Mother of All the Gods

“Good, I think you named them all. Let me explain what’s going on. First of all, after the Conversion, the Mother … I hate calling her the Mother. I mean the evil Zelda made major changes to communications to support her propaganda campaign. Her main plan was to centralize communications. This benefits us. She got rid of all the cable stations and only kept the major networks such as ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX, and PBS, so we only have to hack into these five networks. Plus, these stations are all national and not controlled regionally, so we only have to hack into the major networks and not worry about their local affiliates because there are no local affiliates. Same thing with the radio stations though there’s more radio stations.
“Same thing with cellular. To keep control over the citizenry, she eliminated all the cellphone providers except Verizon. We will shut down Verizon and continue to secretly use Sprint for the Establishment only. The power will still be on for Verizon, but it won’t be usable because our hackers have infiltrated the system and can deactivate it at my call. I don’t want to get too technical, and it’s over my head as well, but we’re going to interfere with their signals.
“I want to emphasize that they are quickly going to realize that we have hacked into their communications, and they will try to reestablish their communications. That’s why we have to move quickly to keep control over the infrastructure as well.”
“What about the police and government systems?” Lance asked.
“We’ve already hacked into those systems as well and can deactivate them whenever we want. The Mater government system primarily uses dedicated and secure satellite systems, and we have hacked into them as well. The satellite sends a signal to Public Switched Telephone Networks or what’s called a PSTNs. We’ve intercepted and control all PSTNs. When we attack, we will shut off all communications from satellites.
“The biggest challenge for us is two-radio, Ham systems. Ham is very flexible and is used for many purposes including emergency procedures. We’re sure that the Mater government has their own secure Ham systems although they probably call it something different. We’re going to dismantle the whole Ham system which is going to hurt us because we prefer to use that system, but we can’t. To effectively shut it down, we will send out major disturbance signals that will eliminate the use of all frequencies.
“The problem, though, is that we are not going to be able use these systems as well. We’re jamming it up for everyone, and there’s no way to get us a special signal. Unfortunately, we’re going to have to operate exclusively on the Spring network using cellphones which is not going to be as good as having a two-way radio system. We’re going to have to speak on the phone and send text messages.
“It’s going to be a race to who can keep control over the communications.”
The General’s explanation impressed Lance. Maybe they could pull this off, he hoped.
The General paused and sighed. “So Governor, are going to help us or not? I mean, we can figure this out ourselves, but we thought it would be good to get your ideas on how to handle the communications to the Maters and closet non-believers that haven’t come forward yet.”
Lance needed to reassure the group and stop criticizing their plans. “Of course, I’m going to help,” Lance replied. “I just needed to get the lay of the land and get all the facts. Everyone here has risked their lives and has tremendous courage.” Lance knew he needed to kiss some ass as well. He continued, “I think it’s better to wait until after the initial attack before we air the damaging videos of Zelda. Let’s see how successful we are before we unleash them.”
“I don’t think we should wait,” Lieutenant Gonzalez jumped in. “The Maters need to see that she’s an imposter. This way maybe they will revolt and join us.”
“That’s an interesting point,” Lance said, trying to maintain his control. “I guess we could do that. What does everyone else think?”
Some were ready to speak, but the General held his hands up. “I agree with the Governor,” The General said. “We need to focus on the attack. Governor, why don’t you go ahead and quickly draft a speech that you will give to introduce the video and alert everyone that the Establishment has taken back control over the country. Draft different versions depending on how successful we are.”
“Sure will,” Lance replied cooperatively. The group started gathering their belongings, but Lance wanted to bring up one more topic to enhance his credibility and value to the organization. “Hey, before we break away,” Lance said, “I just want to remind everyone that I have a special power with bees that you may have heard of.”
“Yes, we have,” the General said. “We heard that you killed a guard with the bees. That thrilled all of us to hear that. How are you able to control them?”
“Well, if they sense I’m in danger, they will attack whoever is inflicting pain on me. They will even attack inside.”
“Yes, I heard that too,” The General replied. “That’s freaky and amazing. How do you stop the bees once they start attacking?”
“Unfortunately, I can’t. They just seem to arbitrarily stop the attack. However, I think they stop once I’m completely safe.”
“So how do you think this special power will help us,” The Lieutenant said with a smirk.
“When we attack, the bees will be nearby and ready to inflict pain on our enemies,” Lance replied.
“But that’s only if they attack you,” the Lieutenant snorted. “Your power is not that great.”
A person rushed into the room, and shouted, “They have the Governor’s daughter on TV all tied up. It looks like they are getting ready to do something to her.”
The General nodded for someone to turn on the TV dangling from the ceiling.
Lance gasped, put his hand on his forehead, and braced for the worse.
Chapter 32
Disciple Luis Cane sat in his high-back leather chair, behind his massive desk, drinking a glass of brandy on the rocks. He patted his huge stomach wishing he could lose weight. He had just watched the public torture of former Governor Lance Hampton’s daughter on live TV. They had punched her, whipped her, spit on her, slapped her, and kicked her. Disciple Cane masturbated during it, feeling a rush of excitement. Oh, how he wished he was there inflicting the pain on that filthy infidel and hearing her screams. Once she cried out for her daddy, he exploded with pleasure.
He finished his third drink. It was after ten at night. He would need to pay his special residents, hidden in the second-floor basement, a visit soon. He smiled at the thought.
A door slamming, followed by footsteps in the distance, interrupted his thoughts. He panned his security cameras and he saw a group of guards marching towards his office. He squinted to see better and moved closer to the video screen. It looked like General Colin Grant and Zelda, the mother of all the Gods! What was she doing there? He wondered. Why didn’t they tell him they were coming? This couldn’t be good.
His office door swung open and slammed into the credenza. General Grant and Zelda entered. They must have come straight from the Harmon Educational Center. General Grant was in the all-white military uniform and Zelda had her usual white dress on. They barged in and stood at the end of Disciple Cane’s desk and glared at him.
Was he in trouble? He wondered. What did he do? Disciple Cane saluted General Grant, did the sign of the Z, and bowed toward the mother of the all the Gods.
Disciple Cane welcomed his unexpected guests, “Hello, General Grant, Mother Zelda, what may I do to help you? What brings you here? Why the sudden visit here?” Disciple Cane sighed.
Mother Zelda responded, “Well, well, Disciple Cane, we’ve got word that you have some special people down in your basement that you’ve been hiding.”
Disciple Cane gulped. How did they find out about the underaged infidel girls that he hid in his basement for his enjoyment? They were infidels, so he should be okay. Plus, some of them were adults now. By the scornful look on their faces, Disciple Cane speculated that they were not okay with
him having imprisoned underaged girls.
“What do you mean?” Disciple Cane asked trying to buy himself some time to figure out how to respond to this unexpected visit.
“Do you have people hiding in the cathedral’s basement?” Zelda demanded raising her eyebrows.
“No, no, what makes you think that?” Disciple Cane immediately regretted denying it.
“Well, we got word that you’ve been hiding some people. We hear that they work for the resistance, which is called Frontiers, and you’re their leader.”
“What!” Disciple Cane exclaimed. “No way. I’m a loyal Mater. I would never work for the resistance if there were any.”
“What are you hiding downstairs?” Zelda asked while gritting her teeth.
“I’m not hiding anything downstairs,” Disciple Cane said while his heart raced. Again, he regretted denying that he had people in the cathedral’s basement.
“Show us!” Zelda said pointing towards the door.
Disciple Cane nodded, but he knew he had to prewarn them what they would see, and he had to make it clear that he wasn’t the leader of a ridiculous resistance.
“Wait,” Disciple Cane said, “okay, I do have some people down in the B2 level, but it is not the resistance. And I’m no leader of any resistance. I’m a loyal Mater follower.”
“Well, who’s down there?” Zelda asked.
Disciple Cane spoke while looking at the floor, “Okay, there’s fifteen girls down there that I … um … have sex with.” Disciple Cane glanced up and saw Zelda glance at General Grant. “But they’re not Maters,” Disciple Cane blurted. “They’re infidels. I wouldn’t do it to Maters.”
“How old are these girls?” General Grant asked.
“Some are underaged and some are young adults.”
“So you lied to me,” Zelda grunted.
“I’m sorry. I was embarrassed. Mother, I didn’t want to disappoint—aaah!” Disciple Cane dropped to his knees holding his crotch. It was the most pain he ever felt.
“Don’t you ever lie to me again,” Zelda snarled. “Are you sure you’re not hiding the resistance?”
“No,” Disciple Cane gasped.
Zelda sighed and the pain stopped.
“I’m sorry, Mother,” Disciple Cane cried.
General Grant spoke to the microphone on his wrist, “Check out the lower levels. He says there are some girls down there. Search the whole area and let me know what’s down there.”
Disciple Cane stayed on his knees while Zelda and General Grant spoke to each other.
Zelda said, “If this checks out, and I think it will, that means that they bullshitted us like we thought.”
General Grant responded, “Yeah, you’re probably right, but let’s see if his story checks out. My guys should have been down there already, so they should let us know soon.”
After an agonizing ten minutes, Disciple Cane finally stood up. By that time, Zelda had sat at his desk and taken charge of his office. Disciple Cane moved to the side. General Grant stood by the door waiting to hear from his guys.
General Grant got word from his men as he listened to them on his earpiece. “Really,” he said. “How old? Oh, the Gods! How bad?” General Grant frowned at Disciple Cane.
Disciple Cane had no idea that anyone would catch him raping young girls. Even though they were infidels, he didn’t think this would go over well with Zelda, being that she was a goddess herself.
General Grant ended his conversation with his men and turned to Zelda. “Okay, his story checks out, but it’s pretty disgusting what’s down there.”
“What do you mean?”
“These are young girls. These girls are fourteen, fifteen—they’re underaged. There might be a couple over eighteen. There’s fifteen of them. They’re all battered, bruised, and have malnutrition.”
“What did you do to them?” Zelda asked.
Disciple Cane sniffled. “Mother, I’m sorry. I have impure impulses that I can’t control.”
General Grant interjected, “My guys say that they’re in pretty bad shape. Some are almost near death—they’re so frail. He’s beaten them up. My guy says that it’s gross.”
Zelda walked over to Disciple Cane and pointed her finger at him. “You are a disgusting piece of shit. Even if they are infidels, it’s not Mater-like. I should have you killed. You stupid idiot.”
“I’m so sorry, Mother,” Disciple Cane pleaded. He worried that she would inflict her pain on him again. He also worried that he would lose his beloved job. He continued his begging. “Please, please, I won’t do it anymore. I’m a loyal follower. I have a great congregation here. Please, I’ll do anything.”
“I ought to torture you some more,” Zelda said.
“Please don’t do that.”
Zelda walked away and sat back in the desk chair. She put her hands behind her head and pondered the situation.
Zelda broke the silence. “You’re lucky that I have more important matters to take care of. I will take care of you later. Your days are numbered as a disciple.”
Disciple Cain started crying. “Please, Mother, I’ll be better.”
“Shut up.” Zelda paused. “Get rid of these girls. You understand?”
“Yes,” Disciple Cane responded. “Do you want me to reunite them with their families or bring them back to an educational camp?”
“No, you idiot, just get rid of them. Do I have to spell it out?”
“Oh.” Disciple Cane liked to torture young girls, but he didn’t consider himself a murderer. Nevertheless, he would do as instructed. But he dreaded losing his prestigious job.
“Colin,” Zelda said, “we need to get back to the mansion and get the truth out of those spies. I guarantee you that they won’t bullshit us again.”
Chapter 33
“No, no!” Lance shouted after he watched the Maters torturing his daughter again. “I can’t take it anymore,” he whimpered. The General and the Lieutenant patted him on his back trying to console him.
Austin cried as well, as his sweetheart shouted in pain.
“Don’t worry, we’ll get back at them,” The General said. “We only have about six or seven hours before we strike just before dawn.”
Lance pressed his hands on his flushed face. He had to free his daughter. After watching his daughter’s torture, he had sprinted towards the door. Men stopped him immediately.
“Governor, you’re not going anywhere,” an Establishee said.
“I’m going to kill them,” Lance grunted.
Bees started hovering over Lance.
Men led Lance back to the war room to convince him that they would soon liberate his daughter and make everyone responsible pay for it. Lance sat in a chair slumped over. Austin knelt by him, tears running down his cheeks.
Austin said, “I want to go with you, Governor, and get those bastards at the Harmon Prison. I’ll break into it if I have to.”
The General’s cell phone buzzed. He stepped away to take the call.
Lance fantasized about unleashing his bees on the evil Zelda and her henchmen. Lance turned towards Austin, “Austin, we’re going to get those animals that tortured Becca.”
The General barged back into the war room by swinging open the cloth door. Men and women marched in behind him. Something was up.
The General spoke with urgency, “Okay, we just got word that Zelda and that prick Colin Grant rushed over to the Dallas Mater Cathedral. They obviously quickly figured out that Allan Anderson and the Slates lied. They’re headed to the Highland Park mansion where Anderson and the Slates are both at now.” The General shook his head and pursed his lips. He sighed. “No doubt that they will be tortured severely, and we have to expect that they won’t be able to hold out anymore. They will expose us and our locations.”
“How much time do you think we’ll have,” Lance asked while he was still sitting in his chair. The people in the room turned towards Lance, surprised that he spoke up. Lance stood up and walked to the table
among the other leaders.
The General sighed. “I would say within an hour or two at the most they will find out and probably another hour to assemble their forces to attack our location here. However, if we’re lucky, they may wait until the morning to attack, but I wouldn’t count on it. I think we must assume that they will strike within the next two to three hours. We are sitting ducks here if we don’t move beforehand. What do you think, Lieutenant?”
Lieutenant Gonzales paused before speaking. “We’re not really ready right now. Hell, we’re not ready to strike in the morning either. But we have no choice. We have to strike within an hour or two—full attack—just like we planned.”
General Cook glanced up to the ceiling, then back to his team. “Yeah, you’re right,” the General said. “Okay, it’s about 11 p.m. now. Send the group text to everyone that we strike at midnight.”
“How many locations are we going to hit?” Lieutenant Gonzalez asked.
“I’m thinking the two ammunition dumps on our list, the downtown police station that has all those vehicles, and the first ten school prisons on our list and add Harmon to the list for the Governor.”
Lance smiled at the sound of that. He wanted to be a part of that attack team. Lance said, “I want to be a part of that attack team.”
“No can do,” said the General. “This whole division is striking Zelda at the mansion. It would be too difficult for you to travel all the way to Harmon. It would jeopardize our whole operation.”
“Come on, sir,” Lance interjected, “it’s my daughter.”
“Me too,” said Austin. “I want to go with him and save her.”
“Stop it,” the General said. “Both of you. I don’t have time to argue. Governor, I need you to make a recording, so we can play it when we think the timing is right.”
