Siren Hunter- the Curse

“Lorelei, dear,” Leucosia calls out. Monica emerges from down below. “How is our son today?”
Monica’s body takes on Lorelei’s posture and demeanor as she replies. “My queen, this human experience of pregnancy confuses me. It’s all so… emotional.” She shakes her hands and arms and body to relieve herself of the emotions. “I cannot possibly tell you how our son is doing amid all this tumult.”
Brianne places her hand on Monica’s belly. She giggles. “I felt him kick!”
Leucosia joins them. “Let us give thanks to Great Mother and to our dear and loyal sisters who helped to advance our plan.” The sirens embrace in a three-way kiss. Alexei’s plane flying overhead distracts them. “Take the helm,” Leucosia commands. Brianne obeys.
Monica takes Leucosia’s hand and leads her astern. Monica brings the Open 50 into focus in binoculars, as two images of Laura watching them through the spyglass merge into one. “Erik,” she says in Lorelei’s voice.
Leucosia hisses. She studies her prey with the eyes of a serpent, ready to strike.
