He looked serious as he met her eyes. “That’s something you never need to thank me for, that’s part of it. If you need me to, I’ll hold you. Whether it’s through tears or sighs or the most adorably cuddly aftercare. You trusted me with your vulnerability, with yourself, and I would never take that for granted.”
She felt a smile roll across her face until she was grinning so uncontrollably that she hid her face against his chest and felt his rumble of laughter.
“And you holding on to me right now, petal? It does me the world of good. That’s my aftercare right there.”

About The Author
Ali Williams
Ali Williams' inner romance reader is never quite satisfied, which is why she oscillates between writing romance, editing romance and studying it as part of her PhD. She can be found at the foot of the South Downs in the UK, either nerding out over local mythologies or drinking cocktails on the beach. She believes with all of her bifurious heart that writing romance is an act of rebellion and that academia will be so much better when studying diverse HEAs is naturally part of the curriculum.
About Violet Gaze Press
Violet Gaze Press was born out of the desire to see Romancelandia flooded with diverse, sexy, romance. When readers ask “Help, where can I find characters like me?” the answer should always be “Where do I start?”
We are a small indie publisher, with a passion for romance novels and the community that has sprung up around it. Entrenched in it, we were dismayed to see readers struggling to find recommendations for romance that encompassed all the beautiful variations of relationships and the people who enter into them.
We want to bring books into the world that people have been yearning to read; books that foster a sense of being seen and that make people feel loved and lovable.
At Violet Gaze Press we believe that all love is valid, that all people deserve to see themselves represented in romance novels, and we strive to make that a reality
