He would certainly go back down and finish out the evening...in time.
But he had a matter of business to attend to before he would return to the ballroom.
Henry turned and strode back to his library, settling down at his desk. He pulled the seat forward and sat up straight, opening the mahogany drawers and fishing around in the first one.
This party, these young debutantes, all of it seemed quite dull to him all of a sudden.
Henry pulled out his quill and ink and a sheet of parchment, cracked his knuckles deftly, and began to write.
He had a new idea to pursue.
