Jake had Ginger in the middle of a screaming orgasm in the very back of the plane when they were startled by a loud bang that shuddered the entire aircraft.

“Oh, my God, what was that?” Rose quit watching the sex in front of her and turned to nervously look out one of the side windows.

They heard the pilot through the partition that separated the cabin from the cockpit. “Mayday, mayday,” as the steady whine of the jet engines wound down. The aircraft lost momentum as the nose of the plane started to drop.

Ginger was underneath Jake and tried to get up, but Jake held her down. “Come on, sweetheart, I’m almost there.” He reached orgasm and held her down tightly until he finished.

“Get off me, you asshole!” yelled Ginger as she struggled out from under him. Once Jake rolled over on his back, she started to crawl over to the sofa.

The plane entered a steep dive, causing the glasses and the liquor bottle to tumble off the table. Jake hadn’t put the cap back on the bottle of Jack and it poured out all over the carpet, soaking several hundred-dollar bills as it rolled down the aisle toward the front of the plane.

The stench of alcohol filled the air as the captain’s voice came over the intercom, “Mr. O’Brien, we’re in a bit of a spot. We have an airport I think we can make and we’re trying to get the engines restarted, but I need you and your guests to buckle in immediately.”

“Yeehaw!” Jake sat upright. “This is going to be fun!” he yelled over the screams of the hysterical girls. He felt himself slide down the carpet a little because of the sharp angle of descent but put his foot on the leg of the sofa to keep himself from sliding any further. Ginger was directly in front of him and tried to stand a bit so she could get on the sofa but lost her balance and screamed as she started to slide feet first down the middle of the plane toward the cockpit.

“Don’t worry, honey, I got you!” Jake reached over to the side table and grabbed his rope. With a flick of the wrist, he sent his lasso through the air and landed the rope around her shoulders. She grabbed it with both hands and held on tightly as Jake used the sofa as leverage to pull her up toward him.

Just as she was back within reach, one of the jets engines came back to life. The aircraft’s nose rose and the captain’s voice came back over the intercom. “You folks back there, things are looking up, but I still need you to stay in your…ah, shit.” He cut off in mid-sentence as the sound of the engine started to wind down and the nose angled down again.

Jake pulled Ginger to him, then helped her take a seat on the sofa, where she buckled herself in. He looked at both girls with a grin. “Looks like we’re in a pickle. Hang on to your titties, girls…this is going to be a wild ride.”

“You’re fucking crazy!” Rose sounded angry as she, too, hung on to the sofa for dear life.

“Maybe,” answered Jake with a grin. “But what are you mad at me for? I ain’t flying this thing.”

“You got us all killed!” screamed Ginger.

“Nah, I got it fifty-fifty we’ll make it!” Jake couldn’t stop grinning.

Ginger was staring out the window, watching the earth get closer, then she glanced at Rose. “I see an airport.”

Jake crawled over to the side of the plane and looked out a window. “You know, honey, I think you’re right. I think he’s going to make it.”

The ground seemed to race to meet them, but they heard the sound of the landing gears being lowered. The pilot came over the intercom again, “This might get rough. You folks need to brace for impact.”

Both girls screamed at the top of their lungs.

The plane flew over a golf course at tree top level and crossed E. Robinson Street no higher than the top of a tractor trailer rig. The pilot’s approach lined up with Runway 36, but his descent was too fast in the beginning of the emergency and the plane was running out of enough airspeed to stay aloft. After barely clearing the chain link fence surrounding the airport, his wheels touched down in a grass field two hundred fifty yards short of the runway.

“I told you girls we’d be al…” Jake started to say. His words were cut off as the wheels hit a three-foot embankment on the side of a taxi-way, which caused a loud bang and made the plane jump into the air once more.

“We’re going to die!” Rose screamed as they were thrown about the cabin.

After a couple of seconds where it seemed like time had stopped, the plane hit the ground again. This time it came down hard. The starboard landing gear was ripped off by the impact with a storm drain in the embankment so, when the pilot tried to bring the plane down level, it immediately leaned to the left, its wingtip scraping along the asphalt. The pilot managed to get the plane on the runway, but the dragging wing acted as a brake, causing the plane to veer hard to the right.

The cabin filled with what seemed like dust as the plane lurched off into the field to the right of the asphalt, but the nightmare was just beginning. All three occupants, and everything else in the rear cabin, were thrown around violently as the Citation 1 tried to tear itself apart as its wing plowed through the field at ninety miles an hour. After what seemed like an eternity, the plane finally bounced to rest one hundred yards from the runway, facing the opposite direction of the way they flew in.

After a long moment of silence, the intercom crackled to life. “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the University of Oklahoma Westheimer Airport. We hope you enjoyed your flight.”

“Fuck you!” yelled both girls in unison.

Jake realized the dust filling the plane wasn’t dust. The haze settling everywhere in the interior was finely powdered cocaine. When the plane hit the embankment and lurched back into the air, the open brick slammed onto the floor, breaking open. He tried to wave the haze out of his face as he looked at his two terrified passengers. and said, “Bet you won’t forget the time you spent with Jake “The Snake” O’Brien, will you, girls?”

“Fuck you, too!” yelled the two girls again.

“Ah, that ain’t no way to talk to a guy that just gave you something to remember the rest of your lives.” Jake laughed as he started putting on his clothes. “Look here, I’m going to have to run. I got to figure out how to get a ride to the rodeo. I got just over an hour to get there.”

After he was dressed, he reached into his billfold, pulled out another wad of money and tossed it in the air. “That ought to be enough to get you two back to New Orleans.” He paused, then pulled a few more bills out of his wallet and tossed them as well. “And when the cops get here, tell them you think my last name was Jones.”

He grabbed his rope and put what was left of the cocaine back in his bag, threw it over his shoulder, unlatched the door and pushed it open as the first of many emergency vehicles pulled up alongside the plane. He looked back at the girls and tipped his hat before jumping out onto the ground. With a wide grin, he shouted back, “So long! Maybe I’ll see you two again someday.”

“God, I hope not,” said Rose, sighing as she pushed her hair out of her face. She looked at the bills strewn about the plane, then glanced at Ginger as she said, “At least he didn’t give a shit about the money.”

The first responder was a young man named Denny Wilcox, who had only been with the fire department for a couple of years. He immediately knew Jake was all right as he ran past him toward the plane, but the apprehension that had built within him as the crash played out was replaced by awe when he looked into the cabin for the first time. The last thing he expected to see were two beautiful, naked girls on their hands and knees picking up hundred dollar bills strewn about the cabin that reeked of bourbon and was covered in a fine layer of cocaine. He was stunned.

As the captain emerged through the cockpit curtain, Denny turned around to look at Jake as he sprinted away and asked, “Jesus, who the hell was that guy?” He then turned back to the pilot and added with awe, “And tell me, what the hell do I have to do to get a job like yours?”

“So are you going to be there or not?” Jake asked impatiently from inside the pay phone booth.

“Yes, but you can’t come over for a couple of hours,” Dani whispered into the handset. She paused to look over her shoulder. “Why don’t you stop by around noon?”

“Darling, that’s three hours from now. You knew I was coming. Christ, I drove all the way from Oklahoma to see you.” Jake sounded more than a little irritated. “What the hell you gotta do that’s gonna take three hours?”

“I got things to do.” Dani giggled. She glanced over her shoulder again before she continued quietly, “Why don’t you go have a few beers somewhere, and then…”

“Dani.” A voice echoed down the hall.

“Listen, I got to go.” Dani muttered quickly. “See you at noon.” She slammed the phone down on its cradle. She brushed her hair out of her face, took a deep breath, then turned and walked down the hallway toward the sound of the voice that had just called her name.

Brandon Clark stood in the doorway of her bedroom and, like her, was naked. “Who was that?” he demanded.

Dani wrapped her arms around him and gently bit his ear lobe, whispering, “It was just some asshole trying to sell me something.”

“Timeshare?” asked Brandon with a laugh.

  “Something like that.” Dani smiled.

“What’d you tell him?” Brandon asked.

Dani grabbed his hand and led him back into the bedroom. “No deal,” she said. “Come on. We still have a couple of hours before you have to go and I don’t want to spend another second of it talking about some asshole on the phone.”

“Fair enough, but on one condition.” Brandon followed her back toward the tangled covers on the bed.

Dani paused as they reached the side of the bed, then put both hands on his chest and pushed him onto the mattress. She used her hand to brush her hair out of her face once more as she stood over him and asked, “And what is that?”

“Well,” he grinned up at her, “I was hoping that you’d go back to doing that little trick of yours. You know, the one you were doing right before the damned phone rang.”

Dani got down on her knees and spread Brandon’s legs as she took his penis in her hands. Just before she put it in her mouth, she looked at him and said with a seductive smile, “Don’t worry, I’m way ahead of you.”

“I’m going to miss you.” Brandon grabbed his travel bag off the sofa. “I’ll call you when I get to Miami,” he added with a smile.

“I’m going to miss you, too.” Dani, wearing nothing but a robe, handed him his black Stetson. “But it’s probably better if you saved your quarters. I’m going to be moving around quite a bit for the next few days.”

“Where you going?” Brandon put his hat on, frowning.

“None of your damned business,” Dani answered, laughing mysteriously. She glanced at her watch, then leaned in and gave Brandon a kiss on the cheek before adding, “No, really, I’m going to drive back home and see Momma and Daddy for a couple days. I’ll be back next week sometime.”

“Can I call you at your daddy’s house?” Brandon raised an eyebrow.

“No, just call me in a couple of weeks.” Dani started walking toward the front door. She stopped short and turned back to Brandon. “Momma’s apparently not feeling too good right now, so I think I just want to spend some quality time with her.”

“Why not fly home instead of driving all the way there?” Brandon threw his travel bag over his shoulder and walked toward the door.

Dani leaned in and kissed him on the lips one last time. “Because that’s when I’m going to spend some quality time with myself.”

“Ah…I see.” Brandon reached to open the door. He paused a moment to look at Dani. “Everything all right? Anything I should know about?”

Dani hugged him. “Are you kidding? Everything’s great. I just need to take a little road trip, that’s all. I’m looking forward to seeing Trey, Momma and Daddy, plus Steph’s going to be there, too. It’s been too long. It’ll be fun.”

“Good, I’m glad.” He opened the door and stepped out onto the front porch of Dani’s Tucson, Arizona home, then turned and kissed her. “I’ll call you in a week or so.”

“Can’t wait.” Dani smiled as she watched him descend the steps to the driveway. She waved goodbye and closed the door only after he got into his truck, backed out of the driveway, then drove off down the street on his way out of the neighborhood.

“Shit!” she said, glaring at her watch again as if it was responsible for her predicament. Panic set in as she hurried around the house collecting almost every picture she had off every shelf, table, or night stand. She took them all to a back corner of her closet, where she laid them on the floor next to what appeared to be several blankets. She pulled the blankets away from the wall and used them to cover the pictures she’d just collected, which revealed a hidden stash of other pictures neatly stacked underneath where the blankets had just been. The ones she had just brought into the closet all had Brandon in them, and the ones she was about to put out all had Jake in them.

“Dammit.” She stubbed her little toe on the door frame as she exited the closet, but never slowed down as she cursed and hobbled around the house setting up photos of her and Jake. When the doorbell rang, she still had two more to go.

“Hold on!” Dani yelled at the top of her lungs. “I’ll be there in a minute.”

After she set the last photo up, Dani took one last look around the house to make sure all the pictures were in their proper places and Brandon hadn’t left anything of his laying around somewhere.

“Damn, I said I’d be right there!” she yelled after the doorbell rang the third time.

“There you are.” Jake gave her a wide grin as she opened the door. His folding suit garment bag was hanging from his shoulder, and he grabbed the suitcase sitting next to him.

Dani half-hid behind the open door as she motioned him inside.

Jake turned to look at her. “I was thinking for sure you weren’t going to be home.”

“Sorry,” Dani said as she closed the door behind Jake. “I stubbed my poor toe, and it hurts like hell.” She overacted a limp on her way to the sofa.

“Hell, I’m sorry, honey.” Jake put his suit bag in the recliner and set his suitcase down next to the coffee table. He took his hat off and put it on the hat stand before turning to Dani. “I know just the cure for a stubbed toe.”

Dani sat down on the sofa and put her right foot on the coffee table. “Oh, yeah, what is that?” she asked with a smile, batting her lashes at him.

Jake walked over and asked, “Which one?”

  “That one.” Dani pointed.

Jake studied her little toe and moved it around a bit before he said, “Well, it’s not broken.”

“That’s good.” Dani wiggled her toes. “But it sure hurts like hell.”

“It’s a damned good thing I came along when I did.” Jake stooped down and lifted her off the sofa with ease.

“What are you doing?” asked Dani with a giggle.

“Well, my professional opinion is you have a stubbed toe.” Jake started carrying her toward the hallway that led to the bedroom. “And, although I don’t know for sure, most doctors’ opinions are that the best thing you can treat a stubbed toe with is orgasms. Lots of them.”

“Oh, really?” said Dani, laughing. “Lots of them? How many is lots of them?”

“I don’t know, but we can find out.” Jake carried Dani into the bedroom and laid her on the bed, then started taking off his clothes. “I’ve got to be honest with you, though. If you tell me your toe doesn’t hurt anymore, that doesn’t mean I’m going to stop right away.”

Dani reached down and untied her robe, revealing her naked body as she said with a laugh,
“Sounds good to me, but you let me be the judge of your doctors’ opinions. Tell you what; I’ll keep count and let you know when my toe feels better.”

Jake peeled off the last of his clothes, climbed into bed, and rolled on top of her as she added seductively, “This might take a while, though. My toe hurts pretty bad.”

“Trust me.” Jake held her close and started kissing her neck. “I know a thing or two about curing aches and pains.”

“Oh, yeah?” Dani whispered, her breath catching in her throat as he kissed the sensitive skin along her collarbone.

“Yeah.” Between kisses, he worked his way down her stomach and positioned himself between her legs. Just before he went down on her, he looked up into her eyes. “I’m a rodeo cowboy. I know a lot about fixing banged-up body parts.”

“Oooohh…you…might…be…right.” Dani shuddered as Jake’s tongue found her vagina. Her hips started to gyrate as she added through short, trembling breaths, “Let…the healing…begin.”

They would laugh later and say she had five orgasms before her toe quit hurting but, after two hours in the same bed with Brandon earlier in the day, Dani had to fake every one of the five orgasms she let him think he’d given her. Jake never knew the difference, though, and Dani was proud of her great performance. Jake, on the other hand, would bring up the sexual tryst for years to come as one of their very best.

“Okay, where are we off to?” Dani walked around to the passenger side of Jake’s new Chevrolet pickup.

  “It’s a surprise,” answered Jake.

“I like the extra seats in the back. When did you get this truck?” She reached for the passenger side door.

“Couple of weeks ago.” Jake opened the driver side door and slid into the beige leather captain’s chair.

Before Dani opened her door, she stepped back to take a look at the side of Jake’s new truck. “Jake ‘The Snake’ O’Brien—Six-Time World Champion Cowboy” in big, bold letters ran down the entire side of the white Chevrolet dual-axle truck. Dani giggled, climbing in to sit down in the comfortable front passenger seat. “You don’t believe in flying under the radar, do you?” she asked with a smile.
