Tom stood there, composed, his arms folded as he watched the chaos around, “Damien was captured and I simply asked Jim to withdraw the troops from my property.”

Sasha played on, “How did he take it?”

Tom turned to her and smiled, “You should know… you were eavesdropping in the tree. after all!!”

Sasha playfully punched his arm, “Nothing gets past you! Speaking of which… you still haven’t answered my question from earlier…how did you know I was in trouble?”

Tom simply tapped his nose again.

“You smelt him? That’s incredible, your sense of smell must be equivalent to that of a bear?!”

Tom shrugged, “Or I just nose things!” laughing loudly like an annoying older brother.

Sasha slapped his arm playfully again. “We will see if you are so smug in your next lesson!” She turned to leave the cottage, “I’d better go chat to Jim.”

Tom shook his head… “Just remember you have tribal council in the barn with the elders at sunset...”

Sasha grimaced, “Must I bring my torch?”

Tom smiled, “Nah I think you’re safe this vote.”

  “I better be!”

Sasha left Tom in the cottage and went to find Jim. He was standing with his iPad, barking orders at the troops.

“A little birdy told me that you got a bit of a telling off from a wolf cub?”

Jim squinted his eyes and shook his head, “Yeah, I underestimated the youngster’s resolve; he is not the pushover I first envisioned, you are going to have to keep your wits about you.”

Sasha smiled, “Back to Plan B?”

Jim nodded, “Yip! We are going to have to stick to Plan B for now! Those bloody stubborn wolves! I still can’t believe their arrogance!” He shook his head, “Well, I suppose we can take some comfort from the fact that this little exercise wasn’t a total loss… the lab results came back already, and it would appear that the venom that sent Damien into a coma wasn’t yours!”

Sasha looked confused, “Was he attacked in the woods by someone else?”

Jim smiled, “Nope! It seems our little wolf cub may be even more extraordinary than we thought… he injected his slow acting venom through his wolf fangs!”

Sasha was in shock, “I have never heard of anyone doing that!”

Jim nodded, “Well he apparently CAN! And it makes him even more dangerous than we thought.” He paused and looked around carefully as he moved in closer and spoke softly”, “You are going to have to keep an extra close eye on him and be careful what you do and say, even if you are out of earshot… I have a feeling he knows more than he is letting on. Well, for that matter, a close eye on both of them, and until we run more tests we won’t know if this is a fluke or a symptom of their impending fourling change!”

Sasha nodded, “Thanks for the heads up, will you ask James to drop off some anti-venom? Oh, and let me know if you need more samples for testing. I can always throw something into one of the lessons.”

Jim nodded, “Oh and one last thing. I have sent you a link for an app, we managed to set perimeter sensors before we were evicted. I must be honest; your tardiness with Damien did not impress me… I expect better of you! You need to keep your guard up and be more vigilant. Pete could have ambushed you instead of Damien and trust me, if it had been him, we wouldn’t be having this conversation right now, I would be scouring the countryside picking up your pieces!”

Sasha lowered her head, she did know better and she was angry at herself more than anything else, “It was a momentary lapse in judgment, I got cocky and let my guard down…it won’t happen again! Trust me!”

Jim smiled, “I know it won’t!”

  Chapter 9 Ayahuasca Dreams

Sasha arrived at the barn as the sun was setting. She looked around, amazed at how quickly the dust had settled, leaving nothing but the endless tranquility that she had come to expect from the farm. She was greeted by Julia at the door; she was relieved to see her up and about.

Julia took her hand, “Come with me…I have been tasked with preparing you for tonight’s ceremony.”

Sasha looked around, surprised, as they headed off around the side of the barn, “Where are you taking me? Wait? Did you say ceremony? Is someone getting married?”

Julia laughed, “No, silly, it sounds more formal than it should, the elders tasked me with preparing you for your meeting with them. Whenever they weigh in on important matters, they need to consult the ancestors for wisdom and guidance and that requires everyone to be on the same spiritual plane.”

Sasha stopped in her tracks, “Wait! What?”

Julia stopped and turned to face Sasha, “Don’t worry, you will be fine. I was nervous the first time too, but I promise you it is nothing to worry about.” She lifted her hand and placed it between Sasha’s round, voluptuous breasts and looked her in the eye… “You have a pure heart.”

Sasha felt a twinge of dread and wondered what happened if your heart was not pure and you were just born to bullshit… could you bullshit the all-knowing ancestors? She realized that this meeting with the elders was not as straightforward as she had first thought.

They finally arrived at a small door leading to a private room built into the side of the barn. If you didn’t know it was there you would miss it. Sasha was immediately taken aback; the room was all but empty, comprising only of a square tartan blanket, a barrel cut in half and a bucket of soapy water. Sasha turned to Julia… “I take it this is some sort of cleaning ritual?”

Julia smiled mischievously as she closed the door and locked it behind her, “It’s much more than that! The only way to see the elders is through me…”

Sasha looked around confused, “I don’t understand!”

Julia walked up to Sasha and placed her index finger on her lips to quiet her down, “Trust me…” She looked Sasha in the eyes. She could tell that Sasha was nervous, uncomfortable with the sudden shift in the power dynamic, but more importantly she could tell in Sasha’s eyes that she was equally turned on by it. Julia came in close, leaning her body into Sasha as she grabbed her top and pulled it up and over her head, throwing it into the corner of the barn. Sasha felt intoxicated with Julia’s ever potent pheromones and grabbed her face and pulled her in for a passionate kiss, her hands searching for the bottom of Julia’s cute summer dress, only breaking the kiss as she lifted Julia’s dress up and over her head. Julia was mad with lust and pushed Sasha down onto the tartan blanket, sitting on her knees she undid the button on Sasha’s jeans and pulled them off. She sat back up and undid her own bra, freeing her perfectly rounded, perky breasts. Sasha sat up and let her hands gently guide Julia’s perfect breasts to her warm, moist mouth, suckling and teasing her erect little nipples. Julia threw her head back and then forward as the pressure in her clit began to build and finally when she couldn’t take it anymore, she pushed Sasha back down. Julia ripped off her wet undies and tossed them to the side. Sasha sat leaning back on her elbows, waiting in anticipation. Julia began scissoring Sasha, pushing her moist, wet, erect clit against Sasha’s. They could feel each other, their clits dripping and grinding, the two bodies moving in unison, aching as they rode each other with alternating thrusts, pushing their small little clits into each other’s hungry, dripping vaginas. Just as they were about to climax, Julia pulled back and thrust her middle finger deep into Sasha’s vagina. Sasha groaned, arching and twisting in pleasure, the climax building quickly and feverishly as Julia massaged her g-spot and clit at the same time, culminating in a massive orgasmic explosion. Sasha screamed out in pleasure, clamping Julia’s wet and tired hand in-between her strong, supple thighs as she rode out wave after wave of orgasm, her body finally collapsing, tingling from head to toe, spent and exhausted. Sasha lay there with her eyes closed, trying to get some oxygen flow down into her stiff muscles. She could hear Julia was busy doing something, but she was too busy recovering to even care.

Julia knelt down next to Sasha and held out a small brown bowl, “H
ere, drink this.”

Sasha was parched from exertion and welcomed the beverage, downing it quickly before realizing the thick molasses-type drink was thick and foul tasting. She scrunched her face up, sticking her tongue out, “Yuck! What the hell is that stuff? It tastes like I’m drinking foul old moldy water.”

Julia smiled mischievously again and took Sasha’s hand as she pulled her to her feet, “Come, we must cleanse you before we meet the Elders and our Great Ancestors.”

Sasha pulled her hand back, “What did I just drink?”

Julia smiled, “We always drink ayahuasca before meeting with the ancestors. It unlocks our minds and allows us to see through the curtains that separate us from the other realms.”

Sasha’s heart dropped; she feared returning to the void, her less than pure heart exposed by the blackness she was destined to return to… her heart began racing in fear, and she felt like a deer trapped in the headlights.

Julia could sense her apprehension and gently squeezed her hand while looking deep into her eyes, “I know in my heart that we are meant to be on this journey together, and just as I have trusted you, I need you to trust me… we all have gifts in life, and this is mine.”

Sasha wasn’t sure if the drug was starting to relax her or if it was Julia’s hypnotic scent and kind voice that settled her mind, but she felt relaxed as she glided into the barrel. Julia took the sponge out of the bucket and squeezed the warm, relaxing water out over Sasha’s body all the while slowly reciting… “Cleansed be… Blessed Be… May the Mother Goddess Guide thee…” After her body was cleansed physically and spiritually, she was ready to meet the elders and join in their commune with the ancestors. Julia led Sasha into the barn. The early effects of the drug were starting to take hold, the barn was covered in magical shiny hues, everything had an aura which pulsed and glimmered in the candlelight, nothing seemed to obey the natural laws, and everything curved and bent and changed shape. Julia guided her to take a seat between Tom and herself.

Sasha looked over at Tom and had to hold her eyes shut for a moment to focus, as she saw him shifting instantaneously between Wolf, Hawk and Snake. Her head drunk and heavy she turned to see if Julia’s face was doing the same… she held out a finger and touched Julia’s face… “Keep still! I can’t focus if you keep shifting.”

Julia smiled and showed her her own reflection in the barn window.

“I am also shifting!” She exclaimed loudly, as her face shifted from Wolf to Raven to Snake and back. Sasha became stuck, unable to move her gaze as her faces began shifting faster and faster until finally, they all began to fade into one hazy form…a hybrid face that scared the crap out of her. She quickly raised her hands and covered her eyes. “Is that how I look on the inside?”

She felt Tom’s strong-arm slide across her back and rest gently on her shoulder before squeezing, “It’s going to be okay; the first trip is always a little intense.”

Suddenly an ache began rising from the pit of Sasha’s stomach, her face went ghostly pale.

Julia had been expecting this and thrust an empty bucket onto Sasha’s lap and said knowingly, “It’s called the purge… you need to clean yourself of all the earthly toxins and restraints designed to keep you locked on this plane.”

Sasha pictured this dirty, dark, unholy mixture as it started to bubble and churn, rising up slowly with intensity until it burst forth and exploded out of her mouth and into the bucket.

Tom gently rubbed her back, “There… there, Sasha, the worst of it is over.”

Julia passed her a napkin and she wiped her mouth, “You should start feeling a little more in control from now”

Sasha smirked, “Control?” Her mind was like an ADHD toddler on steroids.

Julia laughed, “Just focus on the Mother Goddess, she will guide you through the void … just as she always has.”

Sasha tried to stand up, “Not the void… I can’t go back to the void!! I won’t go back to the void.”

Just then, Tom stood up and put his strong arms around her, knowing that his strong alpha scent would calm the fight or flight instinct, ‘’Just take a deep breath in and relax! Everything is going to be fine.”

Julia stood next to Tom and wiped the hair out of Sasha’s face, “Sasha, you have got it all wrong, the void is not the destination … it’s only meant to be a brief stop on your journey to the other side. It is where you channel your unresolved feelings and gain clarity of mind so you can move freely on to the next plane.”

Sasha remembered the little girl and ducked under Tom’s arms, “I need to find the little girl, is she here? I think I left her here by mistake.” Sasha stopped, “No wait, I remember!”

Julia and Tom looked at each other a little bewildered. Tom asked cautiously, “What do you remember?”

Sasha ran to the middle of the room, oblivious to the presence of the Elders and the rest of the wolf pack.

Tom was about to call her back when Einrich the chief Wolf Elder raised his hand and shook his head, motioning for him and Julia to sit back down and leave her.

Sasha ran 15 feet to the right and stopped frantically, “I left her with the Mother Goddess. I remember now, it wasn’t safe, I needed to protect her.” She paused before starting to shout, “Jim! Jim! He had the bag over my head! Change! Change! Change! The little girl… she nearly died...” Sasha slumped to the floor, “No!! No!!” She grabbed the loose hay on the floor with her hands, tears streaming from her eyes, “No!! No!! She didn’t die!! I thought that part of me died that day… but no I just hid that scared innocent little girl away, I left her with the Mother to protect her, to shield her from what I had to endure in order to become what I have, my transformation is almost complete!!” Sasha took a deep breath, oblivious of her enthralled audience, “Mother, It’s safe! I feel safe here! I am ready… I can protect her now!”

There was a blinding light and the Mother Goddess appeared before Sasha, “She has been waiting for your return. She has missed you!”

Sasha held out her arms and watched her younger self sprint away from the protection of the Mother Goddess. As she enclosed the little girl in her arms the two began to merge in a blinding light that exploded and temporarily blinded everyone in the room. Sasha glanced up and spoke to the Mother Goddess, “I am ready to leave the void.”

The Mother Goddess nodded and motioned for Sasha to follow her into the light.

Sasha stepped into a multi-colored vision of psychedelic patterns, auras emanating from every rock, blade of grass, tree and cloud in the sky, and she saw the pack lazing around near a large rock listening to stories told by the elders. Sasha went and sat on the outskirts of the group, wanting to listen but not disturb the group.

The Mother Goddess sat next to her, “The Elders of this pack carry the history of the entire pack, going back thousands of years. They channel their ancestors and relive their memories as they tell these tales.” The Mother Goddess pointed over at Julia, “Julia is a very special young woman. While her brother is destined to protect and lead all the changelings in day to day things, she is destined to lead not only this pack, but countless others through rediscovering their roots, a shaman for the people. Her third eye is already very sensitive and intuitive to those around her; whether it is a soul that walked the earth a thousand years ago, or one she met yesterday… she even knows those she is still destined to meet.” She smiled and touched Sasha’s face, “she knew you would be her mentor before you arrived, she sensed the danger to your life and called her brother to action. She is the one who was prophesized to replace the Great Sharmana.”

Sasha lowered her head in shame, “I am no mentor, I have been lying to them.”

The Mother Goddess shook her head, “No! You have been lying to yourself and they have been lying to you all your life! You were not born to just be an assassin slave. You were destined to be so much more, and the training you received will help you achieve your higher purpose - and that is to protect the Fiveling and the Great Sharmana.

Sasha’s face lit up as the realization dawned on her, “The twins are going to be extremely powerful when they reach maturity. It’s no wonder the Council and the Faction are busy moving pieces into position preparing to pounce, I know the Council can’t be trusted, but is the Faction any better? We are going to need allies we can trust.”

“There are enemies and allies on both sides and who to trust is not always clear cut; at times your enemies may be your only salvation and at others your greatest threat. That is why it is imperative to secure the bond that has been forged between the three of you! You have done well so far and have already started to unblock each other’s chakras and minds by harnessing the power of chi, but it is not enough. You will need to go beyond the training of a threeling and learn to summon the Kundalini and harness the power of its eternal life force. Each coil of the resting serpent represents an attribute each of you bring to this primal energy. You will need to harness the power of the twin flames in order to control and re-channel the power surge created by the birth of the fiveling, and if you don’t, millions of people will be killed in the fallout.”

Sasha nodded; she could feel the effects of the ayahuasca starting to wear off. The Mother Goddess touched her head and began walking off, with each step lowering the veil that lay between this world and the next …the grass, rocks, trees and psychedelic sky fading away into the four walls of the barn.

Einrich’s voice brought her back to consciousness. “Sasha, please step forward.”

Sasha looked around, bewildered, before finally finding her feet and stepping forward.

Einrich raised his hands, “The Mother Goddess has bestowed upon you the right to mentor our fledglings. We trust in her wisdom. You may resume their training in the morning.”

Sasha felt humbled by the experience and bowed to the elder, “Thank you Elder Einrich. I am humbled and honored to be a part of their journey.”
