Playing With Fire: Paranormal Dating Agency (Otherworld Shifters Book 4)

Heat burned Troy’s cheeks, and he couldn’t deny she’d figured him out correctly. While Gabe was adamant in his disinterest in other men, Troy had less discerning taste. He liked the struggle and tightness of sharing a woman’s pussy with another man. He grew hard at the thought, and Chell’s hand massaged his swelling bulge. “Ah… that aside, I was asking if it was a requirement.”
“No. Taking turns is an option,” she teased. “And really, I can’t force you to all be with me in the same space. Whatever your comfort levels, that will control the situation.”
“What does Valdus say to this? He wants to mate you, but have you told him about us?”
“I told him. He accepts whatever I choose, and I don’t sense any dishonesty in him.”
“You shifters just go with the flow, I guess.”
She unzipped his jeans and slid her hand inside, caressing him through his boxer briefs. “Yes and no. Some shifters are naturally prone to multiple mates, but bears are not.”
Troy stroked her arm and paused. “Hmm. Will Valdus also mark you?”
“Yes.”
“But Gabe and I can’t mark you. We don’t have claws.”
“You will still be my mates. I will still be yours. We will be bound together. Our lives will connect and…” her voice trailed off and her eyes darted to the side.
“And?” Whatever she’d started to say seemed important.
“And I wish to taste you,” she said in a particularly sultry voice. Her hand found the front slit of his boxers and pulled him free. She tugged his stiff length.
“Tell me.”
“I would rather save that for when Gabe is around. We can speak of it together.”
“Promise?”
Her head ducked down, and she licked the tip of his cock, sending his eyes rolling to the back of his head with pleasure. The last remnants of his hangover evaporated, and he buried his hand in her thick hair.
Her mouth sank down his length, surrounding him in warm bliss. Though they hadn’t exactly settled matters, he didn’t see a rush. Everything could wait for now.
The front door opened and fell shut, and Gabe jogged into the room. Troy opened one eye and looked at him for a moment then closed it. Chell’s head went to lift but Troy pressed her back down. The talk could wait. He needed this. They needed this.
“I missed something,” Gabe guessed.
“I think I’m being bribed,” Troy said while guiding Chell up and down his cock. “Or silenced. Either way, I’ve given in.”
Gabe arched a brow. “So, this is you being coaxed into submission?”
“Something like that.”
Gabe walked to the end of the couch. “And where’s my bribe?”
Troy shrugged. It wasn’t his job to please Gabe in this very moment and knowing Gabe, he was about ten seconds away from finding a way to insert himself in the situation. Stopping Gabe from wetting his dick was like trying to stop a tsunami with a waffle. Troy didn’t mind, of course.
Chell moaned around Troy’s cock, sending vibrations straight to his spine. Gabe circled the room until he was behind Chell, then bent down and grabbed the decorative pillow propped on the edge of the couch and tossed it across the room. Chell came up for air and wiped her lips on the back of her hand just as Gabe took hold of her hips and lifted her from her leaned over position.
She laughed, and the bright sound pushed their troubles farther away. Gabe yanked her sweatpants off and slid his fingers between her thighs as she rose to her knees.
“You’re wet,” he observed.
She licked Troy from base to tip and looked up at him. Her dark eyes focused on Troy as she replied to Gabe, “Anticipation makes me wet. Knowing that if I make him hard and desperate, he’ll have to take me.”
“And if I take you instead?” Gabe asked.
“Do it,” Troy said.
Chell wiggled her lower body and her mouth descended back over Troy’s length. Troy bundled her hair around his fist and watched Gabe strip out of the shorts he’d worn to workout. His thick cock bounced free and he held it for a moment, sliding his hand up and down. He smiled at Troy as he stroked himself then placed one knee on the couch as he positioned himself to enter Chell.
Troy knew the moment Gabe pushed in because Chell shook and moaned around him. He lifted his hips and pressed her down, sinking deep past where she’d been teasing him before. Now he fucked her throat as steadily as Gabe was fucking her needy pussy. They all needed this. A release from the stress and tension and questions.
Chell pushed free of Troy’s hold long enough to suck in a deep breath and lick her lips before going back down. He loved the feel of her soft lips sliding over his skin and the light suction that made him want to explode. Still, he did his best to curb his pleasure. As nice as it would be to cum in her mouth and watch her swallow his load, he wanted to finish elsewhere. He’d missed her, and that made him hunger for more carnal pleasures.
Gabe’s furious pounding had brought Chell close to her climax and she slumped over Troy’s lap, no longer licking and sucking but simply resting with one hand wrapped limply around his base. He combed through her curls and studied her fluttering lashes. The couch shook with Gabe’s effort, and a moment later Chell cried out and hid her face behind trembling hands.
It was beautiful when she came, and Troy grinned as he brushed his thumb across her smooth cheek. Gabe slowed and pulled free of Chell’s body, causing her to fall to one side, legs weak and shaking.
“You didn’t finish,” she said breathily.
Troy traced his fingers along her arm then tapped it gently. “Would you ride me?”
“I can barely move.”
“I’ll still enjoy it,” he promised.
She crawled up his body and he held himself still until she lowered herself down and took him in. Though she moved languidly, there was a look in her dark eyes that let him know there was still a hungry fire burning deep inside. She wrapped her arms around his neck and moved ever so slightly, writhing in a slow, sensual motion.
He looked over his shoulder at Gabe, who watched with quiet patience while he fisted his own cock.
Troy grabbed the hem of Chell’s tank top and lifted it up. She raised her hands high and rocked against him as he removed it, freeing her breasts. She wore no bra, which was fine by him since the last thing he wanted was another barrier between them. He cupped the warm mounds in his hands and marveled as her nipples hardened against his thumbs.
Leaning her back, he dipped his head down and sucked one of the stiff peaks into his mouth to nibble. She cooed and dug her nails into the back of his neck, almost making him come in the processes. He was close, and she was overwhelming.
Gabe moved up and massaged Chell’s shoulders. “Can I join in?”
She nodded readily, mouth hanging open as she panted.
Troy hooked his arm around Chell and scooted so that the arm of the couch was against his back. Gabe climbed behind Chell, and she flinched.
“That’s…” She looked over her shoulder at Gabe.
“I’d really like to fuck you here,” he said.
She bit her lip but couldn’t hide the smile that curled regardless. Troy slammed upward into her, shaking her and making her whimper. He knew what Gabe wanted, and it required her to relax, or at least to be a bit more distracted.
Gabe’s fingers joined Troy’s cock within Chell, and Troy held his breath to keep from finishing too quickly. Chell shivered as Gabe dragged her slick fluids from her pussy back. She clenched, and Troy waited. Her head fell against the crook of his neck and she kissed him between heavy breaths.
Her inner walls tightened, and she felt crowded. Gabe had worked himself into her ass. Troy could feel Gabe’s cock moving in and out, and the sensation fueled him. He dug into Chell’s hips. She barely rocked now, but she lifted herself and kissed him.
As their tongues entwined, Gabe swore under his breath.
“I can’t… she’s a vise…”
Gabe
s cock pulsed as he groaned, and something hot and wet dripped over Troy’s sac. He gave up on holding back and now bucked his hips into Chell. It only took a few thrusts before he came, emptying into Chell’s heat. Gabe fell back against the couch and Chell purred against Troy’s lips.
“There’s a firefighter saying,” Troy said as he caught his breath. “The hotter you burn, the faster we come.”
Her lips parted in an amused smile. “I like that joke.”
A creak made him look up. Valdus stood in the hallway, and his expression was unreadable.
Troy tapped Chell’s shoulder and lifted his chin. She glanced back.
“I think you need a towel,” Valdus said and left.
Chell tried to move, but Troy held her still. He kissed her jaw and pinched her nipples, anything to keep her distracted, as he didn’t know whether a towel was actually coming, or if Valdus was mad as hell.
He returned, however, and draped the towel over Chell’s lower half, allowing her to sit without ruining the furniture further. Troy didn’t know much about microfiber, but he suspected there was no sure way to remove Gabe’s cum from it.
Valdus appeared unfazed, on closer inspection. He brushed through Chell’s hair and they stared at each other, not saying a word.
“Are we… cool?” Gabe asked finally.
Chell took Valdus’s hand and pulled herself to her feet, using him for support. He wrapped his arms around her, and she spun around to face Troy and Gabe.
“We are together,” she said.
Troy held a hand over his dick and suddenly felt awkward. Technically, he hadn’t even been introduced to Valdus yet. He’d been a bear the first time they met, then he was practically in a coma. Now he was standing behind Chell, wearing pajama pants Gabe had lent him, Chell was still dripping cum, and Troy and Gabe were just hanging out.
Gabe hopped up. “I’m going to shower. Valdus, I hope we can delay the chat until Troy and I are cleaned up?”
“Of course,” Valdus replied.
Troy stood and edged away. He took one last look at Valdus before ducking into his room. In a way, Valdus was similar to Gabe. They both had an intense stare and spoke with easy command as if they led any conversation. At the very least, he saw what Chell saw. Only time would tell if their combined personalities could co-exist, however.
Chapter Eighteen
Valdus
The air outside sung with the music of a breeze through the treetops and Valdus could have wept for how much he missed it. He’d been taken from Solara and brought to Earth, and then spent that time locked away underground. He’d been moved a handful of times, and before he thought that it had something to do with Chell. That maybe she’d been looking for him and had gotten close.
Now he realized that he was moved around as entertainment. The Earth bears enjoyed tormenting him. The mighty Solaran they’d managed to cage.
The collar was the worst part. A tiny chip that pulsed and kept him from returning to his human form. It was braided with silk, and his large paws lacked the finesse to remove it. The way Chell had simply bitten through it had been poetic.
He closed his eyes but as wonderful as the scenery was and as fresh as everything smelled, it wasn’t home. Part of him still felt caged and tormented, and he associated with the pain and discomfort with this planet, even under these stars.
Chell stood with him on the roof, tucked against his side. It had been her idea to come up and look at the stars. “Next week there’s supposed to be an eclipse,” she said. “The moon will glow orange.”
“I don’t want to be here another week.”
“I understand.”
“You understand, but you aren’t ready to go,” he said mildly frustrated.
She squeezed her arms around his waist. “I miss home too.”
“Everything here is wrong. The grass is the wrong color, even,” he grumbled.
“There’s only one moon, the sun is too hot, and people speak more to their electronics than to each other,” she agreed. “But I still await word on Dagger and Solomon. I can’t leave until they answer for their crimes.”
“You can see to that from Solara. Even once the problem is investigated and punishment decided on, you would not personally handle it. You know the Earth shifters have their own enforcers,” he said.
“There is clearly cooperation between the corrupt Earth clan and perhaps more defectors on Solara. It concerns me.”
“But that’s not your entire reason for lingering on Earth. You sent Mara home to give her report, but we should have all returned at once. If only for personal safety, as we are outnumbered down here.”
She didn’t reply. He rested his chin atop her head and sighed. “It doesn’t feel like my place to say this, but I don’t think you should have to wait for your men.”
She pulled away enough to be able to see his face. “What do you mean?”
“They don’t see what a treasure you are.”
“They deserve more time. It’s asking much of them. An entire world is a lot to give up.”
Part of him agreed with her, but he hated the sadness that lurked beneath her surface. A sadness that existed solely because she’d offered herself to two men who were now only considering it.
“I don’t know them—”
“You’re right. You don’t. But you will get to know them here on Earth, and you will understand why I find them worth my patience,” she insisted.
“I can’t live another week here.” He wasn’t exaggerating. Though he’d healed enough to walk and do things on his own, he still felt weak. His gut told him that he needed to return to Solara to finish improving. And even if not for his physical needs, his soul needed Solara. His spirit needed his clan and family and friends.
Emotions flickered through her expression, and each was filed away. Chell had become too reasonable, in a way. Now that he was no longer suffering and confined to his bed, she’d become less open, and he didn’t know why.
“There are still matters we have to discuss before returning to Solara,” she said cryptically. “But if you wish to head back ahead of me, I would understand and not fault that decision.”
“I won’t leave you alone.”
“I won’t be alone.”
“You know what I mean, and whatever you want to talk about, tell me now.” From the moment he’d started walking, he could tell something was on her mind. She’d made it clear that she worried they’d grown apart, but he disagreed and would continue proving to her that they were meant to be together.
Something else, something not directly related to her mate worries plagued her.
“You missed so much, I don’t even know where to start.” She ran a hand down his arm, which was a scarred map of his past torture. “And you still haven’t told me how you were taken, or why.”
The night Solomon had visited Valdus, the night he was smuggled off of Solara, was a vibrant nightmare that revisited him regularly. He didn’t want to relive it, but he could tell her. “I was taken because Solomon wanted you for himself and knew that he would never win you over without help.”
“I wouldn’t have mated him if he were the last male on Solara,” she said. “I did not betray you for him.”
That news was a relief, as Solomon had often bragged at having Chell. Cruel, twisted lies with obscene detail. “He claimed differently, but it doesn’t matter. I never believed him.”
Fury burned in her eyes. “Was it he alone who took you?”
“Yes. We were never friendly, but I didn’t suspect anything when I welcomed him into my home. We talked, we drank, and then I was dizzy. We fought, and he overpowered me. I realized I was poisoned too late. When I woke, I was on Earth, and caged.”
“I didn’t see evidence of a fight at your place. I checked. He must have cleaned up.”
“I’m sure he had help, though I don’t know who. But he couldn’t have snuck me to the portal alone.”
“True. I hope I took care of whatever friend aided
him,” she muttered.
“The collar came shortly into my imprisonment. At first, they thought my bear would be too dangerous to keep, but it later became more convenient. A man crying for help is more suspicious than a bear, somehow. Besides, it was more entertaining.” His thoughts drifted and he looked at Chell. “And you weren’t looking for me.”
“No, I told you, I received a message from you that you just had to leave.”
“How did you find me? And if not for taking me, what charges are leveled against Solomon?” The questions piled up as if a door had opened in his mind and everything spilled out. There was no reason for Chell to be on Earth. There was no explanation for anything that had led them to be together.
She closed her eyes and her head fell back as she took a deep breath. “Perhaps you should sit.”
“Tell me. Everything that happened while I was away.”
She smiled weakly. “We have a queen now.”
“I don’t care about the affairs of dragons unless they apply to you being here on Earth,” he growled. He wasn’t angry at her, but angry for having missed such an obvious point this entire time. He’d been too busy thinking of his own punishment and seeking to return home.
Chell opened her eyes and took his hands. “Oddly enough, it does.”
Chapter Nineteen
Chell
Restless bones and even more restless thoughts woke Chell before the sun rose. She’d stayed up late with Valdus, recounting all that he’d missed. From Solomon and avoiding planetary war to her own imprisonment and her new search for a mate, Valdus was officially caught up, including understanding why Solomon now sported her angry claw marks across his face—which satisfied Valdus somewhat.
And she was officially exhausted with it all.
Valdus’s heavy arm rested across her side and midsection. Every time she saw the scars she wanted to scream and find the worthless bastard responsible.
Valdus was not a warrior before. Strong, of course, but his strength was used for building and fixing. She used to work up a sweat just watching him chop down trees. Even now she could close her eyes and recall him, sweat dripping down his bare chest as he labored, an absolute dream.
