Phantom Knights: Electric Pulse

Luke laughed, "you can’t understand how anyone could love you or jump worlds?"
"Both," Kat leaned her head against his chest.
"Okay, what about this. If I asked you if you were given the opportunity to leave your world and come live with me, what would you say?”
"I’d say you’d need to stock your bar with more whiskey." They both chuckled. “It’s different for me, though. I never wanted this life. I’d leave it in a heartbeat if I could.”
Luke lifted her chin and looked in her eyes. “It was either leaving my world or forgetting I ever met you. Losing my memory just wasn’t an option for me. I am wondering one thing, what are they doing to do about my job, my life?"
"Sky will probably report your accidental death. Stage a body with your DNA, car accident, or something. Zafrina has power over the mind. So she can use her influence to persuade people to believe you’re dead."
Luke exhaled. "Ahhh, okay."
"Okay?" Kat looked at him with hope.
"Okay."
"Thank the Goddess," Kat whispered, leaning forward, grabbing his jacket to pull him close, inhaling his scent.
"So… How much time do you think until the others return...think we have time to…"
Kat knew the answer to that, but she didn’t reply. Only because she was dying to feel his touch. Looking into his eyes, she unzipped his jacket, then slid it off his shoulders. Luke leaned down to capture her lips while he released the zipper from her coat.
They didn’t rush, taking their time undressing each other while savoring each other’s taste. He released her lips, trailing his tongue down her neck. Luke used one of his hands to caress her breast through her top, pinching her nipple, making her moan. Kat ran her hands through his hair, massaging his scalp, with her fingernails. Luke worked his way with his tongue down her stomach, circling her navel.
Luke dropped to his knees to unlace her shoes, helping her step out of her boots. Kat started mounting the majority of her weapons, on the table beside her. But abandon the task when he unzipped her cargo pants and pulled them down. She didn’t have time to don any underwear, so she was completely bare to him. He ran his hands up her calves then around her thighs till he settled his hands on her hips, pulling her forward. He kissed her knees while running his hands behind the back of her legs.
Placing his palm on her stomach, Luke pushed back, so she was lying flat on the table. Settling between her legs, the male swung her thighs over his shoulders. Luke continued to run his tongue up the side of her thigh. The whole ordeal was erotic torture.
Kat didn’t know how much more she could take of his gentle caresses before he put his lips where she needed them to be. She tugged on his hair a little, guiding him towards her center, hoping Luke got the hint.
“Impatient, are we?”
Kat dug her heel into his back, pulling him closer. Luke chuckled but finally brought his lips to her heated sex.
By the time he finally reached her center, she was liquid. Her arousal had already started to seep between her thighs. And when he brought his warm mouth to her throbbing pussy, the floodgates burst open. Kat dropped her head back against the table as he thrust his tongue into her canal.
Kat was trembling so badly, it was embarrassing. How this mere human could bring her so close to climax, in such a short amount of time, was staggering.
Biting her bottom lip, to suppress her moans, Kat burrowed her nails into her palm, trying to prolong the sensual ecstasy. All hopes of lasting died, when he inserted two fingers deep inside her pumping fast, as he sucked on her click. Kat screamed, as her orgasm, a release that can only be described as legendary, came roaring through her. Luke continued to work her, helping her ride one of the best climaxes of her life until she sagged on the table in defeat.
Luke kissed both of her thighs before he stood up between her legs. Leaning down, he kissed her stomach, then pulled her by the hips to the edge of the table. So her ass was almost hanging off the side. When she looked up at him, the heat in his eyes and the way he licked the juices off his lips with his tongue almost made her come again.
Luke was gloriously erect, stroking his staff slowly up and down his palm. He placed on hand on her hip as he positioned his cock at her entrance. He started to ease himself in, pausing mid-way. His control was astounding.
“It’s okay. We don’t contract human diseases. And I’m only fertile once every two years, so stop making me wait. I want you inside of me. NOW!”
“Yes, you have much to explain. Later.”
Not wasting any more time, Luke grabbed her hips and thrust inside of her swiftly to the hilt. They both moaned at the invasion.
Beginning a steady pace, Luke rotated into her, slowly pulling out then pounding back in. The friction was incredible, but the speed was driving her insane. They were both on the same page. Luke began to pump harder into her, causing her to lock her legs around his waist, bracing her arms around his neck as he bent lower. Luke captured the back of Kat’s neck, pulling her up so he could catch her lips as he continued to impel himself into her. Kat ran her hands up his back, scoring him with her nails, as yet another climax soared through her. Kat’s inner walls tighten, clenching around his staff, pushing him over the edge.
After a few minutes of holding each other, they gradually came down from their sexual high. Luke brought both of his hands to the side of her face and kissed her gently. Pulling away, a touch, he gazed into her eyes. “I love you, Katrina.”
Allowing herself at this moment to be vulnerable, Kat let a single tear to escape from her eye. All her life, she was told to be strong, determined never to allow anyone to decipher a weakness. And here this man was, effortlessly professing an emotion that could easily get them both killed. Yet Luke looked at her unafraid. Kat had much to learn from this male, and she planned to treasure every moment. “I love you too.”

They both leisurely dressed, talking lightly. It was nice not to have to hide anything from Luke, now that the guy was officially one of them.
Kat talked to him about her kind and what made Knights so special. Luke got a kick out of the whole electric thing, making her show a light demonstration. They discussed more the Knights, and their specific roles played in the war. He wasn’t fond of how dangerous it was but understood it’s a necessity.
Kat answered more question about her world, trying to help him understand as much as he could. In the short amount of time they had. The male was smart, so he caught on quickly. Kat knew he had more question, but he stopped speaking for a few minutes, probably allowing time for everything to set in. Luke had just stuck his hands back into his hoody when he seemed to notice they were still alone.
“Hey, are the others okay? It’s been a while; do you need to check-in?”
Kat drew on her boots, lacing them up as she stuffed weapons back inside. "Nope. Their outside, waiting for us to finish… talking."
“What?! Seriously, for how long?”
“Long enough,” Sia stated as she and Sky walked in. “And thank the Goddess you’re finished; it’s cold as hell out there." Sia stomped in, throwing herself on the couch.
Kat looked at Sky.
"Nothing. They must have left when they lost your scents, no doubt not wanting to draw attention to themselves, but they’ll be back. Especially when Matthias finds out, you two ran. The prince will think he has the upper hand. He will send them again."
"Yeah, I know. Fuck." Kat hopped up from the table and paced, running her hands through her hair. “This is bad.”
"So, what are Blood demons? Who is Matthias? And why did he send demons to kill Kat and Sia."
Kat went to answer Luke’s question until she realized he wasn’t looking at her, but Sky.
"Blood demons are the strongest guard dogs the demon prince. Or King, whatever he calls himself these days, Matthias, can summon. They are conjured up from Hell by his blood. Their nearly impossible to defeat, since you can’t draw blood from them or they’l
l strengthen. But not nearly as much if they’ve drawn blood from their opponent. Matthias has a standing kill order against all my Knights, but Kat killed one of his allies. So I’m assuming he’d want to take out her partner, Sia, as well.” Sky folded her arms and continued. “It takes a great amount of plasma to summon a Blood. I’m not completely familiar with the dark arts, but I’ve heard from reliable witches you’d need at least ten sacrifices to create one. He must want them dead."
"Wow." Luke looked at Kat with worry.
"Yes, defeating them is problematic, but not impossible. We have to make sure they're killed quickly, with minimal blood drawn in."
"Easier said than done." Sia spoke up from the couch "What do we do Sky?" All three turned to their leader. Huh, guess she was Luke’s leader now too. Wow, what a difference a few hours makes.
"I’m sending in more Knights. You’ll need help."
"We can handle three Bloods Sky," Kat grunted out. She loved Sia, but she hated working in teams. Kat may have found love, but old habits die hard.
"Yes, you can, but four? Five? What then? I am not willing to take that risk. Are you willing to risk even one blood getting past you?"
Kat didn’t need to answer that. She’d already done the risk assessment in her head. Three, yes. Four, no, not without casualties at least.
"Didn’t think so."
"Who?" Sia and Kat asked at the same time.
"Who do you want?" This question not from Sky, but Luke.
Kat pulled him closer to her. "Ummm honey, I don’t think that’s how it works." She looked at Sky, who was eyeing Luke with interest.
"Why not?" Luke threw his arms across his chest.
"Because umm," Kat threw a look at Sky all help me here, but she remained quiet. Luke continued when no one else spoke.
“You’re saying these demons are stronger and extremely dangerous, right? It would just make more sense if you got to pick the Knights you work well with. The last thing you need is to be in a battle, fighting to the death, with people that won’t compliment your fighting style. I saw how you interacted with your sister in that short amount of time. You counted on each other; it was instant. So, it makes sense to pick your team.”
Sia and Kat just stared at him with their mouths hanging open. Damn, he was hot when he got all analytical. Maybe he was meant for this world after all.
After a few heartbeats, they all peeped over to see what her Majesty had to say. What she saw was utterly astounding. Amusement was plastered on that angelic face.
"Well?" Sky said.
Kat looked at Sia and back again. "Well, what?"
"Who do you choose, I’m sending two extra Knights. Who do you want?"
Kat couldn’t believe her ears. Sky was letting them choose their team. Get the fuck out.
"Asia," Sia said not missing a beat, probably assuming like her that this was a setup. Asia was an appropriate choice, though. That Knight was an impressive fighter, and her gift was wicked.
"Zelda," Kat decided.
Zelda’s was a borderline sociopath. Some say it was her gift that turned her humanity cold, but Kat didn’t believe that. They got along great, and she showed emotion when Kat was around. And Zelda was as loyal as they come. If she had to work with anyone, other than Sia, she’d pick Zel any day of the week.
"Very well, I’ll make the call, in the meantime," she looked at Luke, "I need you to get us better communication devices. The Knights can’t keep relying on their phones in the heat of battle to keep in touch with each other. They need to be able to go a vast distance as you know Harpies can run exceedingly fast. Kat, Sia find a new place, somewhere in upstate New York away from civilization. I don’t want you two staying in that building anymore. I want all of you to stay together, so your lofts must go. Cover your scents well. Luke will work on surveillance and security. I’ll need your oath of loyalty to the Knights in blood writing, but we’ll do that when you have everything settled."
Finish with her commands; Sky flashed out.
"OH MY GOD! She can teleport," Luke gasped.
Kat didn’t respond; she was sure there would be several things that shocked him in the future. Her attention was on one particular thing Sky said. Kat turned to her sister with suspicion.
“You’ve been staying in my building, this whole time?!”
"Yes."
"Why?"
"How else was I to keep an eye on you?" Sia said matter of fact.
"I can take care of myself, twin," Kat rolled her eyes.
"Well not back then you couldn’t, sister." Sia sneered back, "You were one feather away from tipping your scale into crazy."
"Fine, whatever. Guess it’s moot now, we’ll be living together. It’ll make spying that more efficient."
“Yeah, whatever bitch.” Sia seemed to think about something. "Where should we go?"
"Hell if I know. If it were up to me, I’d go back to my loft."
"Mind if I look for us?"
They both looked at Luke. Kat almost forgot he was here. The guy was so quiet. Kat lifted her eyebrow in inquiring.
"You two have enough on your plate. This is my department anyway. I need to find an area that’s isolated and secure, but close enough to cell towers where I can still broadcast signals to the satellites orbiting Earth. It’ll be easier for surveillance purposes if I’m able to see everything around us. And I know you four are going to need space. I can probably find a place big enough for all of us and have all the things I require faster than you can."
Kat swooned over her man. She loved it when he went nerd. Luke was soooo getting laid.
"Good idea, Luke, we’ll leave it up to you. But the place has to be big; we aren’t well versed in sharing. " Sia replied.
“What’s the budget for this kinda stuff?”
“We normally wouldn’t have one; we make a ton in investments in your world. Something I’m sure you’ll learn soon enough when Asia arrives. Plus, I boosted boss ladies master card ages ago. We’re set.” Kat rubbed her hands together in evil glee.
Luke shook his head. "Give me two days, and I should have something. Maybe you two should stay in until Sky gets your back up. I’m sure those things will be back, and there’s no telling how many there will be."
Kat was about to tell him where he could stick that idea. But Sia spoke up before she could snap her response.
"You’re right." Kat’s jaw dropped. Luke lifted it shut. "We’ll stay in. We need to formulate a plan anyway. And Sky would find a way to kill us if we died before she sent us help."
Two against one. Damn reasonable bastards. Kat wanted to get out there and track down those fuckers and show them just how bloodthirsty she could get.
Running never sat well for her. And she had a reputation to protect. But they were right, of course. Staying in was going to suck ass. But she refused to die being foolish. Those days were over.
Kat glanced over at Luke, and he smiled in return. She had so much to live for.

The Knight’s were laying low the last few days. The needed to wait for Asia and Zelda to get their affairs handled, before relocating to New York. Both welcomed the change and challenge they were soon to face.
The Knights battles over the centuries could become repetitive. Even though the possibility of death was higher, the adrenaline from being the ones hunted would be enough to appease them for the time being. The latest report was, Matthias indeed heard of them fleeing. And assumed fear, causing the prince to increase his minions by two. Which now totaled five blood demons.
Sky ordered them to stay rooted in the safe house until they were able to set up camp in the new location Luke provided. However, Kat hated being on defense. She wanted action, but she’d never risk Luke’s safety. Worse, if they were to engage in battle at an unsecured location, the consequences could be catastrophic.
Kat was on the couch, tossing one of her daggers in the air repeatedly, catching it by the hilt. She knew one thing that would keep her mi
nd off retaliation, but her better half was busy. Kat gazed over from her laid-back position to glare at her favorite nerd. Still on his computer.
Halting her next toss, Kat peeked over the back of the couch. Yep, nose to screen, setting up surveillance that would allow Luke to use the camera and media systems all around the city on his laptop. The guy has been at it all morning.
Luke said it would give them a leg up on any activity that seemed out of the norm. Meaning if any human snapped a picture of something they shouldn’t then uploaded they’d know about it. Which would be extremely valuable. The sooner they could get ahead of any possible paranormal reveal; the less clean up there would be. Kat understood why Sky needed someone like him; the more he explained his work. They needed someone that understood their species, and it couldn’t get any better than a human.
Luke had also found three possible locations to transfer. Sky had taken him out to each site, and he had narrowed it down to one. They were waiting until sunup to go and check it out and see if they approved. Kat didn’t care as long as she got out of this hell hole. They didn’t have much as far as entertainment, seeing how they didn’t want to draw unnecessary attention to their location. Which only left her with two possibilities, fuck or fight and right now fighting didn’t seem like an option.
Kat placed her dagger back in the strap at her thigh and got up from the couch. Luke was sitting at the table near the kitchen, so she went over to him. The male was so engrossed in his work; he didn’t even sense her approach. Placing her hands on his shoulders, Kat began a slow massage. He moaned a little but didn’t stop his frantic typing. After a few minutes, Kat became frustrated, so she leaned down to place light kisses on his neck. That got his attention.
“Baby?” Luke whispered.
“Hmmm?”
“I need to get this done, and you’re distracting me.”
“Can’t you take a break?”
Kat ran her tongue up to his earlobe. “Fifth-teen minutes is all I need.” She ran her hands down his stomach towards his growing erection. Once she reached home, Kat started slow circles through his sweats. The movement caused him to drop his head back against her shoulder, abandoning his task altogether.
