinds of dirty, dirty things to her. Oh god, so dirty. And wondering about their relationship.
The normal Zuri would tell her there’s no relationship and to get the hell out of there. But the old Zuri, the one who used to be carefree and take risks told her to give the bear a chance.
He gave her enough orgasms, she had to at least listen to the man. Plus, he was a shifter. They weren’t cheaters or liars and they wanted a serious relationship, right? This might be a good move.
After her shower, she went downstairs and found fresh coffee and another note.
Figured you could use this. Don’t get dressed. It’ll take precious seconds to get you naked again. Seconds I could be using to make you come.
S
Her pussy clenched at his raw language. She made herself a cup of coffee and then thought of her cell phone. Her bag was on the kitchen table. Inside, her phone was buzzing on the last two percent of battery.
It was dying, but she saw she had enough missed calls to scare her into an early grave. She dialed her sister Sage, knowing that her mother and Isaline would be with her.
“Zuri!” Sage screamed in her ear, making her wince.
“Yes, it’s me.”
“Oh my god. We were so worried. Well, me and Isaline were worried. Mom was excited. She thinks you were being ravished by a big bear shifter all night.”
God. How could she even tell them her mother was right?
“Don’t worry. I’m fine.”
There was a shuffling noise and Isaline came on the line. “So, what happened? What did you eat?”
“Isaline!”
“She ate sausage,” Mirabel yelled in the background. “Lots of bear-y yummy sausage, I bet.”
Zuri’s cheeks heated like her mother had been in the room with them. “Listen, don’t worry about me. I’ll be home later, I promise—”
The sound of the front door opening stopped her mid-sentence. She saw a woman walking in. Her family was still talking, but she was no longer listening.
“What are you still doing here?” the woman asked.
Zuri remembered her. She’d been the one surrounded by men the night before. “Who are you?”
The woman rolled her eyes and continued walking. Her presence made Zuri uncomfortable. She was sure this wasn’t a good thing. “Greer. I’m Savage’s mate.” She said the words slowly, then smiled. “You know, his woman. Soon to be his wife.”
Zuri’s heart thudded hard in her chest. “I think you’re confused.”
Greer gave an evil grin. “No, human. You’re the one that’s confused. Sav will fuck you and others, but at the end of the day, he’s coming home to me. Why? Simple. I’m like him. I get him. You’re weak. You’re never going to understand his appetites. He fucks like a god, so he needs women. That’s okay. I allow him to do that, but at the same time, he always comes back to me. Always.”
Zuri’s throat dried. Could she have been wrong about Sav? She didn’t really know him. She’d never met him at all and Full Moon Bay wasn’t that tiny of a town.
“What do you want?” Zuri asked, folding her arms over her chest protectively. She felt awkward now. Barely dressed in front of a woman who claimed Zuri was nothing but a damn one-night stand.
Greer raised a brow. “Nothing. I came to drop off your car. Sav asked me to. Apparently, he didn’t want any weird morning after meeting so he left and won’t be back until you’re gone. It’s outside if you want to leave.” She gave Zuri a full once-over. “Sav is my man. Don’t get any ideas. He might have fucked you last night, but it’s me he loves. Me he will always come to.”
She stood frozen after Greer left, nauseous and shaking. She should have listened to her mind. She didn’t know this guy. This was moving too fast. How could she just assume they were going to have a happily ever after because he fucked her like it was the end of the world and they were running out of
time?
Chapter Twelve
Zuri wasn’t going to wait around. She needed to breathe and think. She ran up and got her dress and then her bag, her dead cell phone, and took herself home. Not to her mother’s house, to her own place. The last thing she needed was their sympathy or sad pats and hugs trying to make her feel better.
She locked herself inside her home and went into her bedroom. She felt like a moron for crying. Why was she letting this get to her? There was no reason for her to be this upset. It had been one night. One night with a man who had rocked her world. Sex. It had been sex. So why was she now crying harder?
Because, you stupid, stupid woman, you’d given yourself the chance to hope. To believe that for once in your life, you’d finally found a man that could love you and want you so desperately, it was better than breathing. Better than being alone in your big, expensive house.
She woke later that evening with a headache and remembered she had let her phone die. She plugged it in and walked to her kitchen, her stomach grumbling for food. Reheated pasta it would be. She sat, picking at her plate and staring into nothing. After washing her dishes, she went back to her bedroom and turned her cell phone on. So many voicemails. The text messages were the first to pop up.
SageWhere are you?
Isaline There’s a man looking for you here. What do you want us to tell him? He’s huge!
MirabelHoly shit, he’s a lot hotter than I thought.
SageThis man is saying you married him? What the hell, Zuri, call us.
IsalineHow much did you drink last night? You’d need to feel really brave to climb this tree.
MirabelI bet he’s got a massive package.
Sage He finally left. We didn’t give him your address. Is he a good guy or not? Call me.
Isaline I think he’s obsessed with you. What did you do, give him the butt?
Mirabel That man is gorgeous. I hope you gave him some ass. P.S. if he’s not the father of your children, you can forget I’m your mother.
Dear god, what the hell happened while she’d been asleep?
She dialed Sage, knowing the three would be together again.
“Zuri, what the hell? Where are you?”
“Don’t worry. I’m fine,” she said, pulling clothes out of her closet. These all had to go. This was it. She had to get her shit together. Last night had had been a wakeup call. She had to stop living life from the sidelines and join in.
“Don’t worry, I’m fine is not an answer. This man is looking for you and,” Sage lowered her voice, “I have to say, he sounds like he’s worried about you. Why is he worried?”
She frowned. “I don’t know. I’m fine. I told you I am. I’m going to class tomorrow, so maybe come by after.”
“Okay. Do you want me to come over now or before? I can just sit and listen to you.”
She thought about it for a moment. “I’ll let you know. Right now, I just need alone time.”
Her cell phone rang right after that call with an unknown number. “Hello?”
“Where are you? Why did you leave?”
Savage. God. How could she have a conversation with this man when his voice alone made her knees buckle? “We’re different people, Sav. You’re a shifter. I don’t know you. I am human.”
“You’re mine. My mate,” he growled softly.
She sighed. “That’s just it. I don’t understand that. How many women do you say that to?” She pressed her lips into a thin line, thinking of Greer and her smile. “How can you tell me I’m yours and you don’t even know me? I don’t mean sexually. I mean as a person. You don’t know anything about me.”
There was harsh breathing but he didn’t speak for a moment. “What do you want, Zuri? Tell me.”
She shook her head. She didn’t know what she wanted, but she knew she deserved a man who was only going to be hers. Not some guy that she was going to be his fuck friend and he’d go home to his girlfriend. “I want whoever wants to be with me, to get to know me. So if you think you want to start a relationship with me and ONLY me, then you’ll need to make it your business to get to know who I am.”
“Of course, I only want you. There is nobody else I want. I told you, you’re my mate.”
Her heart flipped and she tried to tell herself to stop that nonsense. She also tried to stop picturing his beautiful face and harsh, wild features, but that was impossible.
“Then figure it out, Sav. Because I’m not a one-night stand kind of girl. I’m a lifetime commitment partner. I’ll give everything I have, but I expect the same in return.”
“You’re mine, Zuri. If I have to trek across this fucking planet to make you realize it, I will.”
She gulped. “I just—”
“There’s no changing what we’ve done, Zuri. You’ve given yourself to me. You can’t take it back. I won’t allow it. You’re mine. You’re staying mine.”
The next day, she went to her class and noticed everyone staring at her. Felicity rushed over the moment she arrived and gave her a hug, a wide smile on her lips. “Congrats, girl. You got Savage McKane as a mate. That’s like winning the powerball of shifters.”
She frowned. “I heard he likes to mess around a lot.”
Felicity frowned. “Savage? I asked around about him and everyone had good things to say. Well, except those that got their ass whooped for trying to fly some nonsense his way. He owns a logging business and his employees are his clan members. They have to bust ass or he tells them point blank their asses are on the line. Still, nothing about him being a manwhore came about.”
There was a deathly silence in the room and both women turned to the door. There he stood, Savage McKane and her professor.
“That’s because I’m not a manwhore,” Sav said quietly, his gaze stuck on Zuri.
Felicity rushed to her station and Sav came to stand beside her.
“Ladies and gentlemen, today we are working in pairs. Mr. McKane and Ms. Primrose, you’ll be a pair,” she said, her eyes twinkling with humor. “You can take the station at the far back.”
Everyone was busy pairing up while they were all the way at the back in the farthest station from the group. Once others got to their stations, she realized there were four empty rows between them and everyone else.
“What are you doing here?” she asked, finally meeting his gaze.
He gave her a proprietary look that heated her down to the core. “I’m here for you.”
“That’s not how this works. This is a class. We’re here to learn.”
A slow grin spread over his lips. “I’m sure I can teach you a thing or two.”
Her face flushed. “It’s a cooking class, you pig.”
He leaned in to whisper close to her face. “Not a pig. Savage. And all I can think of is how good you’ll taste with my face between your legs,” he told her. “Remember my tongue, Zuri. You loved feeling it slide up and down your pussy, licking up your cream and making your legs shake.”
Good lord, she was going to pass out. “Shhh!”
He grinned wider. “No matter what you do or say, we both know that after all this, you’re coming home with me and I’m counting the minutes until I can spread your legs open and feast on your pretty little pussy. It’ll be slick and wet and smell of pure cotton candy. Mmm.” He groaned and leaned closer, until their lips were almost touching. “I’ll lick and suck and fuck you with my tongue. You’ll grip my hair and shove your pussy into my face and then when I growl and make you come, you’ll love every second of coming on my tongue. Don’t make me wait too long, my dick is hard enough thinking about it.”
Chapter Thirteen
Sav had underestimated his mate. The woman could cook. Poppy would be proud. He watched the ease with which she put ingredients into pans and mixed things before the instructor had given the go ahead. She’d been too quiet, so he asked questions to get her to talk to him. No, he didn’t know what the hell she was doing, but he wanted to hear her voice.
“Why do you like cooki
ng?”
She raised her face and looked at him with a thoughtful look.
“You know, I didn’t realize how therapeutic it was until after I started doing it. I mean, I really enjoyed putting the dishes together, seeing them at the different stages. Plating is my favorite. I love watching someone when I show them what I made,” she said, her eyes lit up as she spoke.
“You didn’t always like to cook?” He watched her move things around and multitask easily.
“No. My ex-husband was the cook in our house. He loved it. He used to spend hours thinking of what to make,” she said, the smile falling from her face. “Once we got divorced, I realized I had to learn to cook. I was living alone and couldn’t live off my mom’s cooking forever. Though knowing her, she’d happily bring me food and make me eat it.” She scrunched her nose. “I’m not into trying weird vegetarian dishes.”
The bear inside him pushed to the surface at the mention of another male. But the fact she stated he was no longer in her life calmed him down quickly. It was obvious she was hurt badly by the divorce.
Even as she mentioned it in passing, he heard the change in her voice and noticed her scent changed from happy to sad. He cupped her hand over the chopping block where she was cutting and frowned.
“I’m sorry that male hurt you, but I’m glad you’re alone or I’d have to scare him off you.”
She shook her head but a small grin flirted on her lips. “You’re insane.”
She moved farther down the station and floured the granite counter top, then started rolling dough.
“What are you making?” he finally asked.
She smiled widely and sighed. “You know, you’re supposed to be helping me. And we’re making chicken pot pie from scratch.”
He grumbled, “I prefer Shepherd’s Pie.”
“Duly noted. Doesn’t really help our current situation, though,” she told him with a laugh. “Anyway, what about you, why are you here? And if you say it’s only to be near me, I’m going to be seriously creeped out.”
