My hands slide up under his leather cut, pulling it down over his shoulders. He lets it fall neatly to the edge of the bed as my hands reach up under his shirt, lifting it over his head. It cascades to the floor as he moves in, pushing me back on the bed, his body pressing down on top of mine as our tongues collide frantically.

My legs wrap around his waist as he grinds into my pussy. My clit’s throbbing so damn hard I can hardly contain myself.

He kisses me so full of need, so full of lust, I find it difficult to breathe.

We rock against each other as desperation fills me. I need to feel him, I want him so bad I don’t even care about all the other shit around me. My hands move in between us while I fumble for his belt. He shifts his weight to allow me to undo it. I jerk down his zipper, then yank his jeans over his ass.

We’re both panting as he shifts his weight enough for me to grab my leggings, working them down and sliding them off one leg at a time. The tip of his cock sits on my stomach. I can’t wait, I simply need him. So, I yank my panties to the side as I edge him closer to me. He agrees with the quick pace of this as I angle him to my opening.

I need this to be quick, hard, and fast.

Nycto wastes no time thrusting inside of me.

We both moan out loud at the delightful friction it causes. He thrusts deeper, hitting that spot just right, exactly like he knows how to.

I throw my head back. “God, yes,” I moan as he thrusts into me.

  Powerfully.

  Deeply.

  Satisfyingly.

  He fills me so perfectly.

It’s like we’re made for each other in every way possible.

My body tingles all over as he kisses my neck, his teeth grazing my skin as he forcefully thrusts inside of me. The energy surging through the room is palpable. It’s flowing through us, igniting the room, and I’m burning with the fire it’s producing.

There’s no denying what Nycto and I have is more than just an attraction, our connection isn’t just physical. Sure, it’s part of it, but when we join like this, the bond is solid. I feel it right down to the very essence of me.

He thrusts again, the mattress dipping like a soft sponge as we rock together. My body reacts to Nycto like he’s my lifeline. He drives again, so hard and fast, it sends a shockwave through my very core making my back arch. My fingers clench into his skin. My breathing is rushed and harsh as I try to catch my breath. My skin riddles in a fine mist of sweat as flashing lights dance behind my eyes. He thrusts again, and it’s all I need for him to send me over the sweet edge.

Fireworks explode like the Fourth of July, sending a wave of pleasure over me.

“Nycto… God… yes,” I blurt out as my pussy grips like a vice around his cock.

His muscles tense as he stills, his balls pulling up as his hot cum explodes inside of me. We pant as his body collapses on top of mine. He supports his weight, but only slightly as his head sits in the nook of my shoulder.

“Jesus, Eva, you kill me.” He slowly shifts to lay beside me.

“In a good way, I hope?” I murmur as he wraps his arm over my stomach.

“In the best possible way. Even though there might be trouble brewing, I would do it all again, just to have you here with me.” Nycto leans in gently kissing my shoulder as I slowly close my eyes, relaxing, taking in this moment with him.

I’m unsure what trouble might be heading our way, but if we can stay in this bubble, I sure as hell will welcome it.

  Chapter Twenty-Five

  NYCTO

  One Day Later

Sitting in the Chapel with Voltage, we’re making our way through the club’s accounts. We need cash and fast. With shit happening with Andrés, transporting might not be our steady income in the future, especially if he ever finds out about Eva and Ivy.

We need a new way of making money for the club.

“We have to think of something unique. Something that’s going to bring us in a steady income but isn’t already in the pipeline in Florida.”

Voltage rubs the back of his neck. “We could boost cars. Open a chop shop.”

“We don’t have the space, something smaller. Something we can work to our strengths. None of us are mechanics. Sure, we can find our way around an engine, and Dash is doing his mechanic’s course, but he’s not qualified enough to pull that shit off yet.”

Voltage’s eyes widen. “What if we don’t play to our strengths, but to that of the people who live here?”

  “You talkin’ gibberish again, brother?”

“Fucking hear me out. We have a club girl who’s practically a qualified chef. What if she comes up with a bunch of recipes with weed in them? A gourmet munchie that could be sold on the street. Hell, we could even open a store, and Trix could sell her baked goods, but out the back, we can have a section for ‘special’ clientele. Even have an internet shopping cart if I can figure out a way to get the point across without alerting the authorities.”

I let out a half-laugh. “It could work. We have to get Trixie on board. Good thinking, Voltage. Now let’s go find our club girl.”

We stand, exiting the Chapel to go in search of Trixie and head for the kitchen. As always, she’s inside whipping up something fucking good as we approach.

“Trix, you got a second? We wanna run some stuff by you.”

She stops stirring the mixture in her hands, focusing her attention on me. “Sure, Prez. What’s up?”

Voltage leans against the countertop as I fold my arms across my chest. “The club’s in a jam. We need some help moneywise.”

  “I’m not following?”

“Our thought process is the club creates munchies, something delicious packed full of green product. We could buy a store where you can sell your baked goods, maybe even a small café like you’ve always wanted, but then we could store and sell the gourmet munchies for a higher profit and start bringing some income to the club rather than dealing in packages. Of course, the more ‘gourmet’ products would be hidden from the public… this would be more a word-of-mouth venture.”

She places the bowl on the countertop with a heavy exhale. “You’re gonna buy me my own café?” I wink at her, and she huffs. “Well, that’s all well and good, but where are you getting the weed?”

That’s the part we haven’t thought about.

Voltage steps forward. “I have an idea. The back part of the lower bunker next to the Brick Cell is unused. It’s full of junk. Brick it off, turn it into a lab. Sure, it’s not a massive area, but it’s definitely big enough to keep us in crop. We could have plants growing at different rates, so we always have product. All we need is some good quality lighting, air and water circulation, hydroponics, and then harvest.”

“I can brick the wall off, so if we’re ever raided, it will just display like a wall the same as the Brick Cell.”

  “Exactly.”

“Sounds perfect to me,” Trixie gushes. “I’m so in.”

I glance at Voltage. “Get everything we need. We have to kick this off as quickly as possible. Obviously, our crop won’t be viable for a while, so get on the line to Venom from Ankeny, get whatever we need shipped down from him. Tell me when the livestock trailer is in town, and I’ll make sure to send a couple of brothers out to the meeting point with the van to bring in the product.”

“Sure thing, Prez. I think this is gonna work,” Voltage offers.

Trixie flexes onto her toes. “Me, too. I’m excited to trial the recipes to see what I can come up with.”

“This isn’t just your typical brownies here, Trix. We need to think outside the box.”

“Got it, Prez. Leave it with me… and thank you. I can’t believe I’m getting my own café!” She walks off.

“Better place a call to Venom.” He turns, walking off to call the president of Ankeny. Those Iowa brothers really know how to hide shit. Just like I hide bodies behind walls, they hide their bodies inside of boars. People might think I’m strange, but at least I don’t let my
pigs eat people. Who am I kidding, if I had pigs, I’d probably do the damn same thing. I guess us Royal Bastards are all as twisted as each other.

Right now, though, I need to find Void, tell him the good news—that I’ve found a way to bring money to the club. I should have run it by him first, but Void’s been distracted lately. I’m sure he doesn’t care about the choices I’m making.

Heading downstairs, I figure if Void is anywhere, it will be with Ivy, but as I approach her room, he’s not there. Ivy’s on her sofa watching television on her own.

I tip my head at her. “You know where Void is?”

“Haven’t seen him today. He’s being weird. Gone back to one-word answers and avoiding me after he came in here last night. I can’t tell what I did wrong.”

Yeah, right! I’m pretty sure I know what’s happening. Void doesn’t like to emote. If he’s started to feel something toward Ivy, and he’s realized it, he’ll be shutting down. Closing off his emotions. Becoming a void.

No one really knows why he does this, but if he’s shutting down, I need to find him before he drinks himself to death.

“Void’s a complicated beast. I’ll find Eva and send her down.”

“I’m fine, honestly. I like my own space. There’s something about this place that has me calm.”

Ivy likes living with the dead. She’s one twisted fucker, even if she doesn’t fully comprehend what she’s saying.

“There’s a room upstairs if you ever want it, but for now, you’re welcome to stay down here. Just remember, there might be times when we have to use it for ‘other’…” I use air quotes, “… reasons.”

She nods matter-of-factly, turning back to her television effectively ending our conversation. So, I spin, heading off to find Void. Making my way to his bedroom, I don’t bother knocking. I walk in and he’s sprawled out on his bed with a bottle of whiskey in his hand as he stares at the ceiling vacantly.

  Shit.

I shut the door. “Pull your fucking head in. Only one member of this club can have questionable behavior at a time. I’ve filled that quota. I need you to be the sensible damn one.”

Void brings the bottle to his lips, taking a long gulp. I walk over snatching the drink away from him, a small amount spilling from the top. He groans as I slam the bottle on his desk, then turn back to face him. “Void, stop! Like Ivy, don’t like Ivy. I honestly don’t give a flying fuck. Just don’t fall apart right now. The club needs you. I don’t know what’s coming our way, but I’m putting contingencies in place for everything. A hand at our backs if trouble comes knocking. Cash flow with the help of Trixie and Venom. Everything’s falling into place, but I need my VP to stand beside me, not fall to the floor in a damn heap.”

  “She’s too perfect, Nycto.”

  “So, this is about Ivy?”

He sits on the edge of the bed rubbing his face in frustration. “I can’t be the one to tarnish her.”

“Then don’t! Walk away! Don’t go back down there. Let her live her life, and you live yours, but, brother, if she’s making you feel something, then isn’t that… something?”

His eye twitches. “You said Venom? What’s the Prez of Ankeny helping us with?”

  Avoidance. Typical Void.

“We’re buying some weed, and Trix is gonna make some gourmet munchies for us to sell.”

A slow smile crosses his face. “You gonna sell them to the tweenies?”

I chuckle. “More than likely. At festivals. On the streets. Voltage is delving into Trixie running a café and whether we can do some kind of online thing with her baked goods being distributed from that café.”

  “That sounds risky.”

“Will probably be dark web, I’m assuming.”

“Makes sense. How do we afford to keep purchasing from Venom, though, especially if profits don’t roll in right away?”

“Here’s the clincher, we’re gonna build a lab next to the Brick Cell and grow our own crops. So, until they are viable, we’ll use Venom. If we purchase semi-mature plants, it shouldn’t take too long.”

  “You’ve thought of everything.”

“Hopefully. Now, I need my VP on board.”

He dips his chin. “I’m with you.”

“So, get out of bed. Stop your wallowing, and let’s get this club back into action.”

  The Next Day

It’s just after lunch, and everyone’s bellies are stocked full of Trixie’s Mexican Fiesta Friday feast. She does this once a month—goes nuts on all the best Mexican food for lunch. We make a real day of it, so I’m glad Eva was able to share this one with us.

She’s currently over with Trixie and Pepper talking about God only knows what. I’m amazed at how well she fits in here. She’s walking around like she’s a part of the family. Even when she found out I lied to her and she fell apart, she still came back. She’s strong, it’s what makes me sure she belongs here—her resilience. The fact everyone respects her without question helps as well.

Voltage slides into my side distracting me from my obsessive viewing of Eva as he pushes his iPad across in front of me. “Venom’s confirmed the shipment will be here within the next day or so.”

I check out the message on the screen saying exactly that. “Good. Then we can get everything underway and start bringing in an income.”

Crow steps in behind me slapping my back. “This is a good move, Prez. Being the eldest member here, I’ve seen this club go through so much. Our club involved with Andrés was never the right move. It was always going to end in something dangerous. But this… this merger with Ankeny and having Trixie at the helm, well, I’m proud of you, Nycto. This club is finally moving in the right direction.”

I dip my chin. “Thanks, old man. Appreciate it. I’ve listened to your opinions all through this, and now I see you were right all along, but we had to get to a point, and we have. I’m glad I stuck it out this far, though, or we wouldn’t have gotten Eva and Ivy.”

Crow glances over at Eva, his salt-and-pepper beard-covered lips turn up. “She’s a breath of fresh air. Such a shame Ivy didn’t come up for the feast. Think it has everything to do with our VP?”

Voltage chortles, I tilt my head in response. “Yeah, so I keep hearing. Will be interesting to see how that one plays out.”

“For sure. Right now, though, I need beer.” We all chuckle as Crow takes off toward the bar.

I swivel in my chair facing back to the table when an almighty whistle rings through the air. I don’t have a second to react before the bunker shakes, then is hit. An explosion rocks through the front of the clubhouse, sending me flying to the ground with the blast of the shockwave. My ears ring as dust and debris fill the air. My head vibrates with the aftereffects as I stumble to my feet. Concrete and rubble drop on my feet as I stagger, trying to gain my bearings. Daylight smacks me square in the eyes, temporarily blinding me as it streams inside the clubhouse for the very first time.

Bringing my blood-soaked hand up to shield my eyes, I pant for breath, my lungs filling with dust as I take in the chaos. The entry of the bunker has collapsed. Under the rubble, a pair of legs stick out. There’s no way whoever is under that slab of concrete is alive. My heart rapid-fires in my chest as I realize my club is under attack in the middle of the damn day. Whoever’s behind this is banking on my weakness. I’m forced to fight while being blinded by daylight.

“Defensive positions,” I bellow to anyone who’s still alive.

The back of the bunker is intact as I rush back attempting to find some form of cover. My eyes flash over to the kitchen where Eva was with Trixie and Pepper. They’re huddled together behind a sofa. “Trixie, take Eva downstairs. Now!” Trixie and Pepper each grab one of Eva’s arms and start rushing her toward the stairs to take her to be with her sister. I can’t fight and think about Eva right now. Eva screams out, fighting the girls, but they’re stronger together and move her fast.

“Nycto!” Eva’s shrill voice churns my stomach as I pull out my gun.
Nycto, please… be safe!” she yells.

Trixie yanks her down the stairs and out of my sight. All I want right now is to protect and tell her everything’s going to be all right, but it may not be. We’re in the open, under attack. I have no idea what’s coming. I don’t have time to call Jameson for the backup he promised. We could all be dead soon. I don’t want Eva to watch me die fighting for her.

  Judgment day is here.

Void slides in at my side as we upend the pool table. I take note of all my other brothers’ positions around the room finding shelter where they can. All have their guns drawn.

  Now, we fight.

Taking a steadying breath, my eyes shift to Void. He bows his head as the first bullet rings through the air. Gritting my teeth, I check around the side of the pool table as Andrés’ lackeys swarm the clubhouse. The sun shines brightly behind them casting their faces into shadows. My eyes sting from the intrusion of light, so I squint trying to calm my nerves.

Andrés has done this on purpose.

  Daylight.

  It will unsettle me.

  It will rattle me.

But I need to be strong. I won’t let this bastard get the better of me.

Pulling my sunglasses out from the inside of my cut, I put them on. A smirk crosses my face as gunfire rains through the bunker.

Void holds his hand out to me, we fist pump, and take off either side of the pool table.

I draw my gun high, aiming at the first asshole I see. One of Andrés’ lackeys turns to face me as I rush past him, aiming my gun at his knee cap. Before he registers what’s happening, I pull the trigger, and his knee gives out, then he falls to the floor. I run up behind him needing to get my hands dirty as he yelps in pain. Blood gushes from his knee as I move in behind, gripping him in a headlock then snap his neck before he has a second to react. The crack resonates up my body sending a wave of pleasure rolling through me. I drop his corpse to the floor as a bullet whizzes past my ear. I turn quickly, pull my gun up, and shoot. The bullet lands in the middle of the second shooters chest. Blood pools out, he grasps his chest but then falls. I keep moving.
