And Catch the Fly

A text from my mother sat on the screen.

Mother: I'll be staying a week longer. Networking and getting my campaign team together. Your numbers have been sufficient.

That was her equivalent of giving me praise. I frowned. I hadn't had my sugars taken since she left and Roberta hadn't come to me for her bribe yet, nor was she there to take my sugars the day prior, not even in the morning when I was there. Did she cover for me yesterday? Obviously, my mother got some kind of report from her because she'd be flipping her shit and I'm sure coming back if she hadn't. I didn't reply. I had nothing to say and she wouldn't reply if I did.

My stomach protested the fact I skipped breakfast, used to the very least oatmeal in the morning, it wanted something, but I wasn't sure if it could handle more take out. In three days I'd had more calories, high carbs, and fat foods than I had in years. It was glorious, but a definite shock to my system. The wings they got were to die for though, crispy and flavorful. With their help, I'd gotten caught up on all my homework, and they'd even helped me get ahead in Calculus. Hopefully, it would stop Mr. Bury from singling me out.

I rested my head against the seat and stared at the school. In another life, one where I got to be myself from the start, I bet we would've been friends. Everything I secretly liked one or all of them liked it, too. From my love of obscure early punk bands, to superhero shows. Rhett was a super fan of Cloak and Dagger, a show that I watched when I wanted to escape. I wish I'd been able to experience high school with them as my friends.

Maybe then I could've dated Sai. Hell, any of them would've been nice. Even Zeke. The way he held me while we slept, was warm and gentle. His arm gave me the security I hadn't realized I needed until then. For once, the shadows and orange glowing walls didn't haunt my dreaming mind. I wanted that every night.

What if he'd gone further? Past holding me. What if he kissed my neck and ran his hand over my body? I shivered. I don't think I would've turned him away. My clit tingled. If his hand slid down farther going into my pants, I would’ve welcomed the pleasure.

My eyes closed, hand pulling up my dress just enough to slide my fingers under it. I wanted to be touched as if my pleasure mattered as well. And in my head, Zeke could deliver that.I’d heard the smoker girls talk about him in the restroom, he had a reputation for making girls squirt. "Fuck."

Sai passed over the bag of food. Placing it at my feet, I rubbed at my face with a yawn.

He looked at me and pulled out of the drive-thru. "Not get enough beauty sleep?"

I glared at him. "She had me awake at fucking five in the morning, so she could get ready. The woman is insane."

Rhett leaned on the back of Sai's seat and cocked his head. "Your room is upstairs. How would she getting ready early effect you?" His blue eyes narrowed. "Don't tell me you took advantage of her."

Turning in my seat, I glared even more. "No! We didn't fuck. Fuck that noise. I woke up last night and she was crying loud enough I worried it would wake my dad up. So I went down there. She was having a night terror." My gaze went back to the windshield, we got closer to the school. "Once I got her to wake up, she asked me to stay so she could sleep. So, I stayed, but nothing happened! She's not my type."

They didn't need to know that I'd cuddled up to her in my sleep. It wasn't like a conscious decision. I always did that when there was a girl in my bed. It meant nothing, even if she smelled amazing and once she got in the shower my dick was harder than a rock. None of them needed those details ever. I would take it to my grave.

Bon sighed. "So she has night terrors, huh? What happened after you stayed with her? Did they come back?"

I shook my head. "Not that I could tell, she didn't wake me up with more crying or anything."

Sai pulled into the parking lot of Woodside. I leaned down to start handing out the food. Despite the chat session that morning, we'd managed to still make it early enough that we didn't need to choke down our food to get to class on time.

Rhett took his bacon McGriddle from me and pointed at something through the windshield. "Is that Chanel? She doesn't normally park over here."

My gaze went to where he pointed. Chanel's car sat diagonal from Sai's. She sat in it, her eyes closed. Of course she was getting some shut-eye, while I had to feel like death warmed over. "You should honk, she shouldn't get a nap when she's the reason I'm exhausted this morning. I looked down to pull out Bon's food and then Sai's, handing them out.

Bon shook his head, his eyes still on her, his mouth fell open a bit. "It doesn't look like she's napping to me."

The darkening look in his eyes spoke volumes and I whipped back around. Her eyes remained closed, but she bit her full lip. Upon second glance the slight twitching of her right arm caught my attention. Is she? No. But as I disregarded the thought, her other hand slid up her body and squeezed her breast through her dress.

Sai gripped at the steering wheel. "Holy fuck she's..." He trailed off as her back arched off the seat and her hand moved faster.

Once again, I had a hard-on for the second time that morning, and Chanel Bishop, the queen bee bitch of Woodside was the catalyst. My cock betrayed me with its desire to be buried deep inside her. I prided myself on going after the girls that were the opposite to her, but my dick didn't seem to care about that fact. I'd be left with blue balls. I was nowhere near her level of giving zero fucks to just masturbate in the car. Not to mention, I wasn't alone.

Her eyes squeezed harder and her mouth fell open. She tensed and then still, chest heaving as she caught her breath. Next, my mind's eye went against me, picturing her under me as I pounded into her until her inner walls milked my cock. No, I wouldn't let myself look at her that way.

The movement behind her car caught my attention. Jason stormed through the parking lot with rage on his face, and she still came down from an orgasm. He'd catch her with her hand between her legs, and jealousy sparked inside my gut. Reaching over, I pressed the horn, honking it.

She jumped, righting herself in an instant, her eyes glancing around until she found us. Her eyes widened. Another jump as Jason pulled her car door open and tugged her out of the car.

"Have you lost your god damn mind, Chanel! I looked the other way when you spent the majority of last year so coked out it's a miracle your nose didn't fall off, but at least you never did anything stupid. At least your mother never caught wind and you became the talk of the city. You were god damn lucky!"

She did coke? I didn't get that vibe off her at all. I knew cokeheads in my family and she didn't have any of their mannerisms, and I didn't remember her acting erratically the year before either.

He slammed her against her car and she grunted. "Ow, Jason! What the fuck is wrong with you? I've told you a thousand times I wasn't snorting coke last year! I don't even know where to get something like that. You know the only drug dealer I know, and I'm pretty sure he doesn't deal in coke!"

She was right, I sold pills, weed, and sometimes Molly if I could get the pure stuff, half the time I kept it for myself when I did get it.

Jason leaned down to get his face in hers. "You're such a fucking liar. All that ever comes out of your mouth are lies, just like your mother. You're her fucking psychopathic clone!"

She pushed him away from her. "I'm nothing like her, you bastard! You're the one losing your shit on me. What's your god damn problem!"

His eyes widened. "You can't be fucking serious. What did you do this weekend? Get around, did you?"

Her arms went over her chest and she stiffened. "I was home all weekend, you dick. And I didn't get around with anyone. Sadly, I've only ever been with your sorry ass."

Reaching into his pocket he pulled out his phone. "Such a fucking liar. I woke up to this picture." He held the phone in her face.

At the angle, I couldn't make it out, but her and shook as she raised it to take it from him. "I...that can't be me. I'd never do something that stupid."

  "You're fucking covered in cum!"

  She shook her head
. "My eyes aren’t even open, you asshole." Her voice broke.

  What happened to her?

Jason scoffed. “That doesn’t mean shit. Who are you fucking around with? Looks like you did some bukake shit to me. Disgusting.” He got in her face again. “If this shit gets out, your shit up a creek. I won’t help you. You can deal with our parents alone. I doubt my father will want to associate with a whore like you.”

Chanel’s shoulders stiffened and she stared up into his face. “Then perhaps this is a blessing in disguise.”

“Jason!” One of the jocktards ran at them waving. Jason glanced his way before he pulled Chanel to him, his hand rested against her throat and he forced his lips on her. She squeaked in protest, hand going to his chest to push him off. His fingers tensed around her throat. Her hand moved to the back of his neck. She kept her lips still as he slobbered all over her. My stomach clenched for her in disgust, all of it reminded me too much of my parents.

The jocktard stopped in front of them with a grin. “Awe, look at the happy couple! You’re mine and Lyric’s relationship goals.”

I snorted. If that wasn’t the over-exaggeration of the century, I didn't know what was.

Jason pulled back from her and looked to his friend. “Oh, hey, Brian. Sorry, I can’t resist her sweet lips. What’s up?”

Brian pointed back to the school. “Coach wants to see you before class starts.”

Jason looked back at her. “Sorry, babe. I have to go, see you in English.”

Chanel nodded. “I’ll miss you every second, Jaybear.”

The two jocktards ran off together. Chanel watched them, one of her shaking hands came up to rub at her neck and the other wiped at her mouth. She glanced in our direction before she went into her car to grab her bag. Closing the door, she walked off toward the school.

  I looked to the others.

Rhett leaned forward. “What the fuck just happened?”

Sai ran a hand over his face. “I have a feeling something really bad happened to her over the weekend.” He looked at me. “Do you think she’s still fucking with us? Because I don’t.”

I looked back out the window, her retreating form getting closer to the courtyard. “I don’t know what to think. But I feel as if I stepped into a twilight zone last night and woke up in a parallel universe.”

I pricked my finger with the lancer, drawing the droplet of blood.

“You could help us out here, you know.”

I glanced at the two digging the hole, work lit up by the headlights of the car. A tarp wrapped form next to them. “Shut up and do your job.” I put the strip into the meter and the low numbers appeared. Turning on the phone's flashlight, I turned around and placed the meter on the hood of the car and took the picture. I sent it to Patrica Bishop. At least it would keep the bitch away. The longer she was gone, the longer we could play. She and her child would pay.
