Samantha in Singapore

“The let’s call his bluff and tell him we’d love to go, but it will need to be an early dinner and somewhere close to the office. Then we could leave in time to get you back in time for your conference.”
Sam texted him back, and he agreed to arrange it to fit around our schedule.
As it turned out, it sounded quite interesting. J had told us that his cousin is a renowned French surgeon who lives in Paris. He is also known for his philanthropic work. He regularly leads a team of surgeons to the former French colonies of West Africa to perform surgeries in poor communities.
During the week, I tried to behave as normally as possible with J, which was difficult when I knew he was texting Sam behind my back. I knew because she showed me all the texts. He wasn’t quite at the point of sexting her, but he was getting close. The sooner Charlie’s plans got underway, the better. Either A or B, I didn’t care.
When we arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 on the Friday we were introduced to a man with the most commanding presence I’d ever encountered. He stood up from the table to greet us, and he towered over Sam as he kissed her on both cheeks and told her how wonderful it was to meet her. He took my hand in a grip that was as warm and friendly as it was firm. The man was tall, athletically slim, with broad, strong shoulders, and extremely handsome. On top of all that, he exuded power.
Phillipe was older than J and, if I’d had to guess, I would have put him in his early to mid-thirties. Young to have built the reputation he’d achieved. As he told us of his exploits, I noticed that J looked a little annoyed that his cousin was dominating the conversation. I found the man so fascinating that I was perfectly prepared to listen to him all evening.
He told us about his surgical teams’ efforts in Africa and explained that he’d been invited to Singapore at the request of a local philanthropist. The plan was to encourage a similar group of surgeons from Singapore General, and Bangkok’s highly respected Bumrungrad Hospital, to undertake similar philanthropic missions to developing countries.
It became more and more obvious that J was feeling out of control in the shadow of his famous cousin. He kept trying to be attentive to Sam and impress her with witty comments, but all her focus was on the captivating Phillipe.
In turn, Phillipe seemed intent on drawing Sam into deep conversations. He asked her where she considered home, and her response was almost bewilderingly existential.
“For the last month or so we’ve been here in Singapore, and this is home. But I’ve come to believe that before we came here, I’d been living firmly in the past.”
The more they chatted, the more she opened up. She seemed to find him easy to talk to, and it was clear that J was not a happy camper. He seemed to feel that he and his cousin were competing for her attention. And Phillipe was winning, hands down. I’m convinced that Phillipe was just being himself and had no intention of contending for Sam’s interest.
As J fumed, I decided to be a little cruel and turn the knife a little more. I thought the time was right to slip in the fact that there was a possibility we would need to prepare for another shoot. If she decided to do it, the shoot would be the final one with Samantha. And we wouldn’t need his participation. I thought he was going to explode. Sam patted his hand consolingly while turning her attention back to Phillipe. J rightly took it as if she were being condescending and told us he was going outside for some air.
“Tell me about this recent change you’ve experienced that’s causing you to question your past attitudes.” Phillipe was genuinely interested in Sam’s comments about her altered perspectives.
“Well, it’s like I’m becoming more aware of everything and everyone around me. All these regular people with jobs and husbands and exes and aging parents and aging pets and crazy siblings and big dreams. And fantasies that I would never have dreamed of.”
“What kinds of fantasies are you thinking of?”
With J’s absence, Sam felt comfortable explaining about Tony and Charlotte’s lifestyle. She obviously didn’t mention them by name. She admitted to a desire to be more fun-loving and open to experiences, like her unnamed friend.
“You needn’t keep protecting the innocent any longer, Samantha. I know Tony and Charlotte extremely well. It was them that invited me here. You also deserve to know that I am in a long-term relationship with a married woman. I’ve been Elise’s lover for several years. We have a unique situation because, like Tony, her husband, Stefan, has a strong desire to watch the woman he loves with another man. The uniqueness is that I do too. He loves to watch her with me, and I love to watch her with him. I know it’s unusual, but it works for us. We are all taught to modulate our behaviors to conform to societal norms but all three of us are extremely happy to be shattering those norms.
“I would recommend strongly that, if Charlotte’s lifestyle interests you, the most imperative first step is to discuss it as a couple to make sure you both feel the same.”
Sam was wide-eyed with Phillipe’s revelations. The admission, by such an impressive man, that his fantasies included wife-watching, and that it was a recognized interest around the world, had her mesmerized. The fact that he clearly found her attractive and interesting increased his appeal.
I was feeling completely untethered by what was happening. I was at a loss as to how to join in the conversation.
I sat there trying to look like the coolest guy on the planet. The guy who is fully aware of his wife’s appeal and is happy to indulge her. Don’t ask me what that looks like but that’s what I was going for, so just pretend I nailed it.
It was gone 8:30 and I told Phillipe that unfortunately, I needed to go. I explained the videoconference with Germany, and he was very understanding.
“That’s the global nature of the business world today, Jake. It’s the same in medicine, but we all do what we must do. Rather than making Sam sit there on the sidelines, why don’t you leave her here to entertain us?”
I looked at Sam and was surprised to see her nodding eagerly.
“Can I stay, Jake. You could always come back after the conference and pick me up.”
J had returned to the table, looking decidedly sullen, just as Phillipe was making his suggestion and I almost took pity on him. It would be guaranteed that he would be a third wheel, hidden in the shadow of Phillipe’s magnetism.
“Hey J, I think you could actually add a lot of value to the conference if you’d be willing to join me. It could also be good for your career.”
He looked almost relieved. He’d already concluded that he was not destined to be getting any attention from my wife that evening. He made his decision in an instant. Having decided to meet back at the restaurant in an hour, J and I walked around the corner to the studio.
Had I made the mistake of my life leaving Sam in the company of such a handsome and charismatic presence?
#####
The videoconference started at precisely nine o’clock and on it went. I’d been under the impression that it was to be a high-level discussion, but I’d been wrong. They wanted to talk about detailed technical specifications, and contracts, and timelines. I’d assumed the Germans would want to go home on a Friday afternoon, but my assumption was wrong. J kept rolling his eyes, and by ten o’clock, I’d begun to panic. My mind refused to stay focused on the complex discussion of lenses and drifted continually back to the thought of my wife in the company of Phillipe. I asked for a five-minute pause, and they readily agreed.
I quickly texted Sam.
[JakeF] Running over. Dragging on endlessly. You OK?
Within seconds she texted back.
[SAMMIEF] No worries. All good here. Having a wonderful evening.
[JakeF] Still at the restaurant?
[SAMMIEF] Yes, but Phillipe said, as you’re running late, we should go for a drink at the bar in his hotel over in Marina Bay, and you could meet us there when you’re done. Is that OK?
[JakeF] Sure. I need to get back to the conference. Talk soon. xxx
If my conce
ntration had been weak before the break, it was worse after it. I’d just agreed to let my wife go to another man’s hotel. Why hadn’t I just said no?
#####
The conference call eventually wrapped up at about 10:40pm. J, having spent enough of the evening playing second fiddle to his cousin, said he was going home. He had been useful on the conference call, and I told him so. He actually smiled for the first time since he’d greeted us at the restaurant.
I sat there alone in the studio. Late at night, the place had an eerie, subterranean feel to it. During the day the basement location didn’t register, but alone at night, the sensation was weird.
[JakeF] All done. Where shall I meet you?
When Sam hadn’t responded after ten minutes, I dialed her number. It went straight to voicemail. Where the hell was she?
I realized that the earlier text said Phillipe’s hotel was over in Marina Bay, but it didn’t say which one. There are at least ten luxury hotels in that area, and they could be at any one of them.
[JakeF] Been done for twenty minutes but can’t contact you. FOMO in a bad way!
Why was Sam not responding to texts and not picking up her phone?
My imagination ran rampant. I pictured my wife in a bar, telling Phillipe of her newfound skill at deep throating, and him requesting a demonstration. I pictured her, on her knees in Phillipe’s hotel room taking his, undoubtedly large, cock deep into her throat to impress him.
[JakeF] SAM. PLEASE RESPOND.
Why had I left her in the company of that handsome, captivating black guy? Should I just get a cab over to Marina Bay and start looking around all the hotels?
A few months before I would have had no qualms about Sam’s behavior, but now, with her recent sexual liberation, I imagined every form of depravity known to man. Was he fucking her in the ass as I sat there helpless in my basement dungeon?
I was a basket case. I stood up… I sat down… I paced… I sat down again. Where was my wife? My heart was pounding, and waves of nausea were rising from the depths of my burning stomach. When my phone pinged, I nearly fell off my chair.
[PHILLIPE] Hi honey, where are you? Using P’s phone. Left mine at the restaurant.
[JakeF] More importantly, where are you?
[PHILLIPE] Ritz Carlton like I told you.
[JakeF] That’s the thing. You NEVER told me.
[PHILLIPE] Oh, God. So sorry. Come now. Room 2140.
[JakeF] You’re in his room?
[PHILLIPE] I am!!!! What do you think of THAT! You can’t imagine what we’re doing!!!!! Sorry about your fear of missing out!
[JakeF] Coming now.
What was she doing in his room? Didn’t she realize how tormented I’ve been feeling? The cab ride was less than ten minutes, but it felt like a lifetime.
When I arrived at the room, I must have been looking a little crazed and I know I was panting. Phillipe looked at me questioningly as he opened the door.
“Is everything okay Jake? You look a little flushed.”
I peered around him into the room. What was I expecting to see? Sam tied spread-eagled on the bed. Clothes strewn in passionate abandon.
My relief was almost palpable when I saw my wife sitting comfortably on a large sofa, with a glass of brandy in her hand and taking in the magnificent view of the sparkling lights of the city and harbor. She stood up as I entered the room, and I realized that all my fears had been in my imagination. My wonderful wife walked over to me and welcomed me with a kiss.
Phillipe poured me a brandy, and I sat with Sam on the sofa. Phillipe resumed his seat in a large armchair to the side. Utilizing my best detective skills, I noticed that his glass had been positioned by the chair when I came in.
They told me how they’d come to his room because a group of rowdy executives had taken over the bar in the lobby. They told me of the lost phone and the plans for Samson to pick it up the next day. We chatted for maybe another half hour before we decided to call it a night.
I thanked Phillipe for taking care of my wife, and I genuinely meant it. Sam would have been crushingly bored if she’d come into the office with me. And, to all intents and purposes, he had been a perfect gentleman.
When we climbed into a taxi at the front of the hotel, I couldn’t wait to grill Sam about her comments in the text.
“Why did you say in the text that I couldn’t imagine what you were doing.”
“Honey I was just teasing. I thought you’d like it. You know; your fantasy of me being with another man.”
“I’d been worried sick about you. We’d had no communication, and I didn’t know where you were, and you decided that it was a good time to tease me?”
“Oh, Jake, I’m so sorry. I hadn’t realized that I’d not told you which hotel. I just assumed your call was running even later. I wouldn’t have made that comment if I’d thought it would hurt you. I love you, Jake.”
She reached out, took my hand, and stroked it down the side of her face.
“No, I’m sorry. I’m just paranoid. I know I wanted this, but even so, it's hard to adjust to this new you. You’ve evolved into someone unpredictable, and I’m finding it tough to get used to. Be careful what you wish for, I suppose.”
We sat there quietly for a few minutes while we both contemplated my self-confessed concerns. Sam was still holding my hand, and she placed it on her bare leg, just above the knee.
“I have an admission to make. It’s kind of in the spirit of this new unpredictability.”
She took my hand and slowly slid it up her soft thigh. I glanced forward to see if the driver was paying us any attention, but his eyes were fixed firmly on the road.
As my hand moved higher, my wife moved her legs apart just a little. As I reached the magical warmth of her center, I gasped, and my eyes went like saucers. No panties. I was touching my wife’s bare and extremely wet pussy.
“When did you take them off?”
“I’ve not had any on all evening. I just wanted to see how it felt to be out to dinner in a public place, knowing that I had this secret. Charlotte told me, when we were shopping one day, that she does it often.”
“But you were alone with another man in his hotel room, and you weren’t wearing panties.”
“I know. Sexy, huh?”
“Were you wet for him like you are now?”
“Only when he told me more about his three-way relationship back in Europe. He made all this wife-sharing thing sound so hot while also sounding perfectly normal.”
“And what did you tell him?”
“Well, I’d had a few drinks, so maybe I told him more than I’d intended.”
I stroked her pussy in encouragement, and the delicious feminine scent of her arousal drifted towards me.
“Like what?”
“I told him about the first video shoot. But then I told him about the shoot with J.”
“You admitted that?”
She just nodded.
“I admitted more… While you were still there, I’d tried to talk in general terms about how I’d like to be more open and adventurous like Charlie but, later, I admitted about the stuff that happened on the island.”
“All of it?”
She nodded again.
“I also told him that I’d decided to do the third and final shoot with the three guys from the island.”
“You HAVE decided? And you told Phillipe before discussing it with me?”
“I’m sorry, Jake. I just decided on the spur of the moment. It was all the talk of this hotwife lifestyle that did it. I wasn’t thinking. I’m sorry. I love you more than anything. If you don’t want me to do the shoot, then I won’t. If it would hurt you, or if you think it would damage our marriage, then I’m not doing it.”
“I’m not saying I don’t want you to do it, Sam. I was just hurt by you telling Phillipe before me. I know, it’s a bit juvenile, but I was upset. Doing the shoot or not doing the shoot is your decision alone, Sam. You are a smart, empowered woman, and I can’t
dictate what you should do.”
How was that for passing the buck? In my conflicted mind, I wanted to watch my wife with the three studs from the island. Just the thought of it combined with the feel of her warm, wet, pussy on my fingers, had me rock hard. On the other hand, this was my naïve wife who, until recently had never even been with another man; who I loved more than life itself. This must be what purgatory feels like.
Just as the cab was pulling up at the front of our building, Sam leaned over to me.
“I have one more admission, honey.”
I gulped.
“Phillipe and I felt really close tonight Jake. I think I could tell him anything and he would never be judgmental. Well, he asked if he could be in the control room for the final shoot… and I agreed.”
#####
The text that had the potential to shatter our marriage came two days later.
[CHARLIE] Simon, William, and Julian arrive next Wednesday for three days on their way home to Nassau. If you want to schedule a shoot, I would suggest Friday. BTW, had dinner with Phillipe last night and he tells us he will be in the control room!
Sam was nervous, but ultimately, she wanted to do it. She described it as the pinnacle of her evolutionary growth and made it clear that she intended to stop playing with other men as soon as the shoot was over. She described how it had made her feel by using the analogy of the caterpillar’s transformation into a glorious butterfly. She was craving reassurance that she should go ahead with it.
“If you think you are going to abandon your amazing hotwife qualities after the shoot, then you should go ahead with it, Sam. You can’t stop now. It’s like you’re at the end of the third quarter in a football game, and you know the big stuff usually happens in the fourth quarter.”
I wasn’t sure that I wanted her to stop, though. Okay, it tore me up with jealousy and fed all my insecurities, but conversely, it was the hottest thing I’d ever seen.
“When we did the last shoots, I convinced myself it was altruistically for the good of Mylitta. This time I’m being entirely honest and admitting it’s for us. We’re in this together Jake, or we’re not in it at all. It’s not solely about my desires or your fantasies; it’s about both those things; it’s about the two of us.”
