Enticed by a Thug Love

“What do you do?” I asked her as she got me comfortable again on the couch.

“I work for New York Commercial Bank. I don’t think I need to ask what it is that you do.” She looked at me with a smirk, and I chuckled.

“Nah, you don’t, but let’s just say I’m not the cops’ favorite person,” I said, and she didn’t say anything else.

“Why does your name sound so familiar?” I asked, and her body stiffened.

“We met before… outside of my grandmother’s building,” she said in a low voice, and my brows shot up.

  Fuck!

This was the chick who reported my boys to the cops and even had a video of me.

“Why would you help me after reporting me?” I asked, and she looked at the floor.

“I didn’t know it was you, and…” she stuttered and bit the inside of her lip. “I wasn’t trying to get you arrested. I just wanted you guys to do it somewhere else. My brother bought some off your men a few years ago and died from an overdose.”

I watched as her eyes glazed over, and then she quickly looked up at me. I felt bad for her and understood why she was pressing for us to move the way she had been.

“I’m so sorry to hear about your brother,” I apologized sincerely, and she nodded.

“Are you going to call the cops now that you know who I am?”

She looked at me and hit me with her own question.

“Are you still going to kill me?”

  “No, Dior.”

We both sat in silence, and then she nodded and mumbled, “okay.”

Hopefully, we could trust each other.

She stood up off the couch and walked away, giving me a good view of that perfect ass jiggling in her leggings. I had to adjust my dick in my boxers, and after shaking my head at her, I leaned my head back and closed my eyes.

A few minutes later, I heard her enter the room again. When I popped my eyes open, she was standing in front of me with a tray that had a bowl of something and a large glass on it of what I assumed was Kool-Aid from the red color.

I watched her as she lowered the tray onto my lap with a nice smile.

I raised an eyebrow, and she sucked her teeth then walked away. And, yep, I took that opportunity to watch her ass again.

She returned seconds later with another spoon and a straw. Taking a seat next to me, she took a large spoonful of the chicken soup and pushed it into her mouth. Once she ate that, she put her straw into my glass and took a long sip.

“Okay? I wouldn’t waste my time breaking my back to drag you in here and get a friend to fix you up, just to poison you.” She rolled her eyes at me.

I heard what she said, but I didn’t trust anyone with my food. If I didn’t see you make the food in front of me, I wasn’t eating shit.

Satisfied with her display, I picked up my spoon and took some of the chicken soup, which smelled good as hell. And it tasted just as good!

She returned with a bowl of her own and another tall glass of Kool-Aid.

“Where you learn to cook like this?” I asked.

“My grandmother taught me.” She smiled, and I nodded.

We sat in comfortable silence and ate. The shit was so good that I asked her for a second bowl, which she gladly gave me.

When I was done, she took up my tray and went into the kitchen.

This girl had not only saved me, but she took my clothes off because she didn’t want me to sleep in clothes with my blood on it, and then she made me something to eat. Why did she care so much? She did more for me in one night than my girl, Amber, had done for me in the two years that I’d been stuck with her.

Amber was lazy as fuck. She believed that being an ex-Kingpin’s daughter and a prince’s bitch was all she needed to do! She forever spent money like it grew on trees and bitched about every fucking thing.

The only thing I didn’t mind was that we both did our own thing, which was why I had been thinking about slinging some dick Dior’s way. We had an understanding; I could fuck other bitches, but she was the main chick. Every day, I prayed that she got pregnant for one of those niggas she was fucking, and then she would leave me the fuck alone.

“Hey, Dior,” I called out and she popped her head into the living room.

“Do you have a phone I could borrow?”

I already knew my family must have been tearing up New York looking for me.

“Sure, it’s in my room charging. Hold on.”

I nodded, and she rushed to her room. She returned a few seconds later and handed me her phone with a smile.

I entered my dad’s cell phone number and waited for him to answer. He wasn’t going to answer on the first call, so I had to keep calling until he answered on the fourth try.

“Who the hell is this?” he barked, making me laugh.

  “Pops, it’s me.”

“Shawn! Jesus, son, we’ve been looking for you for days! Fuck! I found your car at a warehouse and your phone is off and shit. What the fuck happened?”

“Popeye and Sly tried me, Pops,” I said and looked over at Dior to see if she was listening, but she had put her headphones in. I could hear the music blasting out of it, so I knew she wasn’t listening.

I swear she was making me fall for her. Amber would have been up in a nigga’s fucking mouth watching my every word.

“We know. Wrath got them,” he said, pulling my attention back to the phone. “What happened?”

“They said they were going to meet with some chicks, but it was a lie. I barely got away, Pops. They fucked me up good. Then a girl found me and took me home with her. She’s been looking after me for real,” I explained.

He breathed a long sigh of relief.

“Pops, where’s Wrath, Guns, and Legion?” I asked about my brothers.

“Apart from going fucking crazy looking for you, they are good,” he said, soothing my anxiety.

“Where are you? Let me send the boys to come get you.”

  “Hold on.”

I tapped Dior on the thigh, and she looked over at me as she pulled the headphones out of her ears.

“Dior, could you give my pops your address please, so my brothers can come get me?” I asked her, and I swear I saw a look of disappointment quickly flash over her face.

  “Oh, yeah, no problem.”

She reached for the phone, and I handed it to her.

“Hello, Mr. Ramsey.” She greeted my pops and then read off her address to him.

“No, sir that was no problem. I saw that he needed help.” Dior smiled and then looked over at me.

“Thank you. You take care too.”

Still with a smile on her face, she handed the phone back to me and pushed her headphones into her ears.

“Yeah, Pops.” I spoke to him but kept my eyes on Dior.

“She sounds pretty. Is she?” my pops asked, and chuckled.

“Pop, you have no idea.” I shook my head as he laughed.

“Alright, let me hit Wrath up before he murders every fucking body.”

My pops and I laughed together because people didn’t call him Wrath for nothing.

We spoke a little longer, and then ended the call. I didn’t know what was going on, but outside of our little banter, my pops sounded angry. When he was angry, I felt sorry for anyone who got in his way.

“Thank you.” I tapped Dior and handed her phone back to her.

She cut her music off and took it from my hand.

After she put her cell on the coffee table, she sat back and looked at me.

“My brothers should be here soon,” I let her know, and she nodded. “There’s not enough words for me to tell you how grateful I am for your help, Dior. I could have died if it wasn’t for you.”

“No problem, Jashawn.” Her sweet voice caused my body to shiver and my hairs to stand up.

Dior and I watched TV and talked while I waited for my brothers.

About twenty minutes later, the buzzer rang.

Dior and I looked at each other.
>
“I guess I will just see you around after this?” she asked.

  “Yeah, maybe.”

She wouldn’t see me outside her grandmother’s building like that again since I knew without a doubt that crew was going to be dead by the morning if they weren’t already.

We stood at the same time and walked to the door.

When Dior pulled open her door, she jumped back after looking at Wrath’s Hulk looking ass. Poor Dior looked scared as hell, and I couldn’t help but laugh at her face.

“Damn, bro, you have to scare my new friend and shit?” I spoke out, and he chuckled.

“My fault. What’s up, little lady?” Wrath smiled and offered his hand for her to shake, which she did slowly.

“Oh my god. I thought you were big, Jashawn.”

Just as she said that, Legion and Guns’ overgrown asses walked through the door too.

“I take that back,” she said with wide eyes, and I fell out laughing.

“Dior, meet my brothers, Alvaro, Pharaoh, and Meshach.” I introduced them, and she shyly waved.

My brothers nodded and then turned their attention to me.

“I’m so fucking glad to see you!” Wrath said then pulled me into him and hugged me.

I embraced my brother tightly because God knows I didn’t think I would ever see any of them again.

Guns and Legion patted my head, and I pulled away from Wrath to hug them after.

“You can thank Dior for that,” I pulled away and said to them.

They looked over at Dior again, who was watching us with a smile on her face.

“Thank you,” Wrath said and shocked me when he pulled her into his arms.

He was never the affectionate type to someone he didn’t know. Wrath didn’t even hug the bitches he was fucking!

“My pops said to hug you for him,” he said.

When they pulled apart, she laughed.

“Yeah, thanks for saving this pain in the ass nigga.” Legion mushed my head, and I waved him off.

Wrath pulled out an envelope from his back and tried to hand it to Dior.

  “What’s that?”

“Some money just to say thank you for what you did.”

She looked over at me and then back up at him.

“No, I didn’t do it for money. He needed help, so I helped.” She shook her head.

My brothers looked at me, and I knew what they were thinking because I was thinking the same shit.

Who the fuck is this chick!

“Shawn, we need to go,” Wrath spoke up, breaking the silence.

  I nodded.

They shook Dior’s hand again and left the apartment.

When I walked to the door, I stopped before I stepped out and turned to face Dior.

“Bye, Dior. Take care of yourself.”

“Bye, Jashawn, and take care too.”

I walked away from her door with a smile on my face because I knew she was going to see me again—soon!

  Pharaoh ‘Legion’ Ramsey

It took Surge a minute to walk to and get into Wrath’s Range. I knew bro was hurting.

“You good, son?” I asked him, and he nodded with a sigh.

“Those motherfuckers fucked my shit up,” he admitted.

“I’m taking you right to Doctor Chang,” Wrath said, talking about our personal doctor who was waiting for Surge at Unc’s crib.

“How did that chick find you?” I asked.

“I climbed into her car thinking it was an Uber and then passed out.”

“Damn, you’re lucky it was her car,” Guns said, and we all agreed.

  “I know.”

Surge then looked out of the window before turning around with a smile on his face.

“She fine as fuck, though. Right?” he asked excitedly, and I had to admit he was right.

When I walked into the apartment, I thought fuck, go bro!

“That, she is,” I admitted, and he dapped me.

“What the pussy like?” Guns asked, and the car went silent waiting for Surge’s response.

She was so fine, she just looked like her pussy was good.

Surge shrugged. “I don’t know. She has a nigga.”

Wrath damn near swerved off the road after hearing that.

“Nigga, you spent days with that chick and didn’t tap the pussy? Did you even see it?” Wrath asked, and I laughed.

“No, she has a nigga, what you want me to do?”

“Like that ever stopped us before,” I said honestly because we had all fucked with a taken chick before.

Shit, most of the hoes that Wrath fucked with had niggas.

“Yeah, I know, but she ain’t on that shit,” Surge explained.

“She wouldn’t even take the money pops sent for her,” Wrath added.

Surge sighed and then looked out of the window.

“Do you want me to kill her boyfriend?” I seriously asked, and they burst out laughing.

Surge laughed and shook his head at me.

  “Nah, thanks.”

“So, what happened? I know about Popeye and Sly. I already dealt with them,” Wrath changed the subject.

Surge explained what happened from the time they got to the warehouse until he woke up in Dior’s apartment.

“You know who she is, right?” Surge asked and I turned to look at him, while Wrath kept glancing up at him through the rear-view mirror.

  “No, who?” I asked.

“The same chick who kept reporting Bullet.”

The silence in the car said it all.

“What? How the fuck? The same chick who showed your fucking picture to the damn cops?!” Wrath snapped, and Surge nodded.

  “Yeah, shit is crazy, man.”

“Should I kill her?” I asked, and we all fell out laughing.

“No!” Surge quickly answered, letting me know that he was feeling the chick.

“Bro, can you really trust her?” Wrath asked.

I guess he picked up that Surge was feeling her too.

“Yeah, now I can. She wasn’t trying to get me locked up; she just wanted us to go someplace else. Her brother died from an overdose off some shit he bought five years ago,” he explained, and I sighed.

It made sense, but it also made sense not to trust her.

“I know what y’all are thinking, but I’m telling y’all, she’s good now. If she wanted to hurt me, she could have. I was fucked up,” Surge voiced, and he was right. She could have done all type of shit to him or even called the cops on his ass, but she didn’t.

“Okay, I’m going to trust your judgement on that one,” Wrath said, and we ended the conversation.

Wrath pulled into Unc’s driveway, and I saw that he was already standing out there.

As soon as the car stopped, Unc opened the door and helped Surge out.

He embraced him and whispered in his ear.

After they pulled apart, Wrath handed the money back to Unc.

“She didn’t take it.” Wrath shrugged when he looked down at it.

“I know, Pops, she’s different,” Surge said.

“Did you hit it?” Pops asked Surge, and he laughed.

“Nah, she’s got a man, but I did let her see my dick though.” He smirked, and I laughed.

“Shit, he is definitely my son. Before I married y’all mama, I was always making chicks “accidentally” see my dick, every chance I got. That’s how the Ramsey men flirt.” Unc laughed and patted Surge’s shoulder. “How are you feeling?”

“Despite the fact that a vet repaired my shit, I feel good,” Surge answered, and Unc laughed.

“Damn, sounds like you’ve been through it all.”

We all headed into the house, and Wrath took Surge down to the room where Doctor Chang was waiting, before meeting us in the Den.

We all took a seat and sighed almost simultaneously.

“What did Surge tell you?” Unc broke the silence.

“The shit was definitely in-house, Pops. That night, none of the nig
gas were out like usual, including Bullet,” Wrath informed him, letting us know that it wasn’t just Popeye and Sly like we first thought.

If they were the only ones who turned, why wasn’t the rest of the crew out that night?

Wrath sat there deep in thought until he looked up at us.

“It’s Richard. There’s no way those niggas would have made a move on Surge without his order. They’re the block boys under him. None of those fucking niggas were out that night, and Richard didn’t find that shit suspect?”

Wrath’s blocks were always working; no matter what. Each borough of New York had a lieutenant who overlooked the block boys. This happened in Brooklyn—which was Richard’s territory.

There was no way none of the boys were not around and he didn’t know.

Wrath picked up the phone and called Richard.

“Yes, boss man,” we heard him answer since Wrath had it on speakerphone.

“Call your boys. We have a meeting,” he said.

  “Oh, okay.”

“One hour,” Wrath said and hung up.

Wrath went to check on Surge and let him know that we were heading out, and then we all filed out of the house into Wrath’s bulletproof Range and headed for the warehouse.

I made sure my two guns were loaded, and I saw that Wrath was strapped with his two guns too. Guns sat there holding his semi automatic while staring out of the window.

Pulling up, I noticed that a few of Wrath’s soldiers were out there too. We all climbed out of the car, and they followed us inside. As soon as we did, everyone inside went quiet.

“Look, I’m not here to waste any time,” Wrath started before we even finished walking all the way in.

“My first rule was not to fuck with the hand that feeds you, and I guess y’all stopped giving a fuck about that.” Wrath growled looking around the room. “Right, Richard?”

I could hear the hurt in his voice because Richard had been his friend from high school.

Richard’s crew looked around scared as hell while Richard sat there looking calm.

He eyed the three of us before standing to his feet.

“It took you long enough.” Richard chuckled but stopped when Wrath laughed loudly.

“People like to say these hoes ain’t loyal, but neither are niggas.”

“Loyal?! Nigga, if anybody wasn’t loyal it was you, motherfucker! After all the money I’ve made you and bodies I’ve caught for you, you didn’t want to make me a head. Where I deserved to be.”
